Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Varriden sat by himself in one of the seats near the back of the train, gazing idly out the window at the scenery passing by outside the window. The forest had been the main backdrop for some time, but now....honestly, it was still there, but withdraw, the rocks nearby having claimed a bigger chunk of the landscape. What had been a thriving forest have given way to a canyon of sorts, which meant the train wasn't too far from its destination.

Varriden was headed to Oshibana, which was known for being a place that was passed through more than it was a place to visit for its own sake. Unfortunately, it had gotten a reputation for being a bit on the seedier side beneath the surface. In some ways, it was like a cleaner version of the Dandelion Sector, which was a slum outright. Not sure if I would prefer someone being nice to my face while trying to rob me, or someone who just tried to steal my stuff from the get-go, Varriden thought. At least in the latter case, I can draw my sword on the spot and deal with the situation. The former requires more planning.

Varriden himself was actually heading for the town itself, though, not anywhere else. His interest wasn't so much anyone or thing in the main part of the town, but something that was once outside it - the ruins of the guild Eisenwald. Much like Ghoul Spirit, the guild was gone and the hall in ruins, though this guild hall was said to not have fared as well as Ghoul Spirit had. Whereas Ghoul Spirit had the surrounding town for some degree of shelter, Eisenwald's hall was exposed to the winds and weather fully in this green-less area, and had almost completely collapsed. Maybe there's still some underground room or something to be explored, Varriden thought, thinking on what he might be able to glean from the ruins.

Marilyn was now regretting her decision for stopping over at Oshibana. She thought there migt be some kind of a black market in here. But all she found were bargained goods that even fake diamonds were of more value. She wanted to curse herself to the next century for making such decision. She was even annoyed by a merchant who troed to fool her with a fake diamond. He had no idea how keen her eyes on diamond. Marilyn would know if it was fake or not with just a single look. She was now walking through the streets of this damned town. People turned to her as her clothing were kindmof unusal in this place. She didn't even see a single women dressed properly as her. Poor town. Poor women who don't have have the same fashion sense that she has.

She stopped in front of an old shop as something caught her eyes. Marilyn looked at a window and found herself staring at a newly sewn dress. It was pink. Sexy. It would show off more of her chest though the skirt didn't have a single slit. But the fish tail style still looks good. Wondering how much the dress could cost, she entered the said shop. A bell rang somewhere inside and a lady greeted her from the counter. "Good day ma'am, would you like to buy some dress?" She asked. "Oh yes. I saw that pink dress in front. I was wondering if I could find something like thay within the racks." Marilyn inquired. The lady gestured to a rack of some shabby dresses that was a hit decades ago. But now, it would look lik Granny's sunday's best when she was still her age.

"Ew!" She said as she looked through the rack and found dresses much horrible than the ones she already came by. Wrinkling her nose in disgust, she approached the lady in the counter. "I'm sorry. But I cannot find the dress I was looking for. But I want to buy that dress in the window." Marilyn asked earnestly. "I'm so sorry ma'am but that was only for display."[/color] Marilyn then turned her tone into a dangerous one. "Perhaps you haven't heard me right. I want that dress for myself." Sne insisted. The two of them then started a staring game as Marilyn stared daggers at the lady running the boutique.

Varriden was still peering out the window when the landscape gave way to buildings and more civilized structures. Guess we're about to arrive in Oshibana, Varriden thought. He would have prepared his things for the departure, but he didn't have much to prep, honestly - the only things he kept around on his travels were his sword, his staff, and his magic, and the latter kept itself tucked away inside his head, and the other two were already criss-crossed on his back, securely held there so he could draw them in a moment's notice if the need arose.

The train slowly pulled into the station and came to a stop with a loud hiss and a blast of its whistle to announce its arrival. Thankfully, there were staff to keep people back until those on the train had disembarked, so Varriden didn't have to fight his way through a crowd just to get off the train, though he did have to wait briefly as other people filed past, as he didn't want to just shove his way into the line - everyone was getting off the train. Not because this was everyone's final destination, but that reason was twofold - one, this area was passed through alot on the way to other places, and two, the train tracks literally ended here, so it was impossible to go farther by train if you intended to continue pressing forward across the map.

Varriden wandered along the main street of the town, glancing at the various shops - it wasn't why he was here, but the selection wasn't as terrible as one might think for a place that was closer to the far edge of the map in some respects. He did glance around briefly outside one shop - not because any of its wares interested him, as he had no desire to don a dress - but because he saw a woman arguing with a shopkeep who clearly seemed interested in trying to sell them something else than what they wanted, judging by the slightly awkward look on the clerk and the rather irritated one on the girl. I feel sorry for the lady behind the counter, but it's not my business, unfortunately, so it's not really proper that I butt in. Varriden thought, continuing to walk, his goal further down the street - the ruins, just barely visible in the distance.

