Get the wired ones. I believe they're the xl-1's. I love them. You can hear people walking around the map on COD. I had the wireless ones that my wife bought me but every time you fired a gun, it muted the volume for some reason. It also had low volume on in game chat. The wired ones are also nice because it does game sound and in room chat all in the headphones. That way you can play and everyone in the room doesn't have to listen to the game. |

I am considering buying one for MW2. My mics are shit.... They always break up when I talk. Might as well put a few more bucks and get X1's. I heard they were the best. |

I went with the X1... the X3 was only $15 more but the closest Best Buy that still had them in stock was across town and I hate that drive. And I heard bad things about the X3, such as what Fenix said, and how it sucks when the batteries are dying. They're pretty neat. They take some getting used too... it's weird to hear everybody else so good, but then to barely hear your own voice because of the fact that you're wearing headphones. i almost wish my voice would come over the mic too. I do like the game sound, and headphones are always really great for that... but I do miss my nice sound system's sound too. The ideal solution for me would be to use the NFL coach headset, which had the full sound for chat like the Turtle beach did, but only in one ear, and no game sound. But fenix makes a good point about how the turtle beach won't pick up the game's sound through the mic...i know we all hate that. I dunno.. I'll probably keep them. |

Cool. So far, the cord is a little annoying, but really not that bad. Now if it stays WORKING I'll be happy. That's the problem I had with the NFL coach headset... Perfect headset. But the cord from the headset to the mic kept breaking, and like after only a week both times. |

You mean in the actual room you are playing your 360? You can still hear, barely. Sometimes I'll play with a noisy fan and I don't notice the fan at all anymore... but at the same time I can still talk to haximo when he's talking to me. The strangest and hardest thing for me to adjust to is that I can't hardly hear myself when I talk. Put your hands firmly over your ears... it's about like that. Personally I'd prefer a one-ear setup, but I'm still digging this so far. Played another few hours last night and I really can't complain. The comfort factor really isn't much of an issue either. After a long time, I take them off and my ears are a bit sweaty and feel funny, but after a minute or so I'm good to go again. Really not much worse than the regular 360 headset except that they're a bit warmer. |
