Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It was a festive time here in Magnolia and the festivities were far different than what was hosted back in Minstrel, but they certainly excited Emiko all the same. Of course, Theodore was always indifferent to attending activities such as this, though he always supported the harmless and good natured decisions of his larger than life companion. While things were generally very casual when holidays and festive times approached back at her old home, it appeared that a lot more serious and intense celebrations happened here. Haunted houses, parades, concerts, dances, and so much more filled the towns spread throughout Fiore, almost as if they were haunted with a curse of their own. There was news burning like rampant amongst the young ladies and gentlemen of Magnolia of a party that was going down in a graveyard that night, most of the information being spread by word of mouth. Everyone besides the elder folks were being invited and it sounded like it was going to be huge, though Emiko hadn't heard all the details.

At this point, the small girl and her even smaller friend were strolling through the Southgate Park, watching the ducks after having fed them the remainder of the bread crumbs they had. Of course, she didn't know that they were technically detrimental to their health, but as far as she saw, they were incredibly happy to gobble down their fluffy goodness. She had been discussing the thought of finding out what was going on, but it both scared her and bothered her for good reason, "... I know, Teddy." She shook her head slowly, obviously a little troubled by the look on her face, "It... reminds me." He didn't respond with affirmation or disapproval, but looked down towards the sidewalk. The poor child didn't know about the truth beyond what she saw that fateful day four years ago and, while she deserved to know eventually, there was a lot of time until that day would come. For now, she was young and free; she deserved to experience everything and have fun without such a heavy burden of honesty weighing her down, "I miss them."

Fiore was a really weird place. Despite all of the years Ashanti had actually spent in Fiore she still didn't understand it that well. One of the things she failed to understand was Halloween and the customs involved in it. She didn't understand why people dressed up in costumes, knocked on other people's doors and then asked for candy? In fact Ashanti didn't even know what candy was, what it tasted like and why people put such a high priority on it this time of year. Due to her physiology Ashanti was in fact unable to even eat candy and so that was probably part of the reason for her lack of understanding not to mention how she was incredibly dense regarding customs or anything about cultures except her own. In fact Ashanti didn't even know much about her own culture due to getting kicked out of the tribe she was born into. The only thing she knew regarding her own culture was that females did pretty much all of the work.

On any other night in Magnolia Ashanti would probably be sleeping at this time of night or consuming vast amounts of meat but tonight was different. From her room in the female dorms of Fairy Tail she looked out onto the streets of Magnolia and was surprised to see a group of people dressed as weird..wolf men things walking towards the graveyard. That was more than enough to peak Ashanti's nigh insatiable curiosity and so she climbed out of bed, slipped on some clothing and walked all the way out of the dorm room down onto the streets. Her curiosity motivated her steps as Ashanti followed after the costumed crowds heading towards the graveyard for some reason. A gathering like this in a graveyard might seem weird to most residents of Fiora but Ashanti's people didn't burry their dead, meaning they had no graveyards and as such zero cultural respect regarding them. Eventually she followed the crowds to the graveyard standing there like a metaphorical deer in the headlights.

Standing in the graveyard Ashanti's size and obviously inhuman appearance were attracting a fair amount of attention as you'd expect but she honestly didn't really care. In fact very little here was attracting the tall female's attention except for one thing. Starting towards the entrance of the graveyard Ashanti watched a young girl clutching a teddy bear walk into the graveyard. The fact this girl seemed to be utterly unattended or watched by any adult was a natural trigger for Ashanti's protective instincts. She walked over towards Emiko and bent down in front of her putting her head on the same level as Emiko's. "Hello! Are you by yourself? Where are your parents?" Ashanti tilted her head sideways a confused and very innocent expression genuinely wanting to assist Emiko. Little did Ashanti know many people, humans that is, would probably be suspicions of her due to her overly nice attitude and the fact she didn't care about societal norms.

Theodore knew that if she was to continue contemplating the idea of going or not, she'd eventually break down and he definitely did not want to deal with those circumstances. As they were walking next to each other, he'd tug at her knee high sock to grab her attention and acknowledge she should stop. Once she did so, Theodore would point at his missing eye immediately before shaking his head to which Emiko would let out an obviously forced smile, "I'm not going to cry, Teddy. Geez..." She took a deep breath in, finalizing her decision of whether or not to attend, before picking up her little friend, "Alrighty then, let's go." If the little fluffy bear had functioning organs like a human, he would have likely suffocated from how tightly Emiko had clutched him to her chest. He knew that she was pretending to be indifferent to the situation, but she had always tried to act brave and courageous during these situations. You could always tell from the way she would bite the inside of her cheeks, trying to distract herself from her own emotions with just a bit of pain.

