Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The blue-eyed man sat silently, poring over the wanted posters which had plagued his desk as-of-late. There were the normal sorts, of course, sneak-thieves, pickpockets, shoplifters... normal petty things. Nothing worth the attention of Saint Savio, not by a long shot. No... what he was really focusing on was the crude drawing of a known bandit that had recently been growing more... aggressive. There were reports, now, of the little bastard literally knocking over wagons to rob merchants and little old ladies alike. This, Savio Morandi could not stand for.

There were very few things known about the boy... and truly, he was a boy. The reports all said he was incredibly young, probably no older than seventeen: head topped with a crop of unruly blond hair. Each time he appeared, he was wearing a coat draped over a black shirt. Other than that, reports varied wildly. Some claim he fought with a strange weapon, other times, that he let his companions do all the fighting for him. Hell, even the descriptions of the coat varied from person to person. Because of the lack of consistent evidence, many of the Knights had written the issue off, resigning that the only way to find the brat was by catching him red-handed. Savio did not agree.

Halfway across town...

Halfway across town, Verrin was gettin a bite to eat. He was sick of buying food at his landlord's restaurant, and had elected to sneak away and eat at a place that had just opened a few blocks away. He had been especially careful to sneak away while the restaurant was busy. His landlord was always really nosy when he saw Verrin heading out, and as far as he was concerned, it was best to just avoid that confrontation for now.

The food he ordered reminded him of home, or rather, of his mother's cooking. She was always making some kind of curry, so tasting some of those familiar spices really brought a smile to his face. He scooped up the last of his meal onto a piece of naan bread, wiping the bowl clean before popping the deliciously spicy morsel into his mouth. He scooted back from the table, patting his belly appreciatively as he let the meal settle. Perhaps he would grab a bit of dessert before he left? Maybe a bit of payasam? Ooh~ Or maybe a few rosgulla?

Regardless of what he wanted, when Verrin finally checked his wallet, he realized it didn't really matter. He barely had enough to pay for the meal itself, even with an admittedly sub-par tip. Getting dessert was, honestly, completely out of the question. Still, that didn't mean he couldn't sit for a while and enjoy the ambiance for a little while. Besides, it had just started to rain outside, so he was in no rush to get going any time soon. He flagged down his server, asking for another glass of water before sitting back and just listening to the music.

"the music."

Alekis walked down the streets of Magnolia with stars in his eyes at the different sights of Magnolia. It was bigger and grandeur than anything he had ever seen. Of course as usual he wasn't watching where he was going and kept bumping into people. Turning he stopped as he looked at a dark alley, tilting his head he considered going down it but was distracted when a bird flew by. He turned and began chasing it, laughing as it swooped around. His interest died as a delicious smell hit his nose. Sniffing the air he licked his chops as his stomach rumbled. Looking at his wallet he was happy to see a good amount of jewels left over. He may or may not have swiped some from a previous train adventure and some bad guys who wouldn't need it anymore or for at least twenty years.

Stepping into the restaurant he breathed in the mouth watering aroma, closing his eyes so his focus was just on his nose. The smell was intoxicating and made him hungrier. Walking to a table across from a young man he sat down and picked up the menu. Today he rocked a pair of sky blue knee length shorts and a white sleeveless shirt, as usual no shoes and a heart shaped pendant around his neck. His hair stuck up in all directions like he fought a fuse box and lost badly. A wide smile on his handsome face but that handsome was offset by the manic look in his green eyes. He looked like a school boy who escaped from a lunatic facility was the best way to describe him.

As he held the menu a confused look came over his face. He could read just fine he just had never heard of anything on this menu. He turned it over wondering if he was holding it upside down but that seemed to make it worse. Alekis didn't want to leave the food smelled amazing but he didn't want to order the wrong thing. Looking around at the other patrons his eyes landed on the kid across from him. Smiling again he leaned forward. "Hi there, umm. Can you read this menu? I don't know what this stuff is? " who knew that a simple question would lead to an adventure for two young boys in a small restaurant in Magnolia City,

Verrin craned his neck to look at the guy who had asked the question. He looked over him a bit before shrugging. Not everyone understood other cultures quite like an Ostheim, he supposed. Almost immediately after, he shuddered at the thought. When did he start thinking of himself like that again? He put a hand on his weapon, which was leaned lazily against the table. Maybe it was when he'd made this? He shook the notion out of his head, turning his attention back to the other blond teen.

"Jeez. Just get a curry or something." he dismissed, "Don't you know that's the best kinda food there is?"

Verrin leaned back in his seat, listening to the music once more and trying his best to just enjoy himself. After a few moments, he kicked forward, leaning his body over the table. He scooped up his glass of water, taking another big swig of it before slamming the empty glass down on the table, wiping his mouth with the back of one hand. After a moment of consideration, Verrin decided he would just get dessert anyways He would likely come back in the future, and he could just make sure to tip extra well after his next job. Verrin nodded inwardly, confident that would be good enough. He started to doodle on his napkin, trying to capture his waitress' image as accurately as possible.

As he waited for the woman to show up again, he crunched patiently on the leftover ice in his glass. He smiled as the brown-haired woman approached his table with a large pitcher of water. They talked for a time culminating with Verrin asking for a few balls of rasgulla with a smile and a thank-you. It wasn't long before the teen had a nice little plate before him, happily digging in to the sweet, syrupy dessert.

((OoC: Sorry this took so long. Been kinda crazy the last few days. Wont happen again.))

Alekis stared at him for a moment more than turned back to the menu as the waitress came back. Almost immediately Alekis locked up as the pretty waitress asked for his order. Hands shaking, his.face turning crimson as he moved his mouth but no words came out. Closing his eyes he.concentrated on just his words. "Umm, I'll have the ugh..ignnhg...curry and umm...uhh...Ale." the waitress stared at him like he lost his mind before walking back to the kitchen. Free of her presence his crippling shyness vanished. Which involved his forehead hitting the table as he took several deep breaths. He hated this flaw but he couldn't control it at all which just made it worse.

