so i lost my only agouti buck this weekend...Corbin's Fritz. not sure why he was fine in the morning even ore plaful then normal and by nite he was dead. RIP Buddy Im starting to think the agouti's just dn't wanna be around for me. first sarge, now fritz....ugggganyways Im keeping My eyes open for a nice agouti buck. I know I can use my torts with them, but most of my agoutis are orange and that won't give me chestnuts, chins, opals LOL so Im jut putting it out there. culd pick up at convntion. needs to have a BIG head short ear, and nice bone with short legs. yes im picky I know LOL i don't mind dealing with a softer coat but it needs to be nice and dense. I prefer nothing over 3 sincei've had some bad luck with the older guys. |

FRITZ! Oh no! Thats so upsetting! So sorry to hear that! Rest in peace buddy! Chestnut, Chinchilla, Oranges and Chins but you want to stay away from oranges unless they have chins in their pedigree? Whats the best to breed with the frosty now? I have her dad, the orange but he obiviousally will throw more frosties She is getting such a nice coat and head in! I'll keep my eyes out! |

chestnut or opal would still be your best cross...black or blue would also be good. I still have blue streak the Blue otter who will throw agouti as well, you could use him.... Im hoping to find another agouti buck. I have one, an opal, from my lines that a friend In FL asked me if i would be interested in few weeks ago, but Im hesitant only because again he is older prob close to 5 and I haven't had much luck with the older guys he's very Nice and perfect for me except for the age thing and he isn't cheap... I only had fritz for 3 mo and sarge for 4 or so. just not wanting to spend big bucks on something that may kick the bucket who knows when....

I'd zip an e-mail to Laura. Shes been thinking about selling out of her Chestnuts, Lynxes, oranges, and fawns. Maybe she'd sell you a nice agouti. :) She never asks for too much for them either. |

k I might just do that. I was hoping leslie hobbs would have something to send to convention, but her chestnut buck died too a few mo back and she has been selling Most of th babies. the most she has a some oranges. oranges would be ok, but would prefer chestnut type is most important tho... |

Check with Will down in AL. I think he has Corbin's Angelina. Maybe he has kits from her? Susie had some Hobb's Agouti lines. Sandi Meadows? She has lots of Agouti outta pudge. I don't know what Laura is doing. I'm terribly worried she has a major herd sell out coming up if she doesn't get better. The older rabbits might come live with me, because they need extra care. (Boomer, Bruce, Ritzi, Maverick) Its insane. LOL. And my cages are all filled up!! I have no room for babies. So, I'll have to sell some favorites to make room.

hmmmm crazy i hate to hear of ppl selling out...maybe if she just trys cuttin down a bit. I prob talk to will atlast every other day...he doesn't have anything suzie has some torts on her sale page...very pretty but I have a barn full of torts LOL sandi is the lady with the opal i mentioned. he goes back to my stuff and is BEAUTIFUL, but Im just not sure i want to spend $125 on a 5 year Old rabbit. esp. one that has lived in the nice warm FL sun and Not seen a winter in a while. Fritz was 4 and I only had him 3 mo. sarge has just turned 6 when he died and I had him for maybe 5 mo. I woud Like to stick with a younger (3 or under) michelle Uptgraph (spelling) said something about having some chestnuts and an opal so im hoping she gets some pics andinfo for me. Keeping My eyes open...i actually wouldn't Mind finding a Nice chesntut Fuzzy Holland.... so im keeping my eyes on the HL pages too LOL Edited by garfuzlps, Oct 5 2010, 11:32 AM.

I'm so sorry about Fritz I'll keep my eyes opened on an agouti buck for you. I'm always sort of looking too since I love the agoutis. I'm hoping my lone chestnut doe will help me get one before she can't produce anymore!

Katie, your still breeding fuzzies? Tab, Suzie only has half of her for sale rabbits up. I'd e-mail her. She has a SUPER cute Fuzzy Holland chestnut buck that was kicking butt. I think she was cutting back? Ask her about babies. I'd get myself some agouti if I had the room. I can't have them near the pearls though. I'm half tempted to hit agouti instead of pearl. But I'm sure once I get a broken pearl that will change.
