Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Killer Lord, The Silencer of Men.

She immediately regretted her choice of closing in on the man as she watched him not only notice her but reach to grab her again. The feeling of having her magic forcefully drained was not one that she liked and it would absolutely horrid if it happened again. Luckily the witch girl was there as support and covered for Setsuna's mistake.

Backing up to watch as she avoided the man's reach yet again, Setsuna looked around frantically for something that could be of help. Maybe that...Running towards the street, Setsuna would pick up a trash can. Slightly pausing as she gathered strength to hold it above her had, Setsuna would do a little skip as she stuck her foot forward and used the momentum to send the trashcan flying towards the man.

"Tttttttttttttaaaaaaaaaake Tttttthiiiiiiiissssssss!"

She would yell as her only method of assaulting the man became apparent.

Julian was doing his best to keep the killer on his heels, but he didn't seem very interested in fighting the young thief. Instead, his attention seemed mostly focused on the card-wielding woman who was obviously the real threat to his plans. Julian wasn't about to let his cockiness go unpunished, lauching once more at the scythe-wielding maniac. He hacked and slashed at him, but the killer was quick to bat his weapons to the side, reaching through the flurry of strikes and grasping the thief by his head, the heel of his palm covering his eyes.

Almost immediately, the sensation jolted through Julian's body. It was agony, intensified into something worse. Julian suddenly felt as though someone was standing on his chest, each breath a struggle against an invisible force. His mind went blank as he felt his life being sucked out of him. The only thing that saved him was accompanied by the smell of mold and rot, the thrown garbage can distracting the killer from his victim.

Julian collapsed to the ground: his lungs screaming for air, his blood pulsing in his temples. For a moment, he was completely still, looking defeated and battered. Then he rose. Julian slicked his hair back into a spiky mess, his eyes filled with a renewed vigor... and his lip curled in a wicked smile. He moved about for a moment, as if he was getting adjusted to a new set of clothes. With a chuckle, the young theif readied himself for battle, cracking his neck as he got into his stance.

"Well, much as I appreciate your goals, Bonesy, I think I'm going to have to kill ya~!"

The thing controlling Julian relished the pain, used it as a weapon. He let it egg him on, fuel his strikes. He attacked with the aggression and killing intent of a cornered animal, but with none of the fear. The killer had a harder time keeping up with him now, actively working to keep up with the sheer ferocity of the possessed thief's strikes. Still, even now, it seemed that he was more than capable of handling Julian... if not for the intrusion of the other two.

Both of the random allies around had chose to act and thus help with the attack. The killer was outmatched-- 3 against 1, even if he did have the ability to siphon off magic, his attackers were far more keener than his earlier victims.

"HEY! That really hurts!!" he shouted, before being kicked in the face by a trash can.

As the others attacked, Syeena also drew out a card, and darkness coated it as she used her magic to enhanse the card's damage. "You may want to get back," Syeena suggested to her new friends as she aimed, and threw the darkness encased card.

It shot through the air and attempted to hit the killer, but the man soon saw it and diverted it with the trashcan. Despite all the aid of her allies, it was not enough to distract him from the throwing card...

... but what followed sure did. With a snap of her fingers, the card that had landed on the ground beside him suddenly caught fire, signaling that the Emperor Card she threw was about to use its true effect.

Seeing it, the killer's eyes widened. "Uh, oh!" he said. And it was time for others to get clear.

KABOOOM!!!

The card erupted in the narrow allyway, causing a heated explosion that jumped high into the air. Syeena's hair flew back from the blast, along with a hot gust of air, signaling her use of fire magic with the card.

The thing controlling Julian's body wasn't fond of humans, but he wasn't stupid. That little human minx had given the warning to her allies, and the demon was not about to ignore it for the simple fact of his pride. Even with his arrogance, the demon was glad that he cleared out when he did, the explosion sending a wave of dark smoke billowing past his unblinking face. As soon as he could make out the figure in the chaos, the demon inhabiting Julian's body sprung forth.

"Much as I have to thank you for freeing me," he snarled, "But I need this body, and I can't exactly use it if you kill him."