Marilyn then tried to bribe the lady. "How much do you want?" She asked in a dangerous tone. "It's not for sale. You can't afford it even if it is." The lady insulted her. Marilyn narrowed her eyes in anger. "What did you just say? I can't afford it?" She said as she pulled out two vials from her pocket. The lady seemed to be aware that it was not good to insult the blonde customer. She was now alarmed as she saw Marilyn uncapping the vials. "What are you doing?" She panicked. The lady then smelled what was inside the vials. It turns out they were only perfumes. She then relaxed a bit, unaware of the small cloud forming above her. "Please go out and take the awful smell with you." She said, gaining confidence again.

"First, you wouldn't sell me the dress. Second, you insulted me. Third, you insulted me again. Well, the smell, you insulted it." She hissed at her. "What are you going to do? Suffocate me with that smell? You'll be doing me a favor with the clothes." The lady said, rolling her eyes. "Now, you shall feel my wrath!" Marilyn said as she looked up and saw she made a thin cloud that occupied the ceiling.

The woman look up and saw the dark clouds. "But how did...the perfume!" She said as she turned to her. "Rain Tempo!" Marilyn chanted as the cloud grumbled a bit. Bits of rain started to pour until it was pouring hard. Marilyn quickly made her way outside while the lady tried to save the clothes she's selling. "And that's what you get for insulting me!" She yelled as she went out of the shop. The lady was screaming in panic as she carried wet clothes from rack to rack.

Walking to the ruins was the plan - the whole reason he visited - but while he hadn't planned to let the conversation inside the shop waylay him, he did pause when he notice the girl draw something - like the shopkeeper, he was concerned it was something meant to cause some kind of bodily harm, but it appeared to be perfume, as the shopkeeper relaxed. Varriden did as well, but not to the same extent - one, she had only drawn those when the shopkeeper seemed to make her even more angry, and two, Varriden had seen enough potions mixed back in the Academy to know those were magical in nature, even if he didn't know exactly what they were meant to do.

Soon enough, it was revealed why she's drawn them in a threatening manner - the cloud that was forming over the lady's head. From the color and lighter hues in the cloud, it's not made to produce lightning, Varriden said, eyeing the growing storm over the shopkeeper with Decipher. Still, a storm inside the shop would be a problem for the shopkeeper. Sure enough, the cloud began pouring as the girl added some of her own magic to the equation, water raining down inside the shop as the shopkeeper panicked and the girl stormed out.

The shopkeeper was kinda asking for that one, Varriden thought. But I do feel sorry for her. Varriden stepped into the store, walking past the girl, and moved into the middle of the store, the shopkeeper oblivious to his presence with the storm raging inside. Varriden himself, however, wasn't getting wet, and it didn't take long to see why - an aura of an orange color surrounded him, then began to expand until the bulk of the store was eclipsed by it, the cloud breaking up as the clothes began letting off trails of steam.

"I get that you were upset," Varriden said, steam rising in trails around the shop, "But keep in mind, this is her livelihood. Trying to ruin it wrecks more than her day, it might hurt her ability to support herself. Don't tread on that lightly just to prove a point." he added, glancing at the blonde girl.

Just before Marilyn could get out of the shop, a guy with white spiky hair came inside. From the looks of it, she knew he would help the lady with the rain. Marilyn wathed as she saw the orange aura around him. The blonde diva then cursed herself. "A wizard..." She hissed unser her breath as the orange aura became stronger and the rain started to stop as the aura had somehow dispelled her rain tempo. "What the-" Marilyn stared in annoyance as she never had seen someone stop her spell that way. She turned to the man who was telling her off for doing such thing. Marilyn was itching to use her thunder tempo on him, but he might dispel it the way he stopped her first spell. And besides, no matter how hard she deny it, it was still not a good thing to do.

She turned to the lady who was now cold, hugging the clothes she managed to take from the racks. Marilyn felt guilty about what she had done. So what would she do? Apologize? Ew. Marilyn thought as she turned back to the wizard. Looking at him, she knew it would be foolish to use magic now. He was far more skilled and powerful than her. For the first time ever, Marilyn find herself in a checkmate. Deciding that this will lead to nowhere, she stomped her way out of the shop, nose high with a "Hmmpph!"

Marilyn marched towards the streets and into somewhere her feet takes her. She was really disturbed about being told off by a wizard about her mischief. The blonde diva walked on and on that she didn't even mind heading towards the ruins of the town. Right now she wanted to yell at someone. But afraid that another wizard will tell her off, she just kicked a stone out of her way and into grass where a wizard's guild was once standing. Marilyn then realized she already reached the ruins.

