Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Mission Link

The blond-haired mage looked at the requests board in front of him, the glow of his eyes making them look almost blazing as he sighed heavily. "So, this is all the D Class requests?" The mage at the bar currently in charge of making sure requests were handled properly simply nodded. "And I absolutely have to do a D Class mission? Despite being able to swing this around?" 'This' being a sword as tall as Therius, again the mage at the bar shrugging, "Rules are rules." The Quatro Cerberus mage grumbled, rolled his eyes, and all the same took a request off the board, "Have I mentioned that I hate these rules?" The one at the bar actually emoted for once, a smirk crossing his face, "Yeah, you have Spiky. Money is money though, I imagine you somewhat enjoy my wares?" The blond almost smiled, handing over the mission so him taking it could be made official, "That and bullets and sword maintenance isn't free. I'm probably going to need a drink after this though." The two exchanged a nod as the request was handed back over, Therius waving over his shoulder as he made his way out of the guild and onto the street. "Right, off to Belladonna I guess," half mumbling to himself as he set of.

After a long journey, Therius arrived in Belladonna, home of the Lamia Scale guild, and a city famous for its magical research. Which made sense enough for a request like this to be happening here, the blue-eyed mage reading it over again for directions. It was looking for people to test various potions...literally by drinking them at random which didn't seem the best way to do this, but hey he's wasn't a researcher or alchemist. As trivial as the mission was, it paid well, and several potions that existed already helped narrow the gap between those that couldn't use magic and those that could, so helping them get past the development stage at least held some worth to Therius.

Justifying the mission to himself as best he could, the Quatro Cerberus mage shook his head, and made his way to the address of the professor asking for help, soon enough finding it and observing the building. It was fairly modest house of stone, though large with it being two-stories. Strangely though there was vibrant multicoloured smoke coming from a chimney, and approaching the front door the grounds smelt of sulphur, the swordsman raising an eyebrow and hoping he wouldn't be alone on this request, he didn't really want to have to drink everything this man had created on his own as he summoned up the courage to knock on the oak front door.

Finally. It finally happened. Alexis was finally a knight. Ever since the day she had enlisted and was accepted, Alexis had been grinning with the warmest feeling in her bosom. She had taken up home in an apartment near her local centre and had spent the whole of yesterday celebrating with exercise and her favourite sweet foods. But now, she was ready to get to work. She was ready to be a knight by name, by right and by responsibility. She walked into the knight recruitment building for Belladonna, where she had decided to stay for a while, and beamed to the jaded older man across the counter. Despite knowing him for only a week, she knew him by name.
"Any work for me, Ylodr?" The man, built like a steel freight train with rivers of hair flowing from his head in every direction, gave her a hearty laugh and toothy smile.
"You're enthusiastic! Most rookies wait a week or two before their first mission." The women smirked and rolled her shoulders back.
"Not me! A day's training than straight to work!" She then joined the man in loud, hearty laughter. Then, the giant man turned around and pulled a piece of paper off the wall, the only of it's kind. It was alone in the lonely corner of the board, whereas there were multitudes of layers stuffed upon each other. Looking above the board, Alexis saw that the assignments were obviously segmented into class and she was handed the only Private's Assignment on the board. "Private's been busy?" the man scoffed as if she were joking. With a blink, she began to read the paper aloud.
"Good news everyone! I have just finished my newest batch of potions! I need guinea pi- I mean test subjects for my newest series of magical potions. Each potion has different effects (some of which may not work at all). They include ones that change your appearance, have temporary mind-altering effects, some even shrink you or make you larger! At any rate, I need at least two test subjects for this job."

Alexis was slightly sceptical, but was not about to deny her first job because it sounded shady...
She smiled to Ylodr and passed him back the paper. "I'll take it!" The giant swiftly took the paper, stamped it in red ink and gave Alexis the standard speech about how she would be rewarded and when to get going: now. With another chuckle, she waved to the man as she left. Luckily for her, she had taken the mission an hour before she was supposed to meet outside this 'professors' lab on the other side of town. Kicking into a leisurely jog, Alexis' soul burned with determination.
This was gonna be great.

