Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

"Nah, it won't kill him." Sachio said, responding to Anister's question. "Although I wouldn't care if it did. We have other things to deal with now it seems." The Boulder's agonizing screams continued, although not as loud. The poor man was running out of steam. Blair had finished her food and began leaping down from the stands. She didn't care if she hit people on the way down. She landed on the arena floor and walked over to Sachio's side. "Glad you decided to join us. What did you think of the situation?" Sachio asked his partner. "Magical experiments? I suppose an even like this would indeed supply whoever is doing this with willing participants. They certainly did get stronger." Sachio nodded in agreement. "Suppose we should go ahead and investigate inside?" Sachio was about finished with the whole Colosseum at this point. The group started walking toward the tunnel they entered from. Before they reached it, a figure walked out and blocked their path. They were dressed in a black leather outfit consisting of pants, a vest, and a coat. Their hair was just as black as their clothes, and they wore a black halfmask to cover their face. They looked quite sinister.

"You broke my toys. I worked so hard to make them." The person said. They sounded male, with a soft but clearly annoyed voice. "Now I will break you and turn you into the next batch." The man then fired a large bright red blast that landed in front of the group and exploded. It must have been some sort of fire magic, because Sachio felt the heat of the attack as he was thrown backwards. He hit the ground quite hard, but the blast itself hurt far more than the landing. Sachio looked over and saw Blair had put on her armor in time to reduce the force of the attack. Still, she landed next to him on the ground but got up rather quickly. Sachio wished he hadn't gotten rid of his armor so soon. To make matters worse, Sachio's mist had cleared out, meaning the spell was over. He was going to have to use some other spells in this fight, but based on the strength difference in their magic, he wondered how useful it would actually be.

Sachio used his spear to help himself up. "Gah. Alright then. This is more like it." Sachio said as he dusted himself off. At least this random guy would be more of a challenge than anything he has fought lately. Sachio wanted to see a bit more of the man's techniques before he started the fight, so he lined up a toss and let his spear fly. It was aimed straight for the man's face, but he didn't move at all. Before the spear hit him, it bounced off a barrier and fell harmlessly to the ground. The barrier shattered at least, which man the man have a flash of irritation on this face. That was all Sachio needed to know. He called his spear back to his hand and knew that this fight was going to be won.

Same ol’ Sachio, Anister let out a bit of sigh after the younger man had admitted that killing the loudmouth wouldn’t have caused him the tiniest bit of worry. Sure the guy was a gnat that deserved to have his teeth knocked in on a regular basis, but death? Luckily it wouldn’t matter, his screams were dying down into low, painful sobs. A little bit of poison scarring wouldn’t do him any harm in the long run. Anister wasn’t sure what it was that Sachio was talking about, he was on vacation the only thing he wanted to deal with was getting a tan and something manly, yet still fruity, to drink. The big guy looked around the field, the poison mist was lifting to reveal a fairly bloody sight. Dead monsters lay all over the arena, off to a corner Anister caught a glimpse of a torn and bloodied shirt and tage started to boil again. That damn shirt had cost him 10,000 jewels.

Blair had made her way over to them by the time Anister was done brooding over his lost shirt, it was like people didn’t even care that it was made out of only the finest synthetic polyesters, at least that’s how the guy who sold it to him had described it. Once Blair and Sacho had got done discussing what was going on Anister was ready to rip his own hair out, every single time he ran into these two it was like trouble just seemed to jump out of nowhere! Being fair the trouble the first time around was definitely his fault, and the second time was zombies and he had taken the job willingly, but this time he was going to blame them. Anister kept his mouth closed but once they mentioned investigating inside he formulated his escape plan. He would simply follow them in and then leave without saying anything, sure it would be rude, next time he saw them he would simply play it off like his wounds got the better of him.

