Reggie and Toshiro were leaving for the party shop that the flier had advertised when the woman suddenly stopped them. "Wait! Can I go with you?" She asked urgently, as if she's been meaning to say it the moment they stepped inside the house. Reggie knew there wouldn't be any trouble in such mission, as the father himself told her that the kids are fine. So it wouldn't hurt to let her tag along. Besides, it would be better if she were with them as they unravel the clues that the kids left. "Sure. It wouldn't hurt to have you in our team for today. It's your children we are looking for after all." Reggie said as she smiled at the woman warmly. The three of them were heading to the shop with Reggie walking side by side with Toshiro and the woman. "I know it's not the best of time for me but it's an honor to be in your team, even just for today. I'm still a fan even after you got dethroned, Miss Reggie." The woman said as Reggie blushed. "Oh...thanks. Well, I would've wanted to complete my reign." She replied. "Well, you are still Miss Fiore. A former though. But still a Miss Fiore in the history of the kingdom." The woman reassured her. "Well, thank you if you think so." She told the woman. As they were on their way to the shop, the woman turned to Toshiro. "I'm glad you are still together even after what happened during the Triwizard Tournament." She told him, smiling. "It must be love." She added which made Reggie blushed even more. "Yes, it is." She admitted as she looked ahead of them and realized that they were almost there. They stopped in front of a fancy looking shop decorated with balloons and party poppers that exploded confetti every now and then. Reggie pushed the door open and entered the shop. A bell rang, indicating their presence. "Good day! Is there anything I can do for you?" A lady with an orange hair greeted them from the counter. "Hello, we are here to ask you something." Reggie replied. "Oh Miss Reggie, Mister Toshiro! What an honor!" She said as she realized who just walked inside her shop. "What do you want to ask from me?" She leaned towards them from her counter. "Well, you see we are looking for children who might have bought something in this shop. We were wondering if you remember them." Reggie asked. "Hmmm, well there's a group of four children. Two boys and two girls. The older one is a red-haired girl while the youngest was the blonde girl. The two boys with cherry blossom and dark hair seemed to be twins. And they're constantly fighting." The couple is just about to leave when the wife called out to them, wanting to join them in search of her children. Thinking about it, the smoke mage doesn’t mind as this request isn’t as dangerous as it sounds. The husband’s words state that the children are safe and not in any danger, the same goes with the clues laid out in the kitchen. Besides, the smoke mage has been through escort missions before so he is used to this plus Reggie should be as well. Turning towards the wife, the smoke mage would allow her to accompany them seeing there really isn’t any harm to it. In fact, she might be able to help identify the children. “That should be alright. Seeing that you know them well, you might be able to figure out things that we can’t. Besides if anything happens, we are here to do our best. We have done this before.” The smoke mage said accepting the wife’s request to join them while also making sure she would be safe. He would light up a cigarette stick as they exit the house, something that the smoke mage would usually do when entering the open air. With that, the smoke mage turned to the blonde mage as they soon proceed to move towards the direction written in the address in the flier. On their way towards the shop, they start to have a conversation between each other as the wife seemed to be a fan of the two of them. She seemed to be following the public events that the two were in, especially the Triwizard Tournament. She seemed to know about it and how she mentioned it might be true love that they are still together. “The two of us has been through a lot already, so something like that shouldn’t be a problem for us. It would take a lot more before anything can come between us.” The smoke mage said as he turned towards the blonde mage smiling before returning his gaze back on the route they are going through. It didn’t take that long until they reached their destination, it was a party shop. The smoke mage would puff smoke from his mouth as they enter the store. Toshiro’s smoke of course doesn’t have any toxic smell on it and the smoke is transparent so it shouldn’t be a problem there. Upon entering the store, they were greeted by the orange haired lady behind the counter. The blonde mage proceed to converse with the lady while trying to get any information out of her regarding the children. All the while, Toshiro is looking around the store trying to see if he could find anything unusual. |

