It was a bright and sunny day. The flowers had bloomed already and the birds were singing notes she heard the other day. The leaves rustled as the wind shook the trees. A withered leaf fell off from the branch near the window and flew inside the room as the wind blew it. It landed on the floor near the heels of a blonde wizard who was trying out several outfits from her closet. She was smiling as she tried out each dress as she was excited that someone will be seeing her today. Reggie brushed her hair at the back to take a good look at the peach dress she wore. It fitted her well. Sleeveless with the skirt barely reaching her knees. It has a sweetheart neckline and a few floral designs at the bottom of the dress. Reggie smiled as she knew she found the right dress. She looked at the window and saw someone wearing entering the gates wearing a cloak. Reggie smiled widely as she knew her visitor had arrived. She quickly went out of her room and ran down through the stairs, nearly bumping unto the maids and butlers on her way down. "Sorry!" She called as she went on. Reggie finally made it outside where Toshiro was waiting for her. "You're here!" She shrieked in delight as she ran towards him, jumped towards him and hugged him. "I miss you!" She said as she kissed him. As they were having their sweet reunion, a letter suddenly flew in front of them. Reggie caught it in her hands and wondered what was it. But as soon as she realized what was it, she wondered where did it come from. "It's a howler, but who would sent us a howler?" Reggie wondered. For all she knew, howlers were letters that could shout out anger towards the receiver in the voice exactly like the one who sent it. She knew it would be horrible to left it unopen as it would explode. So she gently opened it and a wailing voice echoed throughout the front of Blue Pegasus Guild hall. It was a wailing woman. "Oooooohhhhhh....Help me you two. My children are missing and I don't know where they went!" The howler started as Reggie listened to it with her arms around Toshiro's shoulder. "They went missing and I don't know where to find them. I already reported it to the knights but they found nothing. I sent a request to your guild but I guess this howler will tell you how distress I am." She wailed. But the funny thing was her voice suddenly turned business-like. "For more details, please refer to the request I sent to you in the guild." And the letter ripped itself to pieces as soon as it delivered the news to them. Reggie stared in disbelief as she never thought one of her clients would send her a howler. |

The smoke mage left early that day, heading towards Poinsettia while on the middle of the road. He has been spending some time travelling and basically in the forest near the city. He was given some tasks by the guild to handle some situation in the nearby area. He managed to finished it in time as it wasn't that difficult of a task to begin with. Due to this, he called up the blonde mage to see if she is available as they would do their usual scheduled meet up. This time he is near Poinsettia so he would be the one visiting her, compare to her visiting him. The smoke mage make his way towards the city, wearing his usual attire and cloak, along with the long eared brown furred companion. Hanyuu and Toshiro has been inseparable lately. Due to this, the two manage to form a bond in such a short time. The smoke mage even managed to taught the long eared brown furred creature some signals and signs in case of emergencies that would put good use of Hanyuu's ability. Hanyuu would constantly hang around the smoke mage's shoulder, near the hood for his cloak so he could hide underneath it if it doesn't want to be seen. While walking down the field, the smoke mage would took notice of some of the flowers blooming there. Seeing that it has been some time since he saw Reggie, he wondered about surprising her with it. Taking a bunch of flowers there and making it some sort of bouquet, Toshiro proceed to the city in order to meet up with Reggie. It didn't took that long before the smoke mage arrived at the familiar path towards the familiar structure where Reggie resides. He hasn't even reached the doors when he saw the blonde mage running towards him. The two hugged and kiss as Toshiro did managed to catch the blonde mage in his arms. "I miss you too. Also these flowers are for you." the smoke mage said giving the flowers to Reggie right after their lovely greetings. Their pleasantries didn't last that long until some kind of message would appear in front of them. The smoke mage wondered about it as the blonde mage proceed to check the content of the message. From the sounds of it, it is some kind of assignment that needed their assistance. Children are missing according to the client and they need their help. The smoke mage wondered if the mission was directed to Reggie alone or also himself, though, regardless whom it is directed. The smoke mage wouldn't let the client lose her children. "I guess we know what we are doing this time. We better get to your guild and get those details." the smoke mage said to the blonde mage as he is willing to help with the problem of the client. |

