Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Sarcasm. Because beating the shit out of people is illegal.

There comes a time in every young boy and girl's lives where they come of age and leave their nest. For some this is a moment of great trepidation and uncertainty. For others, this is a time of joyous exploration. Sometimes, it's a path we choose to take. Sometimes, it's a path we're forced to take. But one thing that is always for certain, amongst the vast array of possibilities the one thing that always remains constant in this great coming of age adventure is change. Change in character, change in circumstance. Change, the great equaliser and granter of opportunity.

In the main street of Poinsettia, not far from the home of the famous Blue Pegasus was a young man dressed in white who was the benefactor of such change. Recently freed from a life that few could imagine and even he didn't care to dwell on, he now found himself in a world full of unknowns. A world full of new people, places and experiences. For the first time, he was free to do what he wanted, when he wanted and he knew that everything he'd done from joining a Mage Guild to venturing out on his own on the day of the Festival of Giving Thanks should have been a joyous and monumental step forward.

But instead, he was filled with uncertainty. For the first time, he was the master of his own destiny and for the first time, he felt the weight of that responsibility weigh upon him like a physical thing. What was he supposed to do, what was right. These were the questions he couldn't answer and the reason for that was simple. There was no answer, or at least none that was universally and absolutely correct.

For this young man, he was free to choose any path laid out before him or even to take the untraveled road and forge a brand new path. But the truth was that he missed the rigidity of his old life. He missed being part of a plan, of something greater than himself. Something that gave him purpose without asking too much of him in return. But that was what today was about. Facing that fear and, if he was lucky, taking the first and most pivotal step in overcoming it.

To put it simply, the first of many obstacles this young man was destined to face on the long road ahead of him was to begin the journey itself. So it was that Kaladin Stormwind took a deep breath and dove into the festivities with all of the meager courage he could muster.

Poinsettia was playing host to one of the many festivals that took place all throughout Fiore at different times of the year. Today it was some sort of festival about giving thanks regarding some event that happened in the past but really Ashanti didn't care. She wasn't exactly knowledgeable regarding the customs and festivals of Fiore hence her total lack of concern. In fact the only reason Ashanti had even dragged herself out of her hotel room's bed, gotten dressed and gone outside today was because of the sweet aromas wafting out from the festival grounds. They had struck her this morning as she was lying in bed curled up beneath the duvet enjoying the warmth her body naturally radiated but that was when the aroma of food had wafted in through her window. Having woken up pretty rapidly the giant of a women got dressed, vacated her hotel room and walked outside following the sweet alluring aroma her nose had picked up.

Food. The sweet aromatic aroma of FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD had called to Ashanti and she was powerless to resist. Walking through the streets Ashanti followed her highly attuned nose to the source of that sweet aroma. She was paying little attention to the joyful crowds of carnival goers around her and was paying even less attention to the sole fact a carnival was even occurring. Brightly coloured banners, tassels, ribbons and numerous tents went mostly unobserved as Ashanti walked through the streets following her nose. Her nose was eventually leading her to a stand occupied by a man cooking vast amounts of BBQ all covered in delicious mouthwatering levels of good sauces. Of course little did she know that her MAGICAL JOURNEY TO TASTE WONDROUS FOOD would soon be interrupted in a rather physical manner.

As Ashanti was mostly oblivious to her surroundings she wasn't paying the most attention to where she was heading and as such had almost walked into people more than a few times but luckily enough those people were paying proper attention and managed to avoid her. Of course there just happened to be one person here not paying the same amount of attention as everyone else and, by a totally random quirk of fate not at all affected by a controlling consciousness, Ashanti just so happened to encounter this person. By encounter I mean she, due to being utterly ignorant of the people around her, crashed head long into Kaladin barreling over him and ending up atop of him in a crumpled pile. Ashanti's generous chest was smooshed against the back of his neck and she blinked blankly clearly very confused about what had actually gone on. Looking down she noticed Kaladin and went "Ooooh..." Before pulling herself back up to her feet. The giant of a women stood there smiling as if she hadn't done anything wrong or more accurately she didn't even consider the possibility that what she did was wrong.

