It was a cold but jolly morning. Everyone's in the mood for a carol or two. Children were shaking boxes of wrspped gifts and tried to guess what's inside. People were both busy in and out of the house. Some ladies were roasting turkeys. While some were doing their last minute Christmas shopping. Along with those who were walking down the streets of Poinsettia was Reggie. She stood out among the crowd with her pink warm dress and white blazer made of fur. Her hands were covered with white gloves and she was wearing white boots with fur. She was carrying a big box that contains her gown for the ball. The seamstress just finished it last night and she came by to pick it up. Now, she's heading to the station where she will be meeting her boyfriend. She walked a few blocks as she left her carriage quite far from the shop. The traffic was horrible as people crowd the shopping district of Poinsettia. At last she found her carriage and went inside. The coachman quickly lead the carriage to the train station. Traffic seemed to tone down on their way to the station. Everyone was busy preparing for the winter ball. Unlike last year, the Blue Pegasus guild hosted it. This year, it would be bigger as the city had accepted to host it. People from near and far were glad about it as more non magical folks will be allowed to join. But even though the burden was lifted from the guild, Reggie was still busy for the rest of the day. She wasn't reall that energetic. Until a letter came from the mayor informing her to lead the first dance with her boyfriend. He knew Toshiro would be attending. He was in the Yule Ball last year. The blonde wizard now felt pressured as she and Toshiro didn't have much time to prepare. Toshiro is a fine dancer. But Reggie was still worried with the only time they got. And now she have to fetch him the train station. The carriage finally arrived at the station where Reggie went out, leaving her box of gown inside as she waited for the train from Magnolia. And aftwr fetching Tosviro, they need to meet up with Fleur. Reggie met her during the peace agreement between Bosco and Fiore. And she is a good friend of Jaxus and Jason, prominent member sof the guild. The two of them agreed to go Christmas shoppung together as she would help her choose the perfect dress for her. "Now where's my prince charming?" The blonde wizard said as she stood there, waiting for Toshiro. note

How had Adrian gotten roped into this? Sitting here in a carriage, dressed up in a suit flanked by Ozzy wearing a dress with a girl roughly his own age sitting opposite him. Balls and other high class events were not Adrian's thing at all yet here he was having been roped into it. Being in need of some additional money to cover upcoming Christmas expenses Adrian had gone out looking for work. His search for work had lead him to some kind of escort job and he'd taken it assuming it'd be about escorting somebody from point A to point B through dangerous territory. Of course after he'd agreed to take the job on it turned out he was actually supposed to escort somebody, a noblemen's daughter, to a Winter themed Ball in Poinsettia.It was not exactly Adrian's thing and so here he was in a carriage accompanied by Ozzy, the girl he was escorting and a large beetle resting atop his shoulder. The Take-Over Mage sighed his expression giving form to the negative emotions he harbored regarding this mission. While Adrian was clearly not carrying high hopes for this evening the girl he was escorting did not feel the same way as she had the widest smile upon her face. Adrian wan't sure if the reason for her smile was because of his presence or because she was actually attending this ball but, as he was prone to due to his low self-esteem, the Take-Over Mage assumed she was happy to be attending; after all who in their mind would want to attend a ball with a commoner like Adrian? Sure Adrian came from a long line of Fiorian Knights, or so he'd been lead to believe, but that didn't change the fact he was a commoner. Feeling very out of place at an event like this Adrian wanted nothing more than to go home and find a better job more suited to his talents. The carriage pulled to a stop outside the location of the ball and the doors were opened. Adrian climbed out first lifting Ozzy out behind him then extending his hand to the young noblewomen he was escorting. Feeling very awkward and trying his best not to blush from embarrassment Adrian took the hand of the women he was escorting and helped her down from the carriage. The crimson haired daughter immediately took him by the arm smiling sweetly as she, Adrian and Ozzy walked towards the ball. Many people were, thankfully, looking past Adrian and Ozzy instead focusing their attention on the daughter in her white dress. That bought Adrian quite a large amount of relief as he lead her into the hall and then found his arm being freed from her grip. "I'm going to go talk to some friends of mine now Adrian. Feel free to do whatever it is you wish to do." Adrian was relieved to hear that as Ozzy had started wandering off towards the food table. "Thank you." Glad to be temporarily free of the daughter he was charged with escorting Adrian followed after Ozzy wanting to keep an eye on, and indeed caring a lot more for, the grey coloured Harpy that he had sort of adopted into his family. |

