Well... if you end up liking the game you would definitely get your money worth out of it. Especially if it gets even 25% of the support the PC version does... which seems a little unlikely, but who knows. I know a guy that is completely addicted to this game. Hundreds of hours and still going strong. |

One of the kids my wife used to nanny for was addicted to it as well... was always playing some iteration of it whether he was at home in front of the PC or out to eat @ a restaurant - little dude loved him some Minecraft! |

Ha. The awesome thing about this poll is that you read the title, "DAMNIT I WANT MINECRAFT!!!"", then as you read it, you go over the choices and such. Halfway through this process, Gabrius again reminds you "DAMNIT I WANT MINECRAFT!!!", then continues with the rest of the choices. Best poll yet. |

PC version is definitely better. That said, I'd go where you have the most friends playing it. |

I think it's pretty cool. I usually wait for DotW for everyhting, but dropped 1600 on it. So far I've played it a lot, got my moneys worth fo' sho'. But then, with Gabe's frugality, doubt you would buy it even if everyone recommended it anyway

Oh christ, forgot about your backlog. Yeah, definitely wait for a DotW man, dont want to waste quite a bit of cash on essentially nothing. (20$ for you American types, I believe) |

Well if you want to build stuff, it's there. And it's miles better for building than Minecraft. I'd only suggest Minecraft over TMF if the survival/monster aspect is a big deal for you. |

On that note, I actually have Castle Miner Z. I bought it for a more "action" game, but the NEVERENDING spawn of skeletons when the sun goes down is damn near insane. They never end. Ever. And you can't build houses or anything. So I dug and dug and dug and made a big hole. Then I realized they'd just jump in and slaughter me and I'd have nowhere to run. So I started digging... uh... Left? Yeah, left, while in my hole, and I made a big winding path underground where I have to keep jumping across big holes to get around until I felt safe. Then I decided to make a little home in my new safe area. So I started digging around... and dug into a big cavern... Now enemies can get in... And I got so pissed I haven't played since. |

I just started digging and digging to see how far I could go down, I was amazed when I ended up in an underground cavern. I expected to hit an invisible wall, and instead found that. Very neat. |

Minecraft can be very addicting, but it can also be dreadfully boring. When I first got it, I spent upwards of 8 hours building a wooden castle. Then, I spent about four hours building a tower in the middle of the castle. Next, I couldn't think of doing anything else so I quit playing. After about a week, I decided to build a bigger, stone castle around my wooden castle. It took my a LONG time, but that was it. I can't think of anything to do now, so I've been taking a break from it. |

I was really addicted to it for awhile, but haven't touched it in a bit. I'm sure I'll go back to it though, just have other stuff I want to work on right now. However, if I'm playing and any of you want to join my game, feel free. Griefers will be publicly humiliated. Anyways, my favorite thing is just tunneling around finding materials. I have a massive network of tunnels a few layers above bedrock. I also like to experiment with seeds, entering all sorts of random and profane stuff to see what kinds of maps I get.

You need serious time to get into minecraft. Ideas flow like Niagara Falls, and it's so hard to commit based on your free time. So if you're gonna get it, make sure you've got the time for it. |

I disagree with you on that one, KillaK. The beautiful thing I found was that these ideas grow out of a tiny bit of playtime. I would go as far as saying that the opposite of what you have typed is what I have found (although I imagine it is different with every person) in that someone will just play for twenty minutes AND NOT A SECOND MORE!! Twelve hours later, they have created a whole other universe! XD Minecraft is not a game that you need to make time for when Minecrack steals your time from under your feet and refuses to let you go! If I never go back on that incredible game, it'll be too soon! |

I don't mean you have to commit to a long play session. I know it's a time sucker. I just mean you really have to say "ok, do I have 15hrs to burn right here and now"... "no"... "damn, no minecraft today" Any time I even remotely get into it, BAM it's 3am and i've gotta be up for work in 2hrs. |

I woke up once at about 9AM, my other half got up and hour later and started playing at 10AM. A twenty minute break for food and two trips to the toilet and it is gone 11*PM* before she was done. I can't play it anymore... I start to see everything in blocks. XD |

I did not realize that I had not voted yet. I voted DOTW, as I don't want Gabe to start accumulating a lengthy backlog or something of this nature. |
