Jayce is your modern, Blue Pegasus mage, who lives life to it's fullest -
nearly always doing the right thing, while all at the same time balancing his scholar & social lifestyle. The day had been going pretty well for him and his portable familiar, Suna, while he cheerfully ventured miles (on foot) across the night-time desert of Sandzibar (the desert never bothered him anyway). The destination was Poinsettia in order to be in town for a guild meeting that is scheduled in three days -called by Mistress Mai herself. He can definitely get to the other side of the whole desert by sunrise tops. He had left from his Citadel of Sands in the evening, which was directly in the center of Sanzibar Desert, so at least he had a headstart from not going to Ach'Var. Until then, he was just going to enjoy the view of trillions of stars in the beautiful sky as he continued to journey across the leveled, serene sands he calls "home". But halfway through the trip, in this desolate area, a tall man in an ominous
black-hood approached from behind...
"Jayce?" Suna alerts from within the gourd he carries on his back, she had seen the man appear out the darkness from afar first -as she faces backwards in the gourd to view what's behind Jayce.
"Hm?" he pauses, turning around from her alerting gesture. After getting sight of the man, Jayce's heart jumped as the man had instantly blinked three meters before him. There was an couple seconds of silence, nothing but the crickets -and Jayce's silence which was mostly shock.
"My prince..." He says warmly, as well
humbly with his arms slightly out in a welcoming manner, before respectfully bowing forward -leaving his head/face still shrouded in the choking darkness in his hood. The tension on Jayce's body had eased up a bit. The guy wasn't acting hostile at the moment. But he looked
very shady as well.
"Jayce... Do you think it could be lost soul or some sort of...ghost?" Suna comments for Jayce to ponder the possible possibility.
"-Who are you?" Jayce says sternly, cross armed and cautious.
"I am simply...a messenger." He says timely and calm, saying so while in the same spot.
"What?! Well... What do you want? I'm not looking for any trouble!" Jayce says, a bit louder to prove he's serious.
*Shiink* Jayce had raised his guard as the man pulled out an
odd-looking, jagged dagger with runic designs and markings.. The sand around him was prepared to block any sudden attacks.
"-A gift." The encounter then says. Holding the blade vertically across his open, black-gloved hands. Squinting his eyes a little suspiciously, he observes the weapon.
"I don't need a knife, bro." Jayce says uninterestedly. Turning around back to the right direction as the man seemed to be most likely some nut who traveled too far from the city. But as soon as he faced the other direction, the man appeared two meters in front of him.
"I don't want to fight you, man. Just leave us alone." Jayce says even more annoyed, gritting his teeth.
"You MUST take the dagger. Your true role awaits you, Prince Jasu. You have failed the ancient generations of past sand gods by succumbing to the light countless, countless times. Your magic will never reach it's full potential without being charged by the darkness! Darkness brings power! Darkness brings respect. Do what you have to do and activate that dormant power and kill me with it to unlock that power. -The knowledge & power you truly deserve!"The hooded man babbles on about the dagger and his intentions with him. Just how did he know that Jayce was a Sand God?
"What?! Are you psycho?! -I'm not killing you!?" Jayce argues in disgust.
"We shall see... Young one." The man says ominously before immediately disappearing into thick, black, smoke that dispersed quickly.
