Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Honesty without tact is cruelty.

Okay, so you all know I work in a bookstore.

I found out yesterday I'm allowed to order 2 series for 2 sections of the store that I really want to be there.

So for my first one, I clearly want fantasy, but I'm open to suggestions.

For the second, I want the input from you guys as well.

So pick a genre (Romance, Mystery, General Fiction, manga, etc.) And give me some ideas. You're welcome to list more than the two series, and I'll consider all of them compared to stock.

If it's James Patterson or R. A. Salvatore. We go it already.

Alright, have some fun and let me see your book nerd. <3

Id vote between Mystery/Crime Fiction OR something with more practical use to the general public. Maybe some Non-Fiction Biography. Something of historical value? I mean for lead in a book store-- which btw SUPER GRATZ to get such an awesome job I'd want too :P

Id consider Science Fiction, but Science Fiction and Fantasy kind of come close.

Fantasy:
Greatcoats series by Sebastian De Castell
Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling
Chronicle of the Exile series by Marc Turner
Marakand series by K.V. Johansen

Non-Fantasy:
Inspector O mystery series by James Church
Slough House series by Mick Herron (kind of spy novels but also satires)
Captain Alexei Korolev historical mystery series by William Ryan
Jack MacTaggart mystery/thriller series by Chuck Greaves

I could keep going and going and going but I'll stop for now.

Lit, please keep going.

I just wanted things you'd read Zaber. I'm ordering things I want in the store. We already have extensive non-fiction section.

Stormlight Archive is covered.

Wheel of time is covered. As are the complete works of Lovecraft, and Sir Arthur Conna Doyle.

Give me some things you've really enjoyed, but haven't been able to find in a bookstore lately. That's what I'm looking for.

What of books by H. Rider Haggard, like Montezuma's Daughter or Ayesha or Allan Quatermain?

Or Journey to the West by Wu Cheng En.

Don't think about Don Quixote; I mean the complete version. It's initially interesting and funny in a quaint, rustic way, but then it draws out and becomes dreary. Perhaps a truncated version would be better.

Yeah, I'm a fan of old titles....

There is another series but Mazo will remember it, i gave it to him a couple years back. I am sure he will have lots of other cool ones too... for the love of me I can't remember their names.. but he will haha.
