i dont know if any of you can help but here is my problem... i bought a mixer to mix audio from my RCA splitter and a microphone. the audio from the RCA cables work perfectly fine but we cant get the mic to work at all. here is the mixer http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102920&tab=accessories here is the mic (basicly the same) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10992443 the mixer only uses mono output for mics and 1/4 in. jacks so we bought an 1/8 to 1/4 adapter so it would fit. thats where i think the problem is but i cant tell. any thoughts |

My first thought is that the 1/8 to 1/4 adapter you bought is a stereo adapter. You may need a mono adapter. Radio shack is really good about taking stuff like that back for refund or exchange. The only thing I like better than playing with computer stuff is rigging up analog audio stuff to make it work well. What are you trying to do? |

andrew is right. i was trying to get it to where i can have audio from the game and from the mic at the same time when i broadcast. i already have 2 adapters and both wont work. the 1 i know wont work cause its a 1/8 mono male plug to 1/4 stereo female jack. but the other one is 1/8 mono to 1/4 mono phono jack Edited by SuB Zer0 83, Jul 20 2009, 03:52 AM.

It says there's 4 RCA and 4 mics.. you're using a different channel for each, right? You're not trying to use the same channel for the RCA and mic? |

Sub, I'm too lazy to start a new topic so I'll post my question here. I need a new router, the Linksys WRT54G that I have has pissed me off for the last time, what would you suggest I get as a good router Cap? It doesn't really have to be wireless, I don't use it here at school because my laptop is right next to the router, but come next May I will be in a house so I'd probably use wireless then. Any suggestions? |

This is the cheapest one I would get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127254 But I would pick something from Dlink: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2050410145%2050001015&name=D-Link |

If you're looking to save money, you could buy this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127091 and then if you wanted to go wireless you could use your linksys set up as an access point. Personally I would flash that Linksys with DDWRT, then you can do even more with it.... but even without flashing it you should be able to set it up as a wireless access point, and your actual router would be the Dlink. I could walk you through that if you decide to do that. Edited by CapwnD, Oct 14 2009, 09:29 PM.
