Account Name: Sinjin ![]() Overview [tabs=Profile][tab=Basic Information]
[tab=Themes and Kagura Dances] [/tab][/tabs] Appearance [tabs][tab=Physical Description]Mikazuki has short black hair with long uneven fringes. Due to wearing a hair tie with an ornament, he can pull back the hair on the left side and behind his ear, leaving the longer fringe only on the right side. He has lightblue eyes with a taint of yellow crescent just beneath the irises, a sign of his ethereal connection with the Moon Deity Tsukuyomi. He is tall and slender, and when wearing his formal clothes, he looks overly dressed, with a motif of blue and resplendent gold. He has fair bordering to pale complexion and always seem to have a reserved smile on his face.[/tab][tab=Clothing]
Kagura Dances [/tab] [/tabs] Behind The Smile [tabs=Nature][tab=Personality]Mikazuki has a caring nature and is often in a dilemma whenever he realises that his being overprotective of others would eventually come to bite back at him. His has good rapport with children, which is a surprise, especially since he grew up surrounded by priests and rituals and codes or simply put, he never had a childhood of his own. Because of this, he can be a bit childish, or easily surprised by childish things. Perhaps, it is due to the behaviors of the priests and he is simply imitating them. He is also quite fond of animals, seeing as how they are essential to the religion he has devoted his life to. Most importantly, he is a devoted worshipper of the Moon Deity and the lesser kamis of that Deity’s house, which is often portrayed in some of his mannerism and reactions. He was originally to become one of the priests of the home shrine of the Moon Deity in his home country, but his skill with the Kagura (or ritual dance) and the arts had garnered him some praises as he grew up. He was eventually taught proper swordsmanship related to sword dancing cigar by one of the wealthy patrons of their home shrine. As such, he is quite graceful and appreciative of arts and the likes whenever he sees one. As such, it would not be a surprise if ends up collecting strange and eccentric art pieces when he travels. And as one that was thought to become a priest, he is quite obstinate in certain things, but never with sweets. He has a major sweet tooth and would deeply appreciate any form of sweets. Living in a patient and almost different world in the shrines of his home country, Mikazuki seems to live life with a different pace. He is almost carefree but his actions are never clumsy. He is rational when it comes to challenges of life, despite learning philosophies of ancient times, yet he can also be emotionally charged, though not to the point of being blinded by his emotions. Because of that, sometimes onlookers think him to be fake, as he never seems to burst into any real emotion. But that is only because he has lived a reserved and moderate life filled with trainings of self-control. He is selfless in action, never wanting or desiring much in life, even in his worship of the Moon Deity. To become the host of the Deity is neither duty nor curse to him, but as a sense of destiny, of which he plays a part of. As such, every kagura he dances in honour of the Deity is his way of expressing his passion. While he does not openly dislike self-centred people, he finds them rather troublesome. He has no opinion on politics and matters of international relations since the religion he follows is an encompassing one; inclusion rather exclusion, and his relationship with the Deity is far more important than any other mortal needs.[/tab][tab=History]One first assumes that Mikazuki was an orphan found in the head shrine of the Moon Deity, seeing as how he was essentially raised there and lived most of his life in its premises, owing to the love and careful guidance of the priests. However, his life didn’t start out as tragic as that. He was the son of the minor shrine’s head priest. It was customary to present the infant for blessing and guidance as soon as one is born. It was during this ritual presentation when the Moon Deity made it known that she favoured the infant. Through signs and mystical codes, it was confirmed that the Deity seemed to have chosen the infant as a host to part of her grace. As such, it was natural to let the infant live and learn about the ancient religion and worship of the Moon Deity from the head shrine. And in honour of the Deity, he was named simply Mikazuki, in reference to the yellow crescent that appears beneath the irises of his