As the moved towards the tunnel they came in though his dreams came crashing down. An oddly dressed halloween looking freak stepped out from the tunnel and into the light of the arena only to immediately accuse them of of breaking his toys. If the toys were what Anister feared they were then he figured the halloween freak was about to crush his escape plan. He balled his fists, he didn’t waste time reaching for the heavy cleaver that was no longer with him, he’d learned his lesson the first time. His right and slid behind his back to the knife Sachio had leant him, he felt a fight coming.

Well, it was a fight, but Anister hadn’t figured it would take the form of some kind of fire blast or something. As the ball of light hit the ground in front of them Anister brought his arms up to brace himself, the force of the impact threw him backwards and onto his back, he was getting used to being knocked down at this point. He didn’t waste time, he used the momentum of his roll to prop himself onto a knee and watch for the next attack. It didn’t come immediately. Sachio tossed his weapon in a futile effort only to have it return to his hand as if it were connected by some string. Anister really needed to get one of those. Anister had just noticed that the crowd was roaring with excitement at the prospect of another show, he really hated them now.

Anister started by creating some separation between him and Sachio, running to the left. With the man standing just in front of the tunnel he had left himself exposed to the whole of the arena, by swinging to the left he’d be able to attempt a blindside attack if Sachio drew his attention. Anister sure did love this plan, too bad he was pretty sure he’d get blown up by the mask wearing weirdo.

A sly grin spread across Sachio's face as he say Anister try to flank the leather wearing man. He was glad Anister knew how to handle himself. Unfortunately, the person they were facing wasn't going to let that happen. A fireball was shot at Anister, but Sachio threw his spear to intercept the blast before it hit his friend. The only thing Anister would feel was a blast of hot air as the two projectiles collided. Sachio ran forward toward the man and called Misery's End back to his hand. The spear evaporated and reappeared in Sachio's right hand just before he had jumped and thrust downward to hit the man in the chest. The attack had indeed caught him by surprise and hit as intended. The pointed weapon didn't pierce the man though, but instead sent him stumbling backward and holding the place where he was hit. "Since you insist on weapons, fine." The man drew a pitch black curved sword that resembled a softer curved scimitar. Sachio shrunk Misery's End to it's sword form and took up an offensive stance. "I don't mind a sword fight." Sachio said slyly. Blair had her sword drawn as well and was waiting for an opening. She was letting Sachio take the lead since he was here first.

With Ansiter on the man's left and Blair now flanking left, they pretty much had this man beat. Their opponent looked around and saw he was surrounded and frowned. "I see I am not going to win this fight. So be it. then you and the entire crowd can suffer." The man gathered his magic and was about to release it in a Colosseum wide spell. Sachio rushed the man and waited for the moment of the spell. As soon as the magic released, Sachio released his own. The man went flying backward and his spell was completely rejected by Sachio's own spell. The expulsion of Sachio's poison magic began eating at everything it touched, save for Anister, Blair, and any nearby people in the crowd. The masked man was on the ground with his armor fizzling from the poison. Sachio calmly walked over to the man and pulled him up to a sitting position by his shirt. "Care to share more about the experiments?" The man groaned but said no words about what he was asked. Sachio knew how to change that.

Anister felt the warm gust wash over him as the remnants of the fireball that had been launched at him passed over. He had been a little weirded out by that spear weapon earlier, it was something Sachio hadn’t had the first time they met, but now he was more than a little bit glad that the assassin was carrying it around. Anister kept his feet moving until he had nearly come to the wall and then started to move in. Blair had drawn a weapon and taken up position as well while Sachio had decided to go in for the attack. It looked as if the younger man had landed a clean blow against the leather wearing fire mage but it seemed to only irritate him more. He drew a dark black scimitar. Anister had seen weapons like that far to the south east but rarely anywhere else. The weapons were always wielded with a very specific style. Anister could almost picture the wide, fluid swinging motions that sword was most useful for. The blades on a scimitar tended to be heavier than other makes of sword so that even when wielded with one hand it could deflect other blades. They were nearly useless for stabbing, instead being used a bit like a cleaver in the sense that it was only swung to slash or cut, never to skewer and rarely ever used with a fine touch. The woman he had met who used the scimitar had turned it into something of a dance, putting her whole body into every swing and strike. Anister doubted the masked wearing weirdo was going to be so graceful.

