Felix stepped calmly through the slight morning mist, enjoying the cool morning atmosphere. He was fond of forests in general, as a forest of significant proportions ringed the small, remote village where he had been born and raised. He'd been wandering for some time now, but he tended to stick to areas that were more nature than civilization, though Oak town was perhaps a suitable blending of the two, even if it was just trying to copy the style of an existing city in another country. Felix paused next to an ancient oak, gently resting one hand upon the bark and closing his eyes as he listened. Most people enjoyed the quiet a morning in the deep forest could bring, but Felix enjoyed the forest's presence for more than just the scenery. Growing up in a place so attuned to nature, Felix himself had a connection of sorts with the land, able to sense its hurts and moods the same way another person might read someone's body language or sense their attitude or vibe. Just by focusing for a moment, he could feel the slight content feeling of the forest - here, where buildings were few, the forest had fully taken over the landscape, and what few people resided here - mostly the Wishes place about a mile away - were respectful of the landscape. From the feel of things, the forest was enjoying the morning dew as much as Felix was, though for different reasons - to Felix, it just felt nice, but it was an extra source of hydration for the plants. Glad to see the forest is doing well, he thought with a slight smile as he removed his hand from the bark and continued his morning walk through the serene woodlands. |