It has almost been a year already since the last Yule ball he went to. It was the one in Poinsettia in the Blue Pegasus guild where he was invited by Reggie. One could say it was the time where they spent some time alone and open up to her. This time around, according to the invitation, the ball would be on a much bigger scale as it isn't just sponsored by the guild but the entire city. It must have been that much of a success before for it to be taken noticed like this and to be on the same scale of a holiday or a festival, quite impressive. The smoke mage decided to take the train to reach the city as he wore his clothes, which is in the form of a formal attire suit. Pretty much a black suit while wearing also a black tie with it along with black pants and shoes. One could say it is a black attire for the smoke mage but he does wear some white long-sleeved polo under the suit, which match the entire attire. The smoke mage got his ticket from the booth and he did managed to buy some bouquet of flowers before heading straight to the train. He will be meeting up with his date after all, for a ball even. The train would soon leave with the smoke mage inside, letting the time go by as he smoke his cigarette in the smoking section of the train carriage. Toshiro couldn't help but remember what happened a year ago when he met with the blonde mage once more and probably end up together with her and become a couple. Now, they will meet once more in the same ball, but bigger, and probably relive some memories together. It didn't take that long before the train reached its destination as the people proceed to get off the station. Fixing his coat, the smoke mage would proceed off the train with the bouquet at hand as he would look for the sign of his girlfriend. It didn't take that long before he spotted the blonde mage who is there waiting for him on the spot where they should met in accordance with the invitation. The smoke mage approached her as he soon offered the flowers to her. "Hello Reggie, sorry to keep you waiting." the smoke mage said offering the flowers to her. |

Fleur stood in the guild hall, her green eyes wide as she took in the spectacle. This year there was a huge ball being held in the city she now called home as she was now a part of Blue Pegasus. The guild she had dreamed about since becoming a mage. Her guild mark had been stamped onto her stomach just to the right of her naval and was a lovely forest green that matched the color of the magic circle she created when using her nature magic. She smiled, wondering what she would wear to the ball, especially since she'd asked Jaxus to be her date. Ideally she had wanted to ask Jason but Jason had been away recently on an adventure and Fleur had been unable to find him. She gazed at the state of her hair in the mirror, knowing she should do something with it before Reggie arrived to bring her shopping but she had no idea as to what to do. Leave it out or put it up? Reggie would know what to do she thought to herself before she thought she hears the sound of a carriage outside. There was only one person she knew who traveled by carriage; Reggie. She smiled, making her way outside to greet the blonde mage before she noticed the man who was her date. Toshiro she believed his name was as she had heard Reggie mention his name before. "Reggie, it is good to see you again" she said with a smile. "And Toshiro was it?" she said, offering him a small smile. |

