Thoughts? Seems like an iPad connected to my Wii? I think it's better than I expected, but still something ill pass on until it's cheaper. |

It's far more than just an iPad. It will be directly linked with much of the gameplay using gyros and accelerometers on top of the buttons playing a part too. Gonna make for some intense games I think. |

Actually not that I know of, wouldn't want to break that controller though. |

Isn't that exactly loke an iPad, or even my Droid? Obviously it'll be way better than an iPad, being designed specifically for gaming by , but I think the concepts are similar. |

I actually don't have an iPad or a Droid or anything like that so I wouldn't know. Was kinda spewing that one out of my ass. But still, the fact that it IS made specifically for gaming means it'll likely have the responsiveness of a dreamboat. I still predict some really intense games when you have to combine that screen with the buttons. I take care of my controllers too, I don't let anyone touch them with dirty/greasy hands. |

The trick to owning a good controller is to give it a fuck every now and again. |

I'm going to wait and see on it. Very doubtful I'll buy at or near launch unless there are games I REALLY want. I tend to come in later in consoles' lifespans anyways, what with price drops and better models. But particularly with the Wii U, all the speculation I've seen about the price point is very high. Not sure how comfortable that tablet will be for long gaming sessions, either. |

Haha :), yeah Droid (i'm on my razr now, excuse any typos) / iPad games tend to all revolve around the accelerometer thing. I mentioned the controller thing cause getting a second controller or replacement is gonna have to be pricey with the built in screen. One of my favorite things they did show was how that guy could keep playing on the Wii u screen even when yhe TVs input was changed. |

As if controllers weren't expensive enough. 50 bucks for a new PS3 controller. @_@ |

After seeing the ZombiU gameplay I can honestly say that I will get a Wii-U just for that game. Dead serious. |

Yeah that right there is like...one of the most intriguing parts of the Wii-U. You can play the game no matter who's using the TV. |

Definitely, that part is awesome. What scares me is t I never liked the design of the iPad, and paka nailed why: theyre not ergonomic. I don't want to have to be like trying to prop up a screen on my legs / lap. |

The thing has grips on the back so it should be fairly easy just to hold in your hands like a handheld. Plus it's not very big and I doubt it weights more than a couple pounds so it won't be all that hard to handle for long periods of time. (Never understood how people could get wrist pains from handheld system lol) |

I don't think I even know how it works, you keep your wiimotes and use them most of the time right? |

It will have Nintendo games, so its existence is justified already. |

I think so. Or the new xbox controller that will work with it. The Wii-U and Vita will work better with games then the MS solution, but is all that extra cost worth it? And in the case of the PS3 it's more crossplatform play, right? Still waiting for that rear view mirror feature they talked about back in 2006 or wherever that was. |

Yeah, you'll still play with Wiimotes in some games but not all. The Gamepad itself acts as a controller as much as it does a screen but there will be games, like Pikmin, where you'll need the Wiimote too. |

The Wii u black controller that looks like an Xbox. You can use that for many of the games, I guess. And Xbox's solution to the extra screen like Wii U and like how PS3 uses vita with the PS3. MS solution is to use your tablet and/or phone along with the 360. |

I think this is what he's referring to (maybe not)![]() This is the Pro controller for the Wii-U for those who want a traditional controller in their hands. |

Near identical. The only differences are the D-pad which is more like a Gamecube/Wiimote D-pad, a PS3-esque USB port (likely for charging the controller) and the joystick is above the face buttons instead of being the other way around. |

Ah, didn't notice the right joystick thing, it looks really solidly built, much like the rest of the Wii u. I really think the hardware all at least appears really quality. I want to see how it all feels for myself. Its pretty cool wiimotes work too, I bought my Wii like a year ago or so and i've only played it about 5 times. I'm glad I'll bee able to use the wiimotes with Wii u. |
