Sorry, I’m so sorry, for making you guys wait so long on me. /ded "Nuts? What do you take me for some kind of squirrel? I'll have you know, yes I would love some what type are they?" Rei fished in his pocket, retrieved the honey-roasted peanuts, then abruptly shoved them into her hand, “Honey-roasted, my fave!” The girl patted his head which made a smile appear on his face but it disappeared as quickly as it had come when she mentioned those other people again. For fuck’s sake, forget them! "Of course you're good enough sweetheart, but we can't forget about the other people around us. Like that man over there, he looks hurt. Do you want to come with me?" Sweetheart. Rei’s heart fluttered and his eyes sparkled with fascination but he shook his head disapprovingly, not really wanting to go with her and was dragged along regardless of his rejection of interfering with the others. The outburst from Retsu made Rei blush something fierce but thanking the pretty girl’s lack of interest in him and more into the boy standing next to him, he decided against doing anything drastic at the moment. For now, he was just going to keep his mouth shut while his newly found friend was tending to the boy’s wounds and since none of these people knew exactly what kind of people the siblings were, he just stayed quiet. Best to keep it that way, right? That is, until the flying purple people eater made her presence known by speaking up. "One a' you wee cunts, tell me which one a' you threw that at me. Now." "Totty quine dry yer eyes. Ah didnae see what hit ya but ya ain't panned. Be tricket wie at." …what she just say? Goddamnit, really. Yet the first to speak up was the pretty girl. Jesus, if everyone could have just shut up and act like none of them did it, everything would be fine. Hell, Rei didn’t even know what it was or what had really even happened. Little boy over here was bleeding, his pretty girl was talking in another damn language, Retsu’s fuse was getting shorter, and he was just… baffled. Completely and utterly. That happened more often than not and ignorance was bliss, or so they say. Glaring at Retsu, Rei pointed an objectifying finger at his brother, stating the obvious to everyone except her, “He did it, not even gonna lie, lady. I mean, I didn’t really see him do it since I was distracted with lil’ miss here, but chances are, since neither of us did it, it was him. So, let’s just blame him and call it a day, yes?” Yes. That was a good plan, let’s go with that. ”I'm afraid you might have to pay for that bench over there.” “Excuse me?” he snapped back at the boy, eyeing him rather hatefully, “I am afraid I am going to need you to stop speaking to me, child.” Of course, Retsu had noted the blood but paid no particular interest in it since that was not what his desired intention when he started this petulant prank. Rolling his eyes as the girl in white and Rei approached them; the girl trying to play mother hen while Retsu just looked like a space cadet with no idea of what was going on, Retsu heard the words from the goddess he’d previously been ogling over. "One a' you wee cunts, tell me which one a' you threw that at me. Now." Then the girl spat something back, in a foreign tongue Retsu knew wasn’t Boscan or Fiorian, but something from another planet, maybe. He didn’t know, but didn’t rightfully care either, and was more than happy to watch a cat fight ensue if the two were going to bash each other’s skulls in. In fact, he was hoping that would happen but of course, Rei had to ruin everything by pointing out that he’d been the one to throw the sticks. He didn’t mean to, it just happened as a result of poor planning on his part. Retsu’s fuse was nonexistent as he threw both of his hands forward in the direction of Retsu, forcing magic through his palms, and shoving Retsu so hard and with so much determination that he slammed into the trunk of the large oak tree that he’d been chatting with the girl in white at. At no point did he even touch him, only using a type of magic unknown to most people. He didn’t worry about his brother, knowing good and well that he would be fine after a few minutes, then swung his attention to the other two still standing near him. “I am not here to pick a fight, with any of you, so please, go on about your business and so shall I.” This was going to turn into a clusterfuck and Retsu knew it, could actually feel it in his bones, but hopefully, he could defuse the situation before it escalated any further. Hopefully. |

"Believe it or not, you assumption of my age doesn't change the fact that Magnolia will be billing someone for the destruction of property," he quipped, a faked attempt at a friendly smile animating his face. Still, the hand that was pointing at the remains of the bench dropped into his pocket, showing that Leonidas clearly didn't care any further about the issue. In fact, he was just about to walk away and head towards one of the other parks in the city until he noticed that two, no three, other people had also approached the boy he was speaking to. Although technically he supposed one had been dragged into the thick of it. Well, let's take back that second to last sentence completely, as it seemed that one of the people, the black-haired girl from before to be exact, was more concerned about Leonidas. In addition to that, she stated she was a medic, something that immediately made him think twice about her words that, although they attempted to be kind, only put him on edge. He concealed the fact, however. "I think I'm alright, thanks for offering though," he responded, speaking fluidly with the technical truth. The matter was that although the piece of wood probably should have made more of a mark on Leonidas, his clothing had taken the brunt of the damage. The only reason why it looked like he was somewhat phased by the injury happened to be the contrast between his blood and the white shirt he was wearing. Although it was probably unwise of him, the man was long past the point of wondering why he wore that color of attire. Like so many other things, it was simply because he did. Soon the apparent medic focused her attention on the other female that had approached the tantrum throwing boy in front of him, saying something rather odd and seemingly on accident. It wasn't in a different language, that much Leonidas could tell, but the dialect she spoke in was uncommon, to say the least. What was more was that it was completely different then her tone before. The blonde-haired man didn't bother saying anything, however, simply watching the situation unfold as the taller of the two boys, who were probably related based on their looks, answered the violet-eyed girl's previously posed question, one which Leonidas had barely paid attention to. The girl's gaze, however, reminded him of Eris for a brief moment, and perhaps if it weren't for her rough words and the obvious lack of certain features he might have been drawn to speak with her. Those two things and her obviously irritated attitude led him to remain in his silence, however, or at least for a little while longer. His eyes traveled in the general direction of the older boy as he was flung back towards the tree in which he had previously been lingering by means of magic, but soon they snapped back to the younger's position as he spoke. "I cannot speak for these two ladies, but I have no intention in causing a ruckus. It's a fine day, isn't it? That's a rather peculiar magic you wield," Leonidas replied, briefly gesturing to the two girls as he mentioned them. He appeared completely unphased by the boy's previous show of strength, and uncaring of the one who had been afflicted. And this time, his emotional appearance didn't deceive. |