Reggie was waiting for her boyfriend when someone apprpached her from the side. She turned to the person and realized it was Toshiro. He greeted her and handed her a bouquet of flowers. "Thank you Toshiro!" The blonde wizard said as she stood on her toes to give the smoke wizard a kiss on his cheek. "And I've been here for a while, so the wait is really not long." She told him as she put her hand around his arm and lead him to the carriage. "I just fetched my gown for the seamstress before I came here." Reggie said when she noticed that he was already dressed. "You are so ready for the ball. And handsome as always~" She said as she hugged his arm as they went outside the station where the air got chillier. The smell of smoke from him, which was quite addicting to Reggie lingered at her nostril as she savoured the scent. I was like a drug to her. The two went inside the carriage where Reggie reminded Toshiro somehing. "Oh. Before we head to the guild hall, can we pick up a friend of mine? She needs my help and is it fine if we go shopping with her for a bit?" She said as she leaned agaisnt him inside the carriage. The carriage stopped in front of Fleur's place. The blonde wizard opened the door as she called Fleur who was walking towards them with a slightly messy hair. A messy bun would do. Reggie thought as she saw her hair. The girl came to them as she greeted her and even Toshiro whom she seemed to recognize. "Yes. This is my boyfriend Fleur, Toshiro. This is my new guildmate Toshiro, Fleur." She said as she offered a hand towards Fleur and helped her climbed ino the carriage. The girl had to seat in front of them beside the box that contains Reggie's gown. "You seemed to be having a bad hair day Fleur. I suggest a messy bun or something thst could keep it uo neatly. Curls will only worsen the condition." Reggie said as she took a piece of ribbon from her requip purse. "Take this. Just pull it up and tie the entire bunch into a bun." The blonde wizard said as she didn't like her new friend having a totally bad hair day. "Cinna will come over later to fix me up. We can ask for some potions to fix your hair." The blonde wizard as she winked at him. "So who's you date for tonight?" Reggie asked her. The carriage entered the busy shipping district and stopped at a block where enetering woulf be impossible due to the heavy traffic. "We will walk from here towards Madam Hopkins'. It's just a block away. We will choose a gown for Fleur in there." Reggie said and the three of them went out of the carriage and into the busy streets of Poinsettia's shopping district. A lot of people were coming from shops to shops, brining boxes of gownds and shoes and everything glam. They then reached the said shop where they entered as the bell rang at their wake. |

The blonde mage was a bit surprised at the smoke mage's approach and offered the bouquet of flowers to her. She happily accepted it and even gave him a sweet kiss on the cheeks as he casually goes on her toes just to reach her. She gave her thanks to the flowers Toshiro brought to her and even mentioned that she hasn't been waiting that long. The two would then go hand in hand as they head to the carriage while the blonde mage complimented him on his looks. It seemed that she just got her outfit from her seamstress as they would soon reach the carriage. Before leaving though, she mentioned that they may need to pick up a friend of her along the way. "Well you look as lovely as always Reggie, so what time is the ball this time?" the smoke mage said as he and the blonde mage proceed to head towards the carriage. "Sure I don't mind, just go and do what you two need to do. Don't worry much about me." the smoke mage said responding to her picking up her friend statement. The carriage would soon leave the station and would proceed to their next destination. The smoke mage and the blonde mage are well comfortable inside the carriage as they hold hand in hand while waiting for them to reach where her friend should be waiting. It didn't take that long until the carriage would stop and out of the window stood a violet curled haired girl waiting for them. The blonde mage opened the door as she seemed to noticed her. The violet curled haired girl approached the carriage and proceed to get on it as she greeted the blonde mage and the blonde mage introducing her as Fleur, a new member of Blue Pegasus. "Nice meeting you ma'am. So how long did the two of you know each other?" the smoke mage said greeting the violet curled haired girl wondering if they knew each other for a long time or just when she joined the guild. The smoke mage could see that the violet curled haired girl is rather short though somehow graceful when she moves. Knowing Toshiro, he never does judge a book by its cover as it could be rather rude and ungentleman like. The two girls would have their own discussion inside the carriage as they are preparing for the ball ahead of time. The carriage would soon put into a halt once more as the blonde mage mentioned that they would be going on foot at this point, seeing that there is a lot of traffic ahead and the only way to get there in time is to walk. The smoke mage didn't mind this as this is a normal occurrence to him to walk as he even assisted the two ladies get off the carriage. The area is filled with people moving about as the area has a lot of shops for the ball, which is no surprise why it has so much traffic. Still the smoke mage would walk behind the two if needed as they might have a lot to talk about. |