Kaladin hadn't made it very far past the first line of stalls before he felt the pressure inside him begin to build. It was anxiety, he knew that well enough but there was precious little that he'd found he could do about it. He didn't even know precisely what it was about being surrounded by people that made him feel like he was trapped in a tight space with walls slowly closing in on him. He tried to focus on the sweet tangy smell of roasting meat or the scent of homemade spices and jams, but he could still feel the back of his neck begin to bead with sweat and his skin prickled uncomfortably.

The simple truth was that he just wasn't used to being around people, much less people that he didn't know from a bar of soap. What was more, in the past any time he'd been introduced to someone knew they were either a target or someone to compete against. He'd never had a friend in the traditional sense and the one person he could actually rely upon was about as far from conventional as you could get. So it was little wonder that the sight of so many people in one place filled him with anything but joy.

But as he stood in the centre of a crossroad between popcorn, meat skewers, candy floss and some sort of curry stall mustering up the courage to approach one of the vendors with the little money he had in his pocket he was caught completely bu surprise as something knocked him flat on his face and pinned him to the ground. For a moment he feared the worst. They'd discovered he was still alive and they'd come for him. But when his hammering heart steadied and he realised that the soft- but undeniably heavy- pressure that held him down relented wasn't an assassin sent to kill or -worse- retrieve him he felt crushing relief.

Unfortunately this relief was short lived as he found himself looking up at... well... honestly he didn't know if he was looking at a woman in elaborate costume for the event or something else in elaborate costume as a woman and all at once the anxiety returned as he picked himself up only to find that the one who had knocked him down still towered over him and the rest of the crowd by several feet. If not for the kind smile on the face of the... he'd go with 'woman' for lack of a better term... then he'd have turned and fled on the spot, because apart from her face there wasn't a lot of humanity about her to speak of.

"Ah...", he had meant to say something, but when he opened his mouth no words came and his throat felt tight. had he gotten in the way of this enormous woman? She seemed to be smiling but did that mean it was alright to assume he wasn't in trouble? Better safe than sorry he decided and swallowed heavily before speaking. "S-sorry", he mumbled quietly, unable to hold her gaze while he spoke.

Ashanti just stood there towering over Kaladin tilting her head sideways. She had very little idea how to actually respond to this situation and so merely leaned forward bending down to put her own face in front of Kaladin's. She rawred softly and sniffed Kaladin's hair before licking his nose and standing up. To sniff someone's hair and then lick their nose may seem like incredibly strange behavior, and in fact it was, but since when was Ashanti normal? Plus there was a large cultural significance about using scent and taste to familiarize yourself with another person's identity at least with the members of Ashanti's race. "Um sowwy about that! Are..you okay tiny person?" Her head had been straightened by now and so was standing at her full height again. Calling Kaladin a "tiny person" may be accurate but everyone was tiny next to Ashanti's impressive nine feet's worth of height.

Sorry?..Why was Kaladin sorry?..Ohhh right...Ashanti had tripped over and landed on him..okay that explained it. "That's okay! I was thinking about food and got distracted......again" Ashanti maintained her smile utterly oblivious to the fact that Kaladin was on edge; she wasn't exactly well attuned to reading human emotions and not even his inability to hold her gaze explained. "So um cya!" She smiled and stepped away from Kaladin walking towards the curry stand. Curries often had aromatic scents associated with them and that was what Ashanti had been attracted to after all she often followed her nose when it came to food. Bending her head beneath the stand's awning she gasped at the sheer variety of food on offer. There had to be at least ten different pots here all bubbling away with red, green and yellow coloured curry sauces. There was korma and Tikka Marsala curries, just to name a few, along with many others all of which served to spoil Ashanti for choice.

Ashanti looked behind her at Kaladin wondering why he was just standing there like a lost little lamb. She wasn't the best with people or emotions but a lot of people at the carnival were busy moving around going from stall to stall except Kaladin who was just..standing there? It was weird, different and out of the ordinary compared to everyone else which made Ashanti feel as if he was having trouble. Stepping out from under the stall's awning Ashanti walked towards Kaladin and stood before him again a puzzled expression spread across her face. "Kyaaaa...is something wrong?" She poked Kaladin on the nose curious as to why he was merely standing there looking like a metaphorical deer in the headlights. It was true that Ashanti sucked at reading emotions but given how painfully obvious it was Kaladin had no idea where to go Ashanti felt compelled to at least ask if something was wrong which was a bad habit of hers. She often felt physically compelled to stick her nose into everyone's business and ask what was wrong.

