Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The city of Poinsettia was, for lack of a better term, beautiful. The combination of nature and stone blended perfectly together, giving the city a unique feel that couldn't be matched anywhere else. And it was the type of place that Donko hated. Well, hate was a strong word. It might be more accurate to say that he had strong feelings of dislike for Poinsettia. Not the city itself per say, but the people who lived their.

From what he could tell, most of the average, everyday people that he saw there were either visiting or passing through. The people who seemed to reside in Poinsettia were the high class, the upper crust, the type of people who turned their noses down to others. The "holier than thou" types that he couldn't stand. Fortunately for him, they weren't the reason that he'd come here. He'd heard a few rumors recently that there was a strange animal in the Lavender Forest, a savage creature that had attacked several people. From what he'd heard so far, it had killed three and injured 4 others. A creature like that might be worth running into, but before he tried to find it, he'd try and get some information first.

And so, his information search began in Poinsettia. He'd been poking around businesses all around town, and he hadn't learned much from anyone. It didn't seem like any of the people wanted to talk about the creature. He'd tried to track down the survivors of the attack, but he had no luck with that, considering he had no idea how to find them. Donko was running out of patience for these cowardly people. Couldn't they see he was on a mission for greatness? He was beginning to get frustrated with his lack of clues, and without warning, as he walked down the street he kicked over a trashcan, startling several nearby people. "Is there no one in this city who knows about this damned creature?!Jeez!!"

Vivian munched an apple as she wandered the streets of Poinsettia, not having a particular destination in mind. She had spent the day getting to know the city, it’s layout, what the people were like, all that fun stuff. It hadn’t been the best of days, but she supposed it could have been worse. Probably wasn’t going to be where she decided to settle down though, that much was obvious even now. Still since she was here anyway and leaving so soon seemed like a waste Vivian decided to investigate some rumors.

Apparently there was a thing killing people in the Lavender Forest. The people she talked to seemed to think it was an animal of some sort, others thought it was a person or magical creature. Whatever it was, it hadn’t attracted the attention of the guild yet because it was still on the loose. Eventually the city would find a way to deal with it no doubt but Viv had never been one to shy from a challenge, doubly so if it meant some people might live to see another day from it. Annoyingly for her, no one really knew anything… or if they did they didn’t trust an outsider? Whichever the case happened to be, she knew nothing more at the end of the day than when she started.

She was about to just throw caution to the winds and head into the forest herself to find the blasted thing when she noticed a commotion. Well, less noticed a commotion as much as became embroiled in it when a trash can rolled at her propelled by an angry kick. Stopping it with her foot and righting it by applying pressure with her heel against its base (mainly to not actually touch it with her hands, bacteria-ridden thing it no doubt was) she stared at the man responsible. Taking one last bite from her apple she dropped it into the can and responded to his question although he probably hadn’t been actually looking for an answer.

”If they knew much then I doubt it would still be a problem.”

Leaning against the wall and crossing her arms she appraised him more closely. Nodding slightly to herself she decided to take a chance and introduce herself. Anger and passion often went hand in hand, one didn’t get worked up over something they didn’t care about. Now why he cared about this creature was another story, that she had no idea about, but the fact that he cared at all was a step in the right direction. Not moving from her position a short way away from the stranger she continued speaking, her green eyes unblinkingly boring a hole through him.

”Name’s Vivian. I take it you’re hunting the thing too?”

Donko wrung his hands in midair as if he were grasping someone's throat. Somebody had to know something! There was no way that this entire town was oblivious to the goings on of Lavender Forest, there had to be SOMEONE who knew something! Donko inhaled deeply, preparing to yell out his frustrations, when a voice to his left drew his attention. And so he turned, feet spread apart, chest out, arms raised to his chest, head back to lament his displeasure, to see a woman. Breaking from his odd posture, he straightened up, cocking his head at her as he looked her up and down. "Naw. Somebody knows something. It's a problem because they're all cowards." He put his hands on his hips, casting a sneer over his shoulder. "This town is full of nothing but pampered, prissy rich people, with not a spine among the lot of them..."

Leaning up against the wall, the girl introduced herself as Vivian, revealing that she too was hunting the strange creature. Donko gave her another once over before taking a step closer to her. She didn't seem like your average girl. Judging by the gaze that she had set upon him, she was calculating, level headed. Her attire alone suggested that she was the type to live off the land or someone who was constantly expecting combat. She was a looker, but it was obvious that it wasn't her looks that she prioritized. She was a woman on a mission. All in all, he liked her.

