I don't even know.

The building creaked and swayed just as Leonidas explained the situation, the outer most edges of the mansion slowly melting away as chocolate continued to pour into the abomination, not only regeneration, but slowly growing, it's swings growing longer, taking further definition as blades formed through the tendrils. "W-Wah!" Yet, Jaxus flight at ended at the most inopportune moment, tucking his coat to the side and shifting his body weight to not land on Persies, Jaxus hit the floor tumbling before he had a chance to reply to Leonidas. Even as all hell broke loose, the children eating the witches candy seemed oblivious to the danger, mindlessly eating away at the sweets provided by the witch. The lack of any reaction of them could easily lead to the suspicion that the candy she provided controlled them, or at least was having a major influence. "Uaah, alright..." Pulling himself upwards from his knees, Jaxus' jerked to the side in a controlled roll as another tendril lashed out at him, tearing a gash in the chocolate floor below with a crack. "Makes sense.~ Alright, gimme' just a moment!" Dodging under another bladed appendage of the chocolate horror, Jaxus whipped his right hand outwards to the side, orbs of ethereal, golden light began to appear around his forearm. Without a word, Persies would leap out of Jaxus' coat pocket, suddenly flaring up with more flames, rapidly expanded and growing to stand at a height twice that of Jaxus! Swiping away the tentacles that risked cleaving into Jaxus' flesh with her feather protected wings, Persies only needed to buy Jaxus and Leo this single moment. "Ca-Caaaaaw!" "Alright, Leo!" Suddenly shifting on his heels as he positioned himself closer to Leo, now in proper alignment to not put the children at risk, he leaped forward as Persies rose her head, lowering her back, landing upon her with light, yet fast steps, running straight upwards along her as a sprint board! "Now!" Mentally thanking Persies as he took the leap, Jaxus raised both hands high, clasped together and fingers interlocked as the various golden orbs of light frantically began to multiply and spiral. In a literal flash, Jaxus let out a battle cry as a giant, three meter sword of golden, shining, solid light, shining with radiance. Having struck with such speed, and in such a surprising manner, the chocolate had no time to react as Jaxus came crashing down upon it, swinging with all his might. For a brief moment, the monster began to rapidly layer shell after shell of chocolate around it, yet it was not enough! CRAAACK! With a ripping, crushing sound, Jaxus' blade cleaved through layer after layer of chocolate armor, embedding itself deep within the beast! "Boom.~" With that, as the blade came to a complete halt, it shined with a flash of brilliance. In a moment, the blade exploded violently into a thin cone of heated, concentrated light! "NOOO, COOKIE!" The previously solid chocolate, formerly consisting of most of the monsters body, fractured everywhere as shrapnel, melting into a burned, unusable form, scattering a huge mass of the creature everywhere as it screamed with a gurgling howl of pain with it's now two remaining heads. "You call this monster "Cookie!?" Seriously?!" Out of all the questions that could have been asked, somehow this was the only real one he had. After the beast lost yet another two heads, the beast seemed stunned as Jaxus landed in front of it crouched, taking afew light, leaps back to avoid a counter strike. Yet the being howled louder and louder as it healed, prompting Jaxus to take his boomarang from his sheath. It was up to Leo now, Jaxus and Persies just had to cover them as best they could. |

Even an amateur could judge that the mansion was steadily degrading in stability. Fractures in the floor and ceiling were evident, along with a large amount of the structure simply being absorbed into the construct that was seamlessly growing in size and destructive capabilities. For the sake of the children on the other side of the massive tendril whipping beast, not to mention the trio, or at least duo, of liberators, it would be best to end the fight sooner rather then later. The blonde imagined Jaxus had come up with a similar conclusion, for it was not long before he came through with his end of the plan, implanting a large blade formed of light into the summon. Soon, the weapon combusted, leaving residue of sweets in its wake. Not hesitating for a moment did the crimson-eyed man rush forward, utilizing the gaping hole in the construct to advance to the other side. He smirked as the woman yelled in anguish for her beast, for it told him one thing, her heart held emotion. And with such a thing came the ability to fear. Yes, he was more than experienced with sowing seeds in that department. Drawing Calamitas did he walk towards the woman, who in her panic had turned away from her opponents. Slowly did he slide the marked blade in front of her throat, touching the metal to her skin for good measure. "Now be a good witch and unsummon that abomination, and while you're at it release those little ones over there from whatever spell they're under. I'd rather not spend time beheading such a frail woman as yourself tonight, especially with children and newly met acquaintances watching," he spoke calmly, moving the blade upwards to force her to rise from her crouched position and move away