Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Profile
Name: Enkuron Wist
Nickname: Kuro
Age: 20
Gender: male
Height: 162 cm
Weight: 68 kg
Guild: N/A
Class: D
Affiliation: Lawful Neutral

Appearance
Physical Description:
Like many glacial nomads, Enkuron has very pale skin and light blue eyes, although his eyes have small flecks of Hazel around the iris. His skin is rough and his hands are chapped. Years of a nomadic lifestyle have kept him strong and lean, although his muscles are more of the practical sort. He isn’t toned or ripped. He has a tall, thick nose and small ears. His hair is an ashy black, having flecks of dark brown throughout. He wears his hair short and spiky. It’s styled so that the spikes curve toward the right, in a windswept fashion. While Enkuron might think it looks natural, akin to what tends to happen to hair on the flats, he’s not actually very good at styling hair. He generally carries himself in a relaxed or disinterested manner. Whenever he stands still, he does so at a slouch, and often isn’t bothered to look directly at people. Even in the middle of a fight, he tends to look like he’s only there half-heartedly.

Clothing:
Enkuron typically wears baggy navy-blue pants made from a thick, coarse fiber. He has a large puffy coat made out of the same material. The coat sports an oversized, wind-blocking hood with a string around the opening allowing it to tighten around a pair of goggles. In extreme conditions, he’ll wear a reflective pair with gold-tinted glass. Underneath his coat he could wear several different turtlenecks, ranging from black to light brown. Enkuron has gray leather boots and gloves hand-crafted by his tribe that accommodate special armor.

Due to his magic, he’s able to comfortably wear this outfit in moderate temperatures, and does so. In less than extreme conditions, Enkuron does not wear the goggles, he’ll leave his coat unbuttoned and his hood down, and he’ll often choose a lighter colored turtleneck. He’ll also wear simple gray shoes and no gloves, although his armor doesn’t fit quite as well. In warm temperatures, Enkuron will not wear the coat, and has a single pair of light blue pants that are of normal thickness. In hot conditions, Enkuron will just leave.

Accessories: N/A
Extra:
The Glacial Flats left a bigger mark than his hairstyle. He has a jagged scar of raised flesh starting from the side of his nose, down his right cheek, and ending below his mouth. The scar makes it hard to shave, so he generally maintains a good amount of stubble.

Picture: N/A

Personality
Enkuron just doesn’t seem to care as much. He does everything with the least amount of effort possible. He’s slow, and shuffles his feet along the ground as he walks. It’s not because he’s careful, either. He’ll take an hour to do simple chores, like dishwashing, and yet he’ll cut corners, and only half-dry them. Unless you knew him better, it would be easy to call him unmotivated and lazy.

You’d be wrong; he’s only lazy. Even since he left, Enkuron cares deeply about the well being of his tribe, especially Kristi, his fiancée. Even since his departure, he will still do everything in his power to protect them. Enkuron also carries a small sense of honor. When he fights, he does it to prove the strength of the Numekai Tribe. He hopes that people might start to remember the name. He can easily be motivated by good food, and the smell of fresh dumplings is one of the few things in the world that will get him to hurry up.

Not surprisingly, Enkuron loves fishing. It’s like a game where you don’t have to move or even think. You even get a meal out of it at the end. It’s a whimsical goal, he realizes, but he wants to catch every fish in Fiore. He doesn’t expect to ever complete that goal, but it’s a small way to make his journey more bearable. The clothes, the fishing, the hair, it’s no surprise that Enkuron is homesick. Every single day, he writes a letter back to his tribe, addressed to Kristi, of course. He’s been keeping every letter he writes, searching for a way to get them there.

While his tribe recognizes King Tryndadoush, Enkuron can’t help but wonder what the king has ever done for the Numekai tribe. As far as he is concerned, loyalty is like a contract, and there must be some benefit for it. This philosophy applies carries over to his attitude. If it doesn’t affect him or his tribe, then it isn’t his problem.

Enkuron’s take on his magic is to trivialize it. It’s weird, and makes him different. He’ll certainly use it whenever he needs to, but he constantly plays it off as no big deal, referring to it as “just some minor ice stuff.” Consequently, he isn’t impressed a whole lot when other people use magic. To him, it’s far more impressive when an ordinary person accomplishes the same thing without it. Despite Viking-knight relations in Fiore, he holds a lot of respect for the knights. Of course, he doesn’t really show this respect most of the time, save for a small nod when they walk past.

Weaponry/Equipment
Name: Bone-Plate Shins
Class: D
Description: A series of 4 bone plates hooked together along the edges with fiber. They weigh around half a kilogram each, and are carved to fit around the front half of the lower legs and fit into specialized boots. A cord of fiber at the top keeps them in place. The bone is a yellowish-white, and is polished regularly
Effect/Function: Armor

Name: Bone-Plate Bracers
Class: D
Description: A series of 4 bone plates hooked together along the edges with fiber. They weigh around half a kilogram each, and are carved to fit around the outside half of the arm and fit into specialized gloves. A cord at the other end keeps them in place. The bone is a thinner, slightly whiter kind of bone that used for the shins.
Effect/Function: Armor

Name: Arctic Spear
Class: D
Description: The shaft of the spear is a polished dark wood, about 120 centimeters in length. The spearhead consists of a large ivory tooth, fished up from under the ice. The tooth itself is 12 centimeters long and 4 centimeters wide. It has jagged ridges for cutting meat on the inside edge. The tooth is lashed to the pole with tightly bound leather strips. It weighs about a kilogram and a half.
Effect/Function: Weapon

Name: Fishing Rod
Class: D
Description: A half-meter wooden pole with a 7-meter fishing line attached. When not in use, the fishing line winds around a spool attached to the handle. Enkuron has different lures tied to the pole that he can swap out depending on the fish he wants to catch. The hook is 3 cm long, and made of a bent piece of jagged steel. The contraptions weights about half of a kilogram.
Effect/Function: Utility, sometimes weapon.