eyes, a symbol of the Diety’s presence within him. He would not take up his family’s name, nor any other family name, not even the official name of the head shrine’s priests, for he would be known to belong only to the Moon Deity, Tsukuyomi. As such, growing up, Mikazuki learned the ways of old, arts and teachings of the Moon Deity. He would spend most of his time within the shrine premises, avoiding other children (or at least the lack of communication with them), and even avoiding most of the shrine patrons. He favourite companions, aside from the singing priests or the generous cook priest, were the animals that wandered along the shrine– from cats to deers to tanukis and foxes. He began to show promise in the art of kagura or ritual dancing by the age of 12, and would often imitate from a distance during certain celebrations. One time, he ends up performing ancient kagura dances that he saw in his dreams at night, of which are forms lost to ancient knowledge and are thought to be knowledge transferred to him by Tsukuyomi herself as her chosen host. By 14, he performs the annual kagura dance of the first New Moon of the year with such elegance and trance-like aura that one of the shrine patrons offered to teach him swordsmanship in order for him. This was due to the ancient lore of the Tsukuyomi who wielded the sword against tyrants of the universe with such grace, that he believed the kagura that Mikazuki was learning through his dreams were in fact the sword dances of Tsukuyomi. Thus, in hopes to see those movements in real life, he ushered Mikazuki’s education of the sword, hoping his intimate relationship with the Deity would hold true with the sword as well. By 17, Mikazuki would be gifted with Shishiou, one of the Five Great Swords of the Moon Deity’s Shrines, which was at that moment being kept by the said shrine patron. And true enough, the following years, when he would perform the New Moon kagura dances with both sword and sacred fan, it almost seemed as if he was purifying the land with his blade. Though certain observers notice that the yellow crescents on his eyes would glow as reflectively as the moon during these occasions, further encapsulating his identity as the favoured one of Tsukuyomi. At 21, he began his pilgrimage around the Moon Deity shrines of his country increased, due to his entrancing kagura. He began to live the life of a wandering priest (if that was a way to call it), often returning to the head shrine only for the main event of the New Moon Festival. It was during his many travels that he would encounter many individuals, learning and experiencing more of the world, and vanquishing evil spirits or ill-intentioned mages. Eventually, however, his journey would lead him to discovering that much of his country’s ancient matters are left undiscovered, and that a certain large Kingdom to the west have accumulated through trade over centuries past the relics of different countries. As such, he believes he will know more of the ancient matters of the Moon Deity if he travels to find these lost relics. The beginning of this journey was on the day he performed his last New Moon kagura in the head shrine that was attended by thousands that gathered all around, almost up to the bottom of the mountain. And so, he journeyed to Fiore.[/tab][/tabs] Edited by Sinjin, Dec 21 2016, 05:39 AM.

Unlike most kimono styles, this one has its opening along the side and with a wide and standing collar. Effect/Function: Freedom (自由な) - (7) The very essence of freedom is ability to be unaffected by one of the universe’s constraint - gravity, and thus, this ability allows the wearer freedom from gravity’s clutches. As such, the wearer can do something as simple as hovering up to flying in the sky, and the elimination of gravity’s constraints would allow the wearer to move at faster speed. This flight technique allows the wearer to fly for up to 100m above ground, increase Speed by 15, and carry up to 75kg. Duration: 5 posts Cool Down: 2 posts[/tab][/tabs] Pets

Magic Information
