Description:
An institution almost as old and distinguished as the resplendent High Castle Arlan that lies in the heart of Chrysanthemum, the Royal Knights Academy of Fiore is a venerable public institution responsible for producing some of the greatest knights and lauded defenders of the kingdom that Fiore has had to offer, with its traditions in excellence and its noble roots stemming from the First Crusades, dating back to the expansion of the Knights of Fiore's duties during the reign of King Marius ro Unmariquia.
Throughout time immemorial, there has always existed the need to provide sufficient training and edification of both martial prowess and mental faculties for most every burgeoning army, and the Knights of Fiore is no exception. With the expansion of their duties following the decades after the First Crusades, alongside the subsequent increase in their numbers in the years to follow, a suitable training center for fulfilling those purposes was needed by the Kingdom of Fiore's military forces to maintain a professional and cohesive fighting force. For but a scant moment of several years, the High Castle fulfilled that role well, providing masters-at-arms and a location to train at as the numbers of the Kingdom's armed forces began to swell. The hallowed stronghold could only offer so much space to allow new recruits to perform their various exercises and drills; certain practical applications could simply not be practiced without great alterations to the grand castle, for instance.
It was during this time, scarcely two decades after the construction of the mighty fortress, that a new facility was needed in order to instruct the vast influx of Knights-to-be, sufficiently large enough to host training grounds, classrooms, and a plethora of other facilities conducive to honing treatises both physical and psychological. The culmination of yet another arduous several years of labor under the prestigious Order of Mason Knights, the Royal Knights Academy of Fiore was constructed in order to fulfill these roles adequately, and nowhere is this more evident than in the basic design of the entire campus: just big enough as to not to detract from the rest of the military quarter in which it has been erected, whilst maximizing the space to be had.
The academy grounds are partitioned roughly into four wards governed by four deans and presided over by a superintendent, in accordance with the selected branch that an aspiring Knight chooses to proceed through. Be it the Royal Knights, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Navy, or the Royal Marine Corps, each of the specialized buildings within the campus's wards are designed accordingly to nurture the unique abilities expected of squires completing their occupational specialties. From learning how to helm a ship, to theories of psychological warfare, to practical drills pertaining to artillery operation, the various buildings devoted to various occupational specialties offer an eclectic selection of courses for a knight to pursue, alongside applicable pathways and majors similar to the courses available at a civilian university.
Though the academy may be separated based on branch however, some of the areas within the school are markedly different in the sense that they are joint-service and thus take place within the central complex of the campus, located at an equivalent distance from the other wards. Such areas comprise the central nucleus of the campus, consisting of locations such as an expansive atrium well-suited for the various combat drills and exercises mandated and utilized throughout a squire's tenure in basic training, alongside administration offices and a plenitude of dormitories, all divided based on sex.
To provide security for the Royal Knights Academy of Fiore against trespassers and rule-flouters, the campus utilizes its own specialized police units in order to defuse altercations and maintain order. Such gendarmes consist of a small, but cohesive unit of squires known only as the Royal Knights Academy Corps of Provosts, comprised out of the top 10% of students who display both remarkable aptitude and commendable conduct. It is within the Corps of Provosts that such students serve as the harbingers of order and discipline throughout the campus, while also attaining valuable service experience in duties markedly similar to what many knights upon graduation will inevitably also experience within the field.

- Age: 45
- Rank: Colonel
- Branch: Royal Knights
A no-nonsense, no-frills fellow, Superintendent Remarque oversees that of the entirety of the Academy with an iron hold. It is a tight ship that he runs, the academy; the man has little respect or tolerance for those that circumvent, if outright destroy the very values and tenets that the academy stands for. To those willing to embrace the Knights ethos wholeheartedly, Remarque is a stalwart example of a veteran knight, a man devoted to instructing and supervising his students, and guiding them in the right direction. Strict may he be in his ways, but it is with their best interests at heart that he acts. | Dean Hyuga

A seemingly stern military man, Leon suits the role as dean of the Royal Knights' Academy's Naval sector like a glove, being earnest if not, near zealous in the edification of his pupils in becoming model sailors and seafarers. Eager to instruct and better that of the squires under his jurisdiction, the seasoned seaman expects much from both the students and teachers within his ward, and thus demands much in return. Any found to be wanting in such capacity, he has but little patience for. The term "Sink or Swim" best characterizes how he tutors. Dean Nordenfelt | Dean Mercer
