This on-hit additional damage version is okay to have 1 post cooldown now. It is already implied to be an instantaneous duration, but mention this anyway (for others' sake since some other people have magic that require this information outright). It might help to tweak the following: "Successfully performing a Ki strike purifies (removes) or corrupts for [rank] points of corruption." into "Successfully performing a Ki strike allows Hikaru to choose either to purify (remove) or corrupt for [rank] points of corruption." assuming that giving him the choice was the intended effect. |

Changes made. For my own information, at what rank if any would it be acceptable to re-introduce the "once per post against a target" mechanic? |

The 'once per post' mechanic would still require a cooldown assuming you still want to deal [rank]'s worth of damage per hit. As such, if you want to keep the cooldown at 1 post, then it will depend on how long of a duration you would be looking for as well. "Rank 5, 2 post duration, 1 post cooldown" or "Rank 6, 2 post duration, 1 post cooldown" is an acceptable guideline to keep in mind at the moment assuming that you keep the one range at melee, and to an extent you would be able to increase duration if you increase cooldown along with it. A higher duration without having a higher cooldown would also be allowed somewhere around R8, but it is easiest to look at the technique at that time rather than right now. Re-1/2, but feel free to continue asking any questions that you may have. Edited by Fumus, Dec 14 2016, 04:40 AM.

So if I were to go the route where it has a duration, would it not make sense to add a duration of "one post" to this right now and have it last "from the first to the last strike in the post, with no single target taking more than [rank] worth of damage per post"? |

When I had first read your technique, I had assumed that you had wanted the technique to be instant (instead of imbuing your weapon and then attacking, you would simply attack with the strike being imbued at contact) instead of asking what you had intended. It is up to your choice if you would like to make the duration one post (in which you imbue your weapon and then you can choose to make your attacks or not), or make the duration instantaneous (in which the technique would activate only when you make the attack). You are still allowed to upgrade the technique to have a longer duration later on in the ranks regardless of your choice right now (or alternatively change it from one post duration to instantaneous duration later on if you decide at that time that you no longer want to deal attacks across a duration). |

Your original assumption was correct, adding a duration had not been on my mind when I first made this. I'll leave it as it is for now and possibly change it at a later date, thanks again for your help ^^ |

I like your character build and your magic is possible. However-- for the two Ki techniques you have, 1 post cooldown is a bit too short. Please make it 2. Bare in mind however, once you reach Overpowered status, you can freely make the coodlown much shorter. But attacks with this kind of optional effects, still should have a longer cooldown. 2 posts is basic for any kind of attack spell. |

・ Focused Ki -"to deal additional light magic damage" 'Light' is the descriptor used for Rank 3 equivalent wounds. You'll need to change this to 'minor' since it is now R2. -You need to mention somewhere that you can only perform a strike 'once per target per post'. This would mean that one target can only receive one instance of the damage per post, but you will have the option of striking other targets in the same post, or, saving a strike(s) for the same target for the next post(s). |
