Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

He nudged his wrist and the cards that had just been lying face down on the table all flipped face up in perfect unison. He ran his opposite hand over them to restack them, the perfect deck. His next trick was far simpler, removing the money from everyone’s pockets. ”Step up, step up just one hand could win you a thousand Jewels. Try your luck vs the dealer!” The first round was the one that pained him the most as he let the first few people up win while maintaining that sly smile and cheerful attitude. Under that sly smile he was already planning his turn, before long their own greed would devour them. Four hands in he was out of pocket nearly four thousand Jewels, but all the dark haired young man could see was dollar signs as the men just kept thrusting their bills on the table as long as he kept matching. Finally it was time for fate to smile on the dealer. One man bet nearly two thousand at once and Ansen let the hidden mechanism under his sleeve deliver him the card he needed; all the sudden luck began to favor him but every man participating was sure they could swing it back their way.

The next hand he picked up another thousand jewels, three hundred, seven hundred, five hundred, another three hundred. He could feel the mood changing as the poor working class saps realized their wallets were feeling awfully light after payday. Ansen had done this too many times to overstay his welcome; just as tempers were starting to boil and men realized they’d just gambled away every last cent they had Ansen ended the game. Before they even had the chance to get angry and violent he was moving back down the street, this time the sly smile was real.

Ansen had never actually stayed in Belladonna before, passed through, but never stayed. This particular part of the city was what he had heard referred to as the lesser wealthy, to him it still looked pretty damn wealthy. He gawked at the over the top architecture as simple doorways arched as if they were the entrance to the King’s very own throne room. Honestly these people were begging for someone like him to come and swindle them out of all their money.

Ansen stuck out a bit in his usual outfit and suede jacket, while these people were undoubtedly very accustomed to flamboyant colors they were generally not as used to them being so cheap. That didn’t bother him though, he wasn’t like these people and didn’t want to be. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the herb he’d rolled earlier. Damn, he was down to his last one too. He lit it and put it to his lips for a single long drag, the familiar feel of the smoke traveling down to his lungs immediately saw his endorphins flood his body with warmth. He exhaled up into the air and just kept his eyes skyward for a moment while he walked, it was getting dark; Ansen couldn’t see any starts.

It hadn't been long since he finished his training with Venurium. After departing with his beloved teacher, Sachio walked a lighter path. Lighter in the sense that he was no longer clouded with feelings of revenge and anger. Make no mistake, Sachio was still slightly broody. That was just part of him. Lately, Sachio had been keeping up with the training regimens Venurium had taught him. He was still learning on his own. His power was constantly evolving. He had taught himself a few more ways to utilize his magic in the past couple days. He had been pushing himself hard in Artorius's manor training room. He couldn't slack ever. This was who he was now. Pure destructive force. He still had quite a ways to go before he reached his fellow Dragon Slayer's ability, but he would get there. He had to.

After an intense day of pushing himself to his limit, Blair approached him with an idea. "You have been working awfully hard. Perhaps you need to relax? Not everyday needs to be a 'break my body' day." She wasn't wrong. "I...I suppose." Sachio was apprehensive since he didn't want to lapse in his training. "Just one night. After that, you can lock yourself away and train yourself to death. Just get out for once." Sachio sighed loudly and grabbed a nearby towel. He draped it around his neck and walked out of the room knowing that he wasn't going to win an argument with Blair. Looks like he was going out tonight. It was a good thing she caught him before his session lasted any longer, since he would have been far too tired to want to do anything other than rest.

After a nice relaxing shower, Sachio and Blair were ready to get dressed go out. That shower may or may not have been together. "Have you decided where we are going?" Sachio asked as he dried his hair with a shake of a towel. "Hmm, perhaps Belladonna? Seems like a cool place to visit. Technology. Pretty sights. Lots of bars." Sachio nodded in approval at the idea. "You're the boss. Let's do it." The two of them switched into nice clothes that were slightly more formal than their usual. Sachio wore a vest and white dress shirt that still showed his dark style, while Blair wore a long white shirt that featured many buttons and a sleeker style. It was time to hit Belladonna.