The actual clash of swords never came; Ansiter had moved in close enough to hear the man concede defeat, then he could clearly feel the building of magical energy. Ansiter knew he couldn’t do anything to stop something like that and he was too far away from anything to simply run and take cover, it was on Sachio again. Had the assassin not acted so quickly the entire arena may have been killed, Anister had, for a moment, thought that perhaps the assassin would have prefered it that way. But, luckily for everyone in attendance, Sachio’s desire to be the strongest man on the field was far greater than his desire to see them all cooked. The young assassin used his own spell to stop the Fire mage and left the mask wearing man on the ground and near incapacitated.

Anister approached carefully as Sachio gripped the leather wearing mage by the front of the shirt and dragged him into a sitting position. He immediately went into questioning him about his ’experiments’, a subject Anister would have been all too happy to avoid. The big guy let out a depressed sigh as he resigned himself to the task at hand, this guy was clearly a bad dude and needed to be stopped. Also, he had tried to turn them into monsters, or even worse kill them. ”Talk fast,” Anister said as he approached them, ”Sachio here tends to use that poison to melt people into pools of decomposing muck if they don’t answer his questions.” It was a bit of an exaggeration but Anister sold it with everything he had. Sachio did like to use that poison as an interrogation tool but Anister hadn’t seen him turn anyone into muck yet, maybe it was a good time to start?

"Let me rephrase that. Tell us about the experiments." Sachio didn't have much patience to start with, but whatever he did have, was now gone. He then covered his hand in dark swirling magic. "I will just have to start melting pieces of you body off, one by one." The masked man said nothing in response. Fear tactics were not going to work on this man. Sachio placed his magic covered hand on the man's mask, which started to dissolve it. The man screamed a little when the poison touched his face, but other than that, no words came from him. Now with his mask off, his bright blue eyes could be seen. They stared at Sachio with disdain. Sachio figured the man knew he was going to die either way, so talking wasn't an option. Something that was bothering him though, was the fact that he saw the man's eyes dart to the side. No one was standing there, so what was he looking for? Sachio was a quick thinker, and had been around long enough to know that something must be up. After a moment of thinking, Sachio thought he figured it out. "You aren't alone. Of course not." Sachio dropped the man and shoved his poison covered hand on the man's throat. He made sure he injected his magic fully into the man. The resulting screams let him know it was working. Then there was silence. Not death, but silence.

If the first man didn't want to speak, then maybe he could get information out of whoever else was working with him. "Blair, anything?" Sachio said, wondering if his partner picked up any odd scents or heard anything. "A plane is getting closer, but that is about it." She responded with a shrug. Sachio looked up at the sky and frowned. Ships flying overhead was normal here. They were used for advertisement. So when a larger ship came by and stopped right over the open arena, it seem odd at first. That fact that it wasn't moving away is what caused concern. The crowd had been deathly quiet lately, as they were just watching the events intently. They were now all looking up at the ship, that was now dropping ropes. Soon after, the hatch on the ship opened and showed five more masked people standing inside, ready to slide down the ropes. Sachio wasn't dealing with any of this shit. Right when they got into range, Sachio inhaled deeply and roared towards the figures using the ropes to descend. A large stream of poison magic came from his mouth that engulfed all five of the masked people. Because of this, they all fell the rest of the way down. Dealing with them would be much easier now.

"Alright Anister. Looks like the fighting is never over."

