The sound of the train pulling into the station was like angels singing to young Alekis. He was finally leaving the town with a bad reputation for any wizard. Lightning crackled across Alekis finger tips. Excitement surging through his entire frame. Swiveling his head, he bounced on the balls of his feet. Alekis suddenly felt nostalgic for his hometown. Sure it was seedy and dark, the people were ass holes and seemed to interested in the past of the dark guild that owned this town. But he had made friends here, his parents lived here. He learned magic from his teacher here. Yeah seedy hell hole had a few holy angels. Breathing deep, he grabbed his suitcase as the conductor hollered out for passengers to board.

Taking a step forward Alekis suddenly felt a presence on his shoulders. Destiny seemed to press down and for a moment he felt that he wouldn't see his hometown again for a long time. Taking a deep breath he pushed away the feeling and walked towards the train. With every step his smile grew bigger and bigger. Suddenly he was running, laughter flowing behind him as his feet thundered on the stone pavement. The train finally came into view. Beautiful machine of freedom. Alekis lost count of how many times he had sat in this station watching the train arrive and leave without him. Now however, he was gonna be on it.

Waving his ticket he jumped through the door, miscounted the distance and went face first into the wall. Pain flared up as he danced back holding his nose. "Owwww!" he glared at the wall like it was it's fault. Turning away he stormed down the aisle. Cursing walls the entire way until he came to his booth. Taking a deep breath that filled his lungs, he released it. He was finally free, away from this town and heading towards his goal. Fairy Tale. His mom had been a member long ago when she was a teenager. Her stories were what made him want to be a wizard. The only wizard in town except for his mom was Crazy Lady Marta.

Images flashed through his brain of his apprenticeship under the crazy electric cat lady. However he couldn't help being fond of the crazy old bat. She had trained him, taught him the ferocity of lightning and how it could be used for good or evil. She emphasized this with a whack of her cane every day. He finally came back to his senses. The young lightning mage grabbing the door handle and turning it. He chose a public coach because traveling alone that far seemed boring. Pulling it open, the young mage smiled and looked inside.

"Looks like we're transferring."

"It appears so."

"The other line leads to....Oak Town, right?"

"Yeah. You ready?"

"Ready to die, more like."

"We've reached the station. Unit! Disembark!"

A train pulled into the station, spewing out droves of grim-faced knights and mages, all prepared for battle. The tension in the air was thick, and prevalent as groups of stalwart men and women soon filled up the east side of the station. , As the flock of soldiers disembarked and sallied forth through the station, a single private continued through a daydream within the rearmost second class coach, envisioning the battle to come ahead.

Mountains of corpses, piled up on top of each other. The harsh screams of Boscan artillery lances, tearing holes within Fiorean forces as they struggled to hold the line. Of pools filled with blood and viscera, the remains of what once were close comrades and friends, never to return again. Of opponents mad with bloodlust, moving in to end his life. In the end, it was all just too terrifying.

Digressing back from the sojourn through his mind, Ruslan panicked as he got up, startled. Looking around, the young man noticed after a period of time that the rest of his comrades had left, replaced instead by an assortment of commuters and passengers. Wait, what!? Come on! The fledgeling knight internally face palmed as he hurriedly began dressing into his uniform, tripping as he attempted to put on his breeches.

"Damn...damn! damn! damn! damn!"

As he donned his gear, the soldier dashed toward the nearest exit, which had just opened to let other people in. Weaving through the throng of new passengers, whilst apologizing profusely, the soldier rounded the end of the passenger car, flung open the door, and crashed smack dab into a spiky haired teen, falling backwards onto the floor.

"Sorry 'bout that," the private quickly stated, as he attempted to get up. But alas, rushing had done the man no good, for no sooner had he fallen that the train departed from the station, chugging back from whence it came.

Alekis had seen the soldiers getting off but was too elated about his own leaving to focus on it. Holding his nose from the wall earlier, he opened the door and was crashed into. Alekis fell to the floor clutching his nose again, the armoured person whacking it by accident. Falling down he cradled his nose as blood gushed down into his hands. "OWWW." looking up he saw the soldier, the man could have been a private or a brigander General for all he knew.