It didn't take her an hour to get to the humble house, but Alexis did bring up a slight sweat. Brushing her forehead with the back of her hand, she stretched out as she approached around the side. She stopped in her tracks as her eyes caught the shimmer of light on steel and she instinctively got into cover behind the corner of the house. With a glare on her face, she peeked around the corner the scope out the scene. Her nose burned with the gross, eggy smell and she stared directly at a blonde man stood in front of the door. What caught her attention first, other than his own size, was the size of the great-sword on his back. It was ridiculous! How does anyone swing something like that around. The man knocked on the door and looked more passive than aggressive; but the tattoo on his arm was familiar. Alexis could remember reading up a little about the guilds in Fiore and was sure that mark was for one of them. Nonetheless, she stepped out into the open, sure he wasn't a threat despite the giant weapon and called out.
"Yo!" she stepped toward him, her skin glistening slightly in the light. "You here for the assignment too? Some crazy dude's gonna experiment on us?" She got closer, brushed some hair from her face and eyeing the man with some suspicion.

He knocked, and rather anticlimactically, nothing happened. The Blond shrugged and adjusted his gear a little, sunlight glittering on his sword as he shifted his leather armour and modified harness that acted as a scabbard of sorts, and tried again, knocking a little louder. Once more, only silence answered him. Therius sighed, but before he could try again someone called out to him, an eyebrow raised as he turned around, the woman announcing she was here for the assignment, the mage relaxing a little at not needing to suffer through this alone. "Hey, and yeah, that's why I'm here. Just an idiot volunteering to drink mystery potions." Figuring she must be a mage or knight to know about the request, he ignored the suspicious look and put his paranoia aside as he looked back towards the house, "If he ever answers the door, that is."

Clearing his throat, Therius called out, "Professor Ivellios? We're here for the mission you posted?" Rapping on the door loudly and for quite a while this time, hoping he'd finally get the alchemists attention. While waiting for a response this time, he turned back towards the newcomer, "Therius, by the way, of the guild Quatro Cerberus," extending his hand as if going for a handshake, trying to be remotely sociable and maybe ease her mistrust. Regardless of her response, over the next five minutes there would be a slowly building grumble from the other side of the door before it finally opened, a tall man in perhaps his 60s with white hair opened the door, dressed in robes and even now holding a flask filled with a bubbling blue liquid. "Yes, yes, what is it?" The mage tried to smile, doing his best to look diplomatic and not really succeeding; alas he didn't really do the whole smiling thing. Perhaps his companion for this mission could help with that regard.

"The request you posted?" Therius handing over the piece the paper, the professor moving it further and closer to his eyes until he finally could read it, grinning widely. "Ah yes, the guinea pi- Test subjects, yes, test subjects of course, ahem. Please, come in come in, make yourself comfortable, this could take a while." Absolutely nothing in that sentence made the Blond feel any better, but he was already here, money was money, and at least he had someone to suffer it through. Stepping through the door, he turned back towards his would be companion for the request, "Gee, how could we possibly refuse after that." Inside the initial room was something of a foyer, with various rewards for education and alchemy plastered around, with stairs leading up to the second level, and archways to the left and right leading to other rooms. From the right room, which was where the professor was heading, wafted in plumes of red smoke.

Alex's eyes darted swiftly across the man's features, taking note of anything she could use if their little interaction turned sour. She stood, very deliberately, within an arms length away from him, so his sword was rendered useless as in a fight all she'd need to do is attack the side as he tries to grab the handle. Despite her suspicions, the man seemed mellow, which obviously helped Alexis relax. She turned her head to look to the door and rubbed the back of her head, her short hair getting ruffled. She stood confidently with a powerful stance while the man knocked even harder on the dark oak slab, before he introduced himself. Therius. The name was odd, arcane almost, to the young Chrysanthemum girl, but him saying he was from Quatro Cerberus was the interesting thing. She'd met many mages in her time, but only one or two were from that guild in particular. During initiation, she'd been told that 'dark guilds' were recently legalised in Fiore, a very controversial action by their new king. Alex wondered if this guild was one of those. A few seconds after he introduced himself, Alexis did the same. "Alexis. a Private in the Knights of Fiore." she said with pride, taking the man's hand and giving a firm handshake with a good deal of muscle. She gave a small smile to remain civil, she had no real reason to mistrust a man on the same mission as her.

When the door finally opened, Alexis stared at the man that wore something that reminded her of the old comic books she had read. She could see the dandruff in his hair float about as he turned his head to address them. Therius introduced them and handed the obvious eccentric a request paper oddly similar to the missions on the board at the hub, but Alex had her eyes set on the old man; something about him made her uneasy. Nonetheless, when invited in, she stepped inside behind the giant blade and smirked at his off-hand remark, shaking her head in a way of saying 'Might as well get it over with'. As she walked into the house, she was slightly impressed by the multiple egghead awards splattered over the walls. The idea that this man knew what he was doing was a little comforting, but in the end, she didn't trust men. Let alone old men. Let alone old men that were about to have her drink odd potions that would do Gods know what. The room on the right that seeped red smoke was where they seemed to be headed, but when they walked inside, she didn't feel like she needed to hold her breath or cough. There was just an overwhelming smell of raspberries and rum in the smoke. She looked around what could only be called a laboratory and found herself a tacky, green leather sofa to sit on. She wasn't tired, she just didn't like not being able to see very well from the smoke. She watched the man and Therius from the couch, starting to relax.