After a short train ride from Dandelion, Sachio and Blair made their way to whatever bar the first person they asked told them about. Sachio stopped a random man with dark red hair and pale skin where the best bar in town was. "Uh. Do I know you?" The man responded before walking away in disgust. Blair's hand was already on her sword. Sachio merely chuckled, knowing that if he was his old self, that man would have been dead. Still, he felt a compulsion to hurt him for the rudeness. He resisted and asked the next person. "Best bar in town?" He asked a blonde woman with pigtails. "Totally. That would be like the Hanged Man. That place is like, super tight." Sachio thanked the woman after she answered his follow up his first question with where he could find it. With a place in mind, the duo set out for the Hanged Man.

That was the problem with these big cities, they were bright even at night. Ansen didn’t necessarily mind it but he’d always liked those more quaint places where you could lose yourself to a dark corner and no one would even notice. He’d been to numerous places like that, he had quite a fondness for places like that. He took another long drag and continued on, he was slowly making his way towards a more suitable environment for people of his ilk, or better put everyone would be drunk or high where he intended to go so no one would be able to focus long enough to give him an awkward glance. Well, that wouldn’t quite do either, he was feeling the itch for some company tonight.

He turned a sharp corner and immediately started to see the difference between the artsy part of town and the entertainment district. It wasn’t drastic, but it was clear. The buildings started to become more uniform, their doorways far less ornate. Sure you still saw the arched double doors here and there but that was quickly fading, another few minutes of walking and he began to see the quickly blossoming nightlife. It was still fairly early so the signs were a bit different, scantily clad women in shoes that wouldn’t still be on their feet in an hour, men wearing cloths they didn’t feel comfortable in with smells so powerful they could nearly knock out an ox, and finally the sound. It cut through the night and told him that he’d arrived. The unorganized din of a dozen groups having a dozen different conversations, this place felt like home.

He ducked behind a corner for a moment and removed his jacket, the next second a flurry of cards erupted around him and in the hand that was holding the suede jacket was now a dark checkered blazer with a small ace of spades sewn into the left collar. He wasn’t trying to stand out this time, he was simply trying to blend in. He put the jacket on, exited the alley, and entered one of the more lively spots on the entire street. He hadn’t caught the name but there was an ugly pig head hanging outside.

Places such as Belladonna always had a boisterous night life. Sachio could already hear the loud people before he even made it to the part of town they filled. Still, it was to be a fun night. Sachio didn't really mind the type of people who frequented the bars and clubs. He tended to fit in with them, really. Blair on the other hand, was quick to show her disdain at the obnoxious men and women that had a bit too much to drink. If it weren't for Sachio, she likely would have killed quite a few people on many of their outings such as this one. In the past, he wanted to join her in the 'clean up' of these people, but his better judgement had stopped him. Now, Sachio was a lot more agreeable and a lot less stabby. This didn't mean he was soft now, which people would find out if they provoked him.

They waded through the crowds of people who filled the streets outside of various bars. Sachio frowned as the smell of these people assaulted his nose. He hadn't been to places like these since he received his increased senses. It was quite overwhelming. Blair's face showed the same unhappiness it always did. They both made their way to the Hanged Man and waited in line to enter. This bar had a bouncer at the door to turn away underage people. Blair was four feet tall. The large burly man who guarded the door in a black shirt and sunglasses was distracted currently. Sachio and Blair were fast enough and agile enough to sneak through. They looked at each other and smirked. They knew what the other was thinking. In an instant, they were both gone. All that was left as a shadowy image of the pair of mages. The people in the crowd and line were so preoccupied that they didn't even notice what happened. Life went on uninterrupted for them.

Inside the Hanged Man, Sachio and Blair would find that it fit the description of a place like the lady that told them about it would frequent. Fast paced music with heavy bass filled the establishment. Standing at the entrance, Sachio and Blair would look around and take in the atmosphere. The bar wasn't that large, but the way the space was utilized was great. In the far right corner there was a DJ standing behind his small booth that was right in front of a small and very crowded dance floor. It was a bar, not a club, so the space used for dancing wasn't meant to be impressive. A few feet away was the bar itself. A long L shaped bartop stretched along the back wall. Multiple stools lined it, seating around twenty people. On the left wall, there were a few booths for those who wanted a more intimate time with people as opposed to the open space of the bar area. The middle of the bar was filled by two pool tables and a poker table. Sachio and Blair headed straight towards the bar, only to order drinks though. They wanted a booth. "Bottle of red wine. Any red. I trust your judgement. Also one white pergrandian. Thank you!" With a strange look, the barkeep took their request and provided them with their drinks. Sachio and Blair retired to their booth and took a moment to just adjust to the scene.