His body seemed to graze the floor as he advanced on his enemy, plunging through the wreckage left from Syeena's attack. His first strike lobbed at the killer's feet, looking to hobble him and make him easier to finish. The demon was quick to combo, kicking up from the floor and slashing vertically with his left arm's mounted blade. He didn't overstay his welcome, though, quickly leaping back from the killer's reach, in anticipation of his magic.

The demon braced himself, not sure if he should expect a counter-attack from the weakened killer. Still, it wasn't wise to assume his opponent was defeated... he had done such with Julian, and it had gone rather poorly for him, leading to him being trapped in the boy's mind by that meddling peddler, Callahan. The demon shook Julian's head, a searing pain echoing between his ears. With a mortal body, the pain wasn't as easy to thrive in. It weakened them, made them vulnerable. Still, the demon held control over Julian's body, not ready to give up control.

Inside his mind, Julian desperately fought back.

Hit!

Grinning with complete glee as the trashcan had hit the man, Setsuna was instantly discouraged as the attack from her witch looking ally was blocked with said trashcan. Though the warning was enough time for Setsuna to do a tiny leap back as the backlash of the explosion filled the area. So her cards had different effects? Was that her magic or the magic of the cards themselves? Intrigued Setsuna would of moved towards Syreena to start conversation as if the fight they were earlier entrapped in was over...

And yet the man amongst them jumped into the smoke, as if attempting to finish off the weakened killer. Assuming he survived the explosion.

But something seemed off about the man. He seemed more drastic in his movements now as if he was trying a different style of fighting. Something more savage, something more wild and untamed almost...demonic. If he was someone being possessed Setsuna knew just how to deal with him, but at the moment he was someone he had to work with. The main concern was the defeat of the mage killer and nothing else would come before it.

"Lets finish this!"

Through both the beating-- and Syeena's rather spectacular explosion, it was hard to see anything or bare against the intense heat of the blast. Rejoining them back on the ground, Syeena hopped off the rooftop and landed beside them gracefully. As the blaze flared, they waited to see what was going to happen.

Suddenly through the smoke-- they could see it. The skeletal tattooed creep slowly limping out of the flames. He was a mess, and the look on his face was almost maddening. Syeena didn't let her guard down as she drew more of her cards between her fingers and held her arm back, preparing to strike if needed.

"You wicked brats... I'll make... you pay!!"

"MMRRREEEOOWWW!!" Hex meowed as she came from above!! Syeena looked up to see her Exceed black cat come flying down and attacked the killer's face. She scratched at him with paws, clinging to him as she cut him up. "Take that, and that! And that!!" Hex shouted, stuck on the killer's face.

"Bak-- ahh! What the F*** ! Get off me ya stupid piece of..." the killer shouted, trying to pull Hex off his face.

Seeing an opportunity, Syeena coated her cards with darkness magic again. This time she aimed low, striking the man's knees and legs to send him toppling over should the others hit as well. Either way, she had good aim, and didn't want to hit her cat companion!

Julian dropped his sword to the floor, the one on his left arm still tied tightly to his forearm. He clutched at his head wildly, suddenly taken aback by a tremendous pain in his head. His blade rested softly on his hair, the metal feeling cool to the touch on his scalp. He stepped forward, then rocked to the side, all the while screwing his eyes shut, trying to will himself back into control. He felt the urge... the urge to turn on his allies. For a moment, he relished the thought.

He turned back to the duo he'd been fighting alongside, his weapon still brandished, although it was clear that he was weak, maybe even delirious. He stumbled again, using his blade to catch himself, using it for support, like a cane. His eyes met Syeena's, and something went off. Somewhere in Julian's mind, a spark of his will shone forth, fighting against the darkness. The demon wavered, and Julian felt himself regaining control.

It felt as though he was being stabbed in the head by a hundred needles, each one rendered dull and wretched by rust and time. He fell roughly to his knees, going silent for a moment, his expression finally calming. There was still pain, but not like before. It throbbed, it ached, but it was... tolerable. And what's more... Julian could feel that it was his pain alone. There was no one else to share it with. He was alone.