from the source of her techniques. "You brat! You wouldn't dare harm me!" A cruel laugh echoed in the blonde's throat as the self control he had exhibited previously started to dwindle. The knights before, even the two morphing blobs and the tentacle wielding beast, they weren't truly alive, and although the latter could feel pain, it was nothing but a slew of commands brought forth by its master. The woman was different though. She was alive, and although perhaps corrupted, living nonetheless. Alive, and ignorant. The further he thought about it, the more the words, and the potential actions, formed in his conscience. "And why is that so? It would only take a single stroke of this blade to bring your insolent existence to a close, and a near instant ending at that. Or would you prefer the agony of being torn limb by limb only to be left to rot in whatever grasp of reality you possess? I'm sure that would break your concentration quite nicely. So go on, make your decision, and be quick about it. I'm not known to be patient when there is such an easy solution. Aside, you're a kidnapper and have probably committed paedocide, so I would think dismemberment on that basis is a viable coverup, no?" It was amusing how people's opinions could change with a simple rewording and change of tone. Of course, he supposed the added pressure to Calamitas that resulted in bright red liquid beginning to flow gently from the witch's throat helped, but it was not long before a hard swallow accompanied the slumping over of 'Cookie', the prevention of further erosion of the mansion, and a pause in the children's eating patterns came to be. "Knock this woman out for me, please? She's a bit hard to convince, so unfortunately the moment I remove this blade she'll probably counterattack," Leonidas called out soon after to Jaxus and Persies, ignoring the witch's presence in all of its anxious entirety. His casual composure had been momentarily regained by the woman's submission, although there would be no hesitation were she to try anything. |

As Leonidas rushed forward to deal with the witch, the monster shrieked out, the glow from Jaxus eyes and the fiery flames which wreathed Persies flickered away, reducing her to their previous size as they took off from the ground towards Jaxus. Flicking his right hand out, boomarang in hand, Jaxus stepped forward, torquing his body with a flick of the wrist, sending the boomarang flying towards the beast! With a sudden burst, the boomarang expanded in size, crashing into one of the shrieking chocolate heads mouths, splattering even further more chocolate across the room. As Jaxus attempted to follow through, he realized the beast merely shrieked as the flow of chocolate slowed by a noticable amount. Oddly enough, "Cookie" seemed to be unstable and distracted, not even attempting to strike out at Leo. "Huh..." As Persies landed on his shoulder, Jaxus looked across the room as best he could around the mauled "Cookie." Only then did Jaxus understand why the monster seemed out of it, with the blade at her throat, the fear of death was a major distraction on her focus. It was at this point Jaxus took note of Leo "convincing" the witch to put an end to this sweet fueled madness. Remaining silent, Jaxus took a deep breath and cringed for a moment, closing his eyes before staring back with his mouth shifted to the side in a puckered form, eyes observant and ears open. Of course, the idea of the witch getting mutilated brought a sense of great discomfort to Jaxus mind, even if they did do terrible things. However, as "Cookie" slumped over, and the witch forfeited to the group, Jaxus merely looked over to the slowly spreading pool of chocolate, his boomarang embedded in the mess, Jaxus only nodded, clutching his boomarang with his left hand and ripping it out from what remained of the beast before stepping over to Leo as they called out for him. "Oi, oi, gotcha' Leo.~ Good thinkin' by the way.~" Shrinking his boomarang back down to size, Jaxus looked to the witch, raising up his fist and taking a deep breath as like before with the chocolate knights, orbs of light began to appear round Jaxus fist. "Ca-Caaw-Caaw...Caw." //Jaxuuus....No.// With a minor frown, and abit of a whimper, Jaxus sighed briefly, the orbs of light around his fist fading away into nothingness. "Fine, fine..." After all the trouble the witch caused, Jaxus "reaallly" wanted to lay just one good punch in. "Alright, so Ms. Witch, I'mma' do this on three, alright?~" "Wait, I-!" "Three!" THWACK! Swiping with a clock wise direction, Jaxus brought up his left hand and smacked the witch on top of the head at the front of the skull, and just like that, she fell like a sack of potatos, luckily away from Leonidas' blade, hitting the ground with a thud. ".....Ca-Caaw-Caw?" //Jaxus, seriously?// "...What?" Persies only brought a wing over her head, shaking it the entire time. "Anyway, thanks for the help Leo.~ Don't think I woulda' made it in time without'cha.~" Offering a sincere, warm smile, Jaxus reached out his hand for a handshake with a chuckle. "I owe ya' one.~" "H-Huh..." "Hansel, where are we...?" "My stomach hurts..." "I-Is that a bird...?" Regardless of Leo's reaction, it wasn't long for the children to come to their senses, the witches magic dispelled entirely, finally coming out of their sweet induced daze and talking among themselves. "Oh, right, fergot.