I'm installing it now. I told myself I was going to wait but fuck it.... Might as well add to the backlog.

I have so many games on my list... I'm not sure what to buy or when. Then I run across something like Serious Sam 3 for $10 and I buy that instead.

I couldn't find it for under $30 today... so I'm waiting.

(I'll probably have it sometime next week)

Knowing Remedy had nothing to do with it makes me not really want to play it that much, even if I hear it's pretty good.

I can wait until it's $20 or lower.

It really depends on how lasting the multiplayer is going to be. If the community stays alive for a decent amount of time it might be worth a buy.

Its probably too late to get any of the preorder bonuses eh? I know Best Buy was giving $10, and Amazon usually does something like that as well.

Played it for around an hour or so and it definitely feels like Max Payne. The story is told through cut scenes instead of the comic strip style but I expected that would be the case. Gameplay is nice and tight and the visuals are pretty decent too.

I'm playing in normal with free aim ( I hate that auto aim horseshit) and enemies drop quick, kinda wish I'd started on hard. Haven't played multi yet so no opinion there.

I played the first few levels and didn't really 'feel' it. Took back the (borrowed) copy the following day.

Seemed very impressive but, much like Bioshock, I just didn't enjoy what I played enough to continue.

I was actually the same way with Bioshock, couldn't get into the demo, twice. Eventually grabbed the game for $10 and ended up really liking it.

Tales of Vesperia was another. After I finished Lost Odyssey, I tried playing that, and I stopped really early because the game just annoyed the hell out of me. Mainly the characters. And I've stomached really terrible characters before if the game entertained me, Tales of Vesperia just didn't.

Now a game I just really didn't like was Alan Wake. I couldn't stand that game. I liked nothing about that game, after repeated tries.

I agree Gorilla.

Alan Wake sucked. My main problem was that I just hated Alan in general. And the light gimmick in the combat got old after the first level.

These are the games that make me hate the concept of stories in games. The story lovers jerk off over games like Alan Wake, and quite simply the story in this game sucked.

That sums it up for me. I couldn't stand the douchebag Alan Wake, couldn't stand the story, and the gameplay got really tedious, really fast.

I was actually really looking forward to that game too.

Terrible game. Cannot believe people defend it, too. They say the story is immersive and you have to run around looking for hidden themoses?

And the god awful twists? The two old fart rockers. Did I really just have a stage battle?

God....terrible game just thinking about it.