Reggie was really happy upon seeing Toshiro that she dashed out of her room, out of the guild and jumped into Toshiro's hands. It seemed that he was used to catching her already as he flawlessly caught her in his arms as they kissed in their sweet reunion. It may sound tedious, but they do that most often when Toshiro showed up in Blue Pegasus. She was too much excited meeting him that she didn't even noticed him holding flowers on his back. He gave it to her which she happily accepted. "Aww. These are pretty. They will look beautiful in my bedroom." She told him as she kissed him again. After the second kiss, the howler came. Reggie immediately opened it knowing what will happen if she didn't. She was expecting for a shout. But instead, the letter was wailing about her lost children. The woman's voice in the letter already told them that she had sent her request already in the guild. It seemed that she can't wait for the request to come into their hands seeing that she had sent Reggie a howler. "Oh well. So much for our date today. Anyways, I'm sure you'll help me with it. After this, we can proceed our date." Reggie told Toshiro as she assumed already that he will help. The blonde wizard knew him well already. Being with him for such a long time, Toshiro couldn't say no to a request like this. He is a good person. Much nicer than her. "Shall we get to the request?" She asked him with her arms still around his neck, his hands on her waist. At his word, the two went inside the guild hall with Reggie's armed chained to his. The two came inside the guild hall and was greeted by Sebastian, a butler that served the guild for a long time. He was here already when Mistress Mai was still starting out as a wizard. "Good morning Miss Reggie and Mister Toshiro. I'm happy to see you two together. However, I guess your date will be postponed." He told them, smiling but sounded disappointed. "Yeah. We received the client's howler already." Reggie told him as he got surprised by the news. "A howler?" He asked. "Yeah. Anyway, do you have the request already?" She asked him as Sebastian handed her the envelope. "Thanks!" She told him as the butler bowed to them. "It's my pleasure to bring such request." Sebastian said as he excused himself and went back to attend on other concerns in the guild. Reggie immediately opened the letter and let Toshiro read the request with her. "... I woke up today to find my children were missing. My kitchen was a mess and they crayons and papers were gone. My husband didn't think we need help and seemed to be cool about the children went missing. Said they will come right to us by sundown. But I need to find them before sundown. Please help me..." |

The two didn't really have much choice in the matter, especially when children are involved. The sudden appearance of a mission request for the blonde mage is indeed a surprise, though that is the life of a mage within a guild. The smoke mage understand the situation and he would rather assist in such a request rather than ignore it. Toshiro always go on a whim on what he would do, even for picking missions he would do it randomly and see what he would get. This is basically the same thing as well but it happened to Reggie instead of him. "We can always go out on more dates. Besides, this can also be considered as our bonding time together." Toshiro said responding to Reggie as they soon proceed to head back to Blue Pegasus. The smoke mage walked beside the blonde mage as they enter the guild. Most of the people there already knew him, always being with Reggie and all. There the blonde mage approached the guild's butler and proceed to request the detail of the mission she just received. He soon gave her the mission detail and they proceed to read the letter. From the look of things, her children disappeared from her home. Her husband didn't think much of it but she is really worried about it. The letter seemed rather innocent and all, as the client could just be paranoid and worrisome. Still, one couldn't argue about the reasoning of the client since a client is a client. "Well it does sound that something is up and rather suspicious that the husband is calm about the situation. It might be that she is just overreacting but we cannot say for sure." the smoke mage said regarding his initial reaction about the letter. "Still, I suggest we head to the client's house and investigate there. Maybe we might found something that could shed some light in this case." the smoke mage suggested. |

Reggie blushed as Toshiro told her they could go on as many dates as they can, and that this mission could be their bonding time as well. "Aw...You always make things light for me." She said as she kissed him and hugged him before they went inside to get the request. The two went inside where they met Sebastian and gave the mission request to them. He politely left them as they read the entire mission request. The howler was a prologue. It seemed that the kids went missing when she woke up, though her husband seemed to be calm about it. Like Toshiro, Reggie found it weird too. And what made it more odd was that she found the kitchen a mess and all of her kids' drawing supplies were gone. "Sounds like they were out for a drawing picnic." Reggie said after reading the request. Toshiro suggested that they go visit the woman who sent the request. "Yeah. Let's go. I hope she won' howl at us though." She said as she felt a bit awkward for meeting someone who had sent her a howler. The two went out of the guild, with Reggie taking Toshiro's hand as they head outside. The house of the woman who sent the request was located near the commercial zone of the city. Reggie and Toshiro passed by some stores and shops where the blonde usually got distracted by the displays on the window. Good thing Toshiro was with her. Or else it would take her too long to stare at the items before realizing she was on a mission. It seemed that holding hands was not just something romantic. But it stopped some girls from spending too much while on a date. They finally reached the house. There was a small garden in front protected by a waist-tall wall and a small iron gate, which was quite typical since they're leaving near the center of the city. Reggie reached for the lock of the gate inside and invited herself and Toshiro into the garden. She lead Toshiro towards the stop where she stopped and pressed the doorbell of the house. The door opened and a woman wearing her night gown greeted them. "Oh hello! Miss Reggie! and your boyfriend is here too. Hello Toshiro! She sad pleasantly kissing their cheeks as they went inside. "Hi. We came here to do a bit of investigation regarding the request you sent us." Reggie said as they walked towards the living room. They came to a living room with her husband sat in front of a lacrima powered television, watching magical sports. "Look who's here honey!" The woman said to him. He was holding a cup, was about to drink from it as he turned to their visitors, when he suddenly splattered the coffee he just drank. "Lily! You're taking this way overboard." He said as he stared at Reggie and Toshiro in disbelief, then at his wife. Edited by Enchantress, May 11 2017, 01:19 PM.