~" Casually chuckling, as Persies let out a long, drawn out sigh. Turning over to the children at the table, Jaxus waved and stepped forward. "Oiii! I'm from Blue Pegasus Guild, we're here ta' rescue ya'.~ Name's Jaxus, and these are my friends Persies and Leonidas.~" What happened ta' ya' guys, yer' mothers been worried sick.~" "Well, we came here after hearing mages from Blue Pegasus sometimes used their magic here, we wanted to meet one, but..." "Hansel got us lost." "No I didn't!" Hansel first spoke up for the group, but was interrupted by Gresel. "Oi, oi, come on, that doesn't matter now. So, what happened next?" Attempting to settle the situation, both of them huffed before Gresel continued where Hansel left off. "We all started getting hungry after that, and couldn't find anything to eat, but when Hantel said he smelled something, we followed him here." As Gresel finished, Hantel himself spoke up, interrupting Gresel similar to the way she did Hansel. "When we knocked on the door, this old woman came to the door, and said she'd find our parents to take us home..." Then Gretel spoke up, following the pattern of before. "When we were waiting, she gave us alot of cookies and chocolate, and...I can't remember anything after that..." As suspected, it was the candy they were eating that the witch used as a catalyst to control them. "Well, that old woman was a witch, but ya' don't really need ta' worry bout' her anymore.~" Pointing to the unconscious, slumped over old woman, twitching slightly, Jaxus brought a hand up and waved towards the children to follow the group. "I know the way outta' this forest, we'll have ya' guys back home in less then an hour. Come'on.~ I'll even show you some magic tricks along the way.~" "What, really?!" "What kind of magic is it!?" "Can you make fireballs?!" "Oh, oh, oh, can you fly?!" "You'll see, you'll see.~ When we get outside the house, I'll first show you what a Blue Pegasus mage does to the houses "bad" witches like the one over there." As the children rushed from their chairs to follow the group, excited for the chance to see a mage's abilities in action, Jaxus pointed towards the witch, then turned around to Leonidas with a friendly smile. "So ey, after this is all wrapped up, you want to have afew drinks ta' celebrate? I'll put it on the house of course." Crouching done and picking up the witch, with a deep breath, Jaxus slumped her on his free shoulder, directing himself to the exit. "Come'on ya' bag'a'bones, I'm sure the knights will have alooot of questions fer'ya.~" Another adventure, another friend made, and another chance he got to make a difference and help people. Overall, it was a really good night.~ Edited by SilverRush, Jun 11 2017, 11:55 PM.

The blonde wondered for a moment what Jaxus had heard, but thought better then to bring it up. Leonidas doubted he would understand, or be pleased with, the truth behind his words. It would be better for both of them to keep silent on that matter, in the interest of opposing viewpoints. So, the crimson-eyed man watched silently as him and Persies bickered over one thing or another before Jaxus delivered the blow that sent the witch out of the waking world. As she slumped to the floor, Leonidas flicked the blood off his blade before returning Calamitas to it's sheath, hopefully for the last time that night. A somewhat enthusiastic grin lit up the blonde's face as he took the handshake. "Nonsense. You were there blasting out light like there was no tomorrow," he replied playfully before turning to see the four children cast out of their daze. They were a bit too talkative for his mind to appreciate at that moment, but it was an interesting note to take that Jaxus was from Blue Pegasus. Of course, it was the guild nearest to Lavender Forest, but in all honesty Leonidas couldn't really see him fitting into such an organization. Maybe things had changed since the last time he had checked, or maybe the light mage was much like himself and not too affiliated with his guild. Whatever the case, he didn't mention it. There would always be time later. The four little ones' story went much the way Leonidas had expected it to go, although he hadn't really put much previous thought into it. Indeed, it seemed they had been lured into the witch's abode by her abundance of food and treats. Yet another reason to hate such things, he supposed. At the very least, the innocence of the children amused them, for it seemed that they had not learned to be wary around strangers, or stranger's houses for that matter. It was with relief that the group started to head towards the exit, for the blonde was far more than sick of the place. There were still numerous injuries littered on his body that added to the spite, along with Jaxus's insistence on taking the witch with them. Of course, that was probably the wisest course of action pertaining a good viewpoint, but Leonidas did not exactly possess one of those, nor was he all too fond of knights. The kingdom had already ruined his life once, after all. It's people had more occasions then that. Still, it was not the time nor the place to reflect his past in his speech. "Sounds good to me," Leonidas remarked agreeably. Soon, they departed the mansion, and it was not long before the naturally dark and eerie forest was the group's only surrounding. Despite it all, that night had proved to be a beautiful distraction from reality. |
