Arc Link The elegant, blooming city of Poinsettia. A city where man and nature met, as each building was like a large series of tree houses. It was a mixture of stone modern structures and streets with plenty of trees that grew alongside or inside the buildings. The city was a place of magic in of itself. Much has changed for Syeena since she been to her home town. She joined Grimore Heart. Traveled around a bit. She even got stronger at her magic. With her trusty feline companion and familiar on her shoulder, she returned home. One would of thought it was odd for someone allied with Grimore heart to be from a town so close to Blue Pegasus, the light guild. But there was another reason why she lived in Poinsettia for such a time. Her home was indeed in this magical city, a cathedral where she was raised. But there was more to this cathedral than meet the eye. Syeena moved through the streets in her usual witch-like attire, with the cowl and cut attire of a witch. Truthfully, there were many people around Poisenttia that were dressed in sorcerer and sorceress capes and cowels. They wouldn't notice her as she was now, wearing her robe, skirt, and such. The Grimore Heart Tattoo on her thigh-- maybe that would cause attention but she kept her footing quick and moved along. Even if someone did notice, she would be gone before they could get a better look at her legs. She knew the streets of Poinsettia better than anywhere else, and knew of a few secret passages that ran through the town via the underground roots. What drew more attention to her than that was the black cat perched upon her shoulders, who wore an actual witch's hat. The little black cat with violet coloring to her fur kept close as Syeena walked along. "Been a long time since we been here, huh?" Hex, the black cat Exceed on her shoulders said to Syeena as she walked down the market street. Syeena nodded as she pressed on, going in the direction near the center of the city. She had returned for one of many reasons, one of which being to see her family again. But in the back of her mind, she wanted to finally try her hand at earning her 'birthright'. As she made her way down the street, little did she know she would run into a familiar face, and one who would be a valued ally in her journey. |

Snow loved Poinsettia. It was not her home, by any means, but she adored coming to check in on her recently acquired bar which happened to hold a vast array of memories. The city never changed, not really. The faces did but that was all. The woman with dark hair had it tied back today, attempting to tame the unruly curls which attacked her face as the wind picked up. People knew her by name here, and called out, waving cheerily. She had been running the bar/inn long enough that people had come to see her as one of them, as one of those people who were a prominent and useful member of their society. What she did on her own time seemed to be her own business, which suited her just fine. There was a sign out on the sidewalk which had the day's specials listed, as well as any deals they were currently running on rooms. She liked that she had something somewhat normal to attend to, though of late it was becoming a bit of a burden. She had received a letter a few days before, replying to her Help Wanted sign which amounted to an impressive resume. Some girl named Kaede who was apparently all about the cooking. She could live with that, and would probably hire the girl so she wouldn't have to be here all the time. She had been sort of neglecting her duties to the guild in order to make sure her business didn't fall through. Now she was simply waiting on the girl to arrive in town sometime in the next two weeks, since she was coming from the North apparently, and then she would do the real interview. To be honest, If half what the girl said in her letter was true, she was already well suited to this position. It was with some surprise that she saw someone she knew moving through the throngs of the crowd. She didn't know her well to be certain. But she knew of her within the guild. In their efforts to keep people updated, they tended to send out missives from time to time when new people joined. These would have pictures of the new person along with some vague details so that they didn't end up shooting one another on accident thinking they were rivals. Syeena, she though the woman's name was. They were moving in opposite directions down the same street, and Snow was sure their courses would intersect before she made it to the Lavender Dog. She stopped before Syeena and smiled slightly. "Hello there. Fancy seeing you in a place like this." Her tone was friendly, and greeting casual. She used a flurry of handsigns which were particular to Grimoire Heart members to convey a different sort of message. "What are you doing here? Is everything ok? Do you need a place to hide?" She awaited the response, hoping nothing had gone wrong at the guild hall, and that all was well with this person who was her guild mate, and therefore her responsibility after a fashion. |

