My only way of getting her is at the Medina show next weekend though, I think Foot and wendy would make a good pair, Colors are nice but I want type first. And crosses that wont give me more frosties.

Rose sounds awesome, Noa has a super high head set...One other problem, I think REW's are the ugliest rabbits ever. Her and foot maybe... :D He is just a normal poser, cute, pudgy and loveable!

LOL yes i know they aren't sopose to sit super high, but they are sopose to be higher then most judges around here care to put them... top of the head should be even with peak of the rabbit...just Like flash's pic under my user name. I have found if you breed the higher more natrually posey ones you don't have to worry about the crappy judges we get here in OH that refuse to pose them... even if they sit too high all the judge has to do is push them down a nudge the ones that sit too low is like fighting a loosing battle in my opinion try to force them up and they stiffen up and you end up with front feet off the table makingthe rabbit feel worse....years of experience talking here the table huggers do not stay here, they only produce more table huggers. also most rabbits with a low head set in the fuzzies I have found are also longer in the shoulder... just an observation I have found
rose isn't a table hugger...her pose is fine and she makes some nice babies. and yes i know you won't get rew if they dn't carry it, but 9 1/2 times outta 10 your sable ponts carry rew...unless your sable point is actually a seal point and that would be a super dark sable point.

I'm in between with REW.

They aren't my favorite. But, I certainly don't hate them. They tend to have lighter bone and smaller heads, unless you have the right lines.

Tab, REW is used to clean up the seal point (make the sable point, in escense.) So, if you have a clean sable point, that is truly colored correctly, then the chances are very very high that it either has Pointed White, or REW behind it. Pointed white cannot carry REW, therefore the clean ones with pointed white in the background most likely won't throw REW. But the other clean ones always throw REW if the other parent carries REW.

Seal points are just that, seal. So, lack of REW.

REW is a really obnoxious color to deal with though. LOL. It can't carry shaded. It can't be shaded. But it can be broken. And it can carry pointed white, but pointed white can't carry it.....blegh. Its all so confusing!! :weee:

Megan, Noa is a seal point, so, if you bred Rose to him, you wouldn't get REW. Tab, does foot carry REW?

And if you breed foot to your frosty, you will get frosties. Just so you know.

And good point tab. These judges pose them like mini lops. Ha ha. Its alright though, I have some table huggers that still can win. I haven't found table hugging vs. holland sitting to be genetic at all though. So, I dunno whats the deal with my rabbits.

LOL I agree with ya onthe REW stuff only gonna add that the only real way to truly know the genotype is to test breed...I have seen several darker sable points throw REW so you just dn't know unless you test breed it for sure.

i dunno if foot would carry rew would have to test it out, mom's ped is all tort, but dad's ped does have a rew last generation and a couple sable points on it soooo its possible.

as for frosties...if you breed it to a tort that you KNOW FOR SURE doesn't carry the "ch" (chin, sable) gene you won't get more frosties... frostie is just a chin with a non-extention gene. and Not everything carries te gene for it. its a Little More recessive then tort. just breed for type, Like you said and if you get more frosties you can always sell them as brood or pets. :)

Foot carries it most likely then. I got a REW when there wasn't a sinlge one in either of the parents 4 generation pedigrees. LOL.

Yeah, I mean, something would have to mess up my seal point theory! Hahahahahahaha! Just my luck. ;)

Foot wouldn't carry chin, would he?

he wouldn't carry agouti now but the ifhe has sable points in his ped, he would have the posibility to throw them if bred to a chin per say...sable point gene is chl chin is chd...not a huge difference LOL thats why megan got the frostie kayla is Outta rose so she had the ch gene from that and her orange buck..agouti, obviously is hiding it smomewhere persay...Im not explaining very well LOL but the agouti mixed with teh ch gene from grandma = frostie

I used to get chins and frosties outta flash all the time....the frosties i coulda done with out cuz they were always the best ones and always does...bummer not to show them LOL

That is SO wierd! I have never seen one of those before!Beauitful though! I think I like the richer color of the regular chestnut better!

So let me get this all together.

Corbins Foot X RCM's Wendy cross- frosties are a huge possibilty
Wendy x agouti- less chance but more wierd colors I cant work with
Wendy x Noa- REW's , chance of frosties and ?
Wendy x a Black buck =?

What would you do?

Rose is tempting but I just dont have space, Olive took up the only available doe cage and I have one empty buck hole for my br. buck from Dini. I have to sell 3 bunnies before breeding or buying more, I measured Everything and I cannot fit any more cages here, I also gave my word to Mandy that if she still had her Br. Doe from Cuyahoga at medina I would take her, I would feel bad. It also means I need to give my solid tort doe (NOT olive)to Briarwood unless someone wants her, she is nice but not nice enough for me, I like alot of my other does better.
Sale list for medina:

Blue Pines Noa: 50$ Solid Sr. Buck Sable pt. Throws AWESOME babies! Good head and ear, tad long and narrow in the body, overall feels like a rough holland, havent had him out in a while but when he's in coat he has a nice coat!

RCM's ?: Solid Tort Jr. Doe, Beauitful girl, needs someone to grow her out. I havent felt her so I cant give an accurate description on her!35 w/0 ped. 50 with pedigree. Good show, brood, or pet! Grand Sire is THF Sayanor's Jack Rabbit and has some of their best rabbits in the lines!

RCM's King Mocha. 85$ Br. Tort. 7legs, I want to keep him but foot has the better body, the only complaints on him are rough HQ and one problem ear but the judges never notice it. He always brings it down.

Megan, the fuzzy holland is gone. She posted her on her website. She is sold.

Why do you have to kill them? You don't take very long to try and rehome the poor things.

And before you ask NO. I DON'T have room. LOL

Try posting your sale buns on hoobly. It works well. <3
