so jacob, I have to ask... you have mentioned a few times how your bucks are just so-so... but you seem to sell all your best bucks? mavrick, boomer...?? Just curious... why you sold them. i normally don't sell my bucks unless I have something better outta them to replace them with. just a thought...

I kept some does out of Boomer, we never got any good bucks from him, just does.
I think in most the litters from him, we mostly got all does. It was weird.

I have a couple of bucks I am keeping from Mavrick, Copper (from Jewel), and
Prospector (orange), and I have Cooper (blue from Skylar), maybe some more I am not
thinking of right now.

Boomer and Maverick were getting pretty old, we sold them to Laura. I think Laura was
going to use Maverick with the Lynx color she is working on.

We are just trying to make cage space, so we are looking through the rabbits and going to sell the so-so bucks, and keep the good ones.

Does this make sense? Is this what everyone else does?

I will remember your advise Tabatha, to make sure to keep bucks until I get a good replacement. I think Laura was going to use Boomer in her chinchilla breedings.
It seems I get more good does in litters than bucks.
How about everyone else? You get more good does than bucks in your litters?
Do you have some bucks that only produce does in litters?

I have an easier time getting bucks than does. I generally get an even amount of bucks and does in a litter.

Im trying to remember back B4 i sold everything. I know I kept more does outta my litters then bucks, but i think the quality between the sexes was pretty even. like I said Im just super picky on the bucks i keep. I don't need alot of bucks. I would generaly keep the best buck outta several litters then sell the rest.

I normally kept 2 from a litter either 2 does or a 2 does and a buck or even just one.

Jacob, how is zane doing? King still reminds me of him so much! Got his personality!