Name: Fish Tank
Class: C
Description: This is a rather large aquarium. The walls are a thick glass, with a sturdy black frame. It's about 50 cm wide, 20 cm deep, and 40 cm tall, holding a total of around 60 litres of water. It's got a centimeter of gravel bed at the bottom, made of blue and green pastel stones, and a fake plant in the corner made to look like kelp. The tank comes with an algae scraper, a rubber tube for changing the water periodically, and an arbitrary amount of fish food.
Effect/Function: Because it's too heavy to lug around everywhere, Enkuron usually leaves it wherever he happens to be staying at the moment, such as inns, taverns, or in a tent in campsites. It's great for holding fish that he catches that are too rare or interesting to eat, although sometimes he regrets the amount of maintenance required.

Skills & Disciplines
spear combat- Enkuron is trained with the use of a spear in melee combat. He can reliably make solid attacks, but can’t do anything terribly fancy yet. He can throw it long distances, but generally sticks to shorter throws if he wants to actually hit something with it. He still has a bit of trouble throwing the spear at fast-moving targets.

fishing- It’s Enkuron’s main hobby. He has excellent form while casting and reeling, even changing his movements depending on the desired fish. Fishing information tends to stick in his brain. If it’s a fish he has experience with, he can tell you the perfect time, location, and lure to use in order to catch it. There were a few months he even attempted to weaponize fishing. While he’s never tried it out in actual combat, he’s reasonably sure that he could hook enemies from a distance of around 5 meters.

singing- It’s a little known fact, but Enkuron actually has a fantastic singing voice. He’ll sing occasionally, usually when fishing, and mostly knows old sea shanties passed down from when the Numekai were more successful. He isn’t trained, and won’t hit all the notes just right, but the energy behind his steady voice is sure to affect the mood.

Magic
Magic Name: Ice Stuff
Magic Type: Ice starter magic
Tier of Magic: Starter
Rank: 2
Magic Description: This magic allows the user to utilise very basic manipulations of the element of Ice The user is capable of manipulating the element in a weak way, such as moving it or altering it into various forms for attack or defense. However the manipulations afforded by this magic are not very powerful. Furthermore, Enkuron has difficulty keeping his ice compacted enough to be solid. His techniques tend to use snow instead of solid ice blocks. Enkuron’s more combat-oriented techniques tend to work alongside his martial abilities, and he can’t attack or defend without some sort of physical motion. This magic is capable of non-combat techniques, such as building an igloo at higher ranks, or opening a nice hole for ice fishing.

Techniques: 3/4

(Snow Storm) - (2)
Type: Offensive
Range: 3.5 meter radius around Enkuron
Effect: Enkuron manifests snow and by whirling his spear around he gives it circular momentum. “Storm” at this rank is a bit of a misnomer, as at this rank the snow is just enough to deal superficial cold damage to everyone in the spell's range (excluding Enkuron of course). The whirling snow causes small painful abrasions and leaves everything wet. The technique lasts for 1 post.
Cooldown: 3 posts

(Fishing Hole) - (1)
Type: Supportive
Range: Touch
Effect: Cuts ice in a circle with a radius of a half-meter, and up to a half-meter deep. The ice inside the circle is the lifted up and moved to the side. This technique only works on non-magical ice at this rank. The Ice is always moved in the least obstructed direction, and if there is no unobstructed path, such as something surrounding it or standing on top of it, the spell is treated as having a power stat of 3.
Cooldown: 2 posts

-"He can throw it short distances, up to 20 meters, and still maintain accuracy. "
This is really dictated by your stats, so putting this in your skills doesn't work out. I would reword this to remove numbers and mention of direct accuracy. Something like "He is able to proficiently use the spear, from melee combat to projectile usage." Obviously not those exact words though!

That magic name...lol

Your Snow Storm spell needs an exact range listed.

Your Fishing Hole spell needs a little bit more detail. There is magical ice, so I would mention that it can only be used on magical ice of equal or lesser rank, as well as natural ice.

Edits are done!

In addition to what Sachio Hanabe pointed out, I linked waldren to its bestiary page, and fixed a couple instances of accidentally writing "Wist" as the name of his tribe instead of "Numekai."

That is better! Everything else looks fine. Just a suggestion, but you do not 'need' to have a power stat listed for Fishing Hole. You already have a max size of ice being moved, so I don't think you need anymore limitations. Feel free to keep it if you want, but it's not needed.

Thanks! I think I will keep the power stat though. It's something I can increase at higher ranks, and without it, it might be construed that Enkuron could lift or push unlimited amounts of weight.

What's The Point

Your spear and fishing rod need weight in kg. Looks fine otherwise.
