Participating Users: 博 Tenken , Balmung6 Location: An open grassy plateau approximately three kilometres in diameter, not far from the edge of the Sanzibar Desert and only a few kilometres from the fringes of the Syaris Region. Weather: Clear, but clouds are brewing overhead Specific Rules: Fight until you die, fleeing is for the weak. Post Limit: N/A It had been a long time coming. Lying on the ground, the long grass rising around him from the small indent into the earth he lay in, Eric Bashere stared up at the sky overhead and waited calmly, arms behind his head and simply enjoying the moment. For some time he had heard of the exploits of the man he had invited here today, exploits and silly actions alike in fact, and it had been an interest of his to find someone to take the edge off of his... Boredom wasn't the right word, it was closer to a lack of a challenge. Ever since he had returned from two centuries of living in Nas'Korath, a horrible existence melding both being a predator and being prey into a seamless coexistence of both, Eric had been missing something in his life. Everything here on Earthland was so static, not dynamic at all, with only prey as far as his eye had seen. It was on the recommendation of one of his few friends that he had sent the invite he had sent the day before now, an invite to a man he knew had some modicum of power. A modicum he wished to test. Lying down as he was Eric was hidden from sight, his body in grass high enough to obscure it but also a little down in the ground as well, hiding him from vision to anyone approaching horizontally. However his avatar of power and horror stood nearby, waiting to the outside world to be the recipient of the challenge that was to take place here today. Qui'Ran bore Eric's old body, the body he had had as a boy and to anyone who had not met Eric since his return and seen his lithely powerful adult form they would mistake Qui'Ran for him. At least until the boy-thing spoke and revealed it's true nature. Even as a young man Eric had been urbane and civilised, witty and calm in the face of things with only a mild tendency towards outrageous bloodlust and horrible desolation. Qui'Ran bore no such restraint, acting as a crude summon of a living malevolence to everything around him. Blitz's presence here would be met with scorn from Qui'Ran, not the calm acceptance Eric usually gave to people, but it was only a matter of time until the man arrived. Things were in place after all, it was time to get the show properly on the road. Maybe for once Eric wouldn't feel like everything was just prey... Maybe. |

Eric and Qui'ran wouldn't be kept waiting for much longer. Even as they waited, they would spot a figure on the horizon, walking closer, a silhouette of a tall man with a hat that add about an extra foot and some change to his height, and would have cast a long shadow across the field had it been closer to sundown or sunrise, but no such luck with it being midday and clouds beginning to form. Blitz walked up, hands in his pockets in his usual, semi-casual style that he tended to deal with things both silly and serious, though in truth, this was about as serious a matter as he'd had to personally deal with in the past few years. He'd been through alot - wars, demon invasions, and other comparable fights - but he was on an ironic parallel with Eric in one manner of speaking - he too, hadn't had a 'real' challenge for quite some time, to the point where if not for the recent events of the Boscan Treaty, he'd have worried that his skills would - quite literally - be getting rusty. Unbeknownst to either combatant, however, the very 'friend' who had suggested Blitz as an opponent had likely been the very one Blitz had been itching for a rematch against, so this fight was an appropriate one on multiple levels. "Apologies for the wait," Blitz said with a gesture. "Meant to get here sooner, but there were things that needed tending to." Blitz drew his hands from his pockets, though he didn't take up a combat stance - not yet, anyway. "I will admit, after seeing what you could do back during the Demon Invasion, I can't deny that I'm looking forward to someone who can keep up - been awhile since I've had a chance to really cut loose." Blitz glanced between Qui'ran and Eric. "Though I do question the additional persona. Did you have an older brother I wasn't aware of?" "Or did you have a little brother and you finally hit puberty?" Shoop said with a slight cackle. |
