Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It had been months since he had been home. Well, "home" was a subjective term in this case. Ever since his adoptive mother died he had been out of a real home. Poinsettia though was his home in his mind. He had left after the funeral and begun his journey in earnest. Now though he needed to return because he needed to collect what jewels she had left for him now that everything had been sorted. In the time since he left he had heard that the guild threw a huge yule time party. Not that he would have wanted to attend (he was far too shy to willingly subject himself to that) but he would have to meet more members of the guild he fully intended on joining once he was stronger and could live up to the "Guild of Hope" that was Blue Pegasus. Now though he was simply enjoying one of the simpler pleasures he so rarely got to enjoy nowadays.

Bathing.

Yes it was a bit cold but a little cold water didn't really bother him much. Adel had learned long ago to enjoy what little things life gave you. Inns costed money, money he didn't have right now so that meant he had no access to hot water or a soft bed. It was the forest floor and a dip in the river for him right now. Besides the cold water was refreshing.

Adel was, well, a beautiful young man of slender frame and fair features. More often than not he looked more like a girl than a boy but he was, indeed the latter. The typical bathing beauty in the woods was, unfortunately, not so typical. Also unfortunate was the fact that Adel's night time bath was doomed to be interrupted. Ah, the trappings of fate.

Wilde pulled himself off of the road, looking for a place to sit and rest for a while. He’d been journeying back to the city in order to return to collect new orders, however he was in no rush. He’d been sent out the week previously to a remote village to aid in some small time bandit unrest, there would always been pocket grabbing vagrants in the father reaches of the country where the normal transport system was unable to reach, however the problems had starting to grind on the locals who had little money to afford a guild mage to aid so had asked upon the knights. His trip had been uneventful, after crashing a small party of local street kids who’d been causing the trouble, a few less than delicate words had but them and the locals straight. Finding a low laying tree branch, the knight placed himself upon it, carefully at first to test how much weight it would bare, then once comfortable pulling one booted foot up. It had been a long walk through the forest and the outlaying country side, nothing he wasn’t accustomed to however the uneven floor and oscillating hills had made the journey more trouble than it seemed to be worth. In times like this Wilde questioned why the state didn’t just open up their transport routes to lower the frequency of the less remote parts of the country, but his protest was more out of quasi-exhaustion than concern for the locals. Lowering one leg, he picked up the other, carefully pushing at his ankles and giving them some time off of bearing his own weight, the armour he carried wasn’t heavy for over the distance it had become noticeable.

After his short break, the knight returned to walking back through the forest, this time veering off of the path, although it was meant to be the easiest way to travel around, the uncared sections in the recesses of the forest often seemed more over grown than the rest. Circling down a small dip in the earth, Wilde was pleased to see that his detour seemed to be much clearer.

It wasn’t long until certain things started to cause the knight a little uncertainty on the situation, small things at first. The way low laying branches had been felled, how small stones seem to litter the ground in odd fashions. Things that his mind started to knead at, but also tried to dismiss, there had been no reports of anything in the forest as of late, however all the small things that felt misplaced to Percival ground at the back of his mind. It didn’t take long to pass through the strange section of woods with no more signs of habitation, but Wilde couldn’t dismiss the gnawing feeling at the back of his mind.

Turning slightly back away from his path, he headed left, almost doubling back to move down deeper into the shallowed out part of the forest. It didn’t take long for him to stumble upon a series of rock pools, fed by a small river that arched its way through the trees, it’s water dipping in and out of the earth via caves. Making his way across the slightly more opened area that still was rather over grown by normal standards. The knight was surprised to see the back of a figure not to far away from him, by the looks of it a woman was bathing.

Placing his hand over the pommel of his sword but not drawing it, the knight approached cautiously, making sure his footsteps were heard in a methodical sort of way. “You there?” he called out, not as loud as for anyone else to hear. There was something about this place that made him feel uneasy, and although he wasn’t the sort to go above and beyond, technically he was still on duty, and out of a sense of despair and purpose he would quickly gather some information before dismissing the whole thing as him over thinking or acting upon what he had learnt.

Varriden had his hands tucked into his pockets as he walked through the Lavender forest. The forest was a lovely sight in the spring - the blossoms that the forest was famous for were in full bloom this time of year, and an interesting shade that was something close to lavender in color. Granted, there were other reasons people came to the Lavender forest - the guild of wishes, where people could buy and exchange wares from anywhere the traders had gotten goods from, and the rumored Realm of the Draghorn. The area itself was real, that much had been confirmed, but considering that the place itself was a mile-long staircase and led to a maze of things, but given how easy it would be to get lost, no one - at least to Varriden's knowledge - had ventured into that place, met whatever was down there, in the rumored Nest of the Draghorn, and come back.

The place was also popular with couples for the somewhat romantic atmosphere - Varriden himself could see it in context, though romantic stuff wasn't as much his area of expertise - too much time spent with his nose in the books to master the art of romance. Varriden walked between a cluster of trees and found one of the rivers that wound through the forest. He paused for a moment, just watching the water - there was something calming about it.

The calm didn't last, though, as he heard someone yell something downstream. Varriden glanced to his left - some sort of knight with spiky hair was looking even further downstream - Varriden spared a glance - at first glance, it appeared to be a woman bathing, but Varriden had a keen eye from years of scanning magic - the build of the shoulders and texture of the hair hinted that it might actually be a guy. Varriden ducked back behind the tree on one side, out of sight. No need for us both to get mistaken for peepers, Varriden thought. Almost want to tell the other guy that the person in the river is a guy, but I'd rather not be seen just at the moment, so he's on his own.