Anister was really hoping that Sachio would get the information he needed quickly. The big guy had watched what happened to a man forced to sit in that magical poison Sachio spit out once before and it wasn’t pretty. The masked man was more than just a little resistant to talking though and Anister cringed at the thought of what Sachio would do next. He thought that perhaps the dark eyed man would create a poole of the stuff and dip the man in one limb at a time, or maybe even worse he would hand the masked man over to his cat friend Blair and she would carve him up in cat form. Anister had a healthy fear of cats. He wanted to break both his legs and scream at him until he told them what they wanted to know, after all he couldn’t gain anything but a little bit of time, or at least that was Anisters first thought.

Sachio broke Anister’s worry by announcing almost completely unsolicited that the man hadn’t been working alone. Sure it made sense, if he was getting trained fighters and turning them into monsters it was natural to believe that he would have some help doing that, but why would that even matter? Ansiter couldn’t make out what Blair said but he did follow her eyes as she quickly located the flying contraption high in the sky. Anister hadn’t paid any attention to what had been flying above them this whole time, in fact he hadn’t even seen anything like it in his entire life. To think that someone could inflate an oversized balloon and then fly around, he made a mental note to make that his new mode of transportation.

His excitement and wonder didn’t last long. The airship quickly opened hatches and rope fell from the sky followed quickly by people clad in black similar to the man lying on the ground behind them. Anister readied himself for another fight by gripping the knife again and getting ready to charge them as they landed, he didn’t know if they were all as strong as the fireball guy but he didn’t want to find out. Before they had even made it to the ground Sachio had stepped up and released a loud, almost inhuman roar. Poison erupted forcefully from the younger man and engulfed the leather clad people as they were coming down the rope, while some held on longer than others all of them came tumbling to the ground with hard, audible thuds. Anister knew what that meant.

The large man began to move forward, Sachio had taken them off their feet and now was their chance to end it before things got out of hand. Anister cleared the space in eight long strides, he wasn’t even paying attention to see if Sachio or Blair had followed. All the big guy could think about was how powerful the once leather clad man on his own had been, sure it was nothing for Sachio to take him on but Anister wasn’t like him, he needed any advantage he could get. As he neared the first person they were still attempting to get to their feet, he lashed out hard with the dagger attempting to plant it deep in his targets ribcage, but the blade stopped before it ever found it’s mark.

It wasn’t as if it was deflected by normal means, or at least nothing Ansiter could visibly see, no it was almost like Anister had run into a wall a few inches away from the person’s body. As he struggled with the knife his target rebounded and spun wildly to release a powerful kick that planted firmly in his muscled chest. The blow sent him tumbling backwards, this time there was no nifty roll to prop himself back to his feet, Anister simply laid there and struggled to catch his breath.

He really hated hanging out with Sachio, it always ended with him battered, broken, and bleeding.

It was always amusing to Sachio to see how Anister was ready to fight. Granted, it never ended well for the big man. He was going to have to train his friend one of these days. If he was going to keep running into the man, he might as well make him more useful. Sachio shook his head and extended his sword back into spear form. With five enemies and open space, his spear was going to be perfect to use. Blair had already rushed in, cleaver drawn, and swinging at the nearest person. Both of her hands were on the handled, which meant she was going straight for chopping them in half. A smile was on her face as she swung. She must have been bored before. With a sigh, Sachio took a strong step forward and launched his spear at the person Anister had attacked. It flew threw the air and impaled the masked person through the chest. These people were not on the same level as the first masked man. This wasn't going to take long at all for them.

Sachio walked forward slowly and called his spear back into his hands. As he came forward, the three masked people that weren't busy dying, began launching magic at him. Orbs of various elements came at Sachio, threatening to destroy him. A small smirk crossed his face as the same explosion of poison came from the man. The wave of black poison destroyed the oncoming spells and washed over the five masked people. The screams of agony filled the air as the poison burned at their bodies. Sachio, not being completely greedy, singled out the one that resisted the spell the best. He made his way to them nonchalantly and shoved them toward Anister. "Sharing is caring." He said with a laugh.

