My wife totally caught me off guard and bought me a ps3 for Christmas w/ two bluray movies (Dark NIght & Casino Royale). The only bad thing is I have to wait until it arrives in the next few days. Hey Cap, is the thing pretty much plug and play? If I recall correctly, when you got yours you had to install or update stuff..I think. Can I just plug in the console and play, like most other consoles? Thanks! |

There's updates before everything. It won't take more than a few mintues for all of them.. it's just a little annoying because you download a demo, then you have to install it, then sometimes there's an upate.. a little gay. But once you have your games installed and updated then it's not a big deal, obviously. It's nowhere near as bad as a PC as far as all that, but it's just a little annoying. Congrats man... We got Dark Night and Matrix Trilogy bluray. Add me to your psn, same as my GT. We'll go around home together. Don't worry if you don't have a mic, or we could chat through Xbox too. Or if you have a usb keyboard, that's how most people communicate in Home. |

I'll probably end up getting a KB as well. I received an extra wireless dualshock controller, Casino Royale and Dark Night on Bluray as gifts too but I still havent received the PS3! It's killing me! haha....I'm dying to watch Dark Night again but this time on BR. I'm pretty sure my PSN name will be same as my GT too. |

Best Buy has the PS3 with a free game (I would get Kill Zone 2) for the price of just the console. I was wondering, how do you charge your controllers? I know it comes with one battery but do I have to buy a separate charger? |

It comes with a cord to charge the controllers. The battery is part of the controller. |

yup..what he said! comes with a usb wired that attachs from the console to the controller (kinda like the x360's play and charge kit) woohoo...another ps3 joins our ranks! (i hope) |

My girlfriend thinks im a loser because I use my headset to talk to people while i play games. I bought her a Wii for christmas and now she understands why i play a lot of video games. Because they are awesome and Rock Band 2 has taken her life over hahahaha Plus she loves that WiiFit thing. Such a girly system IMO But at least it gets her off my back about playing vids. Cmonnnn PS3 for christmas! LOL |

dude...my wife used to think I was SO gay when she would come over (back when she was a GF) and see me playing with the wired headset on. Over the years she's gotten used to it though. lol I was playing killzone2 with a co-worker the other day in a private match.....my co-worker is a lawyer and suddenly his GF gets on the mic and is like..."you guys are sooo gay! how old are you?" My wife likes games that I generally dislike (Puzzle Fighter, Dr. Mario (wii)) BUt there are some games that we actually play together and love...like LIttle Big Planet. Women love this game. Fenix...you and the wife could play it together. A lot of fun to be had here.....and unexpectedly I might add. Badour...I got my fingers crossed on you getting a ps3 bro! haha |