Standing up, he wiped the blood from his nose. His fingertips crackling with lightning. "Hey man, what's the big idea?" the train jerked as it began moving again. Looking around Alekis noted there were no other soldiers. "Hey buddy, I think you missed your stop." his feelings of anger were already gone and was smiling. His throbbing nose swollen from the double impact but it would heal.

Looking him over he offered a hand to help him up. If he took it than Alekis would pull him up, if not he would shrug and continue on the same way. "I think this is my seat." he threw his one suitcase into the room and sat down. Looking the guy over and examining the gear. "You a soldier? " he had heard about some mages that wore armor to fight. He tried the heavy stuff on before and felt like he was lugging around a car. "I'm Alekis, a brand new mage. And your name? " as he asked the mans name, the train had picked up speed and was on it's way.

Alekis suddenly became very interested in the landscape, his face pressing and smushing against the glass. Eyes roaming over as he absorbed the countryside. "I'm finally on my way, I can't believe it but I'm finally on my way....WOOOHOOO!" Alekis leaped up, throwing a fist into the air as he held a huge grin. He seemed to completely forget his previous conversation. He was away from that town, on his way to become a great mage. The train thundered down the tracks, the horn blowing. Alekis yanked the window open and stuck half his body out of it. His arms spread wide as the strong wind pushed against his flesh. "Whoooo!"

As the young man offered up his hand, Ruslan gratefully accepted the rather kind gesture. Standing back on his feet, he noticed a bit of blood dripping down from the teen's nose, most likely from when they collided. Oh dear. Hanging his head in shame, the young man attempted to offer the mage some napkins to wipe his nose with, fumbling through his coat's pockets.

"H-here...I have some...napkins for your nose..." the knight stuttered quietly. However, it appeared that the mage cared not for the altercation, continuing instead to the seat right next to where the knight had until recently been sitting at. As the teenager sat down, it appeared as if he had beckoned for the adolescent to sit, and thus, the man did. No sooner did he sit down that the lighting mage began to pepper him with a couple questions.

"You a soldier? I'm Alekis, a brand new mage. And your name?"

"Name's Ruslan, Knights of Fiore. It's a pleasure to meet you." The young man replied, his hand outstretched, as he attempted to shake the new mage's hand. Yet, it appeared that he had diverted his attention somewhere else, but of what, the knight knew not. Peering at where Alekis was looking at, Ruslan expected to find something slightly remarkable. Maybe a mage in action, or perhaps anything out of the ordinary, at least from the view of the train.

Grass. And trees. Little picket fences here and there, alongside some trails and maybe a cottage, but in the end, just a simple landscape. Eh? Confused, Ruslan attempted to register just what exactly piqued Alekis's interest, only to come up with nothing. He shrugged. Maybe it was something he missed. Backing up from the window, he started perusing through a book that he had purchased while he was waiting on the train. Though the young man still remained nervous and jittery from missing his train, it couldn't be helped. Plus, there was a new company arriving by tomorrow. Perhaps then, he could join up with them. Satisfied with his deduction, the young man began to relax, as he continued throughout his novel. Flipping through the pages, the young man eventually became absorbed within the tome, almost ignoring the fact that his fellow passenger was now attempting to stick his body out through the window. Almost. As the mage leaned out of the car and started whooping with jubilation, Ruslan immediately moved to pull him back.

"Oi, what the hell are you doing!? That's dangerous you know."

Alekis yelped as he was yanked back into the train, good timing too as a branch struck the window he had been hanging out of. He turned on the soldier but instead of anger he was grinning ear to ear. "Thanks mate, that branch would have done a number on my noggin." The young man seemed to have no qualms about being yanked in and found the idea of being nearly decapitated funny. He grabbed the knights hand and shook it. "I owe yeh one now. If we ever meet on the battlefield as enemies I'll give yeh a pass, as allies I'll watch your back." strange was Alekis way, a strange young man from a seedy town, drunk on life and adhd.