The person Blair was fighting had taken a few slashes, but was still putting up a fight. Ice kept forming around the masked person as Blair hacked away gracefully. She was having fun with her opponent. She could have killed them many times over, but watching them struggle and continue to fight on was funny to her. Plus, she was bored. The masked person continued to back up as the slashes kept coming. After a final downward chop, Blair separated her weapon so that she could use the katana. The reason being, because the masked person had tripped over the person who died from the spear toss. Blair merely stepped over the body and plunged her sword into the masked person's chest. More blood pooled on the ground beneath the bodies. Part of the crowd had began leaving, as they did not want to witness this death. Unfortunately, murdering people in a big city isn't really the smartest thing to do. Sachio had a feeling the knights would understand the situation somewhat, but he knew that apprehension was coming eventually.

With two enemies dead, one getting up and coming at Anister with two small daggers, and two more coming at Sachio finally, things were coming to an end here. The three remaining people knew that they weren't going to get out of this alive.

Anister had had the wind knocked out of him so many times now that he wondered if it would cause permanent damage at some point, probably not. He lifted his chin to look down his chest even before he’d managed to refill his lungs. He’d learned a long time ago that when someone landed on their back in a fight the opponent almost always tried to capitalize, this opponent was a little on the slow side. Before his attacker had even made it Anister was able to catch his breath and ready for what was coming, he didn’t waste time getting to his feet right then and instead rolled his weight back to his shoulders, placed his hands over his head, and propelled his lower body into the gut of the person charging him with daggers. It was like no one had ever taught these people how to actually use their weapons before.

Anister hurried to his feet after his blow had driven his target to a knee of their own. If they were any good with those blades they wouldn’t have charged him so recklessly in the first place, but then again it’s not like any person in their right mind would charge the poison spitting weirdo so Ansiter had to concede that he was the more reasonable target. He readied himself, Sachio’s blade in his right hand. Once the masked attacker regained composure their attack was on, fluid strike parried by a quick twitch from Anister only to realize he needed to escape before the second blade landed. Once or twice during the exchange anister was able to predict the movement and black at his targets wrist or elbow, but those were few and far between and before long Anister had a few dagger cuts along his forearms.

If Sachio had been anyone else he would have stepped in and ended it quickly, but he was like the cat who wanted to watch the mouse struggle a bit before he ate it at times, Anister didn’t really mind. He was going to need to face worse foe’s than what was standing in front of him, how could he hope to avenge his family if he couldn’t even deal with an off the job wannabe dominatrix with a dagger fetish. Anister slapped down a lazy strike with his left hand and forced his opponent to parry a strike of his own. Anister took this opportunity to step in, use his superior strength to block his targets right arm, and then he used his head. Literally.

Anister could feel the spot on his forehead aching almost right away, the adrenalin pumping through his veins wasn’t helping at all. Through the pain he was smiling, the limp body of his target was lying on the ground in front of him. He’d always felt like he was hard headed, always good to put a theory to the test. Anister kicked the unconscious body twice for good measure before making his way to Sachio and Blair. ”That’s grade A using your head right there.” Anister gloated as he rubbed the quickly lumping spot on his forehead. ”Really though, can't we ever just get together, talk about the game, maybe drink a few beers without a bunch of bodies around?"

The courage to continue fighting a losing battle was always amusing to Sachio. Almost every person he has killed, had fought to the death. Some people called that pride or honor. Sachio called it stupidity. There was no point in dying when you could run away and live to fight another day. Maybe that made him a coward, but he would rather be alive than have honor and death. That honor won't do you any good when you are in the ground. With a sigh, Sachio smacked the including dark orb with his spear. It was a weak spell and dissipated upon contact. "It's two versus one. I believe in you." He said mockingly, standing his ground and letting the two people left approach him. The other masked person that didn't have dark magic, was wielding a staff that was black as their outfits. That was intriguing. Sachio wanted to have a spear and staff fight. "I changed my mind. I want to fight staff person." He said, and threw his spear at the dark magic user. Like the others, the spear impaled them, killed them, and then Sachio called his spear back to him. The staff user didn't seem to thrilled with the idea after seeing Sachio murder his accomplices.

