Brotherhood of Steel The Brotherhood of Steel is a long running group dedicated to the preservation of technological advancements and the investigation of Supermutant activity. The Brotherhood has provided numerous services to the wastelanders of Las Vegas, including repairing and maintaining the Hoover Dam. The Brotherhood acts something as a peacekeeping force in the Las Vegas Wastes and protects civilians from everything ranging from mutated rad-scorpions to slavers. The Brotherhood welcomes any volunteers, provided they can prove their willingness to help the Brotherhood's cause. Jonas Addison: Leader of the Brotherhood of Steel ![]() Jonas leads the Las Vegas branch of the Brotherhood of Steel. Jonas is something of a humanitarian and is willing to put saving civilian lives over the protection of technology. He believes that people should be given second chances so that they may learn from their previous mistakes and become better people. Jonas does not endorse the use of violence, though he is not foolish enough to ignore any danger to himself or other members of the brotherhood. The Enclave Remnant The Enclave is a shadowy, militaristic organization, directly descended from the pre-War United States government and military industrial complex, that claims to still have authority over the ravaged country. It is composed mostly of the descendants of government officials and military officers with ties to powerful corporations who retreated to a Poseidon Energy oil rig when the Great War started. They generally consider most people born outside the Enclave to be mutants fit only for eradication. While the enclave does not have as much power as it used to after the “death” of President Eden, it still retains a good deal of power with it's remaining soldiers and officers who stay loyal to their cause. While the Enclave may have fewer soldiers than the Brotherhood of Steel, their technology is more advanced with access to a number of vehicles and more powerful weaponry. Victor Kyros: Leader of the Enclave Remnant ![]() Victor leads the Enclave Remnant in the Las Vegas Wasteland. As something of a foil to Jonas, Victor is a very strict and demanding leader, expecting the most from his soldiers. He does not take failure or cowardice lightly and would severely punish those that don't meet up to his expectations. He is widely known throughput the Enclave for his extreme leadership, often killing anyone who disobeys him or tries his patience. Wastelanders Wastelanders are the people of the wastes that struggle to survive the hazards of living in the wastes of the Post-war world. Many wastelanders find shelter in one of the many settlements scattered among the Las Vegas deserts. The people work hard in even harder conditions, with jobs ranging from doctors to mechanics. It is also common to see traders, earning a living by traveling between friendly settlements, selling their goods at rather high prices. DJ Professor K: Local Radio DJ ![]() DJ Professor K (or Prof K), is a local DJ that has taken residence inside the Universal News Radio station in the Las Vegas wasteland. While the man is blind he has a keen sense of music and is a good judge of character. He employs an assistant that goes by the name Mutt. Raiders/Slavers Raiders are any group of people who pillage, plunder, murder, or otherwise ruin the day of anyone unfortunate enough to not be one of them. If there were still laws, they'd be outlaws. Raiders tend to organize into loose confederations of gangs in the post-apocalyptic wasteland and are a constant problem, because it's much easier for them to just shoot people for their money, food, and other valuables than to earn an honest living. Raiders typically prey upon travelers and very small towns, leaving more populous areas alone, where they are outnumbered and have no element of surprise. Slavery is a lucrative business in the post-Great War world. Although slavery is uncommon in many of the larger pockets of civilization, the practice persists throughout the wasteland. Slavers often buy slaves off of raiders that may have decided to keep survivors for an added profit. |