His gaze fell to the window, an almost reckless look on his face as he considered sticking his body out again. But that might cause trouble for his fellow passenger. So instead he sat back, still holding the big grin. "I'm from that last stop, Oshibana town. Never been out of the city before, this is super exciting. All those rolling hills and open grasslands. I bet there are a ton of monsters and wild animals for the fighting. Evil mages and bandits to be taken down. But your a knight so I bet you fought all kinds of rouge mages. Hey...have you ever seen a dragon? My mom told me tales of dragons, godly powerful beings that could destroy an entire metropolis if it wanted too. ...you hungry? My mom packed me some sandwiches but I don't really like sandwiches. You can have them if yeh like."

Alekis pulled out two giant double deckers, meat, lattice, tomatoes, cucumber slices, bread and the combo again topped with a golden creamy sauce. "My mom makes the sauce herself. It's legendary in our home and I love it with everything but sandwiches." he offered them both to Ruslan with that same goofy grin. Alekis looked over suddenly as their door was pushed open. A man stood their smelling of Garlic and wild onion. In his hand he held a sword, his clothes a rag tag mix. Beady eyes staring at the two as he licked his lips. His voice was reedy and high pitched which went well with his skinny frame. "Hand over your money! " the voice was a little slurred as if he had drank before this genius idea. The train was being robbed.

Bandits- 4 D class. All carry swords.

Bandit leader C class. Carries two flint lock pistols with a 30 percent chance of hitting. Does rank C damage.

"I'll pass," the man replied. The reason behind his answer wasn't due to the reasons such as not liking sandwiches, or other mundane excuses. In reality, the young man didn't want to be a burden on his fellow passenger, by requiring food. Oh well. It's not like he was even that hungry anyway. The young man sighed before returning to his book, attempting to ignore the pleads and cries of his stomach, which had until now subsisted on naught but salt beef and biscuits. As he flipped through the pages of his novel, the private noticed a rather familiar man clad in tattered rags, his face hooded. In his hands, he carried some weapon, maybe a bokken.

"Hand over your money!" the man stated drunkenly as he pointed the bokken around the passenger car. As he finished his statement, the knight noticed 4 other hoodlums behind him, armed with what appeared to be a mixture of shinais and bokkens. Oh what luck, it appears we're being robbed. Peering up from his book, Ruslan glanced around the room for any way to avoid hostilities, finding none. Instead, he had the misfortune of making eye contact with the lead vagabond, who widened his eyes in recognition. Motioning to his lackeys, who then backed off from the other passengers, he strode menacingly toward the booth in which Alekis and the knight were sitting at. Setting his bokken and flintlocks aside, the leader of the bandits stared the private down.

"Remember me!?"

Gazing at the man's face, the soldier could've sworn he had met this man before. The way he carried himself, that cocky grin on his face. It all seemed way too familiar. Peering once more at the hoodlum's expression, the young man faced the bandit once more, before smiling nervously.

"Umm...I'm sorry. I think you've got the wrong person?"

"Did you seriously forget me Mister Gudleifr? Kuu Gwadi? Of the Howling Wolves? I'm here to settle the score with you."

With that, Mr. Gwadi reached through the inside of his ragged cloak, pulling out his signature pair of weapons, a pair of metal folding chairs. As he prepared to bludgeon Ruslan with the extremely intimidating and menacing items that he had just unveiled, the hoodlum noticed the lightning mage next to him.

"Who's this, Mister Gudleifr? A friend? No matter then, stranger. You two, me. Duel. Now."

Alekis sat watching the man with onion breath demand their money, which seemed an.odd plan since many powerful mages and knights (not these two) rode the train. Be real bad luck for them to come upon someone super powerful. Instead they got lucky and hit up Alekis and Ruslan. He looked over at his fellow passenger with that same big grin. "Dude, we're being robbes...awesome! " Alekis didn't seemed scared or annoyed or anything like that. He looked almost giddy with excitement over the train being robbed. His eyes flicking to the robber once more. "Hey, what idiot came up with the idea to rob a train? " his question was open innocent curiosity, Alekis seemed to almost be having fun with this.