"I'm... I'm sorry. I-" he didn't know what to say, didn't even know how to start.

Did they understand what he had been meaning to do? Were they aware that Julian had, only moments before, been advancing on them with intent to draw blood? They could have been oblivious, and for that, Julian would be glad. However, if they weren't, what were the odds that they would deal with him the same way they'd dealt with the Mage-Killer? Julian felt like he needed to explain himself.

"I'm... I'm fine now. I jus'..." he still couldn't manage the words, "Just... I need ta go."

Watching as a black cat dropped from the sky and aided their cause, Setsuna could not help but watch the swordsman. He seemed deeply troubled by something and she was even on edge as he waved his sword wildly for a bit only to support himself on it as if he could hardly stand. Would she have to subdue him? The last thing they needed was for one of their own to go crazy and allow the mage killer a chance to escape.

Prepping herself to tackle him to the ground, Setsuna would watch as something in him changed and he began to mumble. The words barely came out but Setsuna understood enough that the rest of the Mage Killer's capture would be on the shoulders of the two women in the group. Noticing that Syreena was preparing yet another card, Setsuna could only assume it was going to be on par or stronger than the last one.

She could only stand by and watch as her allies did their own respective things, Jullian seemingly wishing to take a break from the finale of the battle and Syreena wishing to finish it off in a final blow. Setsuna would decide that she would be the one to deal with the aftermath whatever the outcome of the next attack would be.

It was strange to see the man, Julian's reaction, but the fight was over as Syeena had crippled the killer and further, the attack was all it needed to make the guy fall over.

The killer fell flat on his face right as Hex hopped off. His tattoos were all messed up now thanks to Hex using his face like a scratching post. The little Exceed cat was handy to have around as back up and to attack stalkers as well.

As he was now incapacitated and unable to fight, Syeena kept her cards light in hand and turned to her new friends. She was a bit out of place, considering how they all met up together. But there, in the night hour, they had done the city a good service by stopping the murderer.

"Wow... Halloween really is a busy night, isn't it? Thank you, you two. I really appreciate the help," Syeena said, smiling at them. "I was looking for this guy to stop the killings. I hope you all aren't too hurt," she said and exquipt her cards away, sending them back to her 'deck'.

Soon they would hear the voices of the knights coming to check the commotion. Hearing them, Syeena knew she had to split. After all, in her present outfit her Grimore Heart tattoo could be seen. Last thing she wanted as the knights to get the wrong impression. "Gotta go!" Syeena said in a chipper tone, and with Hex beside her, they ran off down the ally and into Halloween night.

Julian was quick to follow Syeena's cue, darting off in the opposite direction. Maybe it was for the best that he wasn't sticking around. He didn't know what it was that the demon had done: what made him strong enough to take control, and honestly, he didn't want to find out, especially when he was around other people. It wasn't safe... he could end up hurting someone, and knowing how the demon operated, they would probably be someone innocent.

He found himself ducking through back alleys and side streets until the sounds of people dulled to a low roar. He ducked into a crevice, trying to catch his breath. After a few moments, Julian felt like he could relax, but even he didn't really believe that. He might be safe from the Knights, but he definitely wasn't safe from himself. The demon could come back at any moment... Julian had thought Callahan had just been acting dramatic.

He pulled his sleeve up, revealing the tattooed seal which Callahan had given him a few days prior. It wasn't the same as a normal tattoo... the ink was mixed with... something else. Callahan had warned him that the seal wouldn't be as effective until it had healed. He said that any moment of weakness could serve to be a doorway through which the demon could escape. Julian knew that the old man was cautious, prone to dramatics. He figured that his warning had just been more of his theatrics.

The Halloween Festival had always been something that the young thief looked forward to... something that he had only associated with good things. Now, his new reality was reinforced. The Festival was only the reminder of two things in his life now: his parents' murderer and a demon who sought to wrest control of his very being. Maybe it was good that he moved to Trillium. Magnolia only held bad memories for Julian... It had slowly turned into a symbol of everything wrong in Julian's life.