Giving her a lopsided grin, he raised his right hand up and tapped the left side of his chest twice as he spoke. "The name is Donko, the most dangerous man on the planet. You may affectionately refer to me as 'The Don', if you so please. Take heart, I don't give many people that honor right off the back." Then his expression turned serious. "But yeah, I'm looking for that thing. I've heard it that was attacking people, already has a few confirmed kills. I'm gonna take it down. You heard anything specific about it?"

Hoh boy… the most dangerous man on the planet. Admittedly Vivian had not run into all that many people with abilities above her own in the year she had been in Fiore, but something told her the pinnacle of power was unlikely to be lurking around the streets of Poinsettia kicking trash cans. At least it promised to be an interesting night, regardless of if she found her query or not. As she waited for Donko’s answer she remained impassive, nodding to herself occasionally.

At first Vivian wasn’t entirely certain how to respond. It was tempting to have back up for once, if only because the situation was less than ideal. Shrugging, she went with it. ”Nada. I don’t like the idea but at this point the only thing left was for me to go in blind. I’ll find it and neutralize it, or it’ll find me and add me to its kill count.” She shrugged again, looking thoughtful. ”I guess I could keep trying with the people around here, but the more I wait the more people are at risk. Although I suppose if I had the most dangerous man on the planet with me I’d be a good deal safer.” A good-natured smile accompanied the teasing remark.

If Donko was in it for the glory then he could have it, she wasn’t going to get in the way. All she cared about was that the job got done sooner rather than later. As such if Donko wanted to team up and even take the lead then she would gladly follow, but only for as long as she perceived their progress together was faster than she could move on her own.

It sounded like from what Vivian was saying, she didn't have much of a plan. Though to be fair, neither did Donko. He'd hoped to knock on a few doors and get some answers, then go hunting. But of course, things seldom went as smoothly as planned. When Vivian made a comment about Donko being the most dangerous man alive, he let out a short bark of a laugh. "Well, don't fall in love with me or anything. I know how much women love danger." Joking aside, he walked past her, beckoning for her to follow. "I'm not quite done with investigation just yet though. I have a few more leads that I want to check out before heading after this thing. If my hunch is correct, we might not have to go into this completely blind after all."

Leading her down the street, he had both hands shoved into his pockets, chest out, taking wide but short steps. The way that he walked made many people have to give him a wide berth to pass without bumping into him, a means for him to draw attention to himself. As he walked, he cast a sidelong look back at Vivian. "Not to be nosy or anything, but why are you after this thing? A pretty girl like you, surely you would be chasing after the next big sale?" The sarcasm was evident in his voice as he gave her a playful grin.

"Of course, if it ain't none of my business, it ain't none of my business. Personally, I'm after this thing for my own reasons. I don't much care about the people of this town, that's for damn sure, but I do care about stopping this thing. I like to look at it as training. There's no better training than one that puts your life on the line..."

”Well of course if you have any leads then be my guest,” motioning for him to take the lead. Worst case scenario she lost a few hours following Donko around. Best case scenario she learned something that would later save her life. It really wasn’t a bad deal. Vivian walked behind Donko in silence, her partisan clanking on the stone rhythmically in sync with her step. Finally out on something resembling a mission, it was hard to not feel like a soldier again. Memories from that first life were rarer, but still just as vivid when they came.

It became hard for her to focus on her surroundings, so she picked one thing and tried to focus in it to the exclusion of everything else. The only thing making any sense of course being Donko in this situation, as he strutted down the street as if he owned it. Fighting back the sense of vertigo that often accompanied the dual vision, Viv did her best to keep herself in the now and answer her companion without drawing attention to her temporary moment of crisis.

She let out a short, forced laugh. ”Let’s just say I don’t like the idea of ending up someone’s caged bird. The world’s too big for me to just sit around and get old. As to why this creature in particular... Call it scientific curiosity.” There was no way she could admit to something as sappy as “it killed innocents so now I have to hunt it down.” At least not to someone she just met. For all she knew it could be used against her later to show such a weakness, and that was the last thing she needed in her current state. Nodding further down the street they were taking she went on. "What leads are we looking into exactly?"