"I've never been in a train robbery before. There were muggers in Oshibana town but it was usually Jax and his gang. Once you beat them down they tend to leave yeh alone after that. But these guys seem more reckless and stupid than Jax." Alekis was about to stand up when their leader entered, he seemed to know Ruslan so Alekis did the proper and respectful thing. He laid back on the seat and closed his eyes. "Let me know when you two are done catching up, I don't want to be rude and interrupt your reunion." he grinned at them and relaxed back, getting comfy.

The man's voice seemed annoyed that Ruslan didn't remember him, waving around his super dangers weapons, folding chairs. Alekis wished he had thought of awesome weapons like that. The word duel had him opening his eyes once more. The grin somehow growing larger at the idea. "Oh, that sounds fun. Can qe Ruslan? Please! " Alekis had transformed his personality into that of a hyper kid. Bouncing a little like they were going to their favorite restaurant. He stopped and looked at the man's friends behind him. "Hey, they should fight too. It's not fair or nice to leave your friends out of something. How about I fight these four and you and Ruslan can catch up? "

Alekis stood up and smiled, lightning suddenly flashing across the teens hands, raising them up they charged with hot electricity. "So, who wants to ride the lightning first? " he asked them the question like someone asking who wants a candy bar or a soda. Tilting his head as he smiled at the guys.

Upon Alekis's remark, a rather portly and balding man within Kuu's group of vagabonds turned to face him. Stout, yet steadfast, he brushed aside the others as he came face to face with the young mage, eyeing the man with a hint of curiosity. Noticing the eagerness within the boy's eyes, he couldn't help but chortle.

"Ha! You've got spunk kid, I'll give ya that. But is your bark bigger than your bite, I wonder."

With that, the man motioned for his lackeys to form up behind him as he pulled out his bokken. Twirling it around deftly, the bandit pointed the edge of the wooden blade toward Alekis, before flipping it around and handing it over to the mage.

"Wouldn't be fair to just go up against an unarmed lad without giving him anything to defend himself," the man explained. "At any rate, prepare yourself, for I, Gregor the Swift, shall face your lightning with all of my might!"

Drawing out another weapon from his back, he began twirling what appeared to be a stave, though upon closer scrutinization, it appeared to be an oversized~Wait, what the actual what!? Was that a double-sided spork? Though it appeared more menacing than it actually was, in the very end, it was indeed an oversized double-sided spork. Yet, the sheer hilarity of the weapon in concept was cancelled out by the menacing look in Gregor's eyes, as he drew closer toward Alekis.

"Let's see just how good your fighting skills are, boy."

"Looks like it's just you and me now, huh Mister Gudleifr?"

Kuu Gwadi snarled as he chucked a chair at Ruslan's general direction. Narrowly missing the private's head by just a couple of centimeters, it slammed against a window on one of the cars, leaving the window fractured and covered in spider-web cracks, threatening to shatter. Leaping up to his feet, the young man bobbed-and-weaved through the chair-master's attacks, sidestepping to avoid being clocked on the head by a downward cleave.

"Apparently so," the knight pointed out matter-of-factly. The man had gotten quicker and stronger since they had last crossed paths. Was he working out? Was it a secret ability of his? Had he entered a period of soul-searching and somehow managed to come out slightly better than before. At any rate, the private acknowledged that the man had improved, currently forcing the knight on the defensive. With few options left, and in the crowded space available, Ruslan attempted to fend off his opponent, blocking with his vambraces while throwing a couple jabs and hooks at Kuu, but alas, to no avail. Leaping backward in a somersault, the duelist's feet connected with the private's jaw, sending him back reeling.

"Have to admit, you're doing pretty well for yourself Mister Gwadi. Have you been holding out on me?"

"Damn straight I've been holding out on you. Couldn't beat you up too badly in front of your daughter after all."

"Ah, I see. Wait? Daughter!? What do you mean!? I'm not that old! And we don't even look alike!"

At that remark, the man's face flushed with red hot embarrassment at his mistake. Apparently, he had mistaken the young girl at their first bout for being this private's daughter. Then again, the man had seemed way too young to be that child's father, but then again, incidents like those ended up occurring nevertheless.