Exiting the park and making her way to the graveyard, it was incredibly easy to tell she was extremely hesitant about the matter. She had nearly slowed to a crawl as she shuffled down to the final destination, goosebumps lining her arm as they came and went when her thoughts shifted, and eyes opened wide as if a ghost had appeared from around the corner. Eventually, she'd finally arrive at the gates to the graveyard, where everyone else was entering and the party could be seen ahead having a good time. She would take a deep breath in, having to convince herself that it was alright, as she made her way in with caution. She'd watch as people sped past her, some dressed in costumes and others in casual clothing, but she took things one step at a time until she was caught off guard by a woman dressed as a dinosaur tried to grab her attention. She tensed up, surprised anybody would speak to her as she hadn't made more friends than she could count on her hand, before she lunged forwards wrapping her arms around the woman's neck and holding tight, but nowhere near strong enough to harm the woman. Tears brimming over, yet not at the point of sobbing, she kept her grasp as she apologized out of habit, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."

Ashanti tilted her head sideways at this young, and apparently very insecure girl, as her entire body tenses up suddenly. The dinosaur women, who was standing at an impressive nine feet or two point seven meters, didn't understand what was bothering this tiny human girl or why she was so tense. Just as Ashanti leaned in to sniff Emiko's hair, a weird act but one that would help the dinosaur women remember Emiko's identity, the little girl threw her arms around Ashanti tightly cuddling her of course due to the drastic difference in height and the fact Ashanti had bent down to one knee Emiko found her face planted in the soft flesh of Ashanti's chest. Ashanti was very confused by this sudden behaviour on the part of Emiko but she merely smiled and returned the hug. The dinosaur women wrapped her arms around the small girl gently cuddling her pressing her softly against the incredibly hot(in a heat sense) body that Ashanti possessed.

"There there..it's ok...want me to help find your parents?" Ashanti was merely assuming that Emiko had lost her parents, or more accurately they had lost her, as she had no way of knowing the girl with her teddy bear had no parents; in fact were Ashanti aware that the girl with her teddy had no parents to speak of she'd probably feel very guilty about it. "It's ok...no need to cry." Ashanti smiled and, while still hugging Emiko, leaned back slightly to yet again pat the little girl on the head gently. Ashanti had no idea who this girl was, who her parents were or where she was from nor did she assume anything; Ashanti was very dense so assumptions were far beyond her personality's realm of plausible activity. Smiling softly Ashanti lifted Emiko up and put her on her shoulders to give the young girl a good view of the area. "Do you see your parents anywhere?" Even if Emiko didn't see her parents maybe a ride on the shoulders of an incredibly tall women would cheer her up? Little kids tended to like riding around on the backs of big things after all.

The warmth of a the silky, smooth skin of another human enveloping her was one of the greatest feelings Emiko had felt in a very, very long time. It had been just over four years, nearly half her life in this world, since she felt the heartwarming touch of her mother. While this didn't quite hit the emotional connection that she had with her parents, it wasn't a mere hug or cry for help. It was a way for all the negative emotions and problems that Emiko had been facing escape, allowing the warmth of a bond to fill its void. Of course, nothing could replace Teddy and his soft hugs, it didn't warm one's chilled bones like this. However, Emiko hadn't taken any consideration towards the person that she had so suddenly imposed herself upon and after a few moments, her heart rate and turmoil would begin to fade. She would remove her grasp on the woman once she was patted upon the head, but the favor of unexpected movement would be returned to the little girl. Being picked up and launched towards the heaven, Emiko would be sitting upon the shoulders of the nine foot giant that was the woman.

Taking in a deep breath of the fresh air up here, Emiko would wipe away the wet streaks from her eyes, "My parents aren't here." She didn't have to look around to know that the answer wouldn't change, regardless of what she tried to do or where she attempted to look. She knew exactly where they were and that there was no helping them, but she avoided the imagery from entering her mind as she focused on the woman below her. She stood so much taller than the other guests that were attending the party and it didn't make sense why to Emiko. Was she wearing heels or something that made her taller? She leaned over hesitantly, using the woman's mask (or so Emiko believed it was) to see her feet, but was surprised to find that no such height enhancer was there. Unfortunately, as Emiko did so, she'd drop Theodore, whom would land with a soft thud as he collided with the ground in front of the stranger. Finally showing a sign of activity, having been no longer restrained by Emiko's death grip, he stood up and brushed himself off before examining the woman, then shrugging after realizing that she showed no sign of ill will, "Oops, I dropped Teddy. I think he likes you, usually he's not very nice."