The girl who had caused the rainstorm glared at him, clearly debating going for the vials again, though she didn't, as he had shown that he was capable of dispelling her rainstorm. Though I suppose it's possible that she has some other kind of effect she can create with her vials, Varriden thought. I'd best be careful, but it seems like she's not committed to actual violence, otherwise she surely would have resorted to something much nastier against the shopkeeper.

The girl, surprisingly, after a glance at the shopkeeper, she simply stormed out again with a huff. Varriden sighed, then walked over towards the shopkeeper. "Sorry about her. Can't say that I know her, or what kind of conversation occurred between the two of you, but I'm sorry you had to deal with that. The aura should have dried all the clothes - or at least, dried them to the point where they shouldn't be in danger of being damaged by water, at least. If any are still a bit damp, just let them dry out and they should be fine."

Varriden walked out at that point - after all, the main damage had been the water, which had been almost completely dealt with by Varriden's Immolation Aura spell, which thankfully wasn't actually strong enough to set fire to the clothing. Heading back onto the main street, he failed to spot the blonde girl - she must have stormed off completely, Varriden thought. He walked down the street towards the ruins, his intended destination before he'd gotten sidetracked at the clothing shop.

Marilyn realized she already reached the ruins. It seemed that she was mad enough for her to reach such distance in minutes. Judging by the look of the place, there's really nothing fascinating about it. Just an old building, aged in years, and withered by storms. Feeling stupid as she found herself alone in front of the ruins, she turned around and thought of heading back to the center of the town. She was about to take her first step when she saw someone heading towards her.

It was the guy whom she met earlier in the shop. The one who dispelled her rain tempo. "Urgh! That guy. What does he want?" Marilyn asked herself as she immediately ran towards the ruins and hide herself behind a wall inches taller than her. Through a hole beside her which once used to be a window, she watched the guy went into the ruins. Luckily, not in her direction. She realized he did not come for her. But something else.

As she watched closely, Marilyn uncapped both her warm and cool perfume. She willed a bit of it upwards, occasionally looking at the guy to see what he is up to. The blonde diva looked up and saw that a small thick cloud was formed. She willed more of her perfume upwards, making the cloud bigger. Checking the guy if he had seen her, Marilyn capped both perfumes and took out another one. It was yellow in color. Lightning perfume. Once he would see her, she would uncap it and would unleash her thunder tempo upon him.

As Varriden made his way to the ruins, he noticed someone walking up from the other direction, meaning coming back from the ruins themselves. Did someone already explore it and return? Varriden wondered. They must have started early if so - it's not very late in the day yet, so unless they entered the night before, their search didn't take very long.

A moment later, he realized who it was from the color of the hair and the dress. Ah, it's just the lady from earlier, Varriden thought. I guess she must have stormed off in this direction, then doubled back for something. Maybe she just didn't want to visit the ruins. Or realized too late that she'd stormed off in the wrong direction, such was her irritation.

She scampered off the path and into another building soon enough, though, and Varriden paid it no mind. What she does is up to her, Varriden thought. I wouldn't have interfered with her in the first place if she hadn't been hurting a local business' profits.

Varriden walked past the building Marilyn had tucked herself away in, and into the ruins proper, if only on the outskirts. He paused, slightly puzzled, when the world seemed to take on an odd color. Strange, he thought. Then he glanced up, noting the cloud - the very low-hanging cloud. Oh, don't tell me...Varriden glanced at the building she was hiding in. Don't tell me she's seriously going to try to make it rain again? Aside from being a somewhat vengeful act, she should know that won't work after what I did in the shop. "If you're going to try and make it rain again, you should really know at this point that it won't work on me," Varriden said aloud, feeling obligated to point that out, if only so the lady wouldn't waste more perfume trying to get some form of revenge.

The guy seemed to know that she was there right when he came to the place. But only then he noticed that he was about to cast a spell on him. He told her not to waste her magic as the rain was not effective back there in the boutique. Marilyn gave a hearty laugh. "And what makes you say I'm going to use the same spell on you when I already saw you negating it?!" She replied. Marilyn was now shaking as she had her hand on the cork. With just one move she can unleash the thunder at him. But right now, she had no choice. This guy seemed to be underestimating her magic.

So she uncorked her vial and let the perfume went towards the dark cloud above him. As the scent reached the dark cloud, it grumbled dangerously. "The weather is predictable you know, when you're the one controlling it." She hissed dangerously. The grumbling grew louder. "THUNDER TEMPO!" She yelled as thunder was unleashed from the cloud and went straight to the man.

Marilyn didn't notice that she was standing on some kind of a trapdoor with rusty screws. Before the thunder could even hit the man, the trapdoor fell open and the blonde diva was screaming in surprise. "AAAAAaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" She yelled as she landed on an old sofa. "Owww." She moaned as she rubbed her hurt butt.

She looked around and noticed that she was underground. The man was nowhere to be seen. "What fresh hell is this?" She muttered as she dusted herself off.