"A-anyway, it doesn't matter anymore! Less talking more fighting!"

Alekis looked at the offered weapon and took it, letting it drop from his hand to the floor. He didn't like weapons they only got in the way and slowed him down. Watching the exchange between Rusia and the onion man he decided to focus on his own. Turning his attention back to his own opponent he stared in awe at the weapon. A spork...man some people got all the luck. He watched the piggy eyed man bring his arm back for a thrust. With a flick of his hand he sent a platinum colored lightning bolt into piggy man's face. The scream was way overboard since the bolt only caused minimum damage. Leaping to his feet he bent his knees and shoved off the bench seat. Shoulder rushing the piggy man into the more open hallway.

Smirking, he came up under the mans chin with a teeth rattling uppercut, putting all his weight on the leap off. A thunk to his side made him grunt and stumble. The other three men stood with their weapons. Alekis looked at each one as piggy climbed back to his feet with his left hand nursing his jaw. Alekis smirked and raised his hands, sparks popping along his fingertips. The men looked questioning at Piggy who waved his hand for a thin man to come forward. Alekis chose the hall cause with the tube shaped hallway only one could come at him at a time. Alekis raised his right hand and sent a bolt of lightning into the man again. He screamed as fifteen hundred volts flooded his muscles and veins. Alekis stepped forward delivering a kick to the mans right inner knee. The knee dislocating upon impact. A full right fist into the mans jaw sent him head first into the wall.

Stepping back he smirked and raised both fists again. A roar and the man swung his weapon down at Alekis head. Moving but not fast enough the blunt weapon landed on his left shoulder. Alekis screamed as the nerves screamed from the impact. Raging the man came forward again, this time with a back swing for the kids head. Alekis caught the arm and brought his palm hard into the mans now fully extended elbow and a crunch as the bones in the right arm gave way. Grabbing the mans head he face slammed him into the floor and stomped once. His eyes lifted at the other three, electricity dancing on his arms. "Next? " the fear at his brutality was obvious as the next came forward. Alekis licked his lips and readied for his next opponent.

"H-holy shit, that guy...Gregor..." one vagabond stammered.

"What the actual...!?" exclaimed another.

Listening to the others whom Alekis had been fighting against exclaim such words of surprise, Ruslan glanced back for a couple of seconds to perceive just what exactly had happened. When the mage found himself engaged in a duel with the spork-wielding fellow, the Seveni had been somewhat uncertain as to whether that man could handle himself, though considering the remarks of the brigand's colleagues, it was apparent that he had been able to protect himself marvelously, albeit, in his defense of himself, the knight concluded that he had gone perhaps a little too far.

The fellow known as Gregor the Swift was completely incapacitated, nay, if anything the man seemed nearly dead from Alekis's brutal attack. A tad distasteful, sure, but it had been most assuredly effective. Though, upon further rumination concerning the young man's technique, it was a bit unrefined, but surprisingly his technique had some striking parallels to the Combatives courses taught during basic training within the Academy. "Perhaps he was taught how to fight by a former knight?" the man mused.

It was at that moment that Mister Gwadi seized the opportunity for himself. With the private's head currently turned toward the source of the commotion, the chair-arts practitioner decided to make his way toward the knight, before attempting to strike at the back of his head. Pushing off from the floorboards of the coach, the bandit dashed toward the Seveni before attempting to throw a single, powerful arm-chop, aimed toward the man's jugular.

"Orrraaa!!!"

"Haaa!!!!"

The man shouted with all his might as he performed a chopping motion with his hand, only to be intercepted by the private. Blocking and grappling the man's partially extended arm, before pushing the elbow upward, Ruslan had effectively forced Kuu to lose his balance, in which the chair-master found himself stumbling as the knight continued with his motion. With a successful attempt at a forearm return, he soon forced the man onto the ground in a pronating wrist-lock, subduing him for ever the longest while. As he did so, the knight witnessed Kuu's lackeys, the ones who had been paralyzed in shock beforehand, rush the fledgeling mage.

"T-there's only one of 'im! If we rush all at once, beating 'im is possible!"