Reggie was glad the woman identified her kids right away. But she noticed that it was too obvious. Well, the kids really went to buy some stuffs in here. "So can you remember what stuffs they bought in your shop?" She asked the lady who operated the shop. "Hmmm...The usual. Balloons. A couple of party poppers." She answered her diligently. "But where would they use such thing? There are no upcoming birthdays in my family. And if it's one of them, they would probably left the one who's having a birthday out of it." The woman said. "You're right." Reggie said. Though inside her head, she was thinking that this woman was missing something. Or perhaps forgot about something. While they were interrogating the lady, Reggie noticed Toshiro looking around the shop. As Toshiro would looked through the shelves, he would notice a long piece of red ribbon. It belonged to one of the girls among the missing children. The one who liked to tie a bunch of hair to the side of her head. "Do you have any other queries?" The lady asked them. "I think that's all." Reggie replied when she suddenly wondered if she knew where the kids went after they bought the party stuffs. "Oh...One more thing. Do you happen to know where they went after they bought the stuffs they need?" Reggie asked her. "Hmmm...I heard the blonde one saying she saw a garden in the northern part of the town. I guess they're picking flowers." The lady answered. "Well, thanks a lot. We'll be heading to that garden now." Reggie told the lady. They were almost at the door when the lady stopped them. "Wait!" Reggie stopped as she turned to her. "I think you should not head to that garden. I didn't realize until now what garden they were talking about. But I think that garden was owned by a very grumpy old lady. She lives by herself along with her cats." She said concerned. "Well, thanks for telling us." Reggie said as she turned to leave. As they were leaving the shop, Reggie noticed that Toshiro seemed to found something. "Are you alright? Toshiro?" She asked him. Edited by Enchantress, May 29 2017, 04:31 AM.

The smoke mage proceed to move through the shop, looking around, while the blonde mage and the client proceed to interrogate the lady operating the shop. The shop is pretty much normal, it sells mostly party oriented merchandise and some pre ordered food. He would let the two ladies handle the rest as this case doesn’t seemed to be dangerous or puts the kids in danger. In fact, there is a logical reason for disappearance. The husband knew where they are and is keeping it from the wife for probably a special reason. So the smoke mage does try to look for clues like it would be discovered there… that is until he found something. While browsing through the shelves containing some balloon stocks, one thing that brought to the smoke mage’s eyes. He noticed something on the ground, something red and long. He bends down and picked it up, upon inspecting it seemed to be a red ribbon. Looking at the other ribbon being sold in the store, it doesn’t really match. It looked like a ribbon used for tying hair as an accessory. Well it might be nothing after all, might just be from the lady operating the shop or some other customers. By this time, the blonde mage approached the smoke mage wondering if he is alright. “Well I found this ribbon over here. Not too sure if it’s a clue or somebody just dropped it. It isn’t part of the shop’s merchandise.” The smoke mage said to the blonde mage as he would show the ribbon to her. Well Toshiro is a guy so he couldn’t really tell but Reggie might have an idea about the ribbon. |

After interrogating the lady who ran the shop, Reggie decided to go to the garden where the said children went. But the lady warned them about the strict and grumpy owner of the garden. Seeing that they don't really have a choice, they must leave and go see the garden. As they were about to go, Toshiro told Reggie about a ribbon he found inside the shop and showed it to her. The mother of the kids, who was looking over Reggie's shoulder immediately recognized the ribbon. "It belongs to Anna, my youngest child. The one with the blonde hair." She said as she went towards Toshiro and quickly took the ribbon. "So they did went in here." Reggie said as they went out of the shop. "At least now we knew she wasn't lying." She added, feeling relieve that they got one evidence that the children did buy some stuffs in the party shop. "Well, we must go to the garden now. In the northern part of the city." Reggie said as she lead Toshiro and the woman away from the shop and into the direction of the Lavender Forest. "The lady mentioned that the old woman who owns the garden is strict and grumpy. I hope she would be willing to answer our queries. Let's hope she's a lawful person." She said as they passed by several shops through the center part of the city. "I think I have seen the garden already." Reggie said as they were walking. It seemed that she had passed by that garden several times on her way to the guild. It was a beautiful garden, though only second to the one that the guild have. But still, a lot of people would stop by and adore the flowers within the iron fence of the garden. The garden was in front of a small cottage that looked like it was drawn out of a fairy tale book. "It's not that far from here." Reggie said as they finally exit from the shopping district of the city and entered the residence area of the north. After a couple of blocks, they finally reached the said place. It was summer and the flowers were blooming beautifully through the wide space in front of the house. There were roses, tulips, daisies and some rare sorts. It was quite festive to the eyes, the way their colors collide with each other. "I think this is the place." She said as she looked inside and saw a woman who was tending to some plants near the gate. "Oh naughty children. I gave them permission to pick some flowers. But what did they do? They literally picked it, hurting the poor daisies. They could've borrowed a scissor!" The old woman murmured as she cut off the the damaged parts of the plants. Reggie slowly approached the lady. "Excuse me ma'am, can we disturb you for a while?" Reggie politely asked. The woman within the fence shifted towards them, eyeing them sternly though her spectacles. It seemed that the rumors were right after all. |

