I've finally had a game get a crack coming from the middle that was so large, it ran into the DVD contents, and the game is unplayable. Microsoft has a replacement plan for certain games: https://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/gamesandmedia/games/discreplacement/DiscReplacementPlan.aspx EDIT: WHAT THE HELL! It costs $20! This is very disappointing. |

If you have an extra xbox you barely use, you should mod it for certain games. Just an idea if you have a bunch of scratched games. Or rebuy the game used for 20$ or less. Xboxs are so cheap these days if you get banned its only the price of like 3 new games. Worth it if you can get past the immoral aspect of stealing...but hey, 70$ for new games is almost stealing in itself in my opinion. |

I've considered it. I do have an extra 360 too. This is the first game that's actually cracked, but my WaW discs are on their way to cracking. I'm just irritated that such a simple problem couldn't have been forseen or that they wouldn't have a better plan in place. The faulty consoles are bad enough, now this on top of it is insulting. Like Badour was saying... the console is really only the price of three or four new games. And now the games are falling apart... Even if I got banned once a year, that would still be cheaper than paying for all these disks if they're just going to crack anyways. The ironic thing is that when I google "xbox 360 dvd crack" and similar searches, a bunch of piracy things come up. |

I haven't had an issue with cracked games but I do have an xbox that was scratching discs a lot. I had GTA IV for 1 day and it scratched my disc. fenix |

my first cod 3 disc almost cracked in half... I bought it from Best Buy and it cracked within the first month so I returned it and got a new copy. That's the only game that has come close to breaking on me. |

My shitbox 360 scratched my WaW. 3 MP maps don't work. I would be fine if SP was broken, but C'mon... |

I remember when that happened to my cod4 disk. I couldn't play a couple maps so I actually went a bought a new game at full price. sooo, i payed about 150$ total for cod4.... That was one of the biggest deciding factors for me to get my xbox modded. |
