Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

"If you truly held this place dear... if you truly valued this city then why do I look at the streets and see nothing but a shadow of what could be? If you really wanted to keep this place you would cherish it.... but instead you've tossed it to the side and used it for your own reasons. So I'm here to take it.... you never deserved it anyway."

Overview: Backstrom, the man behind all this madness. He was born in the Dandelion Sector, but left to join the Bosco military before the war had started. He grew up hating the Fiorian government, he hated them for how they treated the city... how they treated HIS city. He grew up and watched as the government did nothing to help them.... no knights came, nobody. The place was over run with thieves and thugs, most kids born there never got a chance.... so Backstrom is giving them one. He was a general in Bosco, but fled shortly after they were pushed out of Fiore. He had convinced a lot of his soldiers to follow him, and they became a mercenary army of sorts, for awhile he has been avoiding Fiore and running through the rest of earthland gathering strength and numbers. Now he's back to 'liberate' the Dandelion Sector.... and he brought his army with him.

Thread one: Invasion!
It happened spontaneously. In the dark of knight his army came, killing those few who dared stand in it's way. It wasn't hard..... in fact is was quite the simple task, getting through border patrol had posed a bigger threat then this unguarded city. The presence of the government was almost non existent so taking it was simple. And now that they had it all they had to do was hold on..... The only opposition really came from the people living there, some gangs tried to fight but most failed. Eventually the word got out, somebody had managed to slip by the border Backstrom had set up around the city. He made his way to guilds and begged and pleaded for assistance, not having enough money to offer them anything. The same messenger also went to the knights, and then the media. Word spread like wild fire after that. Not wanting to look bad, the government took volunteers to help liberate Dandelion Sector. Many signed up, a small army of 200 men and women, magi and knights were to free Dandelion Sector. A lot of them were dark mages, who had contacts or safe houses there.... something they wanted to save. Others were knights, who had felt honor bound the help out... and so begins the battle for the Dandelion.

Thread Two: Backstrom strikes back!
The border had been broken. The liberation force of 200 had managed to get into the city, and were slowly gaining ground. They set up base in the northern part of the city, and were working on their advance. The citizens that were in their 'safe zone' did what they could to help out, some even picking up a sword. After the army had broken through the border Backstrom wasn't going to let them rest, he sent a force to push them back, catching them off guard and almost driving them out of the city. The liberation forced suffered heavy casualties, and a request for reinforcements was sent out, but they wouldn't be arriving anytime soon. So the liberation force planted them selves, refusing to give up anymore ground. Backstrom sent another force to attack them, and they fought long and hard.... waiting for the reinforcements.

Thread Three: Second Wind!
With the arrival of the reinforcements the liberation army was now 250 strong (having lost about a quarter of their original army) and ready to keep advancing. While pressing eastward the liberation army came across an on going battle. Guerrilla fighters were fighting Backstroms forces, but they wouldn't last much longer. The liberation army backed them up, and eventually came out victorious after a short and rather bloodless scuffle. Now they had taken back most of the east and pretty much all of the north. After a meeting with the Guerrillas leader it was discovered that Backstrom was help up in middle of the city. He was using a abandoned school building as his base of operations, and had a magical shield up around it. Despite the Guerrillas efforts nobody had managed to break it. They'd need somebody on the inside to disable it.... he wasn't even letting his own soldiers in. So they sent a small team to try and see if they were able to get passed the barrier by going underground..... and then report back with details. But things went horribly wrong....

Thread Four: Dandelions in the Wind
Having lost contact with the team they had sent underground after what sounded like a scuffle the army sent another, this time with more men. They weren't in a position to send a lot of men, else they'd risk giving up their hard earned territory. They sent a 20 man strong force, who were told to try and disable the barrier if at all possible. The 20 man force followed the original squads path, and found their exit point. Above them was a hole, a light in the dark underground. After climbing up and through the second force were inside the barrier. They had entered inside some kind of auditorium, and quickly engaged in combat with whatever forces were lingering around the hole. They decided to split up, figuring moving in smaller units would be best since it they were out numbered and in no position to take on the whole of Backstoms forces in here. They were on a simple sabotage mission, each of them looking for whatever was powering the magical barrier separating them from the rest of their army.

Thread Five: The Battle of Argyle High School!
The barrier was down! The liberation army had managed to make their way to the base, and the real battle began. The brunt of two armies clashed outside the school, while the squad inside fought their own battle. The abandoned school hat quickly turned into a war zone, one that would decide the fate of this war. Both sides lost many men, but neither stopped fighting. Eventually pressing into the building the liberation army seemed to have an upper hand, and Backstorm still refused to make an appearance. So they took the fight into the building, at this point their force had been reduced to 75 men. The liberation army quickly met Backstroms generals..... who were almost as terrifying as him.

Thread Six: Backstrom the Tyrant
Having managed to beat his commanders a small squad of just five people slipped out of the battle field and towards Backstrom, having the fight past his guards and soldiers. They finally made it to where he was held up. He greeted them as if it was all a game, congratulating them on making it this far. He was with four other people, his most trusted cabinet. His welcomes and greetings quickly turned cold. Him and his advisers attacked the group, and were going to enter the battle field when they were done... it was the final moments of a hard fought battle, Backstrom was already losing but he wasn't going to go down with out a big middle finger to the government, he'd slaughter as many of them as he could.....

Honesty without tact is cruelty.

That's a 6 page minimum per thread if you have all participants all at once.

Just so's we know.