The smoke mage did manage to find a ribbon in the shop as he proceeds to inform the blonde mage about it. The ribbon the smoke mage found was indeed from the children as the wife came towards him and mentioned it. It was the youngest daughter’s according to her. She recognized it really well. Well with this information, they at least knew that they are on the right track and the children really did come to the shop. Now they are headed to the garden according to the shop keeper, though they have been warned about the attitude of the gardener being a strict and grumpy owner. With that knowledge, the three proceed to leave the shop and head towards the direction of the garden. From the look of it, the blonde mage knew the way as she may have seen or been to the garden before. She mentioned where they will be going and the problem they might encounter on their way there, being the owner of the garden. “Well I am sure that they would be cooperative once they knew why we are there. It shouldn’t be a problem once we explain everything to her.” The smoke mage said to the blonde mage responding to her concerns. They would soon reach the garden as they head towards it. It is a rather beautiful garden with various kinds of flowers there. One would think that it was a tourist attraction as it is simply made by the old lady tending to it. As they approached the garden, they could see the old lady the shopkeeper was talking about. She is tending to her garden though she seemed to be mumbling something as they approached they could clearly hear what she was saying. From the sounds of it, she may have encountered the children there who were picking up flowers though they didn’t use the proper method. |

Toshiro was positive that the old woman would be cooperative with them once she knew what they were up to. "I really don't mind talking to an old grumpy woman." Reggie said, though she felt that there was a doubt in her voice. The three of them head towards the north of Poinsettia. They were on their way to the garden when Reggie remembered seeing the garden several times, given that it was near the guild. They came to the garden with the old woman murmuring while fixing the plants in her garden. Reggie approached her politely. But as the old woman scrutinized them through her meticulous eyes, the blonde wizard felt intimidated. "I don't have all day. So please state your business right away." The old woman said as she crossed her arms. Reggie straightened up and cleared her throat before speaking. "I'm Reggie Mckenzie. I'm with Toshiro, we are both wizards. This woman here is Mrs. Potts. We are currently looking for children. A group of four. Two boys and two girls." But before Reggie could state their business, the old woman finished it for her. "And you're here to see if they happened to be here. Yes. They were here. But they ruined some of my plants!" The old woman yelled her anger. Reggie didn't know what to say at first. But she felt like apologizing for the kids. "I'm sorry if my kids ruined your garden." The mother said before Reggie had opened her mouth. She immediately tried to explain themselves. "Those children who were here yesterday went missing. We are looking for them. Mrs. Potts is really worried, you know." Reggie said in the nicest and kindest voice she could muster. The old woman loosened her arms. The blonde wizard felt victorious inside as the lines on the old woman's forehead disappeared. What it seemed to be anger that anyone could read in her face somehow turned into worried. But she remained stern. "Would you like to have some tea?" She said as she opened the entrance of the iron fence that surrounds her garden. Reggie smiled. "Well, yes." They followed the woman into the house, but she didn't lead them outside. Instead, she lead them to a table in front of the house. Reggie took a seat beside Toshiro while their client sat in front of her. The old woman went inside and came back quickly bringing a tray of fine china set with the kettle filled with hot tea. She served the tea to them in silence. After pouring the last cup for herself, she broke the silence. "The girls called me from the gate yesterday, asking for a few flowers in which they will use. After I gave them my permission, I didn't know they have brothers. The two were competing in finding the prettiest flower in the garden. They were picking almost every kind of flower from my garden, that was when I drove them away. And that's the last time I had seen them." She said in a stern voice. "Did you know where they went next?" Reggie asked. "No." The old woman answered immediately. "But I heard some of their plans." She added quickly. |

The couple discuss a bit about the next area they will be going to gather the next clue. They will be going to a garden where a supposed grumpy old woman should be tending to it. Reggie was worried about trying to talk to the grumpy old lady but Toshiro did try to console her that by informing her about the reason they are there, everything should be alright. The blonde mage didn’t mind doing so after hearing the smoke mage’s words. Besides, she is a former Miss Fiore and she should be used to delegating diplomacy and negotiation talks seeing she usually handles promotions and other conversation related events. The three soon arrived at the garden where the grumpy old lady is currently tending the gardens. Just as the rumors say, she is a bit grumpy at them as she informed everyone their intentions there as she doesn’t have all day. The blonde mage stepped forward as she began introducing herself and their reasons being there. She informed her of the client’s kids missing and the reason that they are there is to find where they are right now. The old lady listened to the blonde mage’s explanation as she gave out a few statements regarding the kids. Still the wife soon explained what happened and the old lady soon stopped everything she was doing, and then she invited everyone for tea? “That would be well appreciated ma’am.” The smoke mage said responding to the old lady. The old lady brought them to a spot nearby in front of her house. The smoke mage followed from behind as the tables are set up just outside under the sun. Still the table is under a large umbrella, giving shade to the ones sitting on the table. Toshiro simply went under the large umbrella’s shade from the sun as the old lady brought out the tea set she has, where she poured tea for everyone. She then continued as she explain what happened earlier when she spot the children. They were picking up flowers when she left them be but soon enough the boys would start to get rowdy and damaged some of the flowers. After that, they left. The blond mage soon questioned the old lady if she knew where they went. She doesn’t, but, she does know about some of their plans. |

