Sudaku Susanoo Meimori stalked through the vast countryside surrounding the city. The rolling hills of mostly untamed grass was almost like the Savannah, except without the heat or the exotic wildlife. Sudaku was thoroughly camouflaged with both patterned clothing and paint, making him invisible to the untrained eye.

There was a movement to his left, which he followed with the quick slash of a knife. The blade streaked through the air in a gloriously precise wave of steel-colored death which quickly became red madness. The rabbit dropped dead and Sudaku swooped his kill under his arm and began walking towards his cabin in the woods.

Archer, whose identity Sudaku had not yet deduced, appeared behind him silently, and quickly followed in his master's trek.

"I still don't understand the purpose of living out here. You have enough magical control to mask my presence adequately within the city," Archer said, his red coat flowing methodically in the wind.
"I've been over this before," Sudaku said, "Even if I can dampen your presence, the least I can do is teach to the value of becoming undetectable by more conventional means. For instance, nothing that I do within this shack can be traced. For instance-" Sudaku cut himself off mid-sentence and dropped to the ground. Something had been making the grass ten feet to his left crack. It was probably some kind of wolf or dog trying to make a makeshift kill for itself. Archer sighed and traced Kanshou. He lazily tossed it towards the source of the sound, and turned to his master. "Can we go now?"

Sudaku grunted and got to his feet. "You can never be too careful. Now follow me, we're taking a little detour." Sudaku was still not satisfied that he was entirely alone, but his paranoia had saved his life more times on the battlefield than he could count. Mental instability had its finer points...
