Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Well if the guide says one thing and I say another the guide is correct, I apologize. The thing I showed you was given to me quite a ways back and I was not aware of any changes made to how it works but apparently there were changes, so for now base your magic stat off of the guide and once again I'm sorry for confusion. I'm sure Inara or Aura or whoever will post here with a better explanation since I was under the impression that after r6 magic increased my increments of 30. Sorry for the third time.

Oh, okay then. I changed things back to 60(70) as per the guide, but since you raised up the query in the thread, I am sure that we would get the answers by the time Ina, Aura, sir Mazohyst, or Popo look at this app. Wrong or right, it is easy to just edit things out once a verdict is handed; more importantly, thanks again for warning me about something; it is very much appreciated. (-^_^-)

Okay, Ina just changed the Magic Guide which now makes the previous calculations correct. So, with that said, Magic is back to 60(90) and, hopefully, makes this application approval-worthy. Thanks again for the help, man; I really appreciate it. *bro-hugs Mago* (>°_°)> ~~2ft. away~~ (°_° )

Rank 4 single stat buff only receives +20 points.

Still doesn't, for me, make sense with your magic.

The point of the magic description is to tell us what your magic can and cannot do. I do not understand magical matter manipulation having any correlation with a buff. Personally.

I used the 'Gain more stat points per rank* by decreasing duration by 2 posts' option from the Irregular Buff Rules segment of the Buff/Debuff Guide. By instead making the effects 'Instant' instead of '3' as is the normal duration of a Rank 4 single-statistic buff technique, it justifies the +10 SP addition to the base +20 SP reinforcement given to Accuracy.

With respect to your personal opinion though, I understand where the iffiness is coming from. The OC's magecraft deals with matter manipulation, so the usual conception is make/destroy this into something else. However, in remaking something, the person who remakes it also has the power to make it better than it was before should one exert more effort into making it so. Nero's ability to do just that, albeit temporarily, is pointed out in the last paragraph of the magic description which states:

Apart from being able to deconstruct matter and ether clumps to a quantum level, Nero can also restructure and re-purpose matter and ether clumps using his magecraft, allowing him to repair damage on anything capable of restoration and even temporarily reinforce another's physical structure by interweaving his magecraft into the subject.


If he can do that to others, then all the more reason he perform such feats on himself. It is just that, with Phantasmal Pedigree, it comes 'automatically' and 'natural'; he does not even have to be conscious of it as his body already knows what to do as soon as he gets serious about something he wants removed.

Well for one. No. Your switcheroo whatever does not justify it being +30 especially since the by rank thing is not exponential, but rather additive. Which means you'd get a +24 accuracy buff.

Now as far as the whole whether or not you can actually buff using this magic thing goes I'm going to say no, edit your magic description if you want to be able to buff and here's why. Reinforcing something physical structure does not mean you're buffing it (statistically) for me this line means that you can (potentially) turn a B class item into and A class one for a short amount of time, or strengthen a collapsing wall or something. If you wanted buffs you'd just have to add something like this "(insert magic fluff) so the user can boost his natural attributes" which, mind you, is not the same and reinforcing a physical structure, especially for all intents and purposes stats are not physical. Sure you could BS it to get PWR by protein manipulation or something, same could be said for speed, but for accuracy and endurance (toughness falls with speed and power) these two stats are changed magically, since accuracy basically makes you see faster which isn't possible. So change the magic description or ditch the buff is what I'm trying to say.

I think I will just save Phantasmal Pedigree's re-work on a future date as a signature spell of sorts since, by that time, I can BS my way by using higher stats as a base for the ability. In its place, I added in a healing skill for Nero which should probably fly. Here is to hoping for that. x( =w= )x

Not okay with you transmuting living things, aka healing cuts and wounds.

Putting my foot down, you are not allowed any supportive spells with your magic. You more or less have some form of anti-magic + additional offensive spells that you wouldn't be able to get with anti-magic so it'd be only fair.

Going to say that I absolutely agree.

I'd be fine with limited utility, but the way your magic is currently set up, I see no reason for you to have access to support magics as well. It doesn't fit with the theme you yourself have created, not even in a round about way.

So, that's simply the verdict on that. As much as I hate outright saying no, that's what it is. Your magic is versatile enough without adding in support as well. Please edit accordingly.
