The other day you asked me on GFaqs where I've been.

Good to see you on here, you limey bastard. :D

Haha so annoyed I've been missing out of this place. I also asked recently where Kungfu was at, I guess he was here too.

Just remembered that I'm always playing Broken Sword. I swear I must have brought every possible copy.... PS1, PC Hard Copy, GBA, Wii, IPhone, Steam Digital Copy. I'd still buy another if it was released on XBLA. Really been wanting to play through Alundra again lately aswell.

Also I'm currently replaying FFX but I dunno if you consider that classic yet.

Broken Sword is pretty great. Played for the first time on DS.

Any of the sequels as good?

Well well I think it qualifies. I'm REALLY looking forward to the HD version on the Vita. Portable Blitzball? HELL YES!

I'd play a standalone game based on Blitzball. Quicken up the pace, stat growth, scouting reports, contracts, a minor league... I'd play that.

Yeah Broken sword 2 is fantastic aswell. Definitely 100% you should play it. You have the HeLeeham Personal Guaranty of satisfaction. I'm finally getting around to playing the third myself so I'll let you know how it turns out.

I never played FFX...

And I spoiled the entire game for myself by watching Spoony's review. Oh well.

Portable FFXII please!!

FFX HD is the only thing making me want a Vita. You should still play it Arucard. Although it sucks if you know most of the key parts of the storyline. Only game to nearly bring me to tears :,(

The FFVII scene didn't do it? It did to me. I admit it. I balled my eyes out.

And I want a Vita for PSOne support, whenever they do the firmware update. I made a whole topic about that. Portable PSOne RPGs? Yes, please. (I did it before on a PSP but using different CFW versions for different games was too big a pain)

Same here, glad I'm not alone.

Hello, by the way. I don't think we ever bumped into each other at the other place.

That one is also sexual.

I have to admit, on the note of that FFVII scene, I find that game to be one of the most overrated games I have ever played. I don't think it's bad at all. I enjoyed it when I played it, but there was nothing there to keep me coming back like a lot of other FF titles. I also didn't care for quite a few of the characters.

Man, that felt good, considering everywhere else I've been that would have been an offense punishable by death... and I didn't even talk shit about it.

Final Fantasy VII IS undoubtedly one of the most overrated games of all time.

The scene did get me because I was like 11.

But FFVII as a whole is rather terrible. A subpar plot, bland characters that are never really fleshed out, TERRIBLE combat...

On the combat: This is what I hated about VII and VIII. Party selection doesn't matter. It's "what character model do you like the most?" The only thing that differentiates one character from another in battle is their limit breaks. That's it. Anyone can use and do anything because of the Materia system.

Final Fantasy IV and IX (especially IX, you got whatever party the game gave you in IV) is totally different. In IX, a party of Zidane, Steiner, Eiko and Quina plays entirely different than Zidane, Vivi, Amarant and Dagger. Party selection mattered. in VI, with the Espers, at least party members had unique commands to make them unique. Once you got Edward with Tools, forget it, the game is over... No other buttons are needed.

I thought the scene in FF VII was nowhere near as tear-jerking as the similar one in Phantasy Star IV. Anyways, VII, VIII, IX, and Tactics are among the games I have on my Go. However, X alone will also likely be enough to make me take the plunge and get the Vita; that one is my favorite of the series.

I LOVE X.

My favorite character? This surprises everyone, since people always say Auron.

Wakka. I love Wakka. His hair is stupid but you can get past it. His "older brother" relationship to Tidus is very well done. Auron was cool for about an hour, he never really "evolved" as a character like Wakka did. Well, he kinda did when you see Braska's old Spheres, but that wasn't enough for me.

I'd love a prequel following Braska, Jecht and Auron during their travels.

Jecht having a boss battle against the Shoopuf... :P

I like Auron for his badassness but I agree on Wakka too. Favorite character is definitely Jecht though. Badass and good character development. How good can you get? jester::

Of all the classics on my Go I've been working on on-and-off that I hadn't played before, Grandia seems to be grabbing me the most. Not far in, but I really like the battle system and how colorful and lighthearted it seems to be.

Surprisingly, as I love the old point-and-click graphic adventure genre, Myst is not grabbing me. I like to at least have some idea of WTF is going on at the beginning.

On the topic of point and click, look into the Walking Dead games. Very well done.

I bit the bullet and got a Vita yesterday, Paka. Final Fantasy IV Complete is the first game I got.

And it.
Is.
GLORIOUS!

It's the only version of IV I never played, and I always wanted to correct that. It's just so.... it's so perfect in my eyes... and the redone sprites? The animations? The spell effects? The fact that it finally has the original unique commands for all the characters? I couldn't even lotion Gorilla's ass, my hands were shaking!

For myself, To Zanarkand has yet to be bettered. LOVE that beauty of a track.
X is by far my favorite of the series, and even have To Zanarkand on my iPod.
We talking piano To Zanarkand? I like this version more myself.