Eyes darting over his form, standing at her optimal attack range while cutting his short, and even after relaxing she looked suspicious of him. It was painfully obviously that Alexis didn't trust the Blond, not that it was really his issue or job to make that the case. "Hmm, well I'm not out to make friends anyway," Therius thought to himself, the barest trace of a shrug moving over his body. Still all the same she offered her name, who she worked for, and took his hand; wow she was strong okay good thing they were together then and not against; so their meeting wasn't off to a completely horrible start. "Ah, a knight. Good to know. I mean not that this is a combat mission, but you can always trust the Knights. Hopefully myself being a member of the least destructive Light guild you can do the same with me," his face remaining neutral, but he hoping maybe he could move from simply not mistrusted to trusted.

Following after the Professor and into the cloud of questionable smoke, part of him considered leaving his sword and armour out, to let her think he couldn't simply summon a weapon to hand; a dagger for example would let get a blade spell off even in close range; but instead settled for saying slowly and clearly, with a hint of arcane power, "Requip," and made his weapons vanish, and left him in simple pants and t-shirt instead of armour. "Pretty sure I won't actually need these, not for potion testing," half falling/half throwing himself into a well-worn red armed-chair and sighing, relaxing a little after the long trip from the guild to here.

Clearing his throat, Ivellios spoke as he hunched over an alchemist table, "Well, if you're ready, no time like right now to start, here, here," the old man who looked more and more like the stereotypical crazed scientist through the smoke righting himself and walking over, passing a flask filled with a bubbling red liquid to Therius as he walked around his mixture of den and laboratory, soon passing over a vial filled with a watery green liquid to Alexis, the professor finding a spot to sit where he could see both of them, pulling out a notebook and quill, "Well go on, drink, drink. I'll observe and make notes."

Alexis, having lived around magic, did not react exactly to the man subtly removing his armour and weapons from this realm to another. Her eyes focused beyond the thin layer of smoke as she watched the man closely, in case he brought another, new, dangerous weapon into this world. Luckily, he didn't and she relaxed further into the chair. The man has the perfect opportunity to attack her and win from her vulnerable state, but didn't. Good to know she didn't have to watch her back all too much. The woman pushed some hair from her face and blinked as a vial of green water was passed to her by the old scientist before he sat down and observed. She held the small, glass tube in the air and inspected it, swirling the translucent content before nervously sniffing at it. The smell was something to behold, sour, spicy and ungodly strong, like peppers had been stuffed into spoiled milk and intensified. She gagged and choked, coughing and spluttering away from the vial. "Oh Gods, this stuff smells awful!" She gave a slightly frayed glance to the other man and sighed. "For the King..." she said softly. She pinched her nose, clamped shut her eyes and poured the vile liquid into her mouth and swallowing as soon as it hit her tongue. Her mouth exploded with the acidity of the taste, causing her to clasp her hand over her mouth, dropping the vial onto the couch. She retched, her nose scrunching up and eyes watering as the taste fired up her nose and head. A few moments of her body tensing up, she relaxed, the scent and taste mercifully fading. She was given no water or anything to take away from the taste as it would dilute the potion, but she toughened up and shook her head quickly. She croaked when asked how it tasted. "Fucking terrible!" Alexis had quite the colourful vocabulary and wasn't afraid to swear if she wanted, but she tried to hold back when she was officially representing the Knights. She sighed and sat back in the chair, subtly wiping the tears of spice from her eyes and groaned. Sadly for her, she forgot the whole point of potions. To have an effect.

At first all she felt was a slightly painful tingling in her mouth and throat as well as an unhappy bubbling in her stomach, but then, the muscles in her abdomen started to ache and burn as if she'd been doing crunches for the last hour. It was pretty intense and caused her to double-over and hold her stomach. She said nothing when asked by either man what was wrong before she felt her body begin to become heavier. She was dizzy and thought it was just her head playing tricks on her, until she heard an annoyingly familiar sound of a bra strap snapping. Her groans ceased in that very moment, but the sense of weight on her chest seemed to heavier and heavier. With the sound of snapping and confused darting of her brain came the sudden tearing of her shirt. Her heart became as ice and sank into an inky pit of despair. She could feel her... assets swelling at least a full cup size and her shirt couldn't take it so suddenly. Alex felt her entire face burn strawberry red and she spoke quietly and grimly, still doubled over with her arms around the subtly enlarging assets. "Therius... Don't ask why... Just go and get me a blanket or a tow--" She was interrupted by a louder rip, looking up at him and shout/scream/squeaking. "Blanket! Now!"

