Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Mission Details

Part of being in a Guild meant participating in it's activity and helping it progress. Sachio walked through the Manor that was used for the Guild Hall with Blair, thinking about how he was expected to assist the guild. "So what are we supposed to do, like clean the mansion or something?" Sachio asked Blair as they aimlessly wandered the halls. Blair being a cat, knew more about the stuff going on around the guild. She often talked to the large cat known as Nine. Unbeknownst to Sachio, she had asked Nine about missions. Fortunately there was one that they could do. It had to do with a witch and getting to the bottom of issues going on in the Witchwood. It seemed like something they could accomplish. Nine did say that they would need another person though. "Sachio, we are going to do a mission for the guild. That is how we will assist. We need to help a witch. We just need someone to go with us." Sachio thought about what he was just told, and figured it wasn't a bad idea. "I do have a certain...predisposition to witches. Let's do it." Blair nodded, knowing that it was going to play out like this.

Sachio could smell who was here and detected Ryan. He barely knew the guy, so now was a good time to remedy that. "How about Ryan. He is a hunter right? Shooty guy. That is about all I know." Blair shrugged, not knowing more than that either. "Yes. Guns. Hunt. You would be correct." They would just need to find him. Judging from the scent, he seemed to be at the gun range. Go figure. As they got closer to the range, Sachio and Blair could hear the shots ringing through the air. "That would be him." Sachio said before heading inside to find Ryan. They waited for him to be finished before botheirng him. They enjoyed the show of the mage hitting the targets with great accuracy. Sachio and Blair never used guns, but they did know that were effective weapons. When Ryan finally noticed them, Blair filled him in on the situation. "We need someone else to join us on this mission for the guild. There is a witch needing our assistance. Want to help?" She asked, knowing Sachio wouldn't have.

Bored, bored, bored, and bored. Ryan sighed once his chamber was empty and turned to the monitor to check for something he already knew. Perfect scores, like always. It was to be expected, since he did spend every morning and afternoon in the shooting range, shooting the same series of targets, with the same three guns. He needed to go outside, he thought as he began to reset the targets. He needed to kill something, he thought as he reloaded his gun. He needed to do something other than shoot targets, he thought as began shooting with his revolver upside down and pinkies on the trigger. The end result? Nothing changed. Well, actually, there were spectators now.

Blair and Sachio stood behind the glass doors, watching him as if they wanted to talk to him. Of everyone in the guild, Ryan didn't know what to think of the pair. They were always together, and he never really found the time to talk to those two since they were always... well... together. Though, he didn't attempt it out of socialbility but more of because Artorius wanted everyone to be buddy-buddy with each other. The drinking party didn't do so well, especially after said pair abruptly left. But he supposed that he'll give them brownie points for waiting for him to finish before coming in.

Ryan nibbled the insides of his mouth when Blair spoke. He honestly would've prefered if Sachio talked and have minimal interactions with Blair since she was not only a guild member and a girl, but dating Sachio. As much as he wanted to act all flirty or snarky towards her, like how he did with Alice and Snow, he couldn't with her boyfriend always within a 5 meter radius. Happy face like always, friendly demeanor to go along with it, and maybe subtle comments for now. "Sure!" he said with a smile. "Let me clean up around here and we'll go? Oh, tell me the details too."

The fact that Ryan agreed to accompany he and Blair made Sachio a bit happier. It would be nice to get closer to the other people that made up the guild he was now in. Sachio had already wandered the manor plenty of times and was getting pretty familiar with it. It was a nice place that fit Sachio's style pretty well. He loved old gloomy places that carried a lot of history. This manor was one of them. Now it was also filled with the people Artorius had collected over the span of his adventures. Sachio still hadn't completely gotten to know the rest of the people that made up Nine Lives, but Ryan was a good start. Sachio obliged to what Ryan requested and waited for the blonde man to clean up his stuff. Sachio had never shot a gun, but if he ever wanted to, Ryan would be the person to ask about it. He doubted he would want to, but it was nice to have that option available.