"Oh please do tell us about their plan." Reggie begged as the old woman was starting to cooperate. "But I can't." Or maybe not. "But why not?" Reggie asked as she suddenly felt disappointed about the woman giving her false hope. "Well, I can't tell you. But that doesn't mean I can't show you." The woman said which confused Reggie. "What?" She asked her in frustration. "Did you really win Miss Fiore? I don't think anyone as slow as you would won." The lady said as she shook her head as if Reggie had disappointed her. Reggie stared at her speechless as she tried to fix the puzzle inside her mind. But why won't she tell us? Why would she show us instead? Reggie asked herself. She knew the children were up to something that even their dad knew they were in the safe hands. But something that they can't tell their mom. It slowly hit Reggie. The old woman can't tell them because that means she would tell the woman as well. It will ruined what the children prepared. "With that look, I'm sure you get it now." The old woman said. "What did she get it now?" The mother asked, confused as well. Reggie turned to them. It seemed that Toshiro figured it out already. But the woman looked lost and confused as to what they were talking about. The blonde wizard knew the woman would bother her if she admitted that she get it now. So she turned back to the old woman again and plead with her eyes. "I'm sorry. But I don't." She lied. "But we would be glad if you show us." She told the old woman who smiled at her and stood up from her seat. "Okay. Get up now. We're going to the forest." The old woman said as she went to pick up her umbrella. "Come along now. I don't have the whole day." She said as Reggie quickly stood up. They all followed the old woman to the forest. On their way to the forest, Reggie felt the heat of the sun stinging her skin. "It's so hot!" She complained. Summer had started already. They all hurried towards the forest. "What will you be showing us ma'am?" The mother of the missing kids asked. "I'm in no mood to answer any question. Just follow me." The old woman replied. After reaching the front of the forest, the old woman turned to them. "I want you to close your eyes and place a hand on the shoulder of the person in front of you. I want you to walk in a line." The old woman said. Reggie then realized what the old woman was trying to do. "I'll be right behind you." She told the woman as she let her put her hands on Toshiro's shoulder. They walked in line, with Toshiro and Reggie pretending they were walking with their eyes closed. But it was only the woman who had closed her eyes. Soon enough, the old woman lead them to a small clearing in the forest. It was decorated with hand-drawn banners and a few balloons. The wild flowers in the clearing were like part of the decoration. The blonde wizard then felt some movements towards them and saw the kids heading towards them. The eldest kid with the scarlet hair was holding the cake while the youngest one with the blonde hair was holding the basket of petals. The twins who had black and pink hair were carrying the bouquet of flowers and the cake. "You may now open your eyes." The woman opened her eyes and Reggie joined in with the children as they all yelled. "Surprise!!!!!!!!" |

The blonde mage and the old lady tried to discuss what the children are up to and where could they be but it seemed that the old lady is a bit hesitant in revealing the information. It didn’t took that long until the blonde mage realized what is actually going on, that the old lady has her own intention for not revealing the information. The smoke mage would figure it out as well since the clues are all held out there in the open as they investigate the scenes they have been. The baking ingredients, the party supplies and the flowers; all would lead up to one possible answer. The smoke mage remained silent in all of this, simply just smoking his cigarette in the background. The old lady mentioned that she won’t tell them what they were up to but rather show them instead. So with that, the three would follow the old lady whom would lead them towards the forest. The old lady even informed them that they should close their eyes, but in reality she is referring to the wife client they are with. They simply agreed but they didn’t bother closing their eyes as the wife client is the only one closing hers. They move through the forest as the smoke mage followed behind the old lady’s lead. He couldn’t help but notice the surrounding trees though as what caught his attention was the sound rather than the temperature. Sure it’s hot but there are a rather loud noise echoing in the forest, the sounds of cicadas. There seemed to be a lot of them seeing that the sound is really loud. Well the smoke mage tried to not mind it too much as they soon lead to a clearing where there seemed to be set there. The children are there along with some banners, balloons and cake. Soon enough everyone yelled and surprise the wife client with them. |
