Yeah, jealous. Also, found out that I *think* I can upload pictures online via my Vita... So I may actually be able to start getting some online. |

Kind words. Thanks a bunch. Will look forward to your pics. I just love the idea of setups, because i've been tweaking and tuning them since the Atari 2600 days. It's now, that I feel that I have a setup that i'm happy with in every way, and it only took 25 years or so. lol EDIT: Awesome, Focian. Don't think i've ever seen your gaming area. |

It's not too great when stood side by side with yours, but there are a couple of nice touches here and there. Like the massive metallic God of War poster above it. |

Thanks also, Serothius And damn Focian, that sounds sweet. Real sweet. And don't worry about comparisons, it's not even a relevant topic. Just share and comment. Some things about the things that other have, really get me. I remember going over Bec's brothers house, and he had built himself a nice homemade arcade with ran MAME32 and thousands of games. Similar to what i've got running on my PC with the X-Arcade stick, but in a fully built up, stand up arcade cabinet. All I could think is "i'd give up my setup for that" ha ha |

lol, she's still a beaut. When a TV can make you want to go through a game again, just to see what the rest of it looks like, it's a winner. I love that it's a 2009 flagship model, but the picture is just incredible. Perhaps i'm not sensitive enough to just how good TVs are now, but I often wonder how people hate on the visuals of games when I was just picking my jaw up off the ground for the entire play. I often wonder if game visual hate, is the result of poor calibration/quality of TV |

Finally decided to get my ass around to hooking up my surround sound (god I miss the richness of it). of course the TV sits infront of a rendered brick wall, and we don't want to puncture it. I was originally going to place the FR/FL speakers on the sides of the TV unit, but alas the consoles took up more space than I had anticipated. But hey, i'm all about being creative about my setup, so after a disappointing shop online for speaker stands, I decided to just wing it and see how I went. The end result (and quite a cheap one), was 3 shelving rails at 9.47 a pop (aussie dollars, remember) and 4 hooks screwed into the back of my TV unit. Small ones, around 2/3 inch. End result: ![]() Aesthetically, i'm ecstatic at the end result, and it sounds fanstastic and it feels good to be home. The second awesome thing is that i've got a nice place to hook up my PSeye (directly under the middle speaker), because sitting that on a flat surface is just shit because it keeps moving. Here's how my rear speakers sit (also a patch job with $2 worth of pine in 2 squares, with 2x 8 dollar letter box posts attached to them)

My setup is pretty ghetto, so I'm not gonna bother posting it. It doesn't help that there's a clutter of (mostly) useless crap around it. Speaking of setups, I fucking need either a new TV stand with enough room to put my games in or a new TV stand and a DVD shelf. Right now, my games are in a single vertical pile of about 25 games, plus two horizontal rows of 9 games right next to it. It all fits into a section of my TV stand, but I'd like more space for more games and more consoles (its just my 360 right now, with my small center speaker taking up the section above it). Edit: I should probably get some new rear speakers as well, preferrably ones that can be wall-mounted as opposed to hanging off the edge of my couch with only the wall to hold them up. >__> Edited by josh924, Oct 6 2012, 12:20 AM.

Updated photo of the setup, have a new stand. Except for a few stragglers most the games are out of the shot, on a shelf to the side, the one bad thing about this new stand. However, I like that it has plenty of room for the systems and is so open, tons of ventilation to keep them cool.

Dat pink controller. Dat heavenly light at the bottom of the stand. Did I die? Should I resist the light? |

Just one of the pink controllers, actually. Have a pink official for each. The blue is the PS3's Afterglow... I should have turned on the 360 and had the pink one lit up for full effect.