Toshiro suggested to Reggie for them gather more information at the clients house. Investigate the possible reasoning why the children disappeared. If this is truly a worth case of disappearance or kidnapping, or, could it just be a simply paranoid look of a parent who is just overreacting. With that, the two mages make their way down the streets of Poinsettia towards the client's house. The client should be residing near the commercial district of the city, though they two are working side by side and holding hands, there are things there that may distract the blonde mage. The smoke mage is smoking a stick of cigarette as he walk besides the blonde mage, moving about and making sure that they don't stop by in any of the other shopping stores there. They are currently on a mission right now, a request to find the missing children of a distress mother. Right now they don't have time to waste any time and should head straight to gather more information. After a brief moments of walking down the street, the two reached the residence of the client that request for the two. The smoke mage lead the way towards the front door and inform their presence to the house. The door soon opened when a woman greeted them. She seemed to know who they are and greeted the two while the blonde mage informed her why they are there. She happily invited the two inside her home where they should be able to discuss about the incident about her children. Her husband is also there in the living room, who doesn't seem to care much about their children's disappearance. In fact, to him they are just fine and probably just out with friends or on a field trip. "Nice meeting you ma'am. If you don't mind us asking, can you elaborate on the matter on your children disappearing." the smoke mage would ask the woman first as he does plan on gathering her thoughts on the matter. Maybe later, he would also need to interrogate the husband and know his view on the current incident that happened with their children. |

Reggie and Toshiro entered the house of the client. The woman who hired them for the request invited them to their living room. They followed her there and saw her husband watching a game on a television lacrima. As the husband noticed their presence, he was somehow surprised that his wife actually contacted them. Reggie looked at him and knew he was keeping something from his wife. The wife ignored her husband's disbelief as Toshiro asked her to elaborate the details about how her children went missing. "Well, I saw them talking to each other last night in this living room. Heads closed. I ignored it and thought they were just talking about childish stuff. I was really tired yesterday but I made it sure that they were on bed before me. So I slept peacefully last night, thinking they were sleeping tightly in their beds. I overslept and woke up a bit late, only to find my children were out of bed already.When I came to look for them, I just found the kitchen a mess and their crayons missing. I just finished cleaning up now." The woman narrated. As Toshiro was talking to the wife, Reggie slowly approached the husband who was eyeing her and Toshiro ever since they came inside the house. "Do you mind if I talk to you about your wife's request?" Reggie asked as she hesitated a bit, knowing that he's apprehensive for his wife's action about their missing kids. "Well, I was hoping to talk to one of you. But it seemed that your boyfriend had already interrogated my wife. So I guess your ears would do." He said and Reggie knew she was right. He was indeed keeping something away from his wife. "So you know where the kids are?" Reggie asked in a low voice, not too loud for the wife to hear. But she knew Toshiro heard it. "I'm not telling you anything." He said and this made Reggie's forehead creased. "But I will tell you one thing." He hinted and she knew she was up to solving riddles again. "Just follow the trail that the kids left. You'll see. It's for her benefit." He said as he finally turned to the television. The conversation was done as he didn't say a word or even turn to Reggie. "Well thank you. That is very helpful." Reggie said as she walked towards Toshiro and the wife. The wife looked at her concerned as she approached them. "I'm sorry if my husband is being rude to you." She apologized in behalf of her husband. "It's fine. It's part of our job. You mentioned about your kitchen being a mess. Can we look through your kitchen?" She asked the wife. "Sure dear. Over here." She said as she lead them to a door behind the couch where the husband was sitting. |