When Ryan was done, Sachio went ahead and filled him in on the mission itself. "Well, it seems as though witches are being accused of doing bad stuff like places hexes on people and what not. Apparently that can't be true because the 'Witches of Witchwood' have stopped doing stuff like that. We are to go investigate. During our investigation, we are to save a witch and bring her back here. Seems pretty simple I guess." Sachio said nonchalantly. He didn't know too much about what was going on, but he was curious to find out. Witches interested him. The dark ties they are infamous for was something Sachio wanted to see with his own eyes. Things were easily exaggerated, so finding out stuff on your own was the best way to truly learn. It also would be nice to have one of them at the manor so that she could teach him things, he figured. It was a win/win situation.

"Whenever you are ready to go, we can head out. I am in no hurry, but I also have nothing else to do." Sachio said after he explained the situation. Blair stayed silent, mostly because she had nothing to add to the conversation, but also because she was still trying to figure Ryan out. She trusted barely anyone, so she was extremely cautious with new people.

Oh, they were helping a witch? Ryan frowned at the mention of it, though that could've been interpreted in many different ways. "That's a shame..." he said truthfully, but here came the lie, "I hope nothing serious has happened to her." He really could not give a single damn about what happened to the witch for obvious reasons. She could've been maimed, burned at a stake, or tossed into acid; she could've been the most beautiful woman in the world and then became more hideous than medusa, and he would've laughed at her. But not now, not in front of his "precious" guildmates. They'll figure it out sooner or later, but to give them peace of mind and time to adjust to changes, Ryan stayed friendly. Argh, but still, he was going to save a witch... He was not going to be a happy camper.

Ryan powered down the lacrimas and swept the floor of all the empty shells and dust off the ground. He waved his guns back into his pocket dimensions and returned the cheap magazines and clips to their trays. But just before he was going to say he was done, the hunter looked through a sheet of all his shots on one target. It was something nice that came with many shooting range, and the Nine Lives' one wasn't a exception, and that was that there was a machine that could put all shots on one target to find groupings. In his case, his shots were all evenly spread out but they just nicked the bull's eye.

"Alright, thanks for waiting. So where to?" This... was going to be great... not really.

The Lavendar Forest was interesting. It reminded him of the many stories back in Pergrande about cursed forests; he never knew Fiore had something like that. He had found many amazing and beautiful things in Fiore but never anything wicked or eerie just yet. It was almost out of a fairy tale, a witch living in recluse in a forest, not far from a village but enough so that only the occasional child would stumble upon it and that the adults would go only when the need calls for it. "I hope you have a map of some sort to this witch's hut, or some hint to go off on," he said, looking far and wide to see a never ending forest.

They departed quickly and made their way to Lavender Forest. It was a beautiful sight to behold. The large trees that covered the land all shared the same bright purple foliage. Sachio had heard of this place, but now he was getting to experience it's splendor in person. Along with the stories that described it's beauty, also came the stories that told about it's horrors. Supposedly at night, this wonderful place shows it's true visage. The beautiful lavender it is named after no longer covers the tree tops. Thick and thorny vines cover the forest and the darkness seeps into the land itself. Both of the forest's faces interested Sachio. He was never one to shy away from creepy places and danger. He lived on that kind of stuff. In fact, he was slightly curious and planned on returning here one night in the future.

They began their trek through the forest with only their duty in mind. Ryan's comment about a map made Sachio think about that for a bit. "Actually...I do not. No worries though. Blair here has amazing senses and will lead us to where we need to go. If something smells human, sounds human, or looks human, Blair will know." Blair silently nodded, confirming what Sachio said to be true. She was already keeping an ear and nose out for anything, even since their arrival. She knew the stories and wasn't going to let them fall prey to some strange creature here. Sachio pat his partner on the back and kept through the forest. There was a general path that carved through the trees, and that seemed like their best bet currently on travel. The only thing he knew was that the witch was supposed to be quite deep into the woodland. He hoped this trail led them there, or else he would make his own trail.

