Packers vs Vikings. Should be a wild game, though it's going to be tough for the Packers. |

Gah Baseball! I played The Bigs 2 demo... By the time I got to bat I was down 42 points in the first inning. Hate baseball! But the game looked fun if you like the sport. |

lol. The guy does bring an energy to the whole team though. He did for the Packers too. my mind = Blown. I didn't expect the Packers to win , and it was hard to watch, but that was one of the best games I've ever seen, once I get past the fact that my team lost the game... but still played amazing against another amazing team. He's great but he's out for himself, and only himself. He can talk about teamwork all he wants, you could see in that interview at the end, he kept saying "I" but changed it and talked about Rogers, and wanted to compare himself and show us all how well he did even though it was obvoius. The guy is legendary, but don't believe for a second that he's about anything else other than winning for himself. And it's hard to really convey how Packers fans feel about Favre. He was a hero to many of us for years, but it became apparent that he didn't want to practice, only wanted to show up for the games, and distanced himself from the team. Take a guy like Favre, who goes back years before Mcarthy, and if you asked most of us years ago that we would go against Favre, it would be unthinkable. But as it unfolded, and when you follow the story, it's very hard to feel any kind of loyalty or belief in Favre. And that is a hard thing to deal with because he's such a great player. EDIT AGAIN: Wow.. the Brent Favre conference, he just compared the Viking fans to the Lambeau fans... WOW is that telling of what he's about. He pretty much just dumped on the Packers fans and has stars in his eyes because the Dome went nuts for him. I don't think he really knew what a Packer fan was. The wool just keeps unraveling with this guy. Now he's talking about how great the group of guys he's working with is. LMFAO! The guy is as transparent as a piece of glass. VIKING FANS: Get ready for that song and dance. The second you put the team above #4, watch how quick that song and dance changes. Edited by CapwnD, Oct 6 2009, 12:42 AM.

I no longer wish to speak to you cap. lol. I am a diehard Vikings fan and have watched Favre the first four games this season and I doubt he is playing just for himself. There were plays where he would go out of his way and block a guy just so his teammate could gain some extra yards. Like last week vs the 49ers where after a throw he ran 40 yards down the field and took their best linebacker. He has so much enthusiasm and is always laughing and playing around with teammates and getting their spirits up and getting them back in the game. Its not like last year when he was playing with a messed up shoulder with a team he barely knew anything about their offense. I agree with the packer fans being upset with Brett for playing with the Vikings. But its his career and they should let him do what he wants. If he wants to play let him play. Their going to have to eventually let it go. Its not like Favre was replaced with a terrible quarterback. Aaron Rogers is a good quarterback with great future with the Packers. Maybe the fans should stop focusing on hating Favre and start supporting the quarterback they have now. But your entitled to your own opinion and I get how a packer fan would feel. I would be mad to if Adrian Peterson all of sudden went to play with the Packers but I would eventually get over it and support the new back. Wow this is the most Ive posted in a long time. I guess when you feel strongly about something you want your voice to be heard. |

I don't think a lot of people know the full story, and you'll see more as time goes on. Watch how he doesn't want to do training camp, he only wants to show up for the games. When I say he plays for himself, I mean he want's to win... of course he's going to do the blocks and all that. But when you get a (literally) crying Bret Favre saying one thing, and doing another... leaking stories to the media to string along the team and the fans, waiting until the last minute to make his decisions whether he's retiring or not... that hurts the whole team. The packers needed to look to the future, especially since HE RETIRED! It's INSANE to think that it's ok for a QB to treat the team that way, and to put the entire team in a position where everything rides on his decision to come back or not EVERY YEAR. The man was a god, and Packer fans loved him with all their hearts. Short of watching Favre killing somebody in cold blood on National TV, ask any packer fan if they would have dreamed in a million years that things would have unfolded they way they did. But the stuff he pulled, his performance for the few years prior to his last GB year, was causing the Packers to have to look at Aron Rogers as the starter instead, and since Bret wouldn't take a back seat, his intentions this whole time was to get to Minnesota for revenge. it wasn't simply that he left to go play for the Vikings, it was everything that lead up to that. So when you say "let him go" to pursue his career... you have to remember that HE QUIT THE TEAM FIRST! He quit, They concentrated on Aron Rogers, then Favre later decided he didn't want to leave, demanded to be the starter again, and was let go instead. Now that we don't see the Vikings for awhile, trust me when I say the fans will have moved on again. The Favre drama has sickened us all to the point where it literally brings a bad taste to the mouth. We're glad to be done with it and to have a Quarterback as good as Rogers minus all the drama. lol I could go back and forth on this all day. But it doesnt really matter because whats done is done and you could argue about it all day and it wouldnt change anything. I am sure one year with Vikings won't do anything to his amazing legacy. I wish to say nothing more on the matter because further discussion would probably anger me and I like being a calm person. Cap no hard feelings I think as long as we dont discuss Favre anymore it will be alright. Deal? lol |

Sure, no it's nothing personal at all. It's just that people think that the Packer fans just hung him out to dry, and that's not the case at all. I was trying to say that it takes something huge to to take the Brett Favre legacy and just throw it aside and to be sick of hearing the guys name. That's how many of us feel. But right... I won't bring it up anymore. Not until the next game lol! |

Just like this preseason, he says he isnt going to play for the vikings, then with what, like a week left in the pre season he signs with them? He didn't want to play in those games or go to the camps. He wanted to waltz right in and be the starter, and he did because the vikes really didn't have a QB. He probably wont be at practice the next few days because he probably has to nurse his aching bones and what not. He looks good now, yes, but I have a feeling by the end of the regular season he will start to get worn down and will not play at as high a caliber as the vikes need. |

i gotta put in my two cents on Favre. The guy is a legend no doubt but he definitely is all about himself at this point. Making blocks for extra yardage is only a means to his personal ends. Afterall....HE BENEFITS. I'm not saying he's not a nice guy (I like him a lot) nor do I blame him for his selfishness...(afterall, football is also just a business). But he figuratively shat on his GreenBay fans.....fans who have been with him for over a decade. BUt he'll remain a legend no matter what happens. |

my 2 cents is who cares. its not this is the only sport to have this happen. NASCAR had this happen with one of its legendary drivers. i say both sides suck it up and root the team they root for cause in the end.......THE BEARS ARE GONNA WIN. |

Untill the LIONS comeback from their 0-16 record last year and win every game except for the packers games. Then they will lose to the packers in the playoffs but still have a good record |

San Fransisco looks like they have a decent team. Which surprised me. Also surprised with the Broncos and how the steelers are kind of struggling. You never know how a game or season is going to go. You can say before a game that the team will dominate the other but you never know whats going to happen. Edited by bloodshed, Oct 6 2009, 09:55 PM.
