Seeing the boy's fingertips glow white, Jay's right eyebrow curled up in curiosity. What sort of spell is this? Jay thought as the boy shot five small bolts of electricity towards him. With his danger sense that he had developed over the years, he dove to his left in the attempt to avoid the attack.

However, he wasn't nearly as successful in his endeavor as he would've liked, as a single bolt clipped his left shoulder paralyzing it.

"Excellent response." Jay commented as he spun his sword around his right hand and adopted a modified fencing style stance. Now I can't throw any more knives and my combat effectiveness is limited once more until he uses another lightning spell. Looks like we're going sword to sword until he attempts a lightning spell to finish me off.

Jay charged towards the boy with his brown eyes focused calmly at the target.
Jay - 120/165

Archerko stepped out onto the arena just in time to watch the Berserker flee the arena.

"At last we meet again Saber." Archerko stated as she approached the blond swordsman. The wind blowing her snow-white hair and the bottom of her red duster. "I can guarantee that you do not remember me, but I assure you that I have never forgotten you."

"Gehem." Archerko said as she conjured her twin scimitars, the altered Kanshou and Bakuya, "But where are my manners, I am the servant Archer, like my teacher before me."

Adam's Mana: 230/310

Adam grinned as one of his shots actually hit their target. It wasn't a critical hit, nor was it super effective, but it had apparently gotten the Association Man's left shoulder. That should keep him off of those knives, he thought to himself as the man switched stances. Now was his chance to gain the upper hand. Swinging his sword across and around his body, the blade was suddenly alight with crimson flames that were flung at the man from a distance in a spiraling stream as the sword was swung forward.

Adam's Mana: 205/310

Saber was about to pursue the Berserker when her bones chilled and her eyes shot wide open at the sound of a familiar light-hearted voice. Slowly turning to where it had come from, she stared in amazement and disbelief at the girl standing before her. "Illya...sviel," she said, her voice reflecting her expression. The girl had been wrong, Saber remembered the snow-fairy-like girl very clearly due to her unique contract with the world as a servant. The lengths of time between the Grail Wars passed for her as if they were nothing. She could hardly believe what the girl that she knew before, that didn't seem capable of fighting herself, was now standing before her again, this time as a servant.

Turning around fully to face Illyasviel, Saber didn't raise her sword or show any intent to kill. "Why are you here, Illyasviel?" she called out to the girl. "Why have you become a servant? Do you intent to do battle with me here? To what end?"

Jay dive-rolled to the right to avoid the spiraling blast of fire before returning to his feet. I need to close the distance between us quickly or he'll fry me.

After returning to his feet he charged once more towards the boy, before lunging at the boy with his katana.

I should be able to use my left arm soon since I am slowly regaining feeling in my hands. Jay thought as a couple fingers on his left hand twitched.

Ilya frowned at Saber's words.

"Well this sucks." Ilya pouted as she lowered her swords, "I was hoping to face you to see how far I've come to being a 'hero of justice' then talk my master into taking us out for Haagen Daiz ice cream or some shrimp. But I get to tell my story instead."

"In any case, I nearly died a year after you left when my artificial body began to deteriorate, but thanks to Shirou, Rin and you. I lived however, the procedure had some unexpected results. I gained some of Shirou's projection ability and after making a contract with the world to defeat the demon that killed Shirou or should I say Archer as you knew him as I became a Counter Guardian just like him." Ilya stated as she raised her swords, "Since I gained the ability to fight I secretly hoped that our paths would cross once more so that I could see if I was worthy of being your replacement at Shirou's side, even though I never became more than a sidekick to him. You see after you left he changed, he began fixated on being that Hero of Justice and never allowed anyone to take your place in his heart. I could see the pain in his eyes everytime he walked into your room and saw your stuffed lion and that picture of you on that dresser."

"It's not fair." The white-haired girl pouted as her hands trembled, "He gave me everything I could ever desire but the one thing I really wanted, his heart. It belonged to Saber, he said. Why did you have to leave him on that day at Ryuodu Temple? And to tell him that you loved him just before you faded away, how cruel can you be. Both Rin and I tried for years to take your place to fix his broken heart but all that he wanted was you and you walked away from him."