The two were soon heading for the general area where Syeena could find the path to reach her home. THe 'cathedral' where she was raised, if one would call it that. As Hex remained perched upon her shoulders, movement in front of them caught her attention. Through the crowd, another woman stood in their path with a kind expression on her face. She looked like a ranger, and a good few inches taller than Syeena was. Both looked up to her, seeing she handled herself well. Even Syeena felt a little jealous... her 'teeth' were bigger than her. Even so, something about her stuck out in Syeena's mind. She knew this girl from somewhere. It took her a while as she did see it somewhere... then her expression lifted, her eyes widened with realization. She did know her! She was from Grimore Heart, having seen her briefly in that dreary guild hall. She had never had the chance to interact with her up till now, but there she was. It was rare to find other girls in Grimore Heart-- at least the ones who you could have a mature conversation with. She did greet them, but did a few hand signs. Syeena looked at her calmly, while Hex however furrowed her brow at her. "Psst. I think this girl is crazy. Let's walk away and nod before the loony bin comes and get her, " the cat replied, being her usually sassy self. Syeena just glanced at Hex the Cat with a bothered look and took a breath. "Hex, relax. She is a friend, remember? From the guild." she said, saying only the 'guild' to hide their real guild's name. Still, Syeena turned to Snow. "Hi there. Good to see you again. " she said casually. "You know, those are not necessary. This is my home town. I'm perfectly safe here. " She said to inform Snow of her safety. It was the only reason why she was not clad in her more 'hidden clothing' of the Fool Persona. "I've seen you around but you never have time to chat," Syeena said, reaching out a hand to shake her's. "I'm Syeena. The sassy cat on my shoulder is Hex," she greeted and introduced themsleves, Hex simply tilting her witch's hat and swishing her tail. That being said, Syeena could understand Snow's need for secrecy. Luckily the ally she was going to was nearby, that led to her destination. "Want to walk-and-talk if you have the time?" she said, and gave a casual bob of her head in the direction of the ally she wanted to go to. |

[[Sorry for my delay Z. Expect posts mostly on Wednesdays. It's my only day off right now.]] Snow eyed the little cat and sighed. She had encountered so many people lately whose familiars didn't know the signals these days. It was hard to prove you were part of the right people when the right people didn't bother to learn how to tell one another apart. She kept her annoyance to a minimum though. It was a bit of a surprise to learn that Seyeena was from Poinsettia. "All right then." She shuffled her bag of groceries over to her other hip and smiled. "Walking and talking it is. I'm just headed back to the inn I own." She pointed in the direction of the Lavender Dog, whose wooden sign swung within sight on the street, though it was still a ways down. She didn't think there would be much issue with just walking with someone she didn't really know. Hopefully the girl didn't have any outstanding warrants in her home town. "So what brings you and Hex around here? Anything in particular?" She thought maybe it might be guild business, until she realized that the guild didn't usually send people to commit crimes in their own homes. Something about not shitting where one eats. Or sleeps in this case. Snow waited for the answer as her shop grew closer, listening intently to whatever answer she was given. "This is me. Come on in. I will get you guys something to eat. Special discount, of course." She gave a wink as she made her way into the Lavender Dog. The girl helping her out took Snow's entrance as her cue to take a break. She hadn't been there long, but she was working out really well so far. Just needed a little more training. Not a lot though. She was surprisingly talented at all the things Snow needed her to do. If only she could remember the girl's name... But that was hardly important. She gestured to a couple of seats at the bar which then became magically empty. People here cleared the way for her as if she were a queen. The person pouring their drinks, keeping their tabs, and fixing their food was someone worthy of their respect. At least this early in the night. She didn't have many issues with people who were disrespectful. She tended to nip that in the bud pretty quickly. Usually the violent way. Thus word had gotten around town that not only was this a good place to eat, but it was also a good place to drink, and not full of riff raff. "You guys just sit there and decide what you want. There's not much I can't make if you want it. Now, you were telling me why you were here?" She was nothing if not hospitable. She was only slightly interested in why her guildmate was here. Just a quick visit home, or whatever. She was ...what was the word...Showing polite interest, and nothing else really. |

Snow could tell that Hex was a sassy cat, but it didn't take a genius to know that as Syeena held her cat companion as they walked. It was the genuine direction of the place Syeena had been going. Still, Snow was a pleasant member of Grimore Heart, someone she actually respected. "My trip here is purely personal," Syeena explained, following Snow as they walked. She was still on guard but was sure she meant no ill will. "This is my home town so I am visiting my family here. Well, My coven to be clear," she said in a soft enough tone since no one around could hear them, but still for secrecy sake. They were invited into the lavander dog, which made Hex's whiskers droop. "Typical... a dog taking us to a dog joint. If they have a no-cat policy, I am gonna go cat-a-strophic on them..." the cat said, flexing her claws lightly. "Heeeex..." the black haired girl said, gently patting her both lovingly and to calm down her partner. As they entered, Syeena sat down and Hex hopped on the table to a respective side. "White Russian. Hold the kalula, hold the vodka, hold the ice." she said-- her usual drink of 'cream'. As Syeena rolled her eyes at the cat's predictable drink, she turned to Snow. "My clan has been a supporter of ... our guild, for a while now. Though independent, we have high regard for them. Anyway, I don't suppose you know of them? The Umbra Witches?" she asked, curious to know if Snow knew about them herself. While they talked, Syeena took out her tarot cards, appearing in a flash of light via her exquipt magic. One by one, she placed them before her, performing a personal reading. A habit she usually did. |