Ansen moved through the crowd, it was a busy night. Most of the tables and booths were already occupied and those that weren’t would be soon, the night was still young. As the man moved through the crowd he simply enjoyed the feel of it, the heat, the contact, hell even the smell was a wonderful mess of perfumes and sweat. He loved every minute of it.

He smiled as he gently bumped into a young blonde woman. She had a wonderful smell, something mixed with plenty of jasmin, a flower of some type he was sure of it. She moved off towards the door and he pressed deeper into the bar. It wasn’t too much of a fight for him to reach the bar on the back wall and when he did he found a smiling brunette in a low cut top waiting to take his order. It was a brilliant tactic, show a little cleavage and smile and wallets opened. Ansen didn’t begrudge her anymore than he did the whore who jumped into his bed at the end of the night, it was just another game and you had to play with the hand you were given. On some level he was sure that if he had breasts like hers he’d want to put them on display as often as possible.

“Rhum Depoz Blanca in soda water with something spicy, surprise me.” If he was going to enjoy the upper class nightlife he would damn well drink like it. She returned with a tall glass of nearly clear bubbly liquid with a golden streak running through it. It almost looked like someone had mixed the drink and then melted down gold to spider through it. She was good, if he hadn’t intended to steal the jewels to pay for his night he might have considered dropping a big tip on her, but then he’d have to dip into his after party fund. He grabbed the drink and took a sip, better to start slow with something like that. It had that sweet rum burn immediately followed by the spicy finish he was looking for. He smiled at her and walked away from the bar, now to set up.

Ansen once again navigated through the crowd but this time with a bit more discretion; he didn’t want to spill his drink before he added buzzed to his list of accomplishments for the night. He found an empty table, sat down, pulled the clean deck from his holster, and baited the trap. See if there was one thing that most men couldn’t resist when they started drinking it was competition, and since most of them didn’t really want to whip out their manhood in public to impress their ladies they looked for other outlets, Ansen just happened to be holding that outlet. A simple game of chance that every man thought he had some power over when really only one of them did. As soon as Ansen started to shuffle and then deal himself in another guy showed up ready to play, then another, and another, before long his table was full of half drunken meatheads with pretty little floosies standing behind them wishing them luck or encouraging them to stop playing.

Ansen was good at this, none of them lost too much but they all lost just a bit more to him than they won from each other. They were all as dumb as they looked. He went to take another drink only to have the unfortunate realization that he was already down to nothing but the ice. It was time for a refill and he was done taking the morons money. He walked back up to the bar, the dance floor had finally filled, once again he was greeted by the welcoming smile of the busty brunette. He leaned a bit more over the counter this time. ”How about you make me your favorite” It was a bad move, but hell he was holding a bunch of money he’d cheated to win and he was feeling lucky.

She came back with something that smelled like it had come from the bottom shelf, Ansen was immediately sure that she had thrown something strong in a splash of soda. He really hated himself for that, he’d been sucked into the ravine beneath her smile the same way all the other schmucks had been. He walked away from the counter with his mess of a drink. His eyes caught an odd sight and, maybe it was the combination of alcohol with whatever it was that he’d been smoking earlier, but he just had to find out how they’d gotten a kid into the bar and why she was drinking.

He moved to the table with the short girl and the strange looking man, he had odd eyes. Ansen was sure he’d mixed something wrong because he could have sworn the guy had black eyes with red pupils. He shook that off as a bad trip and pulled a chair up to the edge of their booth before straddling the backwards chair. ”So is it like take your child to the bar day or what?”

As time went by, the bar became more and more energetic. The power of alcohol. Sachio had already finished his bottle and Blair was on her second drink by now. The two of them were feeling pretty good by now. "Come dance with me." Blair said to Sachio with a pouty face. Sachio laughed in response. "Last time we danced it didn't work out too well, shorty." He responded. Blair's face instantly turned into one of sadness. "You're no fun. I will dance without you." "By all means, go for it. You and I both know what will happen." Blair then put her elbow on the table and rested her head in her hand. "Fine. Want to play some poker?" Sachio was actually fine with this idea. "I suppose we could do that. Let me grab another bottle of wine and we can have a seat at the table." Sachio sat up a bit to peek over the booth so he could see the table. There were still three open seats left which was perfect for him and Blair to join. "I am getting another drink too." Blair said with a huff. Sachio rolled his eyes because he knew that the more she drank, the more belligerent she was going to be.

