Martyrdom is still in MW2 but its a death streak. This death streak doesn't get unlocked until higher levels (late 40s i think). As much as i bitched about death streaks before it came out they are actually a good idea. They only activate in situations where you are getting spawned camp. Or if you are having a bad game and die 3+ times in a row. As for ranking up. Before i got banned i got to level 32 i think. And my time played was about 7-8 hours. You get more points in this game but its all proportionate so it takes about the same time to level up I think. I guess you'll see on tuesday.... im going legit now since Microsoft can now detect changes in firmware from the new update (thats the thought/theory anyways). I figure i wont play another game but Mw2 in the next year anyways so might as well buy it. |

They are predicting that MW2 will make a half a BILLION dollars in the first week alone and will have 10,000 stores open at midnight. I'm guessing 1 Billion dollars by Christmas. This will surpass GTA IV which was the largest opening of any entertainment media (TV, Movie, Music). |

I'm hearing that a lot of people are getting LEGIT copies early. Check around small stores. Or you can do this... 1. Go to Wal-Mart 2. Go to the clothing department 3. Ask some old lady if they have MW2 4. ???????????? 5. Play MW2 |

Any company with a computerized inventory system can make it so items can't be sold until a specific time. Even if you found a copy of MW2 at a big box store, the register wouldn't let you buy it. A long time ago, the U2 album Achtung Baby came out and I found it at Costco about 5 days before it came out. Their registers did let me buy it. |

I bought the first call of duty the day it came out. I thought it was one of the greatest games ever made at the time (besides half-life 1). I was a huge PC gamer back then, I got call of duty 2 when it came out for PC too and I was in a few clans. Come to think about it I played every Call of Duty game ever made except for Big Red One, which i think was an expansion more than a sequel (anyone confirm this?). Long live the call of duty frachise. Has anyone confirmed that the original call of duty will be made available for download on tuesday? I know it comes with hardened and prestige editions of the game. |

Big Red 1 was the COD2 for the xbox. They made the console COD games separately until 3, where it looks like they started porting. The other COD game that nobody mentioned since it's not worth mentioning is Finest Hour. I hated that game. But yeah, COD gamer ever since the first, and Medal of Honor gamer since it first came out on PS. I think some of those guys went to the COD team. Oh.. and huzzah, less than 24 hours! I know my Game Stop will sell it at midnight but you don't have to have it pre-ordered. You just have to get there around 10pm and pay for it and get in line. |

I got my copy today for $40 (I did the Toys R Us swap from an earlier buy 2 get 1 free deal) I'll probably play an hour or so of MP tonight. Will save SP for when i have a larger block of time. |

just finished the SP on veteran and if all you have done so far is play MP i HIGHLY SUGGEST that you start the SP.... my jaw dropped litterally about 5 times due to what was happening. Seriously play the SP |

I thought it was a good change seeing that in the third mission or so you are fighting on American soil, it really changed the war game perspective for me running past all the SUV's and American flags in all the yards... |

I'm liking the Sp so far. Only doing it in Regular right now and then will go back my 2nd time through on Veteran. I like the wide variety of locations for the SP. I just finished Burger Town and I liked that a lot. I'm guessing that SP on Veteran for me will be challenging because I tend to die a lot. Also, on MP. I'm going to have to change my playing style to work with the spawns. I run around way too much and over penetrate their spawn areas in domination. It's going to take some time but I think I can slow it down a bit. I'm almost done with the M4. I like the maps but the servers have been really busy. I'm getting kicked every once in a while. Once I get through SP, I would like to start to do some Spec-ops. Anyone down? |

Tonight I want to finish getting my 500 kills with the m4 and level up to the high 20's, I could play some Spec-Ops tonight and I want to finish about 3 stories in SP. Should be a busy night. The wife is tolerating right now. By this weekend, she'll be ready to divorce me. I did get a pretty sweet 26" HDTV to play Xbox and PS3 on last night. The "Man Cave" has begun. Next, surround sound and a small fridge. I'd like to get a computer in there also at some point. |