The sound of high heels clicking on woode made Alekis close his eyes as the waitress delivered his food with a steaming half loaf of bread. Nodding in her direction he waited for her to leave before opening his eyes to the meal. The steam coming off the curry was evidence it was hot. However he wasn't ready for the spicy lava he shoved in his mouth that made sweat drip from his brow. Grabbing his ale he chugged away at the cold drink as water dripped from his eyes. Placing his cup down he panted as he waved cold air on his tongue. Geez this stuff could be used for torture. Staring at the bowl filled with the super spicy food. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath. He ordered it so he would eat every bit.

Raising his cup for a refill he tucked in, eating hearty as he used the bread as a tongue cooler. The soup slowly vanishing bit by bit as tears and sweat dripped down his face from the intense heat. Finally he scooped out the last bite with his bread then chugged his ale down to the ice cubes which he shoved inside his mouth. Looking up at the other kid he tried to figure out if the kid just loved this lava or if it had been a prank. Either would have been possible. Alekis just hoped it was the former for the curry was delicious just super hot. Sitting back he relaxed as he sucked on the ice cubes.

Verrin couldn't help but chuckle at the blond kid at the next table. It was clear just by watching him that he was having trouble stomaching the food. Some people just can't handle spicy food. Oh well~! Not Verrin's problem. Still, though, he kind of felt bad for the guy, having recommended the dish for him. In the end, though, it seemed like the kid was managing, slowly slogging his way through the entire contents of the bowl and finishing every last drop like a regular. Considering how quickly he was chugging his drink, that was... fairly admirable, in Verrin's eyes. Commitment, that was something he had a hard time coming across these days... Marshall had up and vanished on him out of nowhere, and that Fauron guy was little more than a speck on the horizon at this point.

"Well, seems like you finally made it." Verrin joked,"I take it you don't eat spicy much, huh?"

Verrin shrugged, Maybe all that stuff about commitment was a bit much to assume based on a bowl of curry... but it still wasn't a bad thought. Besides, he needed to find someone else to travel with, and what better way to do that then by making new friends, right? Leaving behind the last rasgulla on his plate next to his precariously placed weapon and the contents of his wallet, Verrin dragged the chair through the small space between their tables. Spinning it around, Verrin plopped down eagerly in the backwards facing chair, having invited himself to the other blond boy's table. He stuck a hand out to the teen before introducing himself.

"Name's Verrin." He beamed, "Amateur boxer, professional odd-jobber. What about you, huh?"

Alekis looked over and smiled back at his question and gave a slight shake of his head. "Nothing ever that spicy but it was delicious. Gonna have to leave a big tip for that waitress." he watched as the young man pulled his chair over and offered a hand and name. Alekis took it and smiled wide. "Alekis Fulminata, nice to meet you. " the words he shot off next sounded more like a resume but he was happy to give his own. "Black belt in martial arts, professional getting lost and semi odd-jobber myself." Alekis felt relieved to have someone to talk too, since Rusia had went his own way as a soldier, Alekis had been alone. He missed Rusia but he had no doubts he see him again one day.

Looking back at Verrin he gave a slight tilt of his head. "You traveling alone? " not a question he normally ask but an odd jobber should probably have a partner in case things got wild. But then again maybe this kid was some sort of magical prodigy with enough firepower to take out a city. It was hard to tell with people when it came to Magic. Snapping out of his own thoughts he resumed focus back on the kid sitting across from him. "I like your weapon, I've never seen anything like it."

"Alekis Fulminata, nice to meet you."

Alekis, eh? Well, it's as good a name as any, Verrin supposed, and a far sight better than the moniker he'd come up with for himself. Verrin could feel Eisenvogel stirring in his jacket pocket, apparently not very happy with all the sudden noise and movement. Normally, the tiny bird was completely content with sleeping in Verrin's pocket, but it seemed right now, he wanted to come out and say "Hi" himself! Given that Alekis was just asking about any possible traveling companions, it was probably the best timing that Verrin could have asked for.

"Not alone, well, I mean... Not entirely." he said, producing the small metal bird from his coat, "I've got Vogel with me, too~!"

Eisenvogel chirped cheerfully in Verrin's hand, hopping from the center of his palm to the edge of his fingers. He eyed Alekis for a moment before turning around, hopping along Verrin's arm until he found his familiar perch on top of the young man's shoulder, digging his tiny claws into Verrin's jacket, and further, leaving little bloody pinholes in the youth's skin. Verrin tried his best not to wince, but, in hindsight, must have failed horribly. Alekis seemed to be onto a different subject, though, remarking on Verrin's weapon, Inkheart. The young boxer chuckled appreciatively.

"Yeah." he mused, "Designed and built it myself~! One of the smiths let me use his forge for it!"

"But if you like it now, ooh~! You should feel it in your hands! So satisfying!"

Verrin crossed over to his table, quickly grabbing the weapon and, almost as a side-note, popping the last rasgulla into his mouth, licking the sugary syrup off his fingers before returning to Alekis' table. He seemed about ready to show off the heft and weight of the weapon with a mighty swing, but seemingly thought better of it, upon catching a nervous glance from one of the nearby staff. He chuckled a bit before setting the weapon down carefully, shrugging to Alekis.

"Well, I mean... We can't really do that here, can we?" he chuckled, "But I tell ya , you've gotta give it a try!"

He scratched his chin for a moment, then quickly added, "We'd have to go outside the city. Last time I swung a weapon around in town I nearly got arrested for my trouble."
