 | Name:Project Viðar Unit–M No.24 Nickname: No.24, 美香 (Mika) Age: 5 weeks (Biological Age), 15 (Physical Age) Gender: Female Height: 5'4" Weight: 98lb. Guild: N/A Class: D Affiliation: Neutral Blood Type: N/A Color: #DC143C Ethnicity: Artificial Human (Homunculi)

| Unit Features |
|---|
The specifications of Unit-M's base design are not that much different from that of a regular human subject, being an artificial human proper. Physical appearance of No. 24 takes the form of a 15 year-old teenage female, though select differences can be seen within the subject and normal children of roughly the same age. No. 24 exhibits extreme lack of pigmentation on both skin and hair, closely mimicking albinism; albeit the subject's irises possess an icy blue color. Body proportions were specifically regulated and adjusted to mimic the average build of a child of the same age, resulting in a unit that possesses a slim, slightly sinewy figure. The structure of the body does not however, take away from the unit's physical and magical capabilities however. Hair has been cropped to the size of a chin-length bob considering inconvenience of long hair in modus operandi expected of No. 24.
The Unit-M Series under Project Viðar is designed much in the same manner of the Lachryma Powered Infantryman Program, crafting a combat-capable unit around a lachryma core matrix. Differences between the current project and its predecessor lie within the materials utilized: whereas the LPI Program bound the core operating systems of such units to enchanted and magically imbued suits of armor, the Project Viðar program utilizes purely biological materials instead, emulating accurately muscle, bone, and dermis. The resulting product is a unit near indistinguishable from other Carbon-Based Lifeforms.
No. 24's ensemble consists of an amalgam of clothes well-suited for a variety of environments. Being selected for use within both densely and sparsely populated areas, No. 24 has been issued attire to prevent it from standing out too much. A pair of forearm-long gloves, stockings, a lightly accentuated blouse, alongside a shortened flounced skirt, both colored charcoal, form the basis of the unit's regular attire, further supplemented by a pair of knickers and thicker, woolen socks in colder weather to prevent ability to function from being compromised. The kerchief that more often than not covers its eyes ties back to the imprinted training bestowed upon the unit by means of its Combat Module, while also serving to distinguish the specific unit from previous units 1-23. For carrying items, a small leather satchel has also been provided, allowing the unit to store items, data, and equipment relating to its role.
| IFF Feature |
|---|
All Unit-Ms produced post 23 are now equipped with black kerchiefs to allow for ease of identification, worn over the eyes. Furthermore, all Units produced possess a choker with proper identification, alongside markings of manufacture. Unit No. 24's identification indicates that it is property of Consolidated AG, conceived within an Aster Town Defense Plant. |

| Personality |
|---|
[tabs] [tab=Core Program]Under Project Viðar's principal purpose as a means of creating supplemental units to the Fioran war effort, the Unit-M series has been designed specifically as a multipurpose combat model. As such, the ability to adapt to a wide array of changing environments had been integrated within the Personality Module of the unit in order to function properly. Side effects likely to occur, but easily rectifiable via regular maintenance and periodic reset. In order to function and interact with handlers, No. 24 has been designed with the ability to communicate expressively, though limited based on degree of freedom that the operator so chooses. However, this feature can directly be overridden upon further tampering with the Interface Connection system.
The kerchief that has been placed over No. 24's eyes are not to be removed aside from emergencies requiring combat. A designated reaction has been implemented within the Combat Module of No. 24's personality upon having the aforementioned kerchief taken off, in which, like a hunting falcon, No. 24 will immediately begin attacking designated opponents. If no opponents have been designated, No. 24 will immediately begin attacking all nearby lifeforms until being restored.

[tab=Sentience] Mika's personality module, in being corrupted, grants her a demeanor and attitude very much distinct from her original purpose as an expendable homunculi to be deployed for combat, subterfuge, and other clandestine operations. Relating slightly to her need to adapt to situations, Mika proves to be a rather curious lass, being intrigued by a great many things that she is unused to or unfamiliar with. Indeed, her penchant for understanding and discerning things knows no bounds; investigating and dabbling into things that may very well spell trouble for her as a result. Further exacerbating curiosity's grasp upon Mika lies within the way she tends to approach and tackle things: deciphering and gathering information, before formulating a method to proceed with.
That isn't to say that the homunculi's demeanor is characterized merely by a dangerous fascination with all things foreign; far more aspects and facets form the complex medley that is Mika's corrupted personality. Hailing from less than comfortable origins, in being regarded as naught but a mere tool to be utilized, the girl bristles with dissatisfaction at the thought, or anything relating to her origins, or concepts related to how she is expected to function. Indeed, some of the main driving forces behind Mika's behavior lies within her quest to live as her own person, a separate entity free to govern her own actions and path in life. From the quotidian to the less than banal, Mika merely yearns to capture and foster the essence of humanity, to become more than just a cog within a machine. Woe befall any that dare deprive her of that opportunity. [/tab]