For someone of such enormous size, Kaladin couldn't quite get over how feminine her voice was. If he'd closed his eyes and listened to her speak then he'd have thought her to be a perfectly ordinary person... even if a little on the childish side. That being said, there was no getting past her appearance now and it was frankly terrifying the longer he looked at it and his head was beginning to feel like it was spinning, making it difficult from him to process what she was saying to him and when a low grumble issued forth from her throat as she leaned towards him he thought hit was all over him as she opened her hungry jaws and...

...sniffed his hair and licked his nose. Kaladin blinked once, too stunned in that instant for a single coherent thought to blossom inside his head. The woman's tongue was wet and warm. In fact, it reminded him of something, but as he began to recall a certain canine companion he felt a tingle in the back of his head. That tingle served as a warning to him that he was venturing towards territory that he shouldn't tread foot in and so he recoiled from the memory instinctively.

"I'm okay... I think... thank you", Kaladin replied to the woman's concern as politely as he could. He still didn't know what to make of this enormous person, she didn't seem human but at the same time she did. It was something he'd never experienced before and it was proving very difficult to come to terms with it. But that was why he'd come here, to try and overcome the fears that held him back. If only it wasn't so hard... Before he realised it, the woman had already left him standing in the middle of the street looking lost and confused.

In fact, he'd been out of it for so long that the woman had returned, looking concerned this time and breaking him out of his transfixed state with a firm prod on the nose that caused him to start with surprise. "I'm just... completely lost", he confessed quietly, his head hung in embarrassment. When he said he was lost, he didn't just mean he didn't know where to go. He was lost in every sense of the word and nervous to boot.

Ashanti stared down at Kaladin curious as to why he was just standing there. Her natural parental instincts told her that something was wrong with Kaladin hence why she was trying to figure out if there was anything she could do! Kaladin soon admitted that he was utterly confused and very lost hanging his head in embarrassment. It was easy to tell, even for Ashanti which stated how obvious it was, that Kaladin was very nervous and feeling like a literal fish out of water. "Well we can't have that! Come with me and I'll make sure you don't get lost again!" With a determined and rather child like pout upon her face Ashanti took Kaladin by the hand and pulled him away towards a nearby stand serving many different kinds of curry to the customers.

Ashanti's idea was that getting Kaladin some food would hopefully cheer him up. help him relax and that'd hopefully make him feel a lot better! Ashanti wheeled around to face Kaladin her chest bouncing noticeably as a result of the fast movements which was not something she had intended. "I dunno if you're hungry or not but food is always helpful! So I'm going to buy you something nice!" She thrust her arms down to the ground and returned to the counter looking over the menu. A brief conversation and a few moments of waiting later and both Kaladin and Ashanti would find themselves holding boxes filled with chicken pieces and rice covered in a lovely yellow covered sauce. Ashanti had, with little clue what Kaladin liked or what curry tasted like, had just gone right for two korma curries so hopefully Kaladin would turn out to like it!

Ashanti walked away from the wooden combination of a shake and a counter finding a nearby bench to sit down on. As she walked to the bench Ashanti would often look behind her to check on Kaladin hoping he was safe and following after her; after all she didn't want to simply leave him behind as she wasn't willing to simply let him get lost again. Ashanti sat down, hopefully joined by Kaladin, and got to eating pausing after a few moments. Placing her food down on the bench next to her she would lean over to Kaladin and help him open the box feeling compelled to baby him on account of how nervously he was acting. It may be rude and a little patronizing for this giant of a women to feel compelled to baby Kaladin but his nervous behaviour was making him seem incredibly vulnerable and so she was feeling compelled to baby him. It was her natural parental instincts taking charge of her behaviour so hopefully Kaladin would be of an understanding mind.