At this point, either he or the scientist would've caught the hint and and passed her a blanket that would be sufficient to cover her and did so with it. She wrapped herself, while doubled over, with the blanket and sat up with a sigh. As she thought, her breasts had expanded to at least G cup. It was uncomfortable, painful and incredibly embarrassing. The blanket bulged menacingly with the oversized assets that let flow unhelpful hormones into her brain. Just like that, her eyes watered and cheeks burned as bright as ever. This couldn't be happening. Her first mission for the knights and the most hated part of her had probably ruined it. There goes the great day she was having. She glared darkly at Therius if he even dared laugh or stare at her before staring daggers at the scientist. "You have ten seconds to fix this before I replace your face with my fist..."

Holding the neck of the; to the Blond; overly large flask Ivellios had given him, Therius raised an eyebrow and scrunched his nose as he took a closer look at the liquid inside. Even doing his best to not inhale it the potion had a strong scent, somewhere between spicy and acidic, the fumes burning his nostrils as he recoiled, holding it now at arm's length and stifling a cough with his other hand. The actual fluid was a frightfully vibrant red, completely unnatural as it bubbled and hissed away despite being kept still. The slightest sympathetic smile crossed his face as Alexis spluttered, raising his own flask like it was a drink, "bottoms up" before gulping it down as quickly as he could to avoid the taste, the potion burning all the way down before it settled into his stomach.

"That wasn't so bad..." the swordsman starting to speak and tempting fate, and immediately was struck down for his hubris as he barely managed to put the glass that contained the potion aside before hunching over and clutching at his stomach with one hand, the other over his mouth as he gulped as if trying to keep something down. Occupied with his own potion effect, he wasn't sure what was happening to Alexis, but he heard her ask for a blanket and managed to stagger to his feet without stopping to think.

Sudden motion. Bad idea.

As he stood his stomach convulsed, but instead of vomiting as might have been expected, he belched up a gout of red flame. While the potion seemed to protect his mouth and throat from the flames, he was pretty sure he'd already managed to singe his hair, and he had a feeling there was a lot more fire to come. Alexis calling out for help louder snapped Therius out of his dazed state after the impromptu fire breathing, and fortunately managed to find a blanket without setting himself or it on fire, passing it over before staggering back to his chair and looking to the ceiling before letting out another jet of flame.

Ivellios was busy scribbling away notes as the pair of them suffered, Therius far too busy steadying his irregular breathing and trying to control the bestowed talent from the potion to even consider laughing. Asides let he without a scorched fringe issue forth the first laugh. The Knight's threat got through to professor though, who set aside his notes and stood, quickly making his way over to the table where many more vials and flasks awaited, muttering as he moved "Right, right, sorry, hang on..." before passing over a small vial filled with a clear liquid. It was almost gel-like, having a viscosity close to tar, and it smelt even worse. "Drink that." Therius in the mean time was staring off into space, not really looking at anything as he managed to let out a small puff of flame on every exhale.

This could not be happening. She could not be sat there, blanket around her, with her boobs having torn up her shirt, in front of two guys, on her first assignment as a knight. This situation couldn't be worse if a giant tentacle monster burst out of her chest and ransacked Belladonna. Well... That would be kinda bad... But in any case, the sight of her mission partner burping out a plume of dangerous looking fire did catch her attention for some odd reason. She leaned back in surprise as the jet of flames almost caught her hair. She could handle a lot of shit. This boob thing, not an issue, but if he hair went up in smoke she wasn’t leaving this house standing. With eyes wide in bewilderment, Alexis could do nothing but watch as Therius attempted to control his erratic dragon-breath.