[tabs][tab=Techniques] Tsukuyomi (月読尊) - (10) Type: Summoning Range: Self Effect: As host to the Moon Deity, Mikazuki has bonded with Tsukuyomi through an ethereal connection ever since the day he was presented to the head shrine of the Moon Deity. This allows him to have divine magic to materialise Tsukuyomi into the mortal realm. Summon does not disappear until defeated, and the summoner will suffer mental backlash. A 3-post cool down will commence before a resummoning is allowed, for which the summon returns in full health. Kagura: Shingetsu (新月) - (10) Type: Support - Defensive Range: Self & Summon Effect: Based on centuries-old ritual dances, Mikazuki performs a worship dance that strengthens his and Tsukuyomi’s ethereal connection to the point that they can now share the burden. Aesthetically, Mikazuki manipulates the divine energies to create spheres of light that revolve around him and Tsukuyomi, and they act as barriers and mitigators of any magical assault. Stemming from the connection between summoner and summon, the spheres of light can lessen the intensity of magical assaults as the effect would be that the two share the burden. Technically, the original equivalent rank of the magical assault will be decreased by 4 ranks prior to any additional defenses that either Mikazuki or Tsukuyomi has to take effect as both will be affected by the attack whether or not the other was targeted. This can work against up to 30TP worth of magical assaults throughout the duration. Mikazuki performs this dance for 1 full post in order to activate it, and cannot use any other Kagura-based techniques throughout the duration of the activation. Duration: 3 posts Cool Down: 1 post Kagura: Jougen no Tsuki (上弦の月) - (10) Type: Support Range: 0~50m radius (range between Mikazuki and Tsukuyomi); 0~80m radius (reach of crescent light) Effect: Based on centuries-old ritual dances, Mikazuki performs a worship dance that materialises two gold crescents (approximately 1m in length) to appear next to Tsukuyomi throughout the duration. These gold crescents would follow through any of Tsukuyomi’s attacks (whether normal attack or ranged magical assault) once per post (the first attack) that deals critical slicing damage each. Mikazuki performs this dance for 1 full post in order to activate it, and cannot use any other Kagura-based techniques throughout the duration of the activation. Duration: 3 posts Cool Down: 1 post Kagen no Tsuki (下弦の月) - (10) Type: Offensive Range: 0~100 meters (shooting range); 2~20-meter wide (arc ray coverage; 2-meter length growth per 10-meter distance it travels) Range: Mikazuki turns his ethereal connection with Tsukuyomi into a materialised arc ray that he can shoot from swinging his sword. The arc ray begins at about 2-meters in length and gradually grows in size the farther it reaches (max length of 20-meters upon reaching 100-meters). It is almost crescent-shaped and deals an armor-breaking devastating impact damage. Cool Down: 2 posts Devotion: Power Transfer - (Free) Type: Stat Transfer Range: Self/Summon Effect: As host to the Moon Deity, Mikazuki uses the same ethereal connection that bonds them to transfer his power to Tsukuyomi. This technique transfers the following stats permanently as long as the summon is alive: [40 Endurance] [35 Toughness] [20 Speed] [40 Accuracy] [/tab][tab=Tsukuyomi] ![]() Name: Tsukuyomi the Moon Deity Nickname: Tsukuyomi Age: Unknown Height: 5’6” Weight: 120 lbs
Personality Tsukuyomi is a silent deity, though she speaks her intentions and desires through dreams. She contemplates a lot, often than not about an unanswered apology to someone dear to her. As such, despite her meekness, she does her best to ensure that she is in constant communication with her host Mikazuki. She acts like a wise counsellor for Mikazuki, though sometimes overtly motherly (because she has been with him ever since he was an infant), which is evident when she brims happiness and pride whenever Mikazuki performs an ancient Kagura or simply excels in what he does, or scolds him when he strays. Weaponry Name: Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi (天叢雲剣) - Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven Class: S Description: A sword of legends as written in the records of ancient matters, often described as being powerful enough to cut through the world. It is a tachi by form (long sword compared to regular katana) with a full length of 80cm. Its cross guard is circular in shape and colored silver and light grey along with its handle. At the pommel of the sword, a braided silver thread of about 30cm hangs loosely with a small pendant of the crescent moon at the end. The decoratives all around the body of the sword resemble shrine ornaments. image Stats - (563) Power: 73 Endurance: 81 Toughness: 86 Speed: 62 Accuracy: 81 Magic: 90 (180) Magic Name: O-Tsukimi (お月見) Magic Type: Divine Energy of the Moon Light Rank: 10 Magic Description: True to her origins as a Moon Deity, Tsukuyomi’s magic, O-tsukimi is the embodiment