After a bit of walking, Blair stopped them and looked around. "Multiple beings. They smell like wolves or related. Not sure how many currently. They are getting closer and seem to be circling." Sachio's hand reached toward Misery's End, not that he would need it for a couple of wolves. Instead, he slipped on his bladed knuckles. That would make the encounter that much more amusing. Sure enough, within minutes, a pack of six large wolves emerged from the forest. They surrounded the group in a circle and they all had their fangs bared. They were noticeably larger than a standard wolf, which was concerning. Low growls emanated from the wolves, signifying their aggression. "Cats versus dogs eh?" Sachio said jokingly. He wasn't worried in the least about them. Sure they were a bit bigger, but still they were far from an actual threat.

Ryan stared at Sachio. They were supposed to find the witch in the forest with nothing but a nose? And he honestly doubted they had a piece of the witch's clothes for her to sniff out, so they were basically going off on a whim? Ryan's let out a huff of air for the inconvenience but he as frustrated wasn't as his body let on, if anything he had just grown used to being told where someone would be. It would be like old times now; he wondered how rusty his skills had gotten. "Different from how I've done things but I suppose it's good to be different. I'm holding you accountable if we get lost though."

They weren't too far in before Ryan was slightly impressed with the girl's sense of smell but only slightly, because while he underestimated her, he had seen better, meaning that the wolves would've been scented long ago and avoided. The wolves were huge and Ryan instantly thought about taming one, but after seeing that they were feral down to the core, Ryan had to give up on the dream. It was such a waste of potential but only the strongest survived and he wanted their fur if he couldn't have them alive.

Ryan stood with a hand in a pocket and his other just dangling away in the open. It was just about as casual as anyone could get in front a pack of wolves waiting to tear flesh and limbs, but he wasn't taking this lightly be any means, he just didn't have some fighting pose to take, not at the beginning. It was after the standstill, after the wolves had attacked, and after Ryan had managed to slip past the assault did he get into action. While he slid under a pair of wolves, the hunter drew out his golden eagle from its pocket space and aimed. He promptly got off a shot that knicked one in the butt as he was still on the ground.

Using the remaining momentum in the slide, he got up to his feet and shot again. It missed, but the beauty of a semi-automatic was that he could shoot again without missing a second. The third shot hit the same wolf right through the skull, killing it. He moved on to the next wolf, and it suffered the same fate as the other. "Do you think you can spare an hour or two? And a knife?" he asked his partner as he petted the fur. It would make for a great piece of clothe with the soft texture and warmth in it.

To further prove just how insignificant the wolves were, Sachio stood his ground and let them come to him. He faked a yawn which was meant to enrage the wolves, but the gesture was probably lost to them. Still, two wolves targeted Sachio with a lunge. The man merely twisted to the side to dodge the first lunge, while spinning his spear clockwise to catch the wolf in the midsection as it flew by him. He reversed the spin, catching the second wolf in the back. Both went down hard with a yelp. Blair had dealt with her's as well, albeit much more bloody. She bisected both of them with her cleaver, leaving piles of blood and fur on the ground around her. Ironically, the ex-assassin was the only one of the three to not outright kill his wolves. Sure, they weren't going to be able to walk after what Sachio did, but at least they were alive still. Blair went ahead and took it upon herself to change that though. She beheaded both of the wolves Sachio had defeated. Sachio gave her a look that said 'really?', to which she shrugged and turned away.

With the wolves defeated, Ryan had asked Sachio for a knife. Sachio assumed that he wanted to skin the wolves, judging from the request for time as well, and the petting he was doing of the dead wolves. "I actually do have a knife that could handle this." Sachio tossed Ryan his knife, handle side first because of safety. He examined the dead wolves and surmised that Blair's were useless to skin due to the bisecting and both Ryan's and Sachio's had either head wounds or no head at all. "It looks like yours are the only ones worth skinning, and even still they have gunshot holes. That shouldn't be too bad though." Due to only having two wolves to skin, the time it took to do the job went down by a third. This meant that before long, they were back to traversing Lavender Forest.