Sachio was about to get up from the booth when someone came and sat down at their table. The first thing out of their mouth wasn't a good way to start a conversation. Sachio teased Blair all the time about her height and she hated it, so having a stranger do it...was surely a mistake on their end. Blair reached her right hand to her blade on her back. Sachio however was laughing, as he had found the man to be amusing. Blair's face on the other hand was filled with anger. "Oh calm down Blair. He was just kidding." Sachio reached a hand out to her to placate her. With a sighed, but still with an angry face, Blair lowered her hand from her weapon. "We were just about to sit down at the poker table. There are three spaces if you want to join. Blair can get her revenge on you that way instead of murdering you like she surely would." Sachio even smiled at the man. Blair was still getting used to the difference in Sachio's personality ever since he came back from the training with Venurium. She admired his new power surely, but the difference in him was drastic.

Ansen watched as the young woman contorted with irritation, or was it rage, it didn’t matter so much. What was amusing is that it was her who got angry and not her apparent date, unless of course she wasn’t his date at all. He just laughed the Ace of Fates comment off like it was nothing. Ansen still couldn’t decide if he was hallucinating the man’s dark eyes, but it felt likely, he’d never heard of a black eyed, red pupiled person before, then again it wasn’t that hard to imagine existing. If there was ever a man to have black eyes it would have been a guy who styled himself like this one, he had to have gone through some weird cosmetic surgery or something, maybe that’s also what happened to his hair.

”Ya just a joke little lady” He said innocently. She was incredibly small, far too small for his own liking. He still couldn’t decide if she was simply a dwarf or a child masquerading as an adult. He focused in a bit more, she had cat ears and yellow eyes. He almost kicked himself for not noticing it before.

Ansen got a bit of sly smile at the man’s second offer, ”I’d love to join you, can I get you anything to drink...was it Blair?” He stood up and slid the chair out from under him and back to the round table behind them in one smooth motion. He’d seen a few of the cat people before but never quite this close, were they all so small? Maybe she really was a bit of a child, but then again she had clearly been partaking of the wine with her friend. He listened to the woman’s request and then headed back to the bar. He’d found something to be slightly interested in now. After having another drink made in which he was far more specific for himself he then added a bottle of wine and headed to the card table his two yet unintroduced associates had made their way to.

He hadn’t offered to bring the man she was with anything to drink on purpose, he was weird but not necessarily interesting. He sat two seats to the left of the dark eyed man after setting the wine bottle between he and his small companion, ”So, what are we playing, five card draw?”

The mention of receiving a drink helped ease Blair's temper. In fact, a slight smile just barely showed itself on the edge of her lips. "Fine. I will accept." She said, relaxing her body so that she didn't look as aggressive. Not that a tiny cat lady was that intimidating. Blair was not the one to underestimate though. Sachio watched with amusement as the man spoke to Blair. He seemed more interested in her than himself, which he didn't mind. Blair was oblivious to things such as that so he took pleasure in seeing her have no idea what was going on. Although deep down it did always slightly bother him when this stuff happened. He was protective of his partner. Fortunately for this man, Sachio didn't find him threatening enough to unsettle him. Sachio and Blair watched as the man smoothly moved away from the booth to grab the drink he promised. Sachio figured now was a good time to get his wine, so he followed the man to the bar. They both ordered wine and then went straight to the poker table.

Sachio sat on the outside of the three seats with Blair in the middle and the man on the other end. Blair was already enjoying the bottle of wine she was given. At the mention of the game, Sachio looked at the current players and noticed they were playing Highnoon Hold'em. "Looks like it's a two card game. Highnoon Hold'em. Judging from your flair, I know you understand the game. The spade on your clothing is a nice touch. Try not to ruin the game for everyone, Ace." Sachio said jokingly. The dealer finished the round he was on then let the three new players pay their way in and become part of the game. It was then the start of a new hand and everyone was given their two cards. Sachio was dealt a: 6 of Clubs and a King of Clubs. Blair was dealt a: 7 of Hearts and a Jack of Diamonds. Sachio was happy to get a matching suit, but his joy didn't show on his face. He know how to hold a poker face. Blair barely understood the game, so her face was blank as well. Sachio's vision would pick up even the slightest facial tick, his smell would detect even trace amounts of sweat, and his hearing would pick up the change in heart rate, if anyone tried to bluff.

