In the universe of Fantasia, there are ten dimensions. The dimensions do not exist entirely separate of the others, but none of the dimensions, excluding Norua, knows of the existence of the other dimensions. The dimensions are, however, intertwined with one another. If, say, one dimension was obliterated, the other dimensions would be affected; probably resulting in an increase of natural disasters, or something of that sort.

1: Children, Guardians, and Abominations
In the universe of Fantasia, the substance known as Abyssion is a great danger to all of the dimensions, but is largely unknown to the inhabitants of all of the them, excluding Norua and Akfek.

To keep Abyssion in control, Abominations (which appear as tortured, demonic, floating heads) absorb the Abyssion into their own bodies, horrible disfiguring themselves so that they look like what they do. Every dimension has an Abomination, excluding Akfek. Abominations' elemental affinity is always darkness.

Guardians act as gods. They watch over dimensions and make sure everything stays in check. They also watch over Abominations and attempt to ease the pain of Abominations by using healing spells on them. Guardians also assign out souls to bodies. Whenever a person is born, the Guardian of the dimension takes one of the souls awaiting reincarnation, or creation, and implants them into the body. Guardians take the appearance of a maiden wearing a white robe. Every dimension has a Guardian, excluding Akfek. Guardians' elemental affinity is always light.

Children are souls created by Guardians and Abominations, commonly referred to as their offspring. There is one in every dimension, even Akfek. Guardians implant the souls of Children into normal human beings, granting them immunity to Abyssion as well as granting them above-average abilities. Children do not know that they are Children; they think that they are regular humans. The souls of Children are put inside a new body when the body they are using expires. When changing bodies, all of their memories are erased.

2: The Elements
There are four true elements in the Fantasia universe. The four elements are Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Every element has an opposite element. Fire is the opposite of Water, and Earth is the opposite of Air. An element can be fused with another element to form a compound element. Opposite elements cannot fuse, however. Here is a list of the compound elements:

Fire + Air=Lightning
Fire + Earth=Magma
Water + Earth=Nature
Water + Air=Ice

Lightning is the opposite of Nature, and Magma is the opposite of Ice. Besides the true and compound elements, there are two celestial elements: Light and Darkness. They are opposites of each other. They cannot be fused with other elements, and they are rarely the affinity of an organism or spell.

On the subject of affinities, all living things have an elemental affinity. An organism's affinity must be a true or celestial element; the affinity of an organism cannot be a compound element. Only spells, and Remnants, can have compound elements as their affinity. Spells and Remnants can have true or celestial elements be their affinity as well, as a side note.

3: Souls, Mana, and Remnants
Souls, in the Fantasia universe, are very important for a variety of reasons.
  • 1: Souls generate Mana, magical energy. Organisms can utilize Mana to generate Gates, openings in the dimensional fabric. Gates take unstable Mana out of the space between dimensions (the Dimensional Rift, or DR) and focus it into an object, form of energy, force, or something else, depending on the type of Gate. Fire Gates, for example, will focus the Mana into something fire elemental, such as a fireball. There is a Gate type for every element; whether it be true, compound, or celestial. Gates look like floating glyphs which are the same color as the elemental affinity of the spell, or Remnant, being created by the Gate (red for Fire, blue for Water, brown for Earth, light green for Air, orange for Magma, yellow for Lightning, dark green for Nature, light blue for Ice, white for Light, black for Darkness).
  • 2: Souls determine the psyche of the person. More importantly, Abyssion feeds off of souls. When a soul has Abyssion feeding off of it, the organism's psyche is severely altered. It also affects the Mana output of a soul. It makes a soul generate x10 as much Mana as before, but un-stabilizes any Gates created by the organism, making it so that all spells cast will be abnormally more powerful.
  • 3: Very strong souls leave behind an imprint which, when they pass through a Summoning Gate, will "tune" to the Gate. Then, when the Gate is created again, the Gate can take the unstable Mana from the DR and turn it into the Remnant, giving it physical form, so that it can fight for the summoner, or do other tasks for him/her. The soul of a Remnant can be tuned to multiple Summoning Gates, which will most likely belong to different people. However, a Remnant may not be summoned in multiple places at the same time.

4: Abyssion, Zero, and Armageddon
Abyssion is a black, gooey substance which is extremely hard to find in all of the dimensions, excluding Akfek, where it is extremely common. It is most commonly found in very dark places, like a cavern or a chasm. If Abyssion comes near anything with a soul, it will suddenly come to life and leap onto the organism. It will then be absorbed into the organism’s body, and it will latch on to the organism’s soul. It will feed off the soul of the organism, severely altering their psyche, most probably driving them insane. Abyssion duplicates while feeding off of a soul, and it’s offspring will depart from the original host body and make their way to a new host body upon maturing, which takes approximately 30 minutes. As previously stated, Abyssion also alters the soul so that it produces x10 as much Mana as normal, and it also affects any Gates created by the host. The Gates will turn the unstable Mana from the DR into much more powerful spells than normal. If a Remnant is summoned by a person with Abyssion in their soul, the Abyssion will attempt to infect the Remnant. However, for some reason, Remnants seem to be impervious to Abyssion. Children are also impervious to Abyssion, along with Guardians. As a side note, Abyssion can pass through solid objects, and it cannot be destroyed by anything, besides the legendary Remnant, Ark. There are also two substances which Abyssion has trouble passing through. Mythril is extremely hard for Abyssion to pass through. Mythril, however, is rather rare, and hard to make into anything like a suit of armor or something. The other material, Orichalcum, is the ultimate defense against Abyssion. Abyssion cannot, under any circumstances, pass through Orichalcum. Orichalcum, while extremely rare in all of the dimensions, excluding Norua and Akfek, is much easier to craft into things, and is commonly used by ZER0, and Armageddon, for armor. Abyssion, if it comes into contact with a Gate or if it is put inside a trans-dimensional teleportation device (TD), can be transported to another dimension.

ZER0 is a trans-dimensional organization which attempts to find Abyssion and lock it up in a Haven, a large safe of sorts which is completely composed of Orichalcum. ZER0 was started in Norua, and they have taken the teleportation devices, which are common place in Norua, and changed them so that they can use them to go through dimensions and gather up all the Abyssion. Over the years, a small portion of ZER0 split off and formed Armageddon, an organization which, using ZER0 tech, goes through the dimensions and gathers up Abyssion, attempting to find a way to use it for their own gain. ZER0 members have been taught to kill Armageddon members on sight. Armageddon’s base of operations is on Akfek, while ZER0’s is on Norua.