Alexis was snapped from her little trance of self-preservation when the professor finally brought what she deemed to be the antidote for her ‘little’ predicament. She was quick in swiping the new potion from the doctor and almost tossing it down her gullet without a second thought. Or a first one, really. The first emotion that crossed Alex's face was one of immeasurable regret as the previous potion enhanced the already abhorrent flavour of this unholy sludge. Suddenly, it was as if time came to a crawl. Alexis, sweating with eyes wide and face paling, could feel the horrid mixture of no flavour and too much flavour corrode her throat as it slicked into her chemical catastrophe of a stomach. Then, as slowly as it crawled, time cracked and sped up. With no control over herself, the young lady let loose a very loud burp, fountains of a thick, unpleasant smoke swamping the room. Her lungs felt as if they were about to explode; her stomach expanding to twice its size as it endlessly produced gallons of non-toxic gases. Luckily for them all, the gas was inflammable, else they’d all go up like a spectacular firework. It took ten straight seconds of the gaseous production before Alexis collapsed onto the floor, her bust returned to size and almost asphyxiated by the lack of breathing in. She spluttered and coughed only just managing to choke out a few words. ”I hate you all.” Ivellious didn’t once stop scribbling as his laboratory was flooded with the dense, rum-smelling fog, identical to the stuff they found in the room before they entered. Not once did he show any sign of noticing that Alexis had almost died, let alone caring. He then, with quick succession, tossed Therius a vial of what could only be spoiled milk mixed with boiled soda.
”Drink that, I need to see if the fires change colour or snuff from your gooblexian cortexes.” That settles it. They were dealing with a quack, if Alexis laying on the floor, regretting her life choices didn’t dictate that already.

Recovering somewhat from his...sudden condition that involved spontaneous fire, or at least recovering in this case meaning he wasn't going to set himself aflame, not that it had stopped, he looked over towards Alexis and Ivellios to see what was going on, and decided the best course of action was to not comment and just, wait for her potion's effect to pass. A task not too difficult between belching flames and smelling burnt hair to keep himself occupied. Still, once he had settled his breathing and was making sure only small bursts of flame issued forth on each exhale, it actually wasn't so bad. If it could be controlled a bit better, or maybe the initial fire breath larger and more intense, it might actually be an effective weapon for someone to disguise as simply another potion.

So a possibly useful combat potion, maybe the professor wasn't a complete quack. Or perhaps he was, given the reaction the Knight was now having to what Therius had assumed was just an antidote, and then how he just left her laying there. The blond went to get up to help, but between the...nature of the changes the poor girl had, not to mention that even threatening to stand brought forth an uncontrolled gout of flame, the mage sat down and settled for glaring at Ivellios instead. Which was perhaps lucky otherwise he would have missed the vial being throw at him and been covered in the rancid smelling liquid.

As was he managed to catch it, scowled at the alchemist, and decided to just get this over with, breathing out as much fire as he could before gulping down the new substance, gagging fiercely but refusing to cough or vomit given the whole fire breathing thing he had going on. Even as the foul liquid settled in his stomach he felt an urge he now knew was 'about to turn into a dragon' instead of about to vomit or burp, aiming away from anything valuable as he realised he was going to lose control of it, and let loose a massive jet of green flame, that persisted a good 30 seconds before Therius slumped over in his chair, feeling awful and his stomach churning, but fairly confident that whatever he had just drunk had reacted and caused whatever was left of the first potion to be consumed.

Ivellios, to his credit or discredit, simply took more notes, didn't even comment on his lab being almost set ablaze, and eyed his table with many potions as he looked up from his book, barely even glancing at the two guinea pigs he had.

It didn't take long for the fog to cease flooding from Alexis' and give her some actual air to breathe, which she happily drank from. The knight gave a loud, aching groan interrupted by a harsh coughing fit before she rolled over onto her back and stared at the ceiling. The blanket was tightly wrapped around her, looking almost like a dress due to the sheer size of it. Why was she doing this? Out of everything in the world to be doing right now, why was she submitting her will to a crazy-ass quack of a scientist so he could find out what his probably random-ass potions did to poor humans like her? Oh right. It was the only mission she could get. Shit. The knight rubbed her forehead and managed to climb to her feet just before she almost took a face-full of green fire from the poor, poor Therius. The jet was something that reminded Alexis of some sort of hyper-weapon in one of the manga she'd read. For a moment, it was terrifying, then it was so COOL, then it was fucking terrifying. Alexis dodged to her seat and collapsed, her hands clenching the arms of the chair. When the fires finally ended, she sighed in relief, coughing some more. "Y-You okay?" She asked, her lungs ejecting the last puft of smoke between her words.

When his condition was confirmed, she stood. "Well, I for one am done. I don't need to sit here and get experimented on with some weird-ass sciencey crap. This was an official assignment! Don't you think there should be some actual merit to this?" she looked to the scientist, who had stopped scribbling to listen to her rant. "I mean, what does 'science' get out of us getting turned into frogs and flamthrowers and with our boobs exploding?" she was obviously pissed and, beyond all else, wanted to know that their suffering was at least beneficial to someone that wasn't this curious old quack.