The brilliant purples that lined the trees above them began to change as they got deeper and deeper into the forest. The purples became blacks, and the thick trunks of the trees became twisted and sickly. It was obvious that they were no longer in Lavender Forest. Or rather, they were in a different part. This had to be the Witchwood. "Well me made it to the right area in one piece. Now we are to find a witch hut. In a place literally named Witchwood, that shouldn't be too hard." Sachio looked around as he walked, taking in the new surroundings. This place was definitely sinister looking, but it didn't feel as evil as it looked. Can't judge a book by it's cover. "Picking up anything weird Blair?" Sachio asked his partner. "This is a place I have never been before. Everything here would classify as weird." Sachio laughed in response. She wasn't wrong.

Due to the sickly looking trees, the forest was a lot less sparse and the group was able to see further in every direction. This was surely going to assist them in searching for the witch's hut.

"Thanks," the hunter said, catching the knife and starting the process of skinning. "They're probably just going to be for me as a blanket or a scarf, the bullet holes won't be a problem." With that said, he slid the knife and did a quick job, skipping the head and the legs for time consuming reasons. He did quick work with his and looked at the other four. Blair completely decimated hers, go figure, but Sachio's were still mostly in tact. Without going through the extremities, Ryan finished the job in a little over an hour and hung the four pelts on a tree for them to dry during the duration of the mission; he would come back for it once they had saved the witch and all those other minuscule things.

Once he cleaned his hands and Sachio's knife, which he handed back, he gave the signal that he was ready to go. It was hard to notice the trees becoming more and more sparse as they walked until it was extremely obvious. Not only were there so few, but they were also dying. Ryan noticed that some had been charred at if there had been a forest fire; there was something in the air that told him that it wasn't a natural accident. He wasn't some expert on pyromancy but he knew his way around woodlands and forests, looking out for everything that would hint anything. "Let's head this way," he said, pointing east. The trees grew more damaged in the direction he motioned to, indicating the fire came there.

As he moved, he looked around. Ryan wasn't necessarily looking for the source of the fire, but looking for anything that stood out, such as trees that were perfectly in tact, buckets and cans, clothes, and a hut of course; things that screamed that someone was living in the woods. There was much walking and kicking up dirt to find anything interesting, but there was nothing--now that he thought about it, unless it was fire-proof, everything would've been burnt up from the fire. Ah, whatever, he was pretty sure they would find the witch's hut and he was pretty sure the villagers were the ones that started the fire. He imagined it as the usual kind of getting-rid-of-a-witch process with people holding torches and sporks.

A hop, skip, and a jump away, Ryan saw the silhouette of a small house. On a close inspection, there was smoke coming out of the chimney. "Might've found our witch," he said. Compared to everywhere else, the cabin was practically spotless and clean; the fire didn't even graze the place.

There wasn't much life in this part of the woods, and what little was here were strange creatures and plant life of which one would never see otherwise. Various sprites and glowing plants had grown in the Witchwood, due to whatever happened here that caused the drastic change in it's land. It had a strange feel to it, one that was unsettling to both Sachio and Blair. It wasn't an evil feeling, but more unfamiliar and intriguing. The latent magic in the area was quite obvious due to that feeling. "Picking up that feeling that we are being watched also, Blair?" Sachio asked his partner, as he looked around. "I believe I am. Most be from magical means, as I can not sense anything otherwise. I doubt the curious creatures here are the ones causing it." Sachio nodded, he could always count on her for an accurate reading of their surroundings. However there was a limit to her abilities, so whoever was watching them must have been doing it from quite a ways away if she could not pick them up.

