Account Name: Yuan Shisho
 ~Reks~
Profile Name: Alexander "Reks" Moriarty Age: 28 Gender: Male Height: 6'2"
| Weight: 190 lbs Class: D Affiliation: Neutral
|
Appearance Reks has been described as a young man with a decidedly curious look to him. This description has dual meanings. Reks looks a bit odd even for a mage. He is constantly seen with countless trinkets and doodads. Odds and ends that seem random and meaningless to the average person. He usually has several of these trinkets dangling from his belts or neck or wrists as well. Curious also describes Reks's personality. He is always interested in finding things he is not supposed to find, going places where he is not supposed to go and generally searching out things that are lost or hidden. It is common to see Reks walking along the street studying one of his newly-found trinkets. Thus people describe him as appearing "curious".
Physical Description: Reks is tall and thin with long arms and legs. He has relatively average muscle mass. His face appears relatively young for his age. Reks's two oddest features are his white hair and yellow eyes. People often comment that Reks's young face and white hair clash in a rather interesting way, and his yellow eyes remind some of cats, though his pupils are not slitted like a feline. Reks has been described as handsome by some, and just plain weird by others. If you ask Reks, he'll say that he doesn't care much. To many people Reks has the appearance of a lonely scholar or secluded scientist perhaps. His hair is often disheveled, and he is frequently walking around looking at books or maps or some new trinket he has discovered. People are often surprised to find that he is a fairly skilled mage.
Clothing: Reks bought all of his clothes with utility purposes in mind. Pockets for storing things and belts for hanging things off of his person are a major part of his ensemble. This was originally to accommodate all of the items and trinkets that he would collect. Since gaining his magic, he no longer needs all the storage, but he likes to maintain the appearance that he is used to, and he still uses the pockets and belts quite a bit anyway. He is constantly seen with countless trinkets and doodads. Odds and ends that seem random and meaningless to the average person.
Accessories: Reks is a collector of numerous items and accessories. He is frequently seen wearing jewelry, odd clothing items, has trinkets dangling from his belt, beads or charms hang tied in his hair and so on. Due to the nature of his magic (and his curiosity and short attention span), the accessories he wears are always changing.

|
Personality As stated before, Reks is curious, to the point that one could call it a fault. Whenever someone locks or hides something away, Reks desires to find it and know what it is. When someone closes a door or seals a place, Reks wants to get in and see what is there. Reks has an undying thirst for what he calls "treasure". Reks's so-called "treasure" usually ends up being odds and ends that seem less than important to most people. Sometimes these cravings end in nothing but disappointment, but Reks has an uncanny ability to find things with an uncommon air about them. Still, many times Reks's itch to go to and reach for things he is not supposed to get him in all kinds of trouble. Reks usually gets along pretty well with other people. His neighbors describe him as a kind young man, but a bit of a pack-rat who pays a bit to much attention to books and junk rather than the world. This is probably because when he is home he tends to walk around reading books or maps and sometimes walks into walls or small bodies of water without realizing it. When working with allies, Reks tends to be quite friendly, though he will sometimes say rude things, apparently without realizing it. Sometimes it seems as though he were speaking his thoughts aloud without realizing. Reks has an abnormally strong dislike for the Knights of Fiore. Whenever in the presence of Knights, Reks becomes quite dour and grim.
History
History Alexander Moriarty was born to a wealthy family in the central portion of the Fiore Kingdom. His parents were both skilled archaeologists and historians. They developed their fortune by privately excavating numerous historical sites around the kingdom for a price. The Moriartys were famous for their work in archaeology and many of their discoveries were housed in the largest museums of Fiore. Numerous books on the history of the Fiore Kingdom and the surrounding areas were published based on the work of the Moriartys, and they were widely respected amongst the nobility of the kingdom.
Alexander was raised in an atmosphere of education and comfort. His parents frequently took him on archaeological excursions and he spent half of his childhood exploring ancient temples and palaces along with other historical sites. Alexander loved going on what he called "Treasure Hunts" with his family and finding rare and valuable artifacts.
When he was 18 Alexander was enrolled at St. Vincent's Academy, where his family had been students for several generations. The Moriartys had even made significant contributions over the years to their alma mater and several departments and a library had been named after the Moriarty family by the time Alexander began attending. He was treated as a bit of a celebrity at the school and was very popular among the student body. Alexander enrolled in the History program at the school where he excelled. He planned to take over the family business and become a famous archaeologist when he graduated.
As stated, the Moriarty family had been on the rise for several generations and was viewed as an equal to the noble families of the kingdom. But the Moriarty family had a dark secret. In truth, much of their fortune was gained through illegal means. The Moriartys gathered innumerable and priceless artifacts throughout their careers, and in truth, only a small percentage of these artifacts made it to museums the kingdom's historical societies. Most of the treasures found by the Moriartys made their way onto the black market and were sold to the highest bidder. The Moriarty Family was secretly know as the kingpins of the antiquities black market. Smuggling, bribery, theft, possession of stolen goods, transportation of stolen goods, even armed robberies and assaults, the family was in truth a criminal organization of the highest caliber.
This level of criminal activity did not go unnoticed by the authorities of the Fiore Kingdom. When Alexander was 20 years old and still enrolled at St. Vincent's academy the law finally came crashing down around the heads of the Moriarty Family. Local law enforcement heavily supported by the Knights of Fiore raided the home and offices of the Moriarty Family. Large scale battles ensued as the Crime Family resisted and attempted escape. The largest battle took place at the Moriarty Family home where the Knights of Fiore engaged in battle against the Family's strongest mages. The Moriarty Family estate was largely destroyed. Alexander's parents were reportedly killed in the raid.
The Moriarty Family Crime Syndicate was eradicated in one day. The surviving members were arrested and incarcerated. Alexander was arrested as well, but investigations showed that he was underage during the time in which he was exposed to the family's criminal undertakings, and by the time he had come of age, he had been enrolled in St. Vincent's academy. It was decided by the court that Alexander could not have had any significant hand in the Moriarty Family's criminal activities. In reality this wasn't far from the truth. Alexander had always been aware of his family's criminal activities, but he had remained neutral in this situation. Alexander had declined to take part in the family's criminal enterprises, but he had known about them. In truth, Alexander didn't care that his family was a criminal organization. He loved going out and hunting rare and valuable treasures, no matter whether they wound up in a museum or in some private collection. He had known from an early age that the possibility existed that his family could be destroyed for their illegal activities. When it finally happened, it hurt Alexander, but he accepted it.
With his family destroyed and their fortune seized by the kingdom, Alexander had nowhere to go. He returned to St. Vincent's Academy, but dropped out shortly afterwards. It was impossible for Alexander to return to his normal school life when all of the student body and even the faculty viewed him as some sort of infamous criminal. His family's name had been removed from anywhere and everywhere on campus, and likewise he decided to remove himself.
Alexander had studied Magic alongside History and Archaeology at St. Vincent's academy, and he continued his studies in private out in the real world. Alexander took up the nickname "Reks" to achieve some level of anonymity in his travels. He kept the last name Moriarty however. Reks didn't hate the law enforcement of the kingdom for taking down his family. As stated before, he had known that it was an inevitable eventuality. Reks did, however, develop a strong dislike for the Knights of Fiore. He didn't understand why the military forces of the Kingdom of Fiore had been involved in the take-down of his family. He figured that the military or some other group within the kingdom had wanted to get their hands on his family's fortune. That was the only reason he could figure for such strong military involvement in his family's downfall which resulted in his parents' deaths. Reks didn't plan to go after revenge on the Knights, but there was certainly no love lost between Reks and the Knights.-

