Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The trio entered the witch's hut without any more trouble. Sachio almost wished she had something else up her sleeve, because that would have just pushed him closer to wanting to killing her. However, that was counterproductive to their goal here, so Sachio was just going to have to deal with the minor annoyances. He didn't want to return to the guild and explain to Artorius that they killed the person they were sent to save. The hut was rather nice and quaint. It was almost somewhere Sachio wouldn't have minded staying in. Due to it's location, it was quiet and out of the way, so he would never have to deal with people. Unfortunately for the witch, she didn't have that luxury. Her status as a witch has caused the nearby townsfolk to place blame on her for the issues happening lately. That is why Sachio and Ryan were here.

Not long after their initial inspection of the hut, Ryan had deduced that the witch wasn't here. "She has to be here. She shocked the shit out of-" Sachio was cut off by a large ball of water that exploded and covered the area. Sachio narrowed his eyes, for he was feeling the familiar twinge of annoyance yet again. The witch had come out of hiding and stood across from them, looking quite angry. There was a hint of fear behind the anger she wore on her face. Her long dark hair hung in ringlets down her back and over her shoulders. She stared at Sachio and Ryan with deep blue eyes that showed the pain she has experienced. The witch was quite a bit younger than Sachio figured she would be. She had to be in her twenties based on her looks. "You know why we are here. You know who we are. I introduced us before you rudely shocked me." Sachio said, calmly. His face showed zero emotion, as was the norm, but in a situation such as this, it might not have been for the best. "We are just here to help." An eyebrow raised after Ryan shot off his gun. It was only a blank, but it still was probably taken quite negatively by the witch.

Blair hadn't said anything, but knowing her, she was quite upset. Sachio was scared to even turn to look at his partner because he did not want to suffer her wrath. She had reached a point where she couldn't stay quiet anymore though. "Let's skip the pleasantries. As was said, we are here from Nine Lives. You need our help. Sure, this wasn't the greatest introduction, but if you could get past your paranoia and cooperate, we could move on and get some work done." Blair's anger was apparent in her voice. She didn't yell, but it had that creepy calmness that you know meant that something worse was coming. The calm before the storm. Judging from the way the Witch dropped her hands and lost her scowl, she knew as well. "I am sorry. It's just I have been treated like a monster lately and all I have ever done was help the townsfolk. Thank you for coming." Blair nodded and relaxed as well. "So we are supposed to help do some ritual and get the townspeople off your back? Can do. I'd like to do this as soon as possible though, so fill us in on what we need to do."

The four of them discussed the plan for the barrier. It turns out all she needed them to do was supply a bit of magical power and draw some runes. Seemed simple enough. Sachio wasn't much of an artist, but drawing some runes shouldn't prove to be too much trouble. "I am sure that if we get to town to set up this barrier, the townsfolk aren't going to be too happy about seeing you, right? I suppose we will be on bodyguard duty then." Sachio said with a sigh. His magic would prove useful in that regard. If they formed a mob, a nice cloud of poison would act as teargas and be a nice nonlethal deterrent. "Just lead the way, uh...witch." Sachio then realized he didn't know her name. "Call me Selene. Yes, let us go." "Thanks, Selene."

Ask away; I have all the answers.

Ryan let the more diplomatic people handle the witch as he went to tend to his own devices. First of all, he took off his sweater that had taken the brute of the damage and helped himself to hanging it up in the sunshine with the witch’s clothes hanger, same went for his vest. In the end he was left with moist dress pants and shirt. Wringing his clothes dry and getting some alone time did wonders on his mood, and he came back a better man than when he shot the blank. “What’s the plan?” he said innocently, though he had heard the entire conversation while he was doing his own thing.

The company walked through the forest, this time with the guidance of the witch so they weren’t wandering aimlessly searching for the village. It was a quiet journey, at least for Ryan. He had so that any conversation that was struck up with him was struck back down with a simple, thoughtful “hmm…”

Once they reached the village, Ryan saw how bad the situation was for the witch, though he still didn’t feel any sympathy. The villagers instantly turned their heads at them and Ryan could sense their distrust and anger… but also fear. The hunter could see it in their limbs, how they want to approach and attack the witch, but with one look at Sachio and Blair… they decided against it and the blonde couldn’t blame them. Someone did, however, decide to throw an apple, but Ryan saw it coming from a mile away and caught it.

“A beautiful mistress like you shouldn’t be exerting yourself on someone like that,” he said to the woman who threw the fruit, using his ikemen powers to win her over. “If it’s looks that have you worried, be assured that your beauty better than hers by tenfold. If you’re afraid she’ll cast some evil curse on you, then I’ll come for you and whisk her away.” He used the apple as the perfect excuse to grab her hand and peck at a knuckle. It also helped that his clothes were still wet and a bit translucent because of it.