Ashanti smiled and giggled like a school girl when Emiko sat upon her shoulders without resisting. In all honesty the giant of a women had little idea that in any normal situation her behaviour would come across as incredibly rude and be a serious invasion of someone's personal space but Ashanti didn't care. Her people didn't have a concept of personal space and often spent a lot of time in close proximity to or in physical contact with one another. Ashanti had been expecting Emiko to shout and point towards her parents, after all kids detached from their parents were rather vocal about finding them, however much to the hybrid's surprise something utterly different happened. Emiko stated that her parents weren't here which really confused Ashanti. What did Emiko mean her parents weren't here? If they weren't then how did Emiko herself arrive her? Maybe she ran away from home? Yes she definitely ran away from home or that was the logical conclusion Ashanti reached.

Ashanti was actually planning to ask the tiny girl with the teddy bear if she'd run away from home and were her house was but then she dropped the stuffed toy she had been clutching tightly. Ashanti was going to bend down to pick it up, having utterly forgot to tell Emiko to hold on tight, but then the bear jumped onto his feet by himself and brushed himself down in a oddly human behaviour. This confused Ashanti greatly and she stared at the bear blankly. "Ooooh....special teddy..." And then she bent down, picked the bear up between her teeth and smiled happily like a dog with a bone. Ashanti giggled glad to hear that apparently Theodore liked her? That was good to hear as Theodore looked super cuddly! Ashanti reached to her mouth and took a hold of Theodore with a single hand before returning the slightly wet teddy-bear to Emiko. "So...did you come here by yourself?" Ashanti looked up at Emiko and rawred softly giggling yet again like a young girl in her classes not that Ashanti had ever gone to school.

It was incredibly unusual for Theodore to so easily accept someone as trustworthy and/or safe enough to qualify for his generally high standards of caution, but he truly felt that this woman had no ill will. There have been plenty of people that had approached Emiko in the past and asked her if she had been there alone or not, though not once had she been approached by a woman doing so. In Theodore's mind, women were far more trusting and simple minded creatures than their male counterparts, whom were easily corrupted and villainous. Granted, it wasn't necessarily true, but he was set in his ways and if anything ever went sour, he was more than prepared to transform into his more vicious state. Unfortunately, the only thing that did set in a bit of uncertainty in the bear's process was the reaction the costumed lady had to him. Rather than picking him up like any normal human, she bent down and grasped him with her teeth, followed by the applause of Emiko's cheerful response, "Oh, that was a good try!" It reminded her of the crane based game that some of the varying nations' arcades had, though she had always failed at winning herself any stuffed animals, "I never get lucky at that."

Theodore was slightly irritated by the unusual pattern, leaving it to the thought that she had only done it to stay in costume, but he had some of her saliva on him still. The moment that he was free and returned back to Emiko, he began rubbing his arms vigorously against his head, trying to dry off the obviously visible patch of damp cloth. Emiko offered a portion of her skirt for Theodore to dry off with, but he reluctantly declined the offer as he smacked her hand, hoping that she'd remember not to do things that many common class folks considered obscene. Showing no obvious sign that she understood what Theodore was trying to imply, she turned back to the woman, "No, I didn't." Not knowing that the woman was probably implying some sort of parent or guardian, she pointed at her traveling partner and best friend, "I came here with Teddy, of course." She looked down at the little ball of fluff that had frustratingly given up on his struggle against the wet spot, patting him happily upon the head, "He's my bestest friend and I'm his bestest friend. Wherever he goes, I go. Wherever I go, he goes. Teddy always knows best."

Ashanti giggled in a feminine youthful manner when Emiko laughed. It was in fact rather adorable to hear Emiko laugh, that said Ashanti found any children laughing cute, which in turn made the hybrid happy as well. "Raawwwwwwr Theodore tastes of...spicy stuff..." Ashanti was rather puzzled by why Theodore's taste seemed to remind her of spicy food but he was a animated living teddy bear so perhaps he just got exposed to spices some time? Yes that had to explain it! Theodore must have just gotten himself covered in spices at one point or another and not anything silly like a giant demon of fire inhabiting the form of a tiny teddy bear. That'd just be silly wouldn't it? Not that Ashanti actually knew what a demon was, what one looked like or why the people of Fiore seemed to bear a grudge against demon kind. Ashanti had, after all, not exactly been present for the demonic invasion of Fiore. It was strange to have managed to miss such a large event but Ashanti and her adoptive family had actually been out of Fiore at the time not that they didn't know the event had happened.