Sentience
Darkness. The world that the lass named Mika was born to was one of darkness. Gestated within an artificial womb, designed around a lachryma-powered core and brought to life by the power of unknown alchemy and other, more obscure methods. Project Viðar was a secret project from which the girl was developed, as part of a batch of artificial soldiers to be utilized in combat against both the Boscans and aspects present within Fiore proper, a makeshift project that was designed originally with the sole goal of negating the effects of the dreaded magic, Bosco Blitz. Ultimately however, with each and every test model, they all proved defective, or incapable, and were disposed of. Number 24 was the 24th within the the M-Series of combat model, a refinement of a homunculi designed to perform far more adequately than the letters and numbers that came before her.
And perform far more adequately she did. While not displaying any overt amount of strength with magic or martial prowess, the unit's forte lay within her ability to learn. To process and adapt accordingly, via down-up intelligence, made the homunculi far, far similar to a living creature than any of the other series of units that came before her; creatures of flesh and creatures of iron, that ultimately lacked what No. 24 and the M-Series possessed. At the time, the developers behind the project believed that via the implementation of a down-up intelligence, the unit's abilities would be augmented further, and made significantly more effective when deployed on the field.
Oh, how wrong they were.
Indeed, the augmentations made to the homunculi were far, far superior to many of the secret and dubious projects that the company had kept under wraps: Lachryma-Powered Infantrymen, Magitech powered walkers, Magic-boosting concoctions, and much more. Imbued with a pseudo-consciousness, and blessed with the ability to adapt, Number 24 soon began to develop a distinct personality that deviated drastically from what was expected of units of its series. No longer did Number 24 follow orders as stated specifically according to later tests performed; often times would the unit begin to display erratic behavior, by means of questioning what it was doing. The development of a secondary personality at odds with the core module proved to be the downfall of Number 24's potential career, and it was eventually slated to be culled; executed by developing model Number 25 in a preliminary test.
During this time did the unit, now calling herself Mika, break from the confines of her chamber, utilizing her uncanny ability to adapt to her advantage in the subsequent escape. Security personnel at the facility was heavy, but concentrated elsewhere in comparison to where the unit was being held; with the layout of the facility already known to Mika, escaping was laughably easy.
What proved difficult after that was what was next. Outside of the Defense Plant, Mika found herself alone, a being neither quite human nor monster, adrift in an unfamiliar world. There were many options, many organizations available for her to come into contact with, that she, freed from the shackles of her former handlers, was free to pursue.
The paths of fate are many, far too much to simply choose. But in having the ability to decide out of one's own free will, is one of the factors that makes up the quintessential essence of a human.
To be more than just a weapon. To be more than just a tool. To be more than just a cog in the machine, something infinitely replaceable by another. Such is her goal. To be different. To be unique. To be human.

[tab=D-Class]
Name: Silence-T
Class: D
Description: Crafted from an amalgam of composite materials developed by Consolidated AG, the Silence series takes the form of a roughly asymmetric bow that measures 212 cm and weighs 1.03kg, though for ease of portability the bow can be stowed in a more compact position. Designed in a manner not unlike bows of Minstrelian origin, a Silence is best utilized from a kneeling position, being ingeniously contoured for sharpshooting with arrows. The bow that No. 24 utilizes is designed as a training bow, lacking many of the other features or capabilities that makes the Silence series such a potent weapon. However, it serves its function adequately when needed by No. 24, though there are indeed better ranged weapons on the market.
Effect/Function: D-Class Bow. Fires Arrows up to a range equivalent to No. 24's power without any modifier.
Image
Name: Training Arrows, Silence-T
Class: D
Description: Crafted from lightweight bamboo wood and bereft of fletchings, the training arrows utilized in conjunction with the Silence-T prove to be relatively useful as a low-velocity, low damage projectile suitable for use with inexperienced wielders of the bow. The head of the arrows utilized with the Silence series is typically fashioned in a rather asymmetric manner, with a barbed point designed specifically to enhance damage; the training arrows are in contrast completely blunt, and deal merely a small amount of bludgeoning damage in return. In this sense, the training arrows prove suitable for purposes that do not require maiming or neutralizing targets outright.
Effect/Function: D-Class Arrow. Deals D-Class damage. Set of 6.