Sachio followed Ryan's lead through the forest as they searched for the hut in which the witch resided. Thanks to the trees being much more thin and sparse, seeing through them was much easier. That was going to assist them greatly in searching from a hut. Before long, that very thing happened. Ryan had spotted the hut and alerted Sachio and Blair. Sitting in a small clearing, was what they assumed was the witches hut. It was wooden as one would expect, made from logs and a straw roof. Interestingly, smoke came from a chimney, which Blair would have smelled. Perhaps the magic of the forest was blocking her from sensing anything the witch did. It would make sense due to the witch hiding out here from the townsfolk nearby wanting her dead. Sachio narrowed his eyes at the hut. Damn tricksy witches.

"I suppose we should go say hello. They already know we are here." Sachio said, walking towards the cabin. When he approached the clearing, he walked straight into an invisible wall. Sachio slammed into it and cursed. "Fucking witches, man." He placed his hands on the barrier and felt around a bit. "Looks like it surrounds the entire clearing. She must really want to be left alone. Should we try the diplomatic approach?" Sachio said with a smirk. They had come there to help, but the witch wouldn't know that. They were going to have to prove that they were friendly. Sachio had just the idea for that. "Hello! Witch? I am Sachio, from the guild Nine Lives. With me are two more Nine Lives members, Ryan and Blair. We know of the situation with the townsfolk. Can we talk?" At first there was silence, and then Sachio was answered with an intense shock from the barrier he was still touching. He frowned in response and turned to his teammates. "So much for diplomatic." Sachio pulled his spear out and twirled it. "Force it is. Care to help?" The three of them would attack the barrier simultaneously to break through. Some people just wanted to do things the hard way.

Ryan stepped aside to let the better of the two handle the witch. The hunter was feeling quite peevish at the whole idea of saving a girl, especially after being secluded for nearly a month as self-control; he couldn’t trust his body to not let a bullet fly the moment the she stepped out of her hut. Oh and just incase the hut was booby-trapped for defensive reasons, Sachio would be the first to take the hit and possibly cushion the damage for Ryan. It turned out the hunter wasn’t that far off with his prediction when the assassin walked face-first into an invisible wall; it earned him a snort and muffled laughter from Ryan.

“Can’t blame her for being cautious,” he wheezed after Sachio failed his diplomatic approach. “Ten thousand jewels says she looks 30 at the most.” Ryan stood back and pulled out his gun; it was for the same reason why he let Sachio do everything first: just incase a fireball comes flying their way. “On three,” he started counting down and shot twice on said number. With their combined effort, the shield shattered and after a good seven seconds of waiting, Ryan walked forward, after Sachio.

The hut was empty, but it didn’t look like someone had abandoned it nor did they rush to an escape route. “Miss Witch,” Ryan called around, opening closets and cabinets, checking under tables and sinks. Not a single thing was out of place, no broken potion flasks or chairs to show for a struggle. It looked as homely as ever with wooden shelves that held thick books filled with spells and information, handmade dolls that sat next to each other over an old grand piano, and a small coffee table for guests when they came around. “She’s not he—Duck!”

But ducking wouldn’t do a single thing. Luckily for them, it was just a large water ball that had hit them and soaked them to the bones. “Who are you and what are you doing in my house!” she asked despite the obvious intentions of not letting them a moment to answer. Ryan saw sparks go off from her hands and knowing that the entire room was covered in water, he knew they had to be quick. He lifted his gun at her forehead and shot a blank, but the visual and audio sense of it was enough for the witch to stop in her tracks.

“Geez, give us a god damn second to explain ourselves. Fucking girls and their stupid rhetorical questions because they think their quick assumptions are always right,” he spat. Normally he wouldn’t be quick to anger and could’ve easily hid it behind a smile, but he had been irritated since the beginning, and now he was drenched from head to toe courtesy of the very reason why he was annoyed from the first place, something he hated being while in clothes, and finally it was doing something he absolutely hated. “We’re from Nine Lives, the guild you desperately begged for help. So help you god, if you want our assistance, shut up and listen or else my next shot won't be a blank.”