Blair was just watching at this point. She had killed one of them already and would have liked to fight another, but Sachio had already gotten rid of everyone else aside from Anister's. She frowned as she watched Sachio fight the staff user. She just thought to herself how she would have ended the fight so much quicker if it was her fighting. Based on how she played with the person she killed, that probably wasn't the most accurate statement.

Sachio let the staff wielder take the offensive. Their weapons clashed in a flurry of thrusts and spins. Sachio easily kept up with his opponent and was starting to frustrate them. Sachio retaliated with a few blunt strikes, further teasing the staff user. As the welts continued to spread, so did the anger of the man. Sachio was disappointed in their level of skill and figured it was about time to finish them. The fight only lasted around a minute. Sachio turned clockwise while the spear was close to his body. As he made his way back to facing the enemy, he extended the spear. The motion cut straight through the man's neck and took his head clean off. The staff wielder dropped to the ground and that was that.

"I don't really want to clean this up. I say our time here is up. The crowd knows the story. It's a big city. It's no longer our job to investigate this shit. We are out of here." Sachio said to Anister. Blair nodded in agreement. They had done more than enough already. "A few beers doesn't sound like a bad idea. Before we leave, wanna go get some food and drinks?" Sachio asked with a smirk.

Anister could almost picture Sachio in a dark room, bathing in the blood of his enemies like some weird vampire out of a horror story. The assassin already had the dark eyes, all he needed now was the aptitude to drink blood and he would be pretty much there. Anister smiled a bit at that thought, he was a bit too harsh on the guy, after all he didn’t start the fight, Sachio just tended to finish fights with spectacular amounts of bloodshed. At least the decapitation thing wasn’t super common. The crowd, or at least whatever crowd that hadn’t already run for the exits, was screaming or sobbing, likely completely unaccustomed to the real life bloodshed that they had all just been treated to. Why there wasn’t a huge security force already filling the arena was a bit perplexing to Anister, was there no such thing as a police force in Fiore?

Anister didn’t find Sachio’s offer of food and drink to be made in good taste. Here they were standing in the remains of of their most recent enemies, Anister cut up and battered, Sachio even nicked a bit, and he wanted to go get some food and maybe a beer. Anister laughed out loud for a moment, ”Your timing is really not so good.” Anister had actually managed a smile at this point. ”I’ll tell you what Sachio, we can go get drinks some other time, for now I think I might need a few stitches.” the big guy awkwardly pointed to his back. He probably didn’t need stitches but he did need to clean his wounds and go buy a new shirt. ”I think we should go our separate ways from here though, the authorities should be showing up soon and I don’t have the time to be detained. So, till our next bloodbath then my friend?” Anister didn’t bother trying to shake the man’s hand and instead put two fingers up to his forehead and waved them off as a sign of respect before tossing the knife in his right hand back to Sachio. ”And thanks for the knife.”

Anister didn’t use the tunnel, instead he pulled some seeds, planted his hand in the ground, and then allowed the momentum to aid a leap into the stands. If there were people waiting for them they would wait in the tunnel, Ansiter wanted no part of that. He grabbed a muscled man who was trying to get out, smacked him alongside the temple and then proceeded to take the now unconscious man’s shirt before finally making his way to the exit. He would bleed through it pretty quickly but in the rush exodus it was likely no one was paying that close of attention to anyone fleeing, so all the big guy had to do was fit in as best he could and follow them out.

He smiled as he passed the final exit, no trouble whatsoever. He thought for a moment about whether or not he would ever see Sachio and Blair and not end up having to kill someone, he shrugged the thought off as he walked from the Arena.