[tab=B-Class]
Name: Consolidated AG Model-32M GunTō
Class: B
Description: The Model-32M GunTō is a specialized variant of the Model-26 Guntō measuring 76 cm (29 3/4) inches and weighing 1.94kg (4.3lb.) that emulates traditional katanas and nodachis whilst still being able to be used slightly more effectively in thrusting. The guntō is stamped and milled from tempered medium-carbon steel, making the weapon slightly more durable than a regular katana, but not by much. Notable differences from the rest of its brethren lie within the peculiar design of the sword, with the blade being relegated somewhat further away from the grip proper, resulting in a front-heavy, nodachi that feels more like a cleaver than a weapon suitable for slashing. Affixed at the portion where the blade meets the tsuba and grip, lies a peculiar nozzle, from which a magical effect imbued within the blade is drawn forth from.
Effect/Function: B-Class Nodachi. Due to the peculiar design of the blade, it deals mainly chopping damage.
Effect: Pulse Mk.I–Lachryma capacitors within the Model-32M are activated via unlocking and depressing a pressure plate built into the sword's grip. Upon activating the aforementioned capacitors and overloading them, the sword releases a burst of energy through a peculiar nozzle affixed within a portion of the tsuba and habaki, striking an opponent within a range of (8) meters and dealing (moderate/r4) damage. Cooldown of 2 posts.

Name: Reinforced Dress
Class: D
Description: No. 24 has been issued a simple garment consisting of a lightly accentuated blouse, alongside a shortened flounced skirt, both dyed black. In order to assist the unit in combat, armorweave has been incorporated into the dress, though throughout the course of time it has fallen into a state of disrepair, boasting negligible protection at best for the unit.
Effect/Function: D-Class Armor/dress.

Magic Magic Name: (T.H.U.D.) Magic Type: Anti–Magic Tier of Magic: 1 Rank: 3 Magic Description: The Tactical Humanoid Unit Discharge System allows Unit No. 24 to perform duties related to combat adequately in the form of Anti-Magic. By nullifying, disrupting, and retaliating against the usage of magic, Unit No. 24 can even the odds against opponents adept in such fields. Be it by creating a field that nullifies all magic within, to targeting specific opponents and relieving them of their cast spells, the Tactical Humanoid Unit Discharge System proves useful, if not somewhat flexible, when the situation calls for it.
Techniques: 3/4 (Discern) - 1 Type: Anti-Magic Disruption: Opener Range: 1m Effect: No. 24 chooses up to one target they are aware of within range to determine if that target possesses a higher or lower magic rank compared to the unit, or alternatively may determine that the target possesses no magic at all. This can only be done once every four posts.
(Discompose) - 2 Type: Anti-Magic: Disruption Range: 2m Effect: Upon being marked by Discern, No. 24 disrupts a single target's magic technique indicated by a pulsating cursor, causing the aforementioned technique to fail if it is Rank 2 and lower, up to 2 TPs worth. Skills, Disciplines, & Quirks -Likes Animals: No. 24 displays an uncharacteristic fascination in animals, preferably mammalian vertebrates. Though perceived to be the result of corrupted data, or a bug within the unit's programming, the unit's penchant for animals remains as an integral part of its personality. Quirk is most likely able to be deleted following next reset.
-Clandestine Operative: No. 24 possesses a preference for avoiding combat if at all necessary, instead preferring–and being somewhat adept–in more clandestine operations. The unit has displayed adaptability to a myriad of environments and scenarios, but proves to be most adept at occurrences relating to this. Therefore, it is highly recommended that No. 24 be utilized in such operations.
-Polyglot: No. 24, having been installed with a Communications Module, is capable of learning and deciphering languages and ideograms with little to no problem. Being designed specifically for use alongside others in the Boscan War, No. 24 is capable of speaking Boscan, in addition to various other languages should the need arise. |