Reggie blushed at Toshiro's compliment on her beauty. "And you are as handsome as ever, my dear Toshiro." She said as she hugged his arm in delight and cuddled him. It always feels good whenever they were with each other. If only they were in the same guild, she would have been spending some nights on his place. Or maybe Toshiro would be sneaking into her room at Fairy Hills. Even though they don't see each other a lot, Reggie gound the time enouh for the two of them. After her Miss Fiore duties, which would be in one month time only, Reggie swore to herself to devote more time on their relationship. And since she has a boyfriend who loves to travel, a lot, it seemed that she should be used to travelling by now. "The ball shall start at 6 in the evening. We have to be there as early as we can because we will be leading the first dance. " The blonde wizard told him. They came at Fleur's and let the girl join them in the carriage. Toshiro replied to Fleur's greetings and asked her how did she met his girlfriend. "Oh. Fleur and I met during the peace agreement between Bosco and Fiore. And she is a good friend with some members from the guild. They seemed to have lured her to our side." Reggie told her boyfriend. She then helped ou Fleur like an older sister to her as she offered her a ribbon to at least fix her hair as she wouldn't want anyone seeing her like that. So this is how i feels to have a little sister." Reggie thought as she was enjoying the moment. Someone looking up at her, to ask for help, someone to lean on. The blonde wizard couldn't help but smile at herself as she brushed her face on Toshiro's shoulder. They went out of the carriage and started walking towards the boutique somewhere in the shopping district of Poinsettia. Reggie was glad Toshiro's with her, supporting her in helping Fleur pick a dress. The group arrived at Madam Hopkins where they were greeted by the cheery owner of the shop herself. "Why hello Miss Reggie! Do come in, do come in!" She said as they entered the shop. Reggie hugged the owner as she was quite fond with the shop. "Hello Madam Hopkins." She said as she bacled away a bit. "This is Toshiro by the way I'm sure you know him." Reggie told her as she introduced Toshiro. "Of course dear, lovely couple!" The old lady said. Reggie then introduced Fleur to her. "And this is Fleur madam. She is new to our guild. Now we came here to pick a gown for her." She told her. "Is this for the ball? In that case, I have a lot of gowns to choose from. Now we just need to pick a perfect color for you. How about green? Mint green." The lady said. She then dragged Fleur towards a rack of gowns. Reggie lead Toshiro to the sofa where they waited for the lady and Fleur to choose a gown. The two of them sat in there as Reggie leaned her head on his shoulder, s always. |

The smoke mage tried to start a conversation with the two, or at least try to be friendly and courteous to the violet curled haired girl. He asked about how she and Reggie met as the blonde mage proceed to answer the question. The two met at a peace agreement between Bosco and Fiore, also the violet curled haired girl is a good friend of some of the members of the guild so that could be it. The smoke mage listened to the explanation by the blonde mage as he could see how the guild entice her into joining their guild. The carriage would soon stopped and the three would eventually have to walk to reach their next destination. From what the smoke mage could gather, they are going to get themselves ready for the ball that evening, especially the violet curled haired girl. The three would follow the street ahead of them as the blonde mage lead the way into the crowded street as the smoke mage is there to help them pass through the rough crowd. Soon enough, after some twist and turns, they would arrived at their destination. The place looked like one of those fancy establishments that specializes with gowns and dresses as the three would enter the door. The smoke mage would put out his cigarette first before entering as he throws it at a nearby trashcan. Who knows if they allowed smoking inside the place but Toshiro just wanted to be sure. Entering the place, the smoke mage could see that the blonde mage knew the owner as they greeted one another. The owner is an cheery lady named Madam Hopkins. The blonde mage introduced Toshiro and Fleur to her as they proceed to check some gown for the violet curled haired girl. The blonde mage and the smoke mage were soon directed into a couch as the owner and violet curled haired girl would choose some gowns. The two were alone there waiting for the result of Fleur's choices in the gowns she will try. Still the smoke mage would turn to the blonde mage wondering if she should be helping her choose something good. "Are you sure you are alright not helping her out in choosing what kind of dress she will get?" the smoke mage said asking the blonde mage. |

