I talked with a DEXTER breeder in PA, and I will be getting my steer in a couple of weeks for
my 4-H fair project for next year. He is black and is suppose to be friendly.
Dexters are a smaller breed of cattle , the smallest breed before you would go to
miniture cattle. This will be my first time doing the project. My brother and sisters
did the projects before with a dexter steer. :weee:

Yes, he is for meat. Jill got $3/pound last year for her steer! Helped with college costs. I don't think I should do rabbit project, because the 4-H judge is Tom Sabrey, and he is a friend of mine, and I am in his club, and talk to him at all the shows. People would talk if he put me first. So, I just don't do 4-H rabbits.

We have been talked about whenever we win something, its just because people are jealous and need to get over themselves. Its just 4-H and we are there to have fun.

If you win its because you deserve it and not because you are a friend of the judge. I am always friends with most judges but that doesnt mean anything.

I usually win showmanship, or at lest place second. Its tough competition here in Knox county. Last year someone spray painted a rabbit, shaved another's head, and one of the horses got its eyelid slit. I got first over a competitive young man -Andy Reiman. You may know him because he shows in ARBA shows. He and his parents won BOB at national netherland dwarf show of some sort. I went over to shake hands with him because it was really tough beating him, and he literally looked at my hand, glared at me, turned his back on me, and totally ignored me the rest of fair. I wanted to punch him in the face. But I refrained.

Hahahahaha!!! Yeah...I think lots of nasty stuff in my head, but I would never say it aloud. Or physically hurt some one. I just can't do it. It makes me feel really really bad. But he was rather obnoxious. You guys ever met him?