Steeling her resolve, the lithe silver-haired snow fairy gazed towards the blond Saber.

"I don't know whether I should be happy to see you or rather I should hate you for how you left my onii-chan." Ilya said as she applied her reinforcement spell to her legs. "But I also can't kill you since I owe you my life, so how can this end?"

Adam readied himself as the man named Jay rushed at him with his sword. Adam grinned as he was finally about to get the fight he wanted without those stupid knives of his. Drawing his sword back along his body, he waited for Jay to get close and lunged forward, throwing his sword out in a dramatic stabbing motion.

Both swords missed. With Adam's blade moving under Jay's right shoulder, Jay's blade slid right by the side of Adam's neck as the two passed each other without a single contact. Landing over his aggressive forward leap during the stab, Adam turned around, brought his sword over his head, and swung down at the back of Jay's head.

Saber stood dumbfounded and silent as Ilya told her what had happened after she left after the last Grail War. Even after she had gone, her old Master had never forgotten about her and, just like him, he had carried the memory of it to his grave. "Shirou..." she whispered the name from her lips with barely enough volume even to be heard by her own ears. Now, Ilya had become a Counter-Guardian too, a fate that somehow didn't seem fitting for her in her eyes. "Very well, Illyasviel," she said finally. "If you have also become a servant in this twisted battle for the Holy Grail, I shall only tell you to fight for what you want to achieve. That's the only way you'll ever find freedom and piece." She then raised her sword to an idle combat stance. "Come and fight with everything you have. If your will to win is stronger than mine, than you shall be victorious."

Seeing the boy disappear from his line of sight, experience told Jay that his opponent was planning an attack from behind. With the speed of a kendo master, Jay executed a one-eighty turn and parried the boy's attack.

"Impressive." Jay remarked as he attempted to use the leverage of his momentum to force his opponent to stagger immediately before reversing the grip of his katana so that the blade pointed away from his thumb and lunging the slender blade towards the boy.

Jay felt his left hand finally begin to move as the boy's Rai Gandr's effects began to wear off. I only need to hold off for a few more minutes until I can use my left arm.

Ilya nodded as Saber finished her sentence closing her eyes and creating twenty non-magical blades around her.

"Here I come, Saber!" Ilya said as she 'fired' all twenty of the swords towards Saber before charging at full speed towards the better swordsman.

I will defeat you so that the next time I see Shirou, I will have no regrets about living his dream. Ilya thought as she quickly approached the blond with her twin scimitars drawn.

Jay's parry worked and his follow-up caused Adam to stumble slightly to the side as his attack was deflected. While he was still regaining his balance though, he yanked his sword hilt-first up to defend him and it blocked Jay's strike.

"You're not too bad yourself," admitted Adam as he swung his sword to push Jay's blade away. They were already in close-quarters by now so he didn't even have to move in to make an upward diagonal slash at Jay's torso.

Finally, Saber sprang into action as Ilya's swords came hurling at her. Dive-rolling to the right, a few swords stuck in the ground where she was and she quickly had to knock two more of them away before she could even get back on her feet. Some of the swords she never actually saw, but her precognitive instincts made up for it. Her movements weren't exactly graceful and were somewhat desperate to defend or dodge all of the swords and when she finally knocked the last one away, she looked up to see Ilya charging her. The swords in her hands were ones that she had seen before several times. There were some slight variations, but they were definitely Archer's twin swords, Kanshou and Bakuya. It seemed a bit unreal facing those swords again, but she returned the charge anyway. Clearing the distance between them with a single lateral bound, she swung her invisible sword down from over her shoulder with a powerful slash aimed not at Ilya, but at her swords.

Seeing the boy take advantage of the boy's reach by stepping into the area where his katana was more of a hindrance than a help. Well played, Jay thought as he watched the boy counterattack with a rising diagonal strike as he took a step back to dodge the attack with the tip of the Tsurugi no Arashi cutting through the floor of the arena.

Keeping his eye on his opponent, Jay tried to move his left arm a small amount to determine how much control of his arm he would have. Keeping a straight face, Jay mentally smiled as he felt his forearm move a fraction on a centimeter.