“But what about those who’ve already been cursed? Th-the Fioran soldier that was sent here earlier this week, and his horse, the-ey’ve already been cursed,” she stuttered.

This was news to Ryan, and something that he’ll talk about later when the company was out in the clear. “I’ll force the witch to find a cure if that’ll ease your heart.” He turned around and went back to Sachio, giving him a hard stare. “So there are people who’re growing tree branches out of their ears…”

Just Hanging Around

Before long, the group was well on their way to the town so that they could erect the barrier. They hadn't been gone long, but Sachio was already tired of everything and wanted to go home. He did well to hide his annoyance though. Knowing Blair, she felt the same way. She always had a much shorter amount of patience than Sachio. Thankfully, it was still a bit hot outside. Thanks to that fact, Sachio and Blair's wet clothes slowly dried up to a comfortable state. Blair not killing Selene for drenching them was a miracle. Ryan had the right idea earlier and had dried his clothes out.

They finally approached the outskirts of the town after a rather quiet trek. As soon as Selene was recognized, the distrust of the townsfolk was shown. Fortunately the stray fruit that flew towards them was caught by Ryan, for if it had hit Selene, the town would have lost a few citizens. Sachio listened and rolled his eyes as Ryan spoke to a pretty young woman. Apparently she was the one that threw it and she also explained an issue about a soldier and his horse. Sachio had the same idea as Ryan. "Selene, perhaps you should help the solider and his horse to try and build some trust between you and the townsfolk. It couldn't hurt to try." Selene's doubt was apparent in her face at first, but with a scowl from Sachio and Blair, she seemed slightly more inclined to go along with the idea. "I suppose it couldn't hurt indeed..." She said meekly.

"Hey, take us to where this 'cursed' soldier is. Selene here really is going to cure him." Sachio said to the woman Ryan had been speaking to. With an apprehensive nod, the young woman led them to a stable. Inside one of the many gated sections of the stable was a man laying down on a bed of hay with his chestnut colored horse by his side. "This is them? Alright Selene, check them out." With the smallest of sighs, Selene entered the stable slowly. She still wasn't so happy about this idea knowing the townsfolk wanted her dead. This could have been a trap. Fortunately for her, it wasn't. She knelt down and placed her hand on the passed out man in grey armor. With a look of concentration, she moved her hand to the horse. She nodded to herself and stood up to rejoin the group. "It seems as though they walked near a Mindbark tree. People such as this soldier and his horse are sometimes unfortunate enough to host a seed that migrates to the skull and begins growing by using the brain as a food source. Pretty bad way to go. The good news is that we can cure them since it just started. The branches are still tiny, indicating a freshly started sapling. We need to flush it out with water at this point." Selene said with a weak smile. Sachio could see that she wasn't thrilled about helping the people that hated her.

"Alright, well let's go ahead and get them taken care of." Sachio said with his usual blank face. The woman that led them to the soldier looked a little relieved to hear that the man and his horse would be ok. "There is a hose right here! Perfect!" The young woman said, running to the hose she mentioned. She dragged the coiled hose over to Sachio who had his hand outstretched for it. With a nod from Sachio, the young woman then ran back over to the base of the hose and turned the water on. Sachio then walked over to the passed out soldier and stuck the hose right in his ear. The water winded through the hose and spurted out with force, easily taking the sapling with it. Sachio handed the hose to Ryan so the horse could be handled while he shook the soldier to wake him up. Today was full of surprises.

When the witch said that they needed to flush out the plant with water, Ryan didn’t imagine literally flushing it out with a hose on max pressure. He watched as Sachio placed the mouth of the hose right next to the soldier’s ears and hold it steady as Selene cranked it up. The plant was instantly uprooted and out of the man’s head, though it looked more like an animal from another planet than a plant on earth; science fiction things weirded him out.

Ryan grabbed the hose from Sachio and walked over to the horse. It was lying down on its side and squirming around as if it was having a night terror. The blonde knelt before it and placed a hand on the horse’s snout out of habit whenever he saw a frantic one. Without wasting another second, he pointed the hose at the horse’s ear and waited for the witch to turn on the faucet. He watched as the water started out as a trickle before it became a stream and then a full on geyser. Unlike the soldier, the horse neighed extremely loudly and got right on to its feet when the plant had been forced out of its head.

The hunter stepped back to give the equine it’s space as it looked around wildly as if it was going to charge at a moment’s notice. However, with the time and space that Ryan was giving the horse, it calmed down and even came up to the hunter to nuzzle him as a thank you. “I suppose everything here has been fixed… but where did these things come from?” Ryan stepped on the blood red plant that seemed to be pulsing.