The blonde wizard lead her boyfriend to a nearby sofa within the boutique while Madam Hopkins dragged Fleur to a series of racks which contains elegant and chic gowns that the owner desined herself. The smoke wizard then asked Reggie if she would not help Fleur in picking the dress. "She's in good hands Tosh. Madam Hopkins know better than I do. I've been wearing her creations since I trasnferred in this city. And I trust her that she would find the perfect dress for Fleur." Reggie told Toshiro as she grabbed a magazine from the tsble in front of them. Weekly Sorcerer. The cover was a wizard from Lamia Scale. Reggie opened the page and saw Toshiro on the list of "I want to be my boyfriend." "Someone's getting famous with the girls." Reggie said as she showed him the page. There was his picture which must have been taken during Halloween in Hargeon. "I'm such a lucky girl." Reggie said as she flipped throuh the pages and found a page featuring the candidates for Miss Fiore this spring. The blonde wizard then felt her reign coming to an end. She looked at the candidates and saw Luna among them. "Wow. Toshiro! Look! Luna will be joining Miss Fiore this spring. She's my best friend." The blonde wizard said. Reggie turned to the pictures of the candidates again. It seemed that Luna is the only wizard to be competing this time. Meanwhile, Madam Hopkins grabbed several gowns from the racks. The first one was a purple dress that goes well with Fleur's hair. It was an elegant strapless gown with fishtail skirt. The upper part was made with satin adorned with synthetic stones which enhance the curves of the wearer while the fishtail skirt was made of purple chiffon. The second one was a black laced top dress with long sleeves and an enormous balloon skirt. Fleur would looked like floating with it. The third one is a strapless red dress with a flowy skirt that has a slit on the left side. The fourth one was yellow dress that goes well with her hair. It has a long train which makes it more dramatic. Lastly, Madam Hopkins pulled out a green dress. It was a pretty dress. So far the simple yet elegant among the five. Reggie looked at each dress being worn by Fleur. The first one, she kinda liked it but thought there might be something better for the girl. The second one was cute too. But it doesn't seemed right to her. The third one, she liked it. But she wanted to look at the other dress that Madam Hopkins picked. The fourth was pretty. But Fleur might be stressed during the party as the skirt would be stepped on by someone. Finally, the green dress which looked beautiful on her. Reggie's mouth fell open at the sight of it. "Perfect!" was all she can say as Fleur turned around with the dress. "We are ready for the ball!" Reggie said in delight as she turned to Toshiro and smiled. Hours after, the blonde wizard was now dressed in a blue ball gown. The sleeves were off shoulders as it meets at the center of her chest, showing a bit of cleavage. Butterflies were adorned on her sleeves. The bodice of the dress shows her hourglass figure as the enormous skirt enhanced her curves even more. Diamonds were adorned all over her dress as well as on her hair which was braided on top, making the rest of it was curled and worn at he back, showing her neck. The most dramatic thing on her body that night was the glass slippers. "Lavender's green dilly dilly lavender's blue. If you love me dilly dilly I will love you" Reggie thenn hummed her lullaby as she sat beside Toshiro while adoring the flowers he gave her upon his arrival thst morning. They were now riding on their carriage on their way to the party. |

Fleur didn't pay much attention as she was dragged away by a woman she assumed was a friend of Fleurs and had several dresses to try on. The first few were alright but nothing that really screamed winter ball at her until finally she tried on a gorgeous frosted mint green dress that was strapless and seemed to shimmer when she moved. As she turned around, she heard Reggie say perfect and the violet haired girl smiled. A few hours later they were ready for the ball, Fleurs hair had been pulled into a loose braid over her left shoulder and had dark frosted leaves with purple berries woven through the strands. "I don't think I ever told you who my date was. Jaxus is taking me." she said, listening to Reggies pretty voice humming a tune. "Well, do I look alright? You look stunning as usual, just like a princess" she said, grinning. She used a bit of her magic to wrap a simple vine into her braid, giving it her own small touch. Fleur had asked Jaxus to meet them at the guild hall as it seemed appropriate that he meet his date on her way to the ball. She couldn't believe she had actually asked Jaxus to be her date. Of course if Jason had been around she would have asked him but she didn't mind taking the sun mage with her because sunlight made plants flourish and what better way to make this evening magical than to have a date who's magic complimented her own. |