Ashanti was a little puzzled by what her young friend was referring to when she mentioned never getting lucky at that. It sounded like Emiko was talking about some sort of game but Ashanti had no idea what game she was actually talking about but it sounded fun! Hell Ashanti didn't even know that Emiko was talking about a game in the first place. Ashanti was a little confused when the young girl mentioned how she hadn't come here alone but then realised Emiko was talking about Theodore. It made sense the little girl wasn't alone as she had come with Theodore and Ashanti had a feeling even if the bear wasn't an animated toy bear Emiko would probably still think of him as a living creature. Young children did have a habit of making friends with their toys and treating said toys as living things which was part of what kids so god damn adorable kyaaaaaaa!~ "Ooooh..that's true! Okay if Teddy does know best does know where your parent's house is then?" Ashanti was still acting under the assumption that Emiko had merely ran away from home.

Theodore lifted his fluffy little arms, pretending to sniff his armpits as if he actually omitted any scent whatsoever. He had absolutely no idea what the woman was on about, having not known how his present form could emit anything of a scent or taste to, what he thought was, a normal human being. On the other hand, Emiko had already derailed from the context of the conversation the very moment that the woman released a completely unfamiliar sound, one of a near animal-like roar, albeit quite soft and tender in comparison. While she had the understanding of how people acted silly while in their costumes and even she had her own fair of roars in the past, this was incredibly realistic and reminded her of Theodore whenever he transformed, "How did you make that sound, lady?" It might have come off as a little rude or unexpected, but she was genuinely curious about it as she tried to mimic it through a bit of whispered practice, "Rarrrr.... awwrrgggh... rrrahhhh..." It seemed impossible to her to get it to sound just the same, but perhaps with a bit of guidance, she could get it just right or at least close enough to leave her content.

It was pretty soon that the stranger would bring up the question once more about the location of Emiko's mother and father, disguising the question by asking where she lived. Theodore, whom had found himself a comfy position on the woman's head in front of Emiko, had a sinking feeling as he knew the answer to the question, but had no way of informing the woman of the situation at hand. It was up to Emiko to answer the question, but if things were to get out of hand and she got too pestered with the questions, it was very plausible that the girl would break down. He was in a tough situation to be in so he merely tugged on Emiko's shirt, shaking his head, conveying that she should answer with a polite no. She understood in the most part, drawing attention to Theodore, though she likely answered a little too truthfully and obscure to give the woman the full understanding of the situation, "Oh, no... We don't have a house anymore." She let out a small smile, remembering how she loved the old house and all the good memories that came with it, "It was a pretty house. My Daddy built it all by himself, he told me. I miss making cakes with Mommy for when Daddy came home from work..." The tears had begun welling up, but they weren't quite flowing over, "Mommy always said I made the best cakes..."

Ashanti could not help but let out a really big laugh when she watched Teddy sniffing his armpits like that. Whatever force was controlling the animated bear it was surprisingly human in its behaviour and also REALLY GOSH DANG CUTE which in fact seemed to be a personality trait Emiko shared too. "Huuuh? How did I make it?..Umm...I just rawr?" Honestly Ashanti couldn't really explain how she was able to make that sound. It was just something she was able to do naturally. What Ashanti didn't know what that her ability to perform her roars, which she could make very loud if she wanted, came from her voice box which was a lot different than a normal human's. Any serious pondering regarding how Ashanti was able to roar so well was swiftly put out of her mind by Emiko attempting to roar as well. As you'd expect a young girl trying to roar in a scary way, and failing, was something the dinosaur women found so very adorable! And as a result Emiko would find herself picked up off the shoulders she'd been sitting on and pulled straight into Ashanti's chest then cuddled tightly.

Call the giant of a women creepy if you want but she was really really really starting to grow super super super attached to Emiko! The young girl with her teddy bear was rather adorable after all and as Ashanti would soon realised she didn't have any parents whatsoever. According to Emiko she didn't have a home anymore? It was when Emiko began to cry and mentioned how she missed making cakes with her mommy that Ashanti actually realised the truth. Emiko was by herself because she didn't have any parents which explained a lot of things indeed. "Oh....oh you poor thing..." Rawr softly Ashanti would gently cuddle Emiko softly stroking her hair in a very affectionate way. "Umm..do you wanna come live with me? I've got plenty of room at the dorms!" Ashanti's head bounced as she smiled happily clearly very sincere in her offer of accommodation. Ashanti wouldn't be able to merely sit idle and let Emiko just live by herself on the streets of Magnolia! No young girl should go without a home or a family!