Skills & Disciplines
That which is Hidden: Reks has a sort of 6th sense one might say. His never-ending thirst for Treasure and his curious nature make him keenly aware of the surrounding location. Reks can almost always pick out the most likely location of any hidden treasures in any place he visits. Experience in infiltrating tombs and vaults and other treasure troves has also led Reks to gain a keen ability to perceive hidden dangers like non-magical traps.
That which is Secret: Reks's curious nature makes him very aware of the people around him in any location. Some people would call this situational awareness. Others would call it a suspicious nature. Either way, Reks has an uncanny ability to scry out people directing ill will towards himself or his allies.
That which is Barred: With all of his experience searching out hidden treasures, Reks has gained a rather impressive skill in lock-picking and safe cracking. Reks can open most doors, vaults, and any other locks that aren't magically enchanted are fairly straightforward for Reks.
Kick-Boxing: Due to his being raised in a family of criminals, Reks was required to learn to fight to defend himself. He learned kick-boxing, as he found it to be the most practical and straightforward form of physical combat that was available for him to learn. While Reks may never be referred to as any sort of "master", he has a very strong foundation in the martial art.
Weaponry: Due to his being raised in a family of criminals, Reks was required to learn the basics of armed combat. Reks learned a decent foundation in most melee weaponry. He's no master, but he knows how to use most weapons.
Marksmanship: Due to his being raised in a family of criminals, Reks was required to learn how to handle a gun. Reks is a quite a decent shot and has significant experience in most forms of ranged weaponry.
Magic Magic Name: Treasure Hunt Magic Type: Exquip Tier of Magic: Tier 1 Rank: 2 Magic Description: Treasure Hunt is a branch of the Exquip magic family. Whereas most Exquip mages use their magic to store endless supplies of melee weapons, ranged weapons, or defensive items like shields and armor effectively using their magic as an armory. Treasure Hunt uses the Exquip magic as a treasury or collection. The user stores enchanted items. Enchanted items hold their own magic and the correct usage of these items can prove highly effective at accomplishing a multitude of tasks. This is the strength of Treasure Hunt. The weakness lies in the fact that Treasure Hunt cannot create it's own magic techniques. It relies on the user's ability to find and acquire enchanted items. Such items must be sought out and usually purchased or otherwise acquired through difficult means.

Techniques: 2/3
Access Vault - (2) Type: Requip Range: Self Effect: The user can change to another piece of equipment by sending equipment to and summoning equipment from their pocket dimension. A single requip use is capable of swapping one full set/suit of armour and a weapon pair for another (i.e. a sword and shield, a bow, two claws, a sword and a handgun, etc.). After changing arsenal there is a 3 post cool down.

This profile is complete and ready for checking if someone could move it to the checking area. The only part that is missing is the Weapons/Items which I plan on creating separately in the Item creation section in order to expedite my profile checking.

Yo. Nice job with this one though a few things will have to change:
-this goes for your clothing and physical description. They could be longer but the paragraph you have above them include lines that belong in both those two sections so you'd meet the criteria pretty easily if you put pieces of that paragraph under the two separate sections.
-Your personality could use a bit more flushing. I get that he likes to collect things, but I'm sure there's more to him then that. How does he get along with others? What doe he like? What does he dislike? What're his pet peeves? His fears?
-For your skill "that which is secret" I'll let it slide since it's borderline magic but still isn't really. Just please make sure you aren't godmodding with this, since it'd be impossible for you to detect everybody who wants to do you harm with out even seeing them or at least expecting them to be there.
other wise this looks good