It won't be long, just a few more minutes, Jay thought as he switched to a defensive stance similar to that of a knife fighter, Jay's eyes focusing entirely on reading his opponent's body.

"Well done, fellow mage. It has been a long time since I've had an opponent that lasted more than three minutes." Jay commented.

Crap, I forgot that she had an invisible sword. Ilya realized as Saber swung her sword down towards her.

Raising her twin scimitars up to guard her front shattering as the invisible blade impacted them. Crap. I need to make them again only stronger. Ilya thought as she reprojected the twin blades in her own unique design. Instead of the small stocky defensive shortswords that her teacher used, she had redesigned them so that they looked more like the slender scimitars that middle-eastern warriors used to use.

Swinging her twin blades once more at the blond swordsman, Ilya pondered as to what her goals truly were.

Growing more and more confident that he could win after being put on the defensive with having to roll earlier, Adam charged at Jay when he once again assumed a defensive stance. "If all you're going to do is defend and wait for the fight to come to you, I'll be more than happy to bring it," he spoke loudly as he moved in, lunging wildly forward at Jay's lower torso with an accompanying stab.

Saber didn't blink as Ilya moved in with her now modified Kanshou and Bakuya. Instead, she combined her quick eyes and natural instincts to parry and block each strike from the twin swords that was thrown at her. Ilya was definitely strong. She could've even been on par with Emiya, the heroic spirit Archer from the last war. Her movements were quick, but they had one inevitable flaw. She had seen them all before. "Come now, Illyasviel," said Saber in the same calm voice that she always had back then even when not in battle. "You may have become much, much stronger, but you have learned combat from Shirou, and thus you fight like him. Having fought with Shirou and observed the previous Archer, I understand the basis of their style very firmly. You will have to create your own variation if you wish to have a chance of defeating me."

Jay smiled a little inside as the boy lunged at him with a shortsword. I've got him right where I want him. Jay thought as he regained complete control of his left arm.

With the speed of a cobra, Jay batted the boy's wakizashi away with an inside parry, before using his gauntlet-ed left fist to uppercut the boy squarely in his solar plexus knocking the wind out of the boy.

"Dammen." Archerko said as the blond swordsman easily blocked her attacks, "It's hard to improve on the style of a master."

"Well, it looks like I have no chance of beating you in close combat." Ilya said as she leaped back a few feet. "But then as I recall, Shirou himself couldn't even touch you with a sword."

Archerko said as she she unsummoned her twin scimitars and projected her other named sword, the Joyeuse. A completely unremarkable European legendary long sword that once belonged to Charlemagne and whose only ability was the fact that the blade constantly changed colors.

Conjuring twenty more swords around her like a shield she fired ten of the swords as she ran towards the other woman.

Adam realized his mistake too late. He had gotten cocky and moved in recklessly. As the gauntleted fist nailed him in the solar plexus, he was pushed up off his feet from the force of the blow and he landed on all fours, gasping for breath. Only one thought was going through his head as he sat there for the instance. He had to get away. He had to get some distance. Just as it had before, his body moved without him moving. He didn't move a muscle, but he skidded across the ground and slid back for about five meters which is all he could manage by holding his breath. Then the little bit of air in his lungs came bursting out and he fell on his stomach, gasping for breath, but it wouldn't come. He wouldn't pass out from it and his head was clear, but he couldn't move at all.

"You're right," answered Saber as she listened to Ilya's comments. "Never once was Shirou able to defeat me in close-quarters combat." She still stood still as Ilya dispersed her twin swords and projected another one followed by numerous others. "If anything though," she said as she eyed the floating swords. "Your skills of projection magic are a thing to fear. I'm impressed by your progress as a magi, Illyasviel." As the ten swords were shot at her like bullets, she drew back her invisible sword and the gyrating wind around it became visible and as she swung the blade forward over her shoulder, the frenzy of wind currents lashed out like a hammer, knocking away the incoming swords and leaving her with a direct path to Illyasviel. Saber charged, knowing that she would be at a disadvantage unless she got into close range where Ilya couldn't shoot anymore swords at her.