of the moon mythology: that is it a reflection, is it divine energy, it is a heavenly being, and the guide to the afterlife and spirits. It harnesses divine energy (non-elemental in nature as it is more cosmic) which are manipulated to create destructive forces or conquer light. In the manner that moon is a reflection, it can turn divine energy and cast an ephemeral and pure light that has no natural attribute, and manipulate it to create refractions, often than not creating illusions or sometimes boundaries and territories according to Tsukuyomi’s direction. Simply put, her offensives involve piercing light, linear explosions, blast zones, cutting shockwaves, illusions (light refractions); and her supportive involve territorial shifts, guardian and healing light, and energy transfers. Moon Mythology Techniques: (40/50) (20 original pool + 30 summoner pool) IZAYOI (十六夜) - (10) Type: Offensive / Utility Range: 50-m radius for offensive area; 4x 3-m radius circles and 100-m height for tower of light Effect: Four 3-meter radius circles appear on the surface in all four directions (10 meters away) of Tsukuyomi’s initial position. Aesthetically, inside the circles are the four phases of the moon (Full Moon, Crescent, Gibbous, and New Moon). And from within the circles, light would erupt from the ground and reach towards the sky, illuminating the area. However, these towers of light serve as spaces of protection as the area outside them are continually affected by a swelling of Tsukuyomi’s divine energy (described by feeling a sort of heaviness in the air) throughout the duration. The divine energy deals devastating per round. -> Anyone can enter the tower of light in the four circles and be spared from the damage. -> Once the circles have been set and activated, Tsukuyomi can move freely without the circles rearranging their position in accordance to her. Duration: 4 posts Cool Down: 2 posts ![]() TSUKIKAGE (月影) - (10) Type: Offensive Range: 0~500m linear path; 5m radius blast size Effect: Tsukuyomi gathers her divine energy around her hand that takes aim and a ring of reddish black matter is formed. It's not dangerous on its own, but as she thrusts her sword through the ring, a large blast is shot forward at an alarming speed and length with a wide area of effect (approximately 5m radius blast size), leaving destruction at its wake. The devastation is great enough to alter the landscape as the pathway would appear to have been seared by an immensely dense and hot stream of light, or deal equivalent to catastrophic damages. Cool Down: 1 post NEMACHIZUKI (寝待月) - (10) Type: Support - Healing Range: 15m radius (distance from Tsukuyomi); 5m diameter (healing circle) Effect: Tsukuyomi creates a territory in the form of a circular space (5m diameter) within the acceptable range from her, aesthetically seen as a soft bluish glow and the surface of the ground resembling the moon. Here, her divine energy swells up in a moonlight glow and all allies that enter the premises are blessed with divine grace and treated for injuries. This is a ‘Heal over time’ technique and requires 2 full posts for any complete healing of an equivalent to 1 Critical injury, or replacing 1 lost limb or organ from scratch, or replacing fatal blood loss. Duration: 2 posts Cool Down: 3 posts TSUGOMORI (晦) - (10) Type: Support - Utility Range: 0~100 radius dome Effect: Tsukuyomi spreads her magic within the affected range and devours the light within it, leaving a pure black world. Anyone looking from the outside will only see a completely black sphere with nothing inside it. Enemies inside are deprived of their senses of hearing and smell, but can still see as if they were in a completely dark room, and magical light of a Rank equal to or higher than this techniques can illuminate the area. Anyone with an Accuracy higher than 100 or Tsukuyomi's Accuracy (whichever is higher) can recover both their senses. Anyone with an Accuracy higher than 80 or Tsukuyomi's Accuracy minus 20 (whichever is higher) can recover only their sense of smell. Editing the techniques total to 60 earned Kagura: Shingestsu -> 30TP is based on the original rank of the targetted technique. Like say it was original rank 10, so it takes 10 from the 30TP pool, then the effects of the kagura takes place that makes it -4 in rank (the 30-10TP remains though). And yeah it is shared between summoner and summon, but if the same source attacks them, it is treated as one (like a multi-hit type since it uses the same TP count aka magic source) |