The smoke mage went ahead and tried to interrogate the wife as he asked her about her explanation regarding her children. According to the wife’s testimony, she usually sleep right before her children so she made sure they went to bed before her. The next day though, she overslept and woke up that her children are gone while the kitchen is all messed up. The smoke mage listened to her statement while the blonde mage proceed to interview the husband who seemed to know what is going on. The smoke mage would noticed this as the blonde mage seemed to found something from the husband while he entertain the wife. “I see, so it all happened recently when you woke up late and they aren’t in the house anymore. Is this the first time this happened or has this happened before?” the smoke mage asked while it seemed that Reggie is still interrogating the husband. The smoke mage could see that there might be a lot of possibilities that could have happened there. The husband seemed to know what is going on so it is just possible that the wife is just overacting. The smoke mage waited until the blonde mage approached them in order to question the wife. The blonde mage asked to see about the mess in the kitchen as she seemed to have found something there according to the husband. As the wife leads them towards the kitchen, the smoke mage approached the blonde mage and discreetly informed her about something regarding her discovery. “So did you find something? Do you think this is as urgent as she suspect it to be?” the smoke mage said to the blonde mage in a low tone of voice. Something weird is happening within he household though it might just be a private matter. |

Reggie approached Toshiro and the wife after talking to the husband. She looked intently on his eyes, trying to tell him that she sort of found something useful. She suggested that they go check the kitchen. The wife quickly obliged as she head first into the kitchen. Reggie went to Toshiro's side as they walked slowly towards the kitchen. "The husband seemed to have an idea why the children are missing. And he thinks they are perfectly safe." She whispered to him. "I guess we'll have to play our part by making sure that the client follows the clues left for her by her kids." She told him immediately as the woman called them from the kitchen. "Come on here, Miss Reggie, Mister Toshiro." The two came to a very clean kitchen. It was so clean the surface of the counter was gleaming. "So you cleaned up already." Reggie said, worrying that the woman had cleaned up the clue left in the kitchen as well. "Uhm yes dear. I can't stand it. It was a mess." She told her as she proceed to open the cupboard above the counter. Reggie craned her neck and saw the some of its contents were missing. "You're running out on baking ingredients." She told her. "I know dear. The kids seemed to have done something before they went missing. It was like they were baking something." The woman told her as she closed the cupboard and went to get the kettle from the stove. She took three cups from the drawer and laid them in the counter. She gently poured something into the cups. It smelled tea. "Help yourselves dear." She said as she was done filling the cups. Reggie took one cup and passed it to Toshiro and she helped herself to one. "Do they know how to bake?" She asked the woman. "Yes. We bake together. Cookies. Cakes. Pies. Everything we want to have on Sundays." She answered. So the kids knew how to bake. Reggie wondered what they baked. It would be easy to figure out if the woman haven't cleaned up the kitchen. "What kind of mess did the children left when you came to the kitchen?" She asked. "Well, there's flour all over the counter. And icings. And some spills of the juice from the jar of the preserved fruits. It's like they're making a fruit cake." She told her. "It was actually my favorite." She added. The blonde wizard slowly came to understanding upon what was happening. But still, they had to find the clue which will lead them to the children. Reggie looked around at the perfectly cleaned kitchen when the woman interrupted her. "Well, I found a flier as well. It was about a party shop. It seemed that they both some stuffs there." Reggie then knew it was the clue she was looking for. She turned to Toshiro as she tried to tell him that in secret. "Well, that's all for now. We must head to this shop and investigate. We'll come back here if we have some questions for you to answer. Can you show me the flier?" Reggie asked her. The woman took it from another drawer in the kitchen and handed it to her. "Thanks. Come on Toshiro. Let's go to this party shop." She told him, looking into his eyes and still trying to convey her understanding on this request. Edited by Enchantress, May 24 2017, 07:05 AM.

The two were soon called to the kitchen in order to gather the clues possibly left there. The smoke mage even tried to communicate with the blonde mage discreetly as she may have found something with her investigation. From what she is saying, the husband does know something and thinks that the children are safe. Well this is good at least. Slowly the smoke mage could figure out that this might not be as serious as it sounds like from the details coming from the wife. Still the smoke mage simply followed in silence as he lets the blonde mage interact with the wife. “I see, so there must be some kind of reasonable explanation to everything that happened here.” The smoke mage said in a low tone of voice that only he and the blonde mage could hear. Soon enough the two arrived at the kitchen and from the look of it, there aren’t any mess. The blonde mage questioned the wife about it as the wife seemed to have clean up the mess there. Still she informed them what the mess in the kitchen was, even showing some of the ingredient that was missing. The smoke mage isn’t too sure about what was missing but the blonde mage seemed to have an idea. Toshiro simply listened to their conversation and eventually it was revealed that the kids could be baking something there. Judging from the missing ingredients, it could be some kind of fruit cake. The blonde mage and the wife’s conversation continued as they were soon handed a flier, which could be the clue the husband was mentioning earlier. The blonde mage approached the smoke mage and informed him about it as they are now going to the shop the flier is addressed to. |