Ansen was sitting without a smile, his poker face was good. That being said he had no interest in actually playing this to win. He was here because something had piqued his interest, that something happened to be a seat over from him, stood maybe a bit over four feet, and had cat ears. He slid into a comfortable smile at the dark eyed man’s comments. ”Well, I like to think of myself as quite the card’s player,” he began, a bit unsure of whether or not the young man was hinting at the fact that Ansen was a bit of a cheat or if he it was something else. Was this guy watching him earlier? He would give it a few hands to feel out the situation. ”but the cards fall how they fall, can’t do much to change that.” That wasn’t really the case but if he’d been watching him or knew something there was no need to highlight it.

Ansen left his jewels on the table before the cards were dealt, but then again they weren’t really his jewels, he’d just taken them from the schmucks who thought they could outplay him earlier. The dealer let the cards fly, he was a bit sloppy and fumbled over the more intricate shuffling moves as he went, even his deal was a bit slow and sloppy. Maybe it was just his high expectations, but he struggled to wipe the look of disgust off his face during the whole ordeal. When he finally finished Ansen took a slight breath and lifted the edge of his cards, a three of hearts and five of spades. He let himself smile a bit but it wasn’t out of excitement. The bet came his way and he matched what was going around the table. He didn’t intend to win this round so all he had to do was calmly set the pace.

The betting went around the table once before the dealer dealt the flop, a six of hearts, jack of clubs, and finally a king of spades. None of those made Ansen’s hand any better and that was just how he liked it, he needed to see if the dark eyed weird had made him earlier. ”I never got your name.” he was speaking to Sachio but he hadn’t necessarily specified that. Once he was sure the man hadn’t caught his game he’d do everything he could to simply ignore his presence but until then he needed to push him. The bet came back around to Ansen and once again he matched the bet that came before him. He could have folded there, his hand was garbage, but he wanted to push it just a bit further. The dealer burned a card and then the Turn came next, a 4 of clubs.

Once again the betting round ran, this time he Ansen raised the pot. He didn’t have anything but he still had that comfortable grin on his face. What was losing a hand or two to a guy who made his own luck? Once again the Dealer burned a card and finally the River, a King of hearts. ”So Blair, not to seem rude but I’ve never met anyone quite like you, can you tell me where you are from?”

Silently studying the room, Sachio was having more fun observing the players than actually playing the game. People were amusing to him. He was always trying to figure them out. What made them tick. What drove them to do the things they did. After becoming a new man, he better understood how the mind functioned. He got a detailed look at the inner workings of his own mind when Venurium trained him the ways of her magic. Just remembering her training made his body ache. He had forgotten how many times he suffered from her poison as she taught him. It just goes to show how effective of a tool Poison is. A few of the players were dead giveaways. Meanwhile, the man who had joined them was much more calm. His heartbeat was steady and not a drop of sweat left his body. His face had a slight smile, but that alone wasn't enough to make Sachio question him. As he thought, this guy was a professional. Sachio was intrigued by this. Perhaps this game would be fun after all. He drank deep his bottle of wine, bringing it to half empty, before calling the bet on the table.

The first cards were laid out on the table and that started another round of betting. These cards gave Sachio two pair and one card away from a flush. How fortunate. Soon after, the man had asked Sachio his name. "I am Sachio. This angry cat is Blair, as you know. And you are?" Sachio said calmly. Names were indeed important things. Sachio made things more interesting and raised the bet to 10,000 Jewels. He hoped it wasn't too big to make people quit. Unfortunately some did though. He merely shrugged. Blair however, not as experienced, was smiling because she had a pair now. She called Sachio's bet, which amused him even further. "You're going down SachiHo." Blair teased. She was drunk. Sachio laughed and watched as the dealer placed the last card down. It was another king. This gave him a full house. For those still in the game, he raised one last time by 20,000 Jewels. He was cutting straight to the point, but since he raised on the last card which happened to be another king, it was obvious that he must have had one due to the other one being on the table and then his increase of Jewels subsequently. Blair looked at the man who addressed her and frowned. "I'm not from anywhere really. I was...formed? Ask Sachio, he knows this stuff." Sachio sighed and finished the information. "I did some exploring. Lost my previous magic which included my beloved partner, but the source of my new magic was benevolent and created Blair with my previous partner's 'soul'. That gave her the bond I had previously, but inside a new being." He remembered the pain of losing the last Blair. He wouldn't ever forget that